  1. Georgia Tech Adidas Concept

No gray jerseys here- if you’re referring to the white jersey, that’s just Adidas’ template. The honeycomb pattern is in the stripes if you look closely, but I didn’t want to overdo it (which they have in the past)
  2. Georgia Tech Adidas Concept

You might have heard that Georgia Tech, one of the last remaining college football teams outfitted by Russell Athletic, will be switching to Adidas next season. This has a potential to be a great thing for the Yellow Jackets' football uniforms, which have been Russell-ified for the past decade or so. The best of their uniforms throughout program history feature double stripes on the sleeve, so I based this concept on those. Adidas usually does good with classic looks like that, so I have hope for GT's uniforms under Adidas as long as they stick to something like this. All of the jerseys and pants feature a double stripe with contrasting colors; there are white, navy, and gold versions of both jerseys and pants. In addition to the gold helmet, I kept the white honeycomb helmets (but removed the middle stripe); I really like the honeycomb helmets, which is probably an unpopular opinion around here. With or without honeycomb, I think that GT should always have a white helmet to wear as an alternate. You might notice that a second white jersey is paired with the white helmet; I thought it would be Adidas-like to push gold numbers for a "whiteout" look.
  3. College Football Uniforms - 2017 Season

Posted about this earlier when the replica jerseys went for sale, but it's now been confirmed by the equipment staff: new maroon jerseys for Mississippi State in 2017.
  4. College Football Uniforms - 2017 Season

They still have the glossy black helmet; wore it more than the pictured matte last season.
  5. College Football Uniforms - 2017 Season

Really bad move by Florida. They might as well change the white jersey and pants striping to orange-(space)-blue-(space)-orange. Would be more consistent at this point. Of course ideally they just need to go blue-white-blue on the orange jersey and pants and leave it at that.
  6. College Football Uniforms - 2017 Season

Wow. This is one of the biggest downgrades in a while, which feels like a hyperbole but I can't think of a worse case.
  7. College Football Uniforms - 2017 Season

A replica jersey listing seems to confirm that Mississippi State will be making an expected change to their home jersey to make it more consistent with the rest of the set. There's a black jersey listed as well; the November 4th game vs UMass is listed as a "blackout" so I expect that black jerseys will be worn for that game. This could be them, but I'm skeptical since it matches the 2015 striping pattern rather than the 2017 one.
  8. College Football Uniforms - 2017 Season

    Downgrade. Longer stripes were better.
  9. NBA Changes 2017-18

I like the logos, but given that the team will actually be playing in Southaven, Mississippi, I think the team name should've been either "Southaven Hustle" or "Mississippi Hustle." Go with "Mississippi Hustle" and you can keep the logo with the M and the ball.

USM will also wear 1997 throwbacks this fall:
  11. College Football Uniforms - 2017 Season

Southern Miss has new gold jerseys for the 2017 season. Much better than their last attempt in 2013 and 2014. These are consistent with their current black and white jerseys that they've had since 2015. Their current set is decent, but the black on black numbers at home really dilute the look. The tweet also hints at gold pants; they've mostly worn black pants the past two seasons, but they did wear white pants twice late last season, once with a matte helmet.
  12. 2017 SEC Baseball Concepts

It's been a couple of years since I've done a college baseball concept series, so I started on these about a couple months ago. I finished the SEC West today so I figured I'd go ahead and post them. Basically I'm just doing a few tweaks and changes here and there; college baseball uniforms as a whole have been really good this year. Pants and hats are for the most part interchangeable in all concepts. For reference, my previous attempts at college baseball concepts: 2014 NCAA Baseball Concepts 2015 SEC Baseball Concepts The first team I did was Mississippi State, because bias. I completed and posted my Mississippi State "master plan" concept early last month. The full post can be seen here: Basically, my Mississippi State concept contains 11 different jerseys; they would theoretically go in and out of rotation and 5 or 6 would be worn each year. Next is Alabama. For the Crimson Tide, I went with two jerseys for each color (white, gray, crimson). I think pinstripes would work for Alabama; I gave them both white and gray versions. On the white jerseys, I went with a cursive "Crimson Tide" script. I used the official block "Alabama" on gray and crimson jerseys. A second crimson jersey has the "A" logo. Arkansas already has some really good uniforms. I removed the side panels, added a sleeve patch, added a second red jersey, and brought back the Sunday cream jersey. Otherwise, Arkansas is already good. Auburn has some awesome cream throwbacks, so I wanted to expand on those a bit. I added a navy hat with an orange AU (to be used with the cream and gray uniforms) and retained both current hats. The "Auburn" script is on the cream, gray, orange, and alternate navy uniforms. The other jerseys (white, pinstripe, primary navy) have the "AU" logo. Copperplate has been eliminated throughout the set; block numbers are used on every jersey. Like Arkansas and Mississippi State, LSU already has some of the best baseball uniforms in college baseball. I added a tiger logo patch to the sleeve, piping to the pants and sleeves, and added a double outline to the numbers on the purple jersey. That's it. The biggest change I made with Ole Miss is switch to the alternate "UM" logo full time. I think it's a better and more unique logo than the block "M"; Ole Miss should seriously start implementing it throughout their athletic identity. I also updated the "Rebels" script and added a faux-back pinstripe (somewhat based on these) set using the alternate "Ole Miss" script also used on the powder blue uniforms. B/W/R piping is used throughout the uniforms. For Texas A&M, I brought back the "Texas Aggies" script on the primary white and gray jerseys. Bevels are gone!! Alternate hat with white front panel and state outline logo is back. Hope to finish the East sometime soon.
  13. 2017 NFL Concepts

Green Bay's home look is perfect. No changes needed there at all. Their road jerseys are nice, too; my only problem is that the striping allows white and gold to touch. So for this concept, the striping on the road jerseys is reverted to the classic green-gold-green-gold-green. The color rush jerseys are based on the 1953 uniform set, which used a Kelly green and athletic gold color palette.
  14. 2017 NFL Concepts

I noticed that when I was uploading it, and I realize what happened: the red helmet looked too bright originally so I darkened it a bit for my mockup. Forgot to change back to the regular red for the rest of the concept. That being said, I'll leave it because I think it kind of works for Atlanta. Differentiates them from other red teams in the league.
  15. 2017 NFL Concepts

With the Falcons moving into a new stadium next year, It'd make sense for them to update their look for the move. They do need an upgrade; the early 2000s piping looks really dated. In this concept, I used a slightly modified version of their current logo, removing the silver outline and slightly thinning it. The primary helmets are red; black helmets are retained in the "what if no one helmet rule" part. For the most part, the concept is in the style of the Falcons' older uniforms, with one major exception: Falcon wings are added to the sleeve caps. This idea was inspired by the wing design in the new stadium.
