The B in the Ravens logo was designed to attract the fans from Cleveland that just had their hearts ripped out and rioted? The uniform is great because it has elements of "Nazi/SS, biker gang, goth/rock clubs"? My gods this is a horrible post, not just the opinions but also the composition. Everyone is right - get a blog or start your own forum. Just don't promote it here.

I served with Mel Brooks. I knew Mel Brooks. Mel Brooks was a friend of mine. Sir, you're no Mel Brooks.

Invoking "PC" as an epithet is a surefire way to lose the argument. You'd be much better off respecting the opinions of your fellow posters even if you don't share them.

Sorry...no. Sometimes a coincidence is just that. A coincidence. Besides. Your conspiracy theory would mean that the Chargers' attempt to move to LA was a smokescreen. Which means all the reports of Dean Spanos being dejected after the vote are a testament to his great acting skills. And I don't believe Dean Spanos is good at anything.

The way these sentences are spaced makes me want to read this as beat poetry. With random bongo playing.

How considerate of Arsenal to put color bars on the keeper's shoulders. Fans can calibrate their televisions during warm-ups.

At the beginning of the playoffs it actually took me a game or two to even realize that was Joe Thornton under that beard. It's almost as if he went into the witness protection program in order to hide from his past reputation. I expect for him to play next game in a hoodie and sunglasses.

No matter which way they go, the team logo on the socks is stupid. The socks just need to show the team color or colors but there's no need to a logo on them.

I am also rooting for Lebron and the Cavs, but the collect kvetching from NBA fans would be too much fun. We have to deal with it in hockey and baseball annually where a less than ideal matchup presents itself in the final due to the good bounce/bad bounce lucky random nature of the two sports and we all still watch anyways (just ask Sabresrule!), but in basketball usually the best teams find their way into the finals and the Finals are usually the matchup everyone expected. If we spent an entire season talking about a Warriors/Cavs rematch only to not see either team that would be funny to me.

I will laugh and laugh and laugh if the Finals turn out to be Thunder-Raptors.

It's sort of an arched transparent canopy, yeah. Doesn't retract, but lets air in through the sides. Sure will be cooler than that warehouse in St. Louis. I only wish it could have the rolling natural grass the Cardinals have. The less carpet, the better.

Awesome work! I feel like now after seeing this, the bat should've been there the whole time. The ATL in the pattern doesn't have to be that noticeable, since the 'A' represents Atlanta anyways. It's just one of those semi-hidden features. Cool stuff man. Good work.

Yes! The ones I've been waiting for. What is remarkable about Mike is he takes what you tell him you think your favorite team (Rams) should use as their uniforms, and he runs with it. His attention to detail is what I admire the most. He pulled out all the stops for my Rams and I could not be more happy with this set. I wish the boys were still in St. Louis but these would bring back the LA days with a touch from the past. The color scheme used is a must. The detail and fluidness throughout the whole uniform is something Mike takes pride in and this uniform set right here is exactly why his designs are a head above the rest. Great work man!

All I ask is please please please don't become the next "Boston/Ma$$hole sports fan". Btw you owe the Sharks an apology for publicly disowning them for good following the reverse-sweep.

Thanks guys, here's a minor update with a color redistribution, new sock stripes, and the "A" crest on the green alt (as the recolored "Diamondbacks" script didn't look all that great).

I'm back at this with another new logo I finally got around to finishing. Just like the Bulldogs above, 'Vikings' is another one of the more common nicknames, and often times you see both colleges and high schools using the Minnesota Vikings logo. Even in my home state of Wisconsin where the Minnesota Vikings are loathed, there are a couple schools that use the Minnesota logo. That inspired me to make this concept. (Again, it's also up on my Behance page for those who care to take a look there.) https://www.behance.net/gallery/37547739/Vikings-Logo

I love what you've done for the Rams. It's modern, but throws back to the old in a nice way. I love subtle nods in jersey design.

I actually prefer what they went with here - where the P and S follow along the same curved path: Over this - a (crappy pixelated) alteration where the lower S follows the contours of the shield, and ends up dipping much lower than the P, creating an even greater right-side imbalance in my mind: What I don't care for is how much the lower left portion of the S extends upward. But I guess getting a P and S to mirror each other perfectly is next to impossible.

That's not what a thread is, you're thinking of a blog. if you look at threads they generally have titles like "Unpopular Opinions" or "NBA Changes 2015-16." If you started a "Random Thoughts/Opinions" thread that'd be something else, but I'm pretty sure that already exists. Also I know you're not a Nazi. I'm just saying that positively comparing a jersey to a Nazi uniform to the extent that you post a picture of an SS officer may not be the best idea.

Lukas gets too much into the non-issue of pants length in that article. The real issue is when multiple players on the same team wear their pants high (good), but then wear different socks on the field at the same time (bad). MLB needs to put a bottle on this. You want an official sock provider? Great. Make every player wear their official team sock(s). Make every team designate an official sock design to be worn with a designated uniform and all the players all must wear the same sock on the same day lest they get fined. If a guy wants to wear stirrups that's great, but the stirrup's design should match the full sock everyone else is wearing. It's not hard. It's no different than if two different players were on the field wearing two different hats. It's no different than how every player on an NFL team must have matching socks.

