  1. Wow. That looks horrible.
  2. Sixers, Bucks, Cavs, Clippers, Hawks, Nets, Nuggets, and Bullets were all pretty bad, though i suppose all acceptable except the Sixers. If the Sixers, Bucks, Hawks, Nuggets and Bullets/Wizards still had their 80's looks for that season, and Cavs+Nets in their 70's look, it would have been perfect. I'd take that look today with some rebrands for the Clippers, Thunder, Raptors, Grizzlies and scrap New Orleans and bring back the 90s Sonics. That's probably my ideal NBA. I'd let the Kings get an update, but i actually really like those 90s Mitch Richmond Kings pre Webber brand.
  3. It's going to be odd, but i can really see the Rockets wearing their black unis nearly every home and away game. There's not too many uniforms it won't contrast with at away games and i'm sure it's Harden and the players favorite jersey so it will be the fave to wear at home and no one to stop them from wearing it every single home game.
  4. Send in your concepts to the Rockets!
  5. The shorts cut looks so odd to the side like that. The grey arm sleeve outline looks off as well, would have been better to just remove it and keep just the cut off side panel. The wordmark looks bolder, but unfortunately the generic number font looks unchanged. Logo on the front of the shorts is new i think? Yeah, i don't see that lasting beyond this season. Full rebrand incoming with the eventual new ownership.
  6. So nothing's stopping the Warriors from choosing yellow as their home/association jersey from now on? They wanted to some years back, and the NBA wouldn't allow them to IIRC and now they're free to do as they please.
  7. Leslie Alexander has put the Rockets up for sale. Scared it will be a horrible new owner, but excited for a rebrand!
  8. Why are they making all the blues darker(Mavs too)?
  9. So are all the teams confirmed for changes? The Rockets will not be doing anything AT ALL? Not even anything small?
  10. I really dig it, except of course i will always think it's better with a touch of yellow/gold! I actually think it does enough to differentiate itself from Toronto or Chicago though. Would love to see a template layout of all 3 so we can give better criticism on front and back, but those are definitely beautiful and some of my favorites I've seen in quite a while!
  11. Modernized with a less cartoony/more realism look would get an approval from me(especially with the same court concept having the rocket launch at center court but obviously more realistic). It would also help keep the city brand closely resembled with the Texans and not too far from the Astros brand or even Dynamo as blue would be the predominant color and we are a blue collar city. A dark blue also makes sense for putting stars and space related things into the brand(still don't count out black since it kind of at least makes sense for a space themed team). I've been adamant about only wanting the red and yellow classic look for a rebrand, but i've given in and realize there are so many teens and early to mid 20's people who just don't recognize that as the Houston Rockets at all even though it was the Rockets look for 25 years of their existence and back to back championship glory. Leslie Alexander bought the team and immediately wanted to change the brand to make it his own. Apparently the Rockets asked for a re-brand before they won the championship in 1994 and by the time they won, Les tried to keep it, but the NBA didn't allow it. Anyway, that's what i've read somewhere. BUT, he's had so long to go back to that look and we never wear retro uniforms and barely had 2 hideous alternates that were red and yellow since 1995. I don't think Les likes the color scheme and never did. That's why i accept a red and blue modernized version of the late 90s with a red and yellow alternate being worn here and there. I lived the days of Clutch City, but those days are long gone. It's time to make new history for these younger fans out there and the current brand has been 15 years of disappointment/heart break/underachievement. Were long overdue for a complete rebrand.
  12. Just feels good to have 1 up on Dallas. .....and 2 on Utah.
  13. FIFY
  14. Over the Rockets current brand? I'm sure everyone in Dallas is now in the same boat that mid 90s Rockets fans were in. Just leave the championship winning identity alone. Tweaking is fine, but total rebrand after winning a title is never good.
  15. Wow. I had no idea about this new Spurs logo. Yours is way better, but yes i would make the white silver and you can keep the outer line white.
