Anyone know what the story was behind the inconsistent presence of the NFL shield on the jersey collar of both the home and away 49ers jerseys during the 1994 season? Looking back at game photos of specific players, some games the shield was there, some games they weren’t. In the Super Bowl it looks like there was a mix of shield/no-shield jerseys. Super Bowl:

Makes me feel old seeing someone associate the Bulls old center court logo with the D-Rose years instead of the Jordan years.
