  1. 2017 NFL Season

If it wasn't for the fact that it would put money in Dean's pocket, I would buy a Younghoe Koo jersey right now.
  2. Unused Logos and Uniforms

This is apparently a prototype road jersey for the Yankees: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Authentic-New-York-Yankees-Jersey-Prototype-Auth-Rare-Russell-Throwback-Retro-44-/202057342774?hash=item2f0b8e5f36:g:3O8AAOSwfrxZvaLs
  3. NBA Changes 2017-18

They're way off on the NOB font, which is weird, because the number font is accurate.
  4. NBA Changes 2017-18

Also, that Sixers script is horrible! It looks like a font you'd use for a wedding invitation.
  5. NBA Changes 2017-18

That Nuggets design could work if the mountains/skyline were navy or even powder blue instead of white. I do like Utah's alternate. Very clever use of the J-note logo.
  6. Los Angeles Clippers New Uniforms

Meh. It's not terrible, but if they really needed to have the "LAC" logo on the front of a jersey, the way it was laid out on the old red jerseys was much better than this. The layout on the new alternate doesn't work as well, especially with single-digit numbers, because of all the empty space on either side of the logo.
  7. 2017 NFL Season

That blocked kick was classic Chargers. Earth to Deano: San Diego was never the reason that your team sucks. You are.
  8. 2017 NFL Season

My team didn't even come close to sniffing a championship in my lifetime - no, they didn't really have a chance in 1994. Then after more than a half-century of awful football, the team was moved to a city that didn't want them by its greedy douchebag owner. So I think I can be forgiven for rolling my eyes at the raging entitlement complex of Patriots fans who have witnessed one of the greatest dynasties in sports history. Coming off a Super Bowl win, the proper response to a September loss is to sit down and shut up... period!
  9. NCAA Basketball 2017-18 New Uniforms

Also, Adidas had already fixed the waistband striping at some point. I'm glad Under Armour finally made the collar/armhole trim match everything else, too. I still wish they'd have brought back the old UCLA number font and standardized that and the script across all sports - like UCLA hoops used to use on their alternates:
  10. NHL 2017-18

Wow, it looks even worse on an actual player.
  11. College Football Uniforms - 2017 Season

Gotta say, Wazzu's uniforms are very disappointing. If they wanted a classic look, they already had several good options to throw back to: What they're wearing now looks like practice gear.
  12. To Split A Script...starring the Toronto Blue Jays

This is a cool idea, but I think you need to pick one layout for the scripts (either angled or straight across with the logo on the front) and stick with it. I would also suggest using the full team name on the home jerseys instead of shortening it to "Jays."
  13. MLB Changes 2017

The steroid bird had already been used on batting practice gear for a couple years before it became the primary, so it wasn't quite a one-year-only deal.
  14. College Football Uniforms - 2017 Season

While it's true that not everyone has done it that way, full shoulder loops have been done before: Now, admittedly, those Panthers and Georgia Tech uniforms use a more modern take on the idea, but the point still stands. To me, it just looks better when shoulder loops actually loop.
  15. College Football Uniforms - 2017 Season

Tennessee/Georgia Tech is a great uniform matchup.
  16. College Football Uniforms - 2017 Season

Even these are lazy, though still a huge improvement over how Adidas used to mangle their stripes. Other than pure laziness, there is no reason why Nike, Adidas and UA can't design a template that allows shoulder stripes to wrap all the way around under the arm.
  17. College Football Uniforms - 2017 Season

The jerseys look nice, but they really needed blue pants to go with them.
  18. The Rockets' Association and Icon uniforms are a fresh new take on their classic uniforms from the Hakeem era. Their community-inspired alternate features the "Clutch City" nickname across the front instead of the team or city name. Their athlete-inspired alternate is an updated version of their black "Space City" alternate uniform from last season. The Heat's Association and Icon uniforms are inspired by their "Legacy" alternate uniform from the past couple seasons, albeit with a new typeface and color scheme that better suits Miami. The community-inspired alternate pays tribute to South Beach, where LeBron famously decided to "take his talents to" in 2010. The athlete-inspired alternate is a modernized take on the Floridians of the ABA, whom the Heat have thrown back to multiple times.
  19. Lights Out's NBA 2017: What-If? Dallas Express (p. 4)

@McCarthy's Swamp Dragons concept inspired me to do a What-If concept of my own, so here goes... In 1978, when the Buffalo Braves were looking to relocate, San Diego was not actually the early favorite to get the team - Dallas was. In fact, the relocation to Dallas was so close that then-general manager Norm Sonju went as far as announcing what the Braves' new name in Dallas would be: the Express. Of course, we know how history turned out. The Braves moved to San Diego and became the Clippers. Instead of moving with the team, Sonju left the Clippers and, together with Don Carter, started the process of establishing the Dallas Mavericks. But what if the Braves did, in fact, move to Dallas? Here's my attempt to envision what they'd look like today, complete with a Cowboys-inspired color scheme, a Texas flag-inspired alternate, and a logo borrowed from the Round Rock Express.
  20. College Football Uniforms - 2017 Season

Unsurprisingly, Boise State is going all blue on the Blue. As it should be.
  21. College Football Uniforms - 2017 Season

Best in the country? Not as long as Adidas keeps ruining their look with that hideous stretchy fabric and tire tracks.
  22. NBA Changes 2017-18

It's better than the horrible baseline wordmarks we used to have, complete with stray "pool noodles" on either side that looked like scratches in the paint job. With that said, I miss the blue filled-in half-circles. Now there isn't enough blue on the court.
  23. MLB Changes 2017

I still think the Graphite Jays were a tragic case of a great identity ruined by the team making every terrible choice imaginable - from the shortened team name to the ugly Crillee number font to the emphasis on black and grey over blue. That shade of blue looked incredible in person, and they underutilized it for no reason.
  24. College Football Uniforms - 2017 Season

    Double post.
