  1. Saw it mentioned on reddit, but I thought I would reiterate: This mark is devoid of black.
  2. I would be very surprised if there wasn't one. The team is going to drag this fight out with Glendale as long as possible.
  3. Found at a Ross in Dallas for $7.99
  4. Responding to this here, since it's technically a playoff logo set for the 2014-2015 season. Anybody happen to know the font the league is using for the year numbers? It looks familiar, but I can't place it.
  5. What would a truly mirrored Columbus home uni look like? With White shoulder-arm stripes instead of navy?
  6. The Kachina, Spiritual beings from the cultures of the American Southwest. I really liked the Coyotes original branding. The whole thing really paid homage to the Southwest. At the time of the relocation, I thought the Coyotes identity did better to represent the location than the bland Red/White/Blue identity of the Jets did in Winnipeg. Just look at the Coyotes original logo and compare it to the pictures I posted above. It was an amazingly clever way of tying Hockey to the history of the culture in Arizona.
  7. From what i've heard here, the new owner despises it. And from looking at nhluniforms.com, the first year the owner had full control, he dropped the jersey with the primary logo, leaving the Dallas script jersey as the primary and only home/away until he could rebrand I thought I read they couldn't find a way to make green and gold/the old logo work/look good with the new jersey design. Although maybe you're and that was just said to appease Dallas fans who didn't want the only logo they've ever had changed. It has been said before that the main reason they dropped gold was the disparity between golds in differing pieces of merchandise. I owned a hat that had the old logo on it with a "metallic" gold that can only be described as a dirty bronze, especially compared to the crest on the authentic uniform I have with its shimmery gold embroidery. The team dropped gold because with silver, you either get metallic silver or flat grey. No room for error when they license to third parties. Yeah but the Stars weren't the only team in pro sports wearing metallic gold. Other teams have no problem using it. Ottawa's used gold pretty well since 1992. The Stars could have worked gold in there somewhere. A little gold trim on those new unis would be incredible. The Stars aren't the Ottawa Senators. The team wanted uniformity in all facets of their brand, including merchandise. This is why they dropped the gold in favor of silver. ..cue the "BUT, OTHER TEAMS USE IT" response ad nauseam.

  9. then that's REALLY over-thinking something. Plenty of other teams makes those gold/yellow colors work.
  10. Management pretty much came out and said at the reveal the reason they dropped gold in favor of silver was keeping the identity uniform in all forms of merchandise. I own older stars merch with gold that varies from bright, shimmery metallic gold to dark, horseradish mustard brown. Silver is either shiny or it's grey.
  11. And the blue was a lighter shade, If I remember correctly.
  12. The socks look identical to the Bruins alt's socks, and they don't match the arm stripes. I know it would be difficult to have these socks perfectly match the arm stripes(yellow top, black bottom), but at the least I wish they would mirror the waist stripes.
  13. The best thing about the Lightning identity I miss are the armpit stripes.
  14. So, do we consider the new alts a rip off of a rip off? For the sake of brevity, I think we can all settle on simply calling them "bad".
  15. It's not bad, I don't "not" like it. On another note: There's a reason the "weagle" is on the shoulders.
