DeFrank's NFL Redesign

I don't have anything against Nike. I think they make some pretty nice products, but Reebok, UA and adidas make basically the same products, so I bring that up whenever people go Nike-wild. Nike is a marketing company who makes sportswear. They position that sportswear in such a way that to the buyer it feels superior to and more bada$$ than the other brands' sportswear. The other brands do it as well, but not to the same degree.

More than anything, I just think it's funny that people are counting down the days to Nike's takeover of the NFL contract as if they're going to be the visual savior of the NFL.

I see. But, again, I was just saying that I, myself am looking forward to the Nike NFL jerseys. That's all. I was not talking about nor do I care which brand is the market leader, or which brand is more loved or people being nike-wild or not or whether they are made basically the same and so on... I just like Nike and I like their gear and Im excited for them to take on the NFL.

Great designs, DeFrank. You should just post all the designs on the first post and whenever you have a new one, post the design and add the link to the complete list of the first post. thumbs%20up%20smiley.gif

Im lookin forward to seeing a Jets or Saints design by you, if you are planning to make one.

Yea and as you can see, I've been doing these since November. I plan on doing the whole NFL, maybe I'll tackle the Saints next, although I love their current set.

Very small changes here. I simply added a pants stripe (and thus removed a logo) from both the black and gold pants. I also added gold socks for the black pants to prevent the "pajama" look. The Saints have a great identity, and I wanted to keep to that. C&C if you have it.

the Saints concept is flat out perfect.

I concur; I appreciate that you kept it true. If anything, I would like to see the old school black helmet as a potential option. EXCELLENT JOB.

You barely changed anything for the Saints. A black helmet with an all gold uniform would look great.

Why you make fun of me? I make concept for Auburn champions and you make fun of me. I cry tears.
Chopping off the dicks of Filipino boys and embracing causes that promote bigotry =/= strong moral character.

LOVE the Saints concept...even the black pants (which I can't stand right now). I think the modification of the pant stripe is a great nod to the past and also helps to break up the monotone look of the all-black unis. And I agree with removing the hip logos...I'm starting to get fleur-de-lis'ed out.

We'll agree to disagree. The one time they used the gold jerseys they were hideous. And I can't imagine how horrible it would look with different shades of gold between the pants and jerseys. I wouldn't mind a black shell or even a white as alts though.

I agree...looks very close to the current set.

I suggest using the current look with "Archie Manning Gold".

As I said in the description, "Very small changes here". I think their current set is very good and I just wanted to tweak it by making it match and look slightly better. I know that with pretty much every team I've posted I've made some sort of major change, but this is not one of them.

A lot of folks just don't like it when the helmet/jersey/pant combo is three different colors, but in some cases it really works. For me personally, it works great when the helmet is gold or silver, which is why it looks so good on this concept. Well done!

Whats up with that weird dot over the "i" in Saints on the jersey? Use the current Saints wordmark and then it would be perfect.

Yea I found a word mark that was really similar so I could use the New Orleans script in the little info section. It just becomes more practical to type it in instead of taking an image, converting a background, erasing, creating an outline, etc.

What I love about the Saints update is that is fixes issues with an otherwise great uniform. Matching stripes, adding stripes on the black pants....perfection. Add a white bottom with black/gold/black stripe and I would pay money to have this rolled out....thanks.

I totally agree. As I said earlier, the stripes on the black pants would make them acceptable to me in real life.

Yep. Why they ever lightened the original Old Gold I'll never know. It pops against the black so much better than the Vegas gold, especially with the wider white border they used on the numbers then.

I like this set btw. Very nice. I noticed the NOBs on the black jerseys are white, is that intentional? They're gold now. One thing I really wish the Saints would change is the goofy looking font used on the helmet rear bumpers. It's a small thing, yes, but using the wordmark font would look so much better.
