  1. UA - MLB Deal Delayed Until 2020

First attempt at posting a picture from my phone... Here’s a sneak peak using Auburn of what the Yankees will look like in 2020. We might also learn if an internet message board can burn.
  2. Jackie Robinson Day 2018: New Patches and Everyone is #42

I like the 42 logo, but would prefer one featuring Jackie Robinson or his signature like the 50th anniversary logo and then use that logo every season. I’ve come to accept every player wearing 42 on April 15th, but the jersey and cap patches scream corporate greed and that’s wrong.
  3. Atlanta Braves Honour Memory of MLK Jr. With Jersey Patch

I completely agree that this is an odd thing to celebrate on a uniform. From a societal and historical sense, many people believe that his death, or the fact that he became a martyr for the movement he was championing, did more than he probably would have if he had lived. As white male in his early 30s from the Midwest, I cannot say if that is true.
  4. MLB changes 2018?

Agree to disagree then because I feel the navy cap with the road grays is superior to the red cap and road grays. I agree the alternate Sunday cap is unnecessary. I hated it when it was first introduced, but I’ve come around. Their cream Saturday alt uniform is the worst.
  5. Players in the "wrong" uniforms

So is having D-Backs on the uniform better?
  6. Players in the "wrong" uniforms

The Diamondbacks word mark is underrated IMO
  7. MLB changes 2018?

    The Milwaukee Brewers: “Whaaah?”
  8. MLB changes 2018?

As previously mentioned, only against red capped teams. You’re limited to the Reds, Phillies, and Nats. As a Cards fan, this really ticks me off.
  9. MLB changes 2018?

Yeah, I was backing you up.
  10. MLB changes 2018?

Its been a few years since I lived in DC (2011), but I think it’s unfair to expect Nationals Park to transform Navy Yard into a Gallery Place/Chinatown clone.
  11. MLB changes 2018?

So a simple, perhaps boring name is worse than becoming a corporate billboard? Fenway came from the neighborhood it is in, and Camden Yards is the name of the complex the stadium was built in. I guess they could have named it Navy Yard Park, but as @Gothamite pointed out, there is a precedent for a team named ballpark. I would also add Tiger Stadium to his list.
  12. MLB changes 2018?

In a world where we have Guaranteed Rate Field and Globe Life Park, I appreciate the simplicity of the name Nationals Park.
  13. MLB changes 2018?

The smaller cap logo is an improvement too. Not often you see a team wear a jersey patch that clashes with their look. The teal anniversary patch looks way out of place, but all things considered I can handle it.
  14. MLB Launches Hashtag Emojis for All 30 Teams

The Cardinals and their fans on Twitter adopted #stlcards years ago. Twitter's character limit had a lot to do with that.
  15. Baseball Hall of Fame Retires Chief Wahoo From Plaques

Probably the two likeliest candidates from those 90s teams, but they’re a stretch at best.
  16. Welcome to the 90's

As someone who was born in ‘85, and grew up in the 90s, I wonder how much the Nickelodeon channel influenced the introduction of cartoonish logos.
  17. Baseball Hall of Fame Retires Chief Wahoo From Plaques

Outside of Thome, who has said he did not want Wahoo on his plaque, who could this impact? Manny Ramirez likely won’t make the hall, and if he did he’d likely wear a Red Sox hat. CC Sabathia would probably go as a Yankee. I’m not super knowledgeable in Indians history, but I guess there could be a Veteran’s Committee selection. Everyone else from here on out has ties to the block C. This appears to be an easy call for the HOF unless I’ve missed someone.
  18. Welcome to the 90's

This uniform set might have been my “uniform awakening.” I remember thinking it looked so cool the first time I saw it on a baseball card.
  19. What was the best logo in your team's history?

I've always preferred slugger-bird I like the inclusion of St. Louis on the note, and blue, yellow, white and red are the colors of the city flag. You can't dispute a classic I appreciate that the Bulls haven't changed much. I prefer the logo without the wordmark. Again, simplicity is good
  20. MiLB teams with MLB-caliber identities

IMO this is the standard answer for this topic.
  21. NBA Changes 2017-18

And now I am watching the '96 All-Star Game on YouTube... Despite wearing game specific uniforms, the players used their team's warmup jacket and pants. Made for a nice contrast.
  22. MLB changes 2018?

This is ridiculous. If they can't get the cap right, then they shouldn't do it.
  23. Funniest Sports Logos

    Looks like Sputnik to me.
  24. MLB changes 2018?

Yeah I remember feeling that New Era was trying to fix something that wasn’t broken. That opinion changed as soon as I had to replace my wool Cards cap because it had shrunken down. The poly is the superior product.
  25. MLB changes 2018?

Really? Very interesting. My Cards hat from that series is wool too, so I assumed the switch hadn’t been made yet.
