Which team has the better Purple Uniforms, the Baltimore Ravens or the Minnesota Vikings?

The Vikings, because I don't like the Raven's use of black with the purple.

If the Vikings added the UCLA stripes and maybe a more custom number font, their jerseys would be sweet.

I like the Vikes better. As for the stripes, I have always liked how the Vikings had different stripe designs for their home and away jerseys. Of course, the classic Minnesota unis are superior to the modern ones, I think. Though the changes have been subtle, the purple seems to get more blue-ish every year, the horn on the helmet keeps shrinking, and I have never been sold on any facemask for them other than gray, even though I usually prefer color on most teams.

I have always loved the Ravens' font and I loved their first helmet, but I think they have serious uni problems with the current helmet. The logo is bad and the purple stripes vanish on the black shell and are in need of some trim. Gold or red, anyone? I think the black jersey is a bad look and they should stick with the purple. And they should stay away from the all-whites. I say pay the security guard and go back to the old helmet, wear purple tops with white bottoms at home and white tops with black bottoms on the road, and trim the helmet stripes with red and/or gold. But definitely keep the purple. It is an homage to the iridescence of their mascot's feathers.

The Vikings. I'd say the Ravens are more of a black colored team.

????

As for the topic as a whole, I will recuse myself because I can't be unbiased about this.

I don't know, but the Vikings/Bengals matchup a few weeks back was one of the most horrible looking games ever. Yeah, that's mostly Cincy's fault. But orange/purple are two colors that just dont mix.

Vikings. A raven is blacker than tar, so it doesn't make sense for the Baltimore Ravens to have purple uniforms... maybe as an alt.

Neither!!!! Purple stinks! It's second only too green as the worst football color. If the Ravens had gone royal and black...now that would be sweet.

Vikings. Unlike most I think they have one of the more solid unis in the league, prolly top 10.

So you would want them to look like football's version of the KC Royals?

And to say that purple and green are worst colors than powder blue - people should be beaten with really big sticks with lots of splinters for that

Except actual ravens don't have any blue in them. They have a purple tint, thus the color combination.

Actually, it's not. See above (and maybe below, where I think you can see the sheen to some degree -- best photo I could dig up without killing myself).

Ravens should wear black from head to toe, because really, does anyone care if the Lewises aren't impeccably dressed?
English uses the possessive clitic -'s to mark possession. When it is used after a plural noun ending in -s it is reduced to an apostrophe ('). Thus, bus's means 'that which belongs to a bus', but buses' means 'that which belongs to a number of buses'. However, traditionally, certain classical, but not modern, names that end in -s also use the apostrophe-only clitic to mark the possessive. This is the case with Jesus, where the possessive is Jesus'. The two words, with and without an apostrophe, are pronounced exactly the same. Only the context determines whether the possessive is being used or not in speech. However, Jesus's, the form that would be dictated by strict application of the standard rule, is also seen today.

If it is ever needed, the plural (belonging to a number of Jesuses) would be Jesuses'.

Wow... so purple does fit with the ravens colour scheme, and very nicely too! Stupid me must've been confusing a raven with a crow.

I don't think it's just them. The decals on many teams seem to be smaller. I thought that today while watching the Steelers.

Just seems like there's much more room for that kinda thing.
