I saw some rumor tweets that Le Moyne might be heading to D-I as a full member (not just baseball), and might eventually join either the MAAC or the Northeast (NEC). And might wait to see if it's true or not that UIndy is planning to move upto D-I (and eventually joining the OVC) or rather stay in D-II.

D1 New Orleans is strongly considering adding football and would build a new privately funded stadium on the NOLA waterfront to host such a team if a November student fee increase referendum passes.
Privateer football could kick off as soon as 2025, and would play in the FCS Southland (with UNO's other sports teams)
That would be a definite boost for the conference, but even with that, they could still potentially add an extra pair of schools (with or without football alike, as long as their current core group of members still have access to compete in the FCS playoffs; which is something the WAC would need to figure out once they lose New Mexico St. and Sam Houston St. after this season ends, plus losing Lamar back to the SLC so quickly and UIW chose to remain in the SLC instead of going to the WAC).

IMHO, the Big East should look at Loyola of Chicago, St. Louis and Dayton if they want 14.
It would be a win-win for both sides. The Big East adds in schools that are focused on basketball, adding in schools that would help out for Creighton and it would alleviate the bloat that the Atlantic 10 is going through right now.
I believe that Loyola (Ill.) would be an excellent choice too, to be quite honest.

TBH, I didn't even know Dayton still had a football program until the Chargers hired Brandon Staley as their head coach.
To be fair, Dayton does have football for a while, but in the non-scholarship PFL, alongside Butler. Besides the Big East of today doesn't sponsor football as a conference sport (hence Villanova plays in the CAA, Georgetown in the Patriot and UConn as an FBS indy). Obviously I also mentioned them as a possible candidate (like Saint Louis) for expansion should the Big East plan to go for 14 instead of 12.

I wonder if the Big East is being methodical about things when it comes to conference realignment. As of, like waiting patiently to make their move to have a 12th member (whether it would be Dayton or Saint Louis) to finally solidify that west divisional branch), and if it wants to, it would go for 14 by taking Dayton and another east coast-based school with recent success in some sports (with basketball being the primary focus).
On a sidenote, I didn't know that according to the D-II moving up ladder that involved that schools from the GLVC would move to the G-MAC, as in the last few years that their new members came from the Michigan-based GLIAC; that's if UIndy remains committed to D-II over D-I.

Does it also include other college athletics associations lower than the NCAA D-I (FBS, FCS or non-football alike)? If so, thanks.

I know this is pointless, but where can I find a sub-forum or a sub-topic that can be talked about conference realignment (whether the 3 divisions in the NCAA, the NAIA, the NJCAA, the NCCAA, the USCAA, etc.)? It's all I ask. Please and thanks in advance.

I don't mind the slogans in place, just as long as some folks don't make a fuss about it. Generally speaking, the point is that we all must get along to watch and enjoy a game we all love.

Love this variation too. But one small tweak request. Substitute or replace the facemasks (putting the modern or present ones instead of the old school bar ones). Other than that, it should had come close to it on the real thing, endzone-wise.

Unfortunatly, yes. Not sure why they would go with white. It's an odd choice.
Not only it's odd, it's lame as heck. I guess the "B" logo will have white strips with black stripes. As if it mirrors the weird color rush jersey they had.

Bengals have chosen black jerseys with white pants for the Super Bowl, so Rams may wear all white.
Or it could be even white jerseys over blue pants or yellow pants. Although I'm not a fan of all-whites personally.

I'm curious to see how the Rams endzone would look like with their wordmark font from their 1st Super Bowl title win (I know it's back when it was in St. Louis and not in LA) but with the current LA Rams helmet logo and common facemask. Which was also the last time the Rams had yellow (or athletic gold) and blue as their colors before switching to metallic gold and dark midnight/navy blue.

Wishhhh we could somehow unlock and revive this topic. Was nice to throw out ideas and take a look at all the "what-ifs"
Agreed absolutely 1000%. And that thread or sub-forum is the reason that many people can have dream SB fields, which is part of the fun.

Yeah, that's right. I hadn't seen one of those fields with specific team colors on the lines on any line mark in a Super Bowl in ages. It must have been a while.
P.S.: I like the helmet facemasks on those endzones for that SB. lol

It would be epic to see a modified version of SB XXXVIII or SB XXXIX for this Super Bowl, but with the now-knowing participants for SB LVI. Plus love the other variations, including the one the Rams had the LA logo with the ram horns. On a sidenote, the Bengals have won more than one playoff game during this amazing run, more than they had in their higher previous playoff appearance attempts. Last time they won more than one playoff game was on their last Super Bowl run in early '89 (the '88 season). Talk about a Cinderella story for a low level division champion.

To be honest, I actually think it's the helmet's from Super Bowls XXXII through XXXVII that were placed at the 30 yard lines (see below, as I used the same style). Any modern helmets in 2D form look a little clunky to me, but maybe that's because I haven't seen a good version done in 2D for a field. I like the way Bill has the current helmet template done on the GUD, but for a field, I think the facemasks would need less detail. Maybe I'll try to come up with something more field friendly there and try that out.
Although we can agree to disagree on certain points or opinions, we can agree to the fact that certain details need to be done (in terms of context). For me, its the SB XXX one on the endzone areas (not necessarily within the 100 yard grass field) whose helmets were on the endzones, although it was based on the old school SB's due to the classic single-bar facemask in terms of size and it couldn't adjust properly the common facemask within, which looked vertically condensed in a certain way; which was fixed later on for SB's XXXVIII and XXXIX, although only one helmet was shown on the left side of the endzone, the wordmark in the middle and the conference logo on the right side, which I'm fine with it.
-
I know this is a weird or unpopular debate kind of talk, but which type of facemasks on the helmets do you like or prefer on custom field endzone wordmark areas? The single basic old school bars from the 1st Super Bowls, the common basic arch ones (either 2D or 3D view alike), or the current ones based on today's helmets?
-
Those look dope. But imagine the Bengals end zone but the colors reversed (orange background and black text), with or without the white trim alike.

The Giants' numbers and NOB is based on an extended and condensed ITC Machine, if that's what you mean.
Makes fair sense to me, so thank you. However, I just wish that font would be a separate font for common use aside from being a separate custom font with a property name (in this case a sports team).

Yeah, but still. That's the already custom font-based setted font. I was asking if there was any font SIMILAR to those numbers.

That's not helpful enough. I meant if there's a non-commercial font that closer to the design of the SF Giants' number font style.

Which font is closer to the SF Giants' number font on their jerseys?
a.)
b.)

Thanks. I don't know if you caught this but I put the top part of the conference championship game logos instead of just the conference logos because if you think about it. They are the conference champions so it would make sense. Also Seattle did that in Super Bowl XL not L (They did take one that game )
No prob. And the conference championship game logos look sleeker to be honest. About the L part, I botched on my typing, which I later minor-edited my fix.
Division 1 College Conference Realignment

Which we all will look forward to it after tonight. And depending on how the outcome might be, I wonder if it will help the momentum for the OVC to re-gain back to the 12-member school threshold (with 7 or 8 of them having football) in the future.
And that might mean that the Big South might need to find another conference to form a partnership (or have some of their non-football schools to add the sport to possibly save it as a conference-sponsored sport.
Also, we still don't know yet if the A-Sun and the WAC are just letting this slide and being okay or making it acceptable to have the 'MVFC' gimmick (a.k.a. the 2-conference partnership for football for just one automatic bid with little chance of error for an at-large bid) instead of trying to be 2 separate conferences with 2 different champions by just finding any expansion candidates in a few years to a decade.
