The Angles are trying to get a share of the LA market. This would have all been a "moo" point if the Angles did not change there name from Los Angeles to California Angeles in the 60's. Quillz
Angels began their franchise as the L.A. Angels and they never should have changed. The "of Anaheim" is only on there due to some legal compromise that was made with the city.

It knows it must outrun the slowest gazelle or it will starve. It doesn't matter whether you're a lion or a gazelle. When the sun comes up, you'd better be running." - Unknown | Check out my articles on jerseys at Bacon Sports
larrypep
Angels began their franchise as the L.A. Angels and they never should have changed. The "of Anaheim" is only on there due to some legal compromise that was made with the city. The "legal compromise" was the city of Anaheim paying to renovate Angels Stadium into the nice baseball-only facility it now is. Part of the deal was to rename the team from "California Angels" to "Anaheim Angels". The new owner (he came in after the stadium renovation) Artie Moreno wanted to rebrand as the "Los Angeles Angels" but had to contend with this clause, hence, the ridiculous "Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim". Moreno didn't want to use this compromise name, but he had to. Once the deal runs out, I'm pretty confident that he'll go back to "Los Angeles Angels". The Green Bay Packers Uniform Database! loogodude90
The Dodgers haven't finished with a better record than the Angels since the Angels "moved" back to Los Angeles. Maybe that's why this cheap shot took so long. If the Dodgers played better in the past 6 years they probably wouldn't feel the need to make this unfunny shirt. Drakonius26
Didn't the deal end a while back? Specifically in 2009 after the lawsuit was dropped? I mean, no offense to Anaheim, but you got the Ducks and Disneyland, stop ing already.
