  1. College Football uniforms- 2018

As a UW alum, you nailed it. Nike couldn't possibly justify over paying for UW when Oregon has the ties and has been a much better program for the last decade. I love my Dawgs, but I don't believe we're worthy of a top 10 revenue apparel deal. So many other schools I would put ahead of us in the national conversation. I get why UW would take the deal, but I'm not looking forward to the changes I expect to see coming. Best case is a 91 inspired throwback with weird metallic numbers and an unnecessary pattern, al la Miami.
  2. NHL 2017-18

If I'm not mistaken, one of the members here, @Puckguy14 had a hand in designing the Barracuda jerseys. They look sharp!
  3. MLB changes 2018?

First off, the Blofeld reference for Chase Field is amazing! Regarding Miller Park, I always thought it was depressing on TV as it usually looks dark and has shadows, when I went to a mid summer day game there, I was pleasantly surprised by how much lighter it felt than on TV. Still not an outdoor park, but better than I was expecting. The part that got my attention was Seattle. As a native to the PNW, I used to go to M's games in college and buy the left field bleachers for like $15. We'd go after class on a Tuesday and the like. Early in the season, there were games where we would get rained on since the roof doens't actually enclose the ballpark. We'd be out there in thick jackets to try and stay warm and try and move to better seats since the wind would carry the rain in and sometimes would hit the entire LF bleacher area. I now live in sunny San Diego and was actually clamoring to go home for an early season, closed roof game at Safeco Field. Do I prefer the open roof, absolutely, but there's something great about a dark, ominous sky in the background with rain pouring down and you sitting in the little bubble watching baseball that I love. I also the Safeco does a great job of converting to an open air ballpark, unlike some of the others mentioned.
  4. As a entitled Millennial, I must apologize. I know this not expected of my generation, but I was wrong. For my ignorance, I will punish myself by not getting my daily Unicorn Frappucino with 4 pumps of vanilla and extra whip. I will also put down my cellphone for a continuous 7 minutes and not check my Snaps, Insta, Twitter, Vine, or other app that I use as my only source of interaction with other humans for an entire hour. (insert string of sad emojis).
  5. All of them are pretty rough looking that I'd be embarrassed to put those out as The Post.
  6. Not entirely uniform related, but Leonard Fournette appears to be wearing his LSU shoulder pads in today's game. I don't have a picture, but the edge of the pads has been hanging out of shoulder cap and its purple and gold which stands out against the Jags colors.
  7. San Jose Sharks Alternate Concepts

I like what you've done here! There balance of teal and black is solid. I think my issue with the Sharks black jerseys has always been its felt like a departure from their home and away. I don't think you necessarily need to recolor the regular jerseys for a 3rd, but at least make it feel like part of the same set. The sharks have never accomplished that. PS Nice work on the Barracuda jersey, very sharp. BTW Your SJSU jersey is still one of the best club jerseys I've ever seen.
  8. 2017-18 CHL Logos/Jerseys

That's fair, but even still, I'd expect a better sew job. I worked minor league hockey for a few years and worked with some awesome equipment managers who even when things had to be changed last second, still had the attention to detail to sew a patch the same way they would if they'd been given weeks. Semi-related but one of the cooler things I saw was we ordered nameplates for guys on the roster and had extras in case we needed to re-crest a new jersey should one be not repairable, etc. Our coach/gm was known to trade players at the drop of a hat and a couple of times we'd get new guys and not have a nameplate for them yet, so our equipment guys would cut existing nameplates and patch work them together to make the correct name until the real plate arrived.
  9. 2017-18 CHL Logos/Jerseys

My sewing skills are pretty bad, but this is the worst job I've ever seen on a jersey.
  10. 2018 Winter Olympics Hockey Uniforms

This is fantastic! Do we still do post of the day around here, if so, we have a winner! As for the jerseys, the US especially, seem to draw from a lot of the colors and styles seen in the Nike Soccer USA catalog recently with the multiple blues and gradient type of look.
  11. Las Vegas Lights FC (USL) unveil logo

I was thinking the same thing when looking at the info sheet. "Hey, that looks like the back of my old hp printer cartridge!" I think it works great for them.
  12. Washington State Cougars Logo

I agree, I think that is my favorite out of the four options. I think the WSU logo is so iconic it's hard to imagine it being replaced. All four of these kind of have a Oregon State vibe to them, which isn't a bad thing, I just don't think it's a Wazzu thing. When I was a kid, I couldn't see the cougar head, but rather saw a snail with the W as the shell, S as the snail body and U making the mouth.
  13. Portland Trail Blazers new logo