I hope that they bring the Larry O'Brien trophy back on the courts for the finals or at the very least as a jersey patch.

It's novel. I'd have preferred an open-air, natural-grass stadium, but they needed to go above and beyond to close this deal. If we'd gotten an open-air, natural-grass stadium, we'd be talking about the Los Angeles Chargers out in Carson.

Analytics don't interest most white people, either. It's a niche that's wildly over-represented in blogs, often most vociferously by erstwhile humanities students who were allergic to math their whole lives but want something to lord over the normies. Even in hockey, which has the narrowest diehard-to-casual ratio of the four leagues, most fans couldn't tell you crap about Corsi or PDO and wouldn't want to anyway because it doesn't matter as much as grit and effort and knowing how to do all the little things. (The worst part is they're half-right.) I also think analytics haven't served basketball terribly well, owing to the fluidity and intensely personal nature of the game. The Warriors are allegedly an analytics-based team, but there's not a lot of advanced math to the idea that if you have a once-in-a-generation guy who can drain threes from all over the floor, you should let him. Then there's Daryl Morey, who has been flailing around for years with precious little to show for it.

http://deadspin.com/kevin-durant-on-draymond-greens-non-suspension-the-le-1778495598 I've read and heard this a few times since the Draymond non-decision came out, and at the risk of sounding like a curmudgeon, I disagree. What, exactly, is the point of sport if you don't enforce the rules? I'm generally okay with the idea of superstar non-calls, because I don't think random slight fouls or non-game-affecting travels should have a huge influence on the game. But kicking a guy in the nuts used to be a pretty clear dividing line of allowable play. That is, there are certain things we agreed our athletes wouldn't do to each other. I think the slipper slope argument is for dullards, but that's what I'm left with here. If Draymond can kick a guy in the balls, then what can't he do? And where is the line? Can Steven Adams do it? Has crossed the right level of superstardom? Also, I think the Warriors playing without Draymond is compelling in its own way. Championing entertainment over integrity kind of negates sport, doesn't it?

Wow.... this.... this is perfection at its finest. This is how you do an update! Everything meshes in wonderfully, albeit I do see the slight issues with the ATLANTA script already mentioned. I can't wait to see how these would look on jerseys, and hopefully you update other teams in similar fashions.

I would normally agree, but most of the other concepts I've seen for the new logo wind up feeling a little muted in the stripe. This one doesn't have that feel and keeps it clean and concise. I like keeping the red separate from the word crest. It might be worth considering adding a thin navy stripe to the top and bottom to "bulk it up", if anything.

Black? I know they've used it as a (very) minor accent color, but expanding that into a primary would be a significant change, not "staying true to their past".

Yeah. Agreed. The Raiders wore gold from 1960-63. The Orange, I don't think, counts.

LOS ANGELES RAMS Primary/Alternate Uniforms: So my roommate @ThePastor is a huge Ram's fan. We have always agreed that the Rams throwback look is their best look as does most people. With that being said, there is still ways to modernize that classic look and that is exactly what I did. The Rams need exciting uniforms for their move to LA but they don't have to do that by rebranding one of the best logo sets in the NFL. Everything gets recolored, a lighter shade of blue replaces the Navy and yellow replaces their gold color. The horns are stylized on the helmet and uniforms to match the logo better. I also added a "horn" like stripe to the pants. All of the fonts are updated to match the wordmark better, and by doing this I also created a secondary LA logo which can be seen on the undershirt and the pants. I'm a little skeptical about where it is placed it on the pants, it may just need to be recolored there. The collar is also heavily stylized. I think the Rams actually pull of the Nike collar now but thought I'd try to make it flow a little bit better with the rest of the uniform. Other than that, everything else is pretty much self explanatory. Home Uniform Away Uniform Alternate Uniform Throwback Set: The Rams get a bit of a fauxback. I put the Saints in all-white for this game so the Rams decide to counter with a monochrome look as well. The jersey style actually comes from their current throwback set but uses the "Fearsome Four" navy and white color scheme. I also decided to go with an inverted helmet making it white with blue horns as a way to counter the Saints gold helmet with white uniforms. This would be the first time the Rams have ever worn a white helmet. @Broncoboy7 Good point, I'll go back and adjust the undershirt's logo!

https://d13yacurqjgara.cloudfront.net/users/449583/screenshots/1340840/hawaii_dribbble.png The crest is old, Nope, its neither. It is apart of the jersey design, most of lulu's shirts have three marks in that position. So I figured for 'realistic' purposes I would include them. I didn't add it to the collar of the white jersey because in soccer the Primary/Clash kits are usually quite different. I have posted it on here before. But since you asked Ill post it again, it was originally done in 2013. And @MDTrey4, I chose lululemon as the manufacture because I have really grown to like the products they produce (also, a rival owner from the league thought about using them and I wanted to jump on it first!).
