  1. The Ringer’s over-coverage of the NBA is a shame because it overshadows their underrated baseball coverage. They do a better job than anyone of blending the stat-heavy (which I love) and the more journalistic-y stuff that gets the wider audiences.
  2. The only Ringer stuff I can consume is their MLB podcast and articles, and that’s mostly just cause I’m a big fan of Ben Lindbergh.
  3. The [wind noise] at the bottom really makes this.
  4. The inning before that, he became the first to ever lose a perfect game on an error in the ninth inning.
  5. My mental image of Dubnyk is still being absolutely terrible in an Oilers uniform. This new Minnesota guy isn't Devan Dubnyk, as far as I'm concerned.
  6. I've only watched one inning of the Cards-Sox game he's doing but I think he's a good addition to the booth, at any rate.
  7. It took me an embarrassingly long time to understand that it didn't mean a player's 5th season of hockey.
  8. I mean, looking at the guy, does it really come as a surprise?
  9. In fact I'm pretty sure he had a negative WPA in the playoffs, so he helped them lose more than he helped them win.
  10. That is an absolutely massive logo.
  11. Yes but it's the best city name in the country, so you got that going for you.
  12. Speaking of Oilers... Ryan Smyth in Colorado, Los Angeles and New York is so wrong.
  13. Claw-ball rules, I love the Raptors current identity. But Huskies would be a much better identity.
  14. Miguel Cabrera has never had less than 103 RBI in a full season, and only twice had an average below .300.
  15. Rougarou would have been a fantastic name. Or they could've just kept Zephyrs, y'know.
  16. I usually don't like minor league teams taking too much after their major league affiliates, but I love that OKC Dodgers hat.
  17. Yeah I used to love these jerseys but they really don't work. The Stars look better now than they ever have (excluding the North Stars).
  18. This isn't an argument against the name, but the Red Sox seem to have their own Killer B's developing in Bogaerts, Betts, Bradley and Benintendi.