Yeah, I was going to say, I haven't seen them on the benches either. I like them for the winter for around town but don't see them getting too much action on the bench. I feel like that's been Nike's MO recently with the slim fit sizes. Either that or I've been lying to myself that I'm still a men's Large and not XL!
  14. Names below the number

That was the example I was thinking of. I think all things considered, it fit that style jersey perfectly.
  15. NFL “Gridiron Gals” Logos (27/32)

Really wasn't sure what to expect for this concept series, but this is awesome! Very solid work. Excited to see what you have in store for Seattle and seeing lots of these, makes me jealous the Seahawks don't have some very retro alternate marks along the lines of the Colts, Packers, etc. I love those style and how you've updated them to be modern yet vintage feeling at the same time.
  16. College Football Uniforms - 2017 Season

The W is hard to see with the gold outline and what looks to be matte black fill. Do I hate them, no, but I wish we stayed traditional. They also need traditional stripes. If we are going to have a purple option, I think a satin purple, like the Vikings, would be a good option for us. The gold helmet was satin when these uniforms were debuted but changed back to the old gold color last year.
  17. Man, the profile on that mask i huge! I definitely miss those but forgot how large they really were. Kinda looks like Quagmire from Family Guy.
  18. College Football Uniforms - 2017 Season

I think my favorite part of this is the little bubble pointing to the different articles of clothing. Like we weren't sure what they are. "This thing here, that's a helmet, in case you were wondering." Yes, I get that the jersey, helmet, and pants are in grey bubbles and the gloves in blue which represent the base color of that item, but it's done on such a small level it feels totally unnecessary.
  19. Football Fields with Baseball Diamonds

I used to work for the Raiders in a small capacity but I learned that they did have two configurations for football prior to the Raiders moving to LA and ultimately coming back when Mt. Davis was built. The field ran from home plate to center field during the A's season and then 1st to 3rd once the A's were done. Season ticket holders had two different seat locations based on the the configuration to try and get them similar angles. Not entirely related, but because of the shared stadium in the 2013 season, the A's potential playoff schedule almost caused a lot of trouble for a Raiders/Chargers game early in the season. There were talks of moving the Raiders game from Sunday afternoon to be a regional Monday Night game or even switching home games with the Chargers that season but ultimately they A's schedule allowed just enough time for both games to go on as planned.
  20. Portland Trail Blazers new logo

The swoosh on that jacket should be bigger..... I'm intrigued to see these in person. These look like Nike Therma Shpere Max hoodies which are way to warm to wear on the sideline or during shoot around.
  21. Alternate Uniforms Worn Once Or Twice

I believe the Angels had two as well. A red one which is more easily found as well as a navy blue one. My guess is the red was worn at home.
  22. NFL 2017 changes?

I know I've said this before, but I wish they would scrap the monochrome look altogether. I wish white and grey jerseys pants had the same green accents the navy's do for consistency, but they would look great going: Home: Blue over Grey Away: White over navy or grey Alt: Grey over blue. It looks so sharp, wish they would try it.
  23. Unused Logos and Uniforms

I'm not totally convinced that's a prototype. I could be 100% wrong, but my gut tells me it's not. First, when I saw this, this reminded me of some of the early China knockoff jersey styles. You could get Oilers, Flames, Blackhawks, and others on this template that were all fake if my memory serves and i feel like this was one you could get. They used air knit type material too. This jersey is also a CCM branded jersey, which could very well be how they handled prototypes, but at the time, KOHO was the branding on the 3rd/dark jerseys. By the tagging, its a replica, which should have additional branding on the right sleeve as well as an NHL puck logo embroidered on the right rear hem. Speaking of the hem, the hem looks to only be an inch or so. Back in the day, those were closer to 3" if I recall correctly. Finally, from the picture the tagging in the neck is sewn with 4 diagonal lines, when replicas had the tag sewn in vertically on either side. Again, I could be wrong but my initial instinct is this is either a fake or a fan creation and the branding was added on.
  24. MLB Changes 2017

Apparently picture day wasn't a sell out... (Yes, I know that's just a game shot behind his head shot)
  25. Your Ideal MLB Ballpark Outfield

I do not know where I found this or who made it, but thought it fit in with this thread very nicely. It's a couple of years old but I think it's fascinating.
