  1. With the Padres, I'd like them to go back to Navy and Orange. Modernize that look, and I think you're all good. The Brown looks are cool as a throwback, but wearing them 162 times a year will get tiresome.
  2. Good riddance, indeed. The Red version is a million times better than the blue version.
  3. There's no point in having an outdoor game in a domed stadium.
  4. My favorite team now only 20 minutes away from me? Sounds good to me!
  5. Wait a minute, is that for ANY ticket at the ACC? As in, $150 even for something in the nosebleeds? God does Toronto have some ridiculous ticket inflation. It depends on the game. On Stubhub, some Leafs games start at around $50, while others start at $150. The next Leafs-Habs game at the ACC starts at $230 (and that's just standing room only, if you want a seat, it's at least $300).
  6. I've seen worse. They used to have a thing where you get 2 free tickets when you buy a $20 bottle of Absolute or Stoli or something from Fry's (a local grocery store).
  7. I'm interested to see how much money they're making off of parking. They made a huge deal about it being this untapped revenue source. I'm interested in seeing how well they're doing on that front.Fun Fact: I parked in a non-game-designated lot right up front at Westgate for the Ducks game. Free of charge. Unless you just blindly follow the signs, there's nothing forcing you to the game lots. Yeah, I went to a Coyotes - Kings game earlier this year, and I just parked over by the Johnny Rocket's in a free parking lot (I believe Lot J). It was still a shorter walk than the walk I take to get from my car to the Honda Center when I go to Ducks games.
  8. Oh, they'll be in the current Ducks colors/style. I have no doubt. But it'd be nice if there was some way to note that Teemu and Jiggy were both Mighty Ducks as well and had huge contributions in their Mighty years. Maybe split it down the middle or something? Half eggplant-teal/half black-gold-orange? That might look cheesy, but I think it'd be nice. Neidermayer was a Mighty Duck too for a short period, but since it was just the one year, it'd be weird if they gave him the Mighty treatment as well. Like this? (Obviously, I'd hope they'd do a better job of matching it up, but whatever. My rough concept.) I don't like that at all. Just use the current idenity. I also hope the retired numbers are on the other side of the Pond, but I wouldn't mind if they did it the way the Kings did it. That works too, but they'll have to move all the current banners over a bit.
  9. Even if they don't win anything this year, they'll probably raise a banner for #8 next year. I'm very curious to see what they do with that.
  10. I wish they were a bit more creative with the Stanley Cup Banner. Even though it's a different color, it's pretty much the same as the other banners. I like what Chicago does, and I wish they had something more like that. At the very least, I'd like them to organize their banners in some way that's not completely stupid.
  11. I don't think BC Place would work for baseball. They'd have to remove the big scoreboard hanging from the ceiling, and they would have to reconfigure the seating, and it will just be weird. If Vancouver ever wanted an MLB team, they'd have to build a stadium.
  12. I think the Presidents Trophy banner should stay, but they should get rid of the Regular Season Championship banner. Speaking of that, how many teams do the "Regular Season Champions" banner? I can only think of San Jose, Detroit, and Washington.
  13. Famersonly.com may just be the most pathetic dating site known to man.
  14. Theoretical question: Is it okay to buy a counterfeit jersey if you plan on burning it?
  15. Largely true, and the local talent that wants to stay in the New England area typically winds up at BC, Syracuse or maybe Rutgers. Syracuse and Rutgers aren't in New England.
  16. Maybe you're missing a black script jersey from your life? I loved those black jerseys, and I'm sad to see them gone. Replace the "Dallas" with a crest logo, and put some green in the arm stripes, and it's a decent third.
  17. The only teams that would work for are ones who are matched with a very light jersey. It looks good there because both the Jays and Royals are wearing powder blue. Maybe. I also liked the all-maroon Phillies look (probably wouldn't work with their current red), and the Pirates Yellow jersey/black pants look. And if the Padres go back to Brown and Yellow, I think a yellow jersey/pants with brown sleeve combo could be pretty cool.
  18. The Sharks need to come up with a new logo that's kind of in-between those logos. The original logo is too bland (practically no teal, etc.), and the newer one is too cartoony (and both sticks are very poorly executed). I think some MLB teams should bring back colored pants. Some of those all color uniforms from the 70's and 80's were pretty cool in my opinion (especially some of the light blue ones worn by the Royals, Cardinals, Jays, etc.) (yes, I know that's Roy Halladay in a throwback)
  19. While I have my share of bad posts, you really need to slow down, guy. Post less, read more.
  20. Those two cities might not be vital, but I belive having some sort of presence in the south and west coast is vital for the future of the NHL. There's also no reason to move Nashville or Carolina, because they're doing fine.
  21. The names are pointless, really.Anyway, Kev, good work, but shouldn't Nashville move somewhere? Really, the only teams that should/could be moved are Phoenix and Florida. Nashville has a pretty good following and they're doing much better financially than they were in 2007. Also, you have to remember to be patient with the Nashville's, Carolina's, etc., because it takes more than 10-15 years for a fanbase to start resembling the fanbases to the north (in size). You just can't start moving every "southern" team up north just because they didn't get 400 straight sell-outs out of the gate like Minnesota did. No, it takes time for these teams in non-traditional markets to grow, and you have to be patient. These southern markets are pretty vital for the future of the league and the growth of the game.... So stop moving all of these teams around when you obviously have little knowledge about their markets and financial situations.
