  1. I didn’t notice lol! But I see it now, on the badger’s head.
  2. Milwaukee Badgers? It’s time. While looking for old logos I found one that was probably the Badgers logo. I hope it’s real because it’s very advanced for its time. It looks, dare I say, decent by today’s standards.
  3. These are great! I’ve been searching for the logos of old NFL teams to redraw them, and send them to the site. There is one problem with this thread though, which is that “Tawanda” is spelled Tonawanda. It’s a suburb of Buffalo.

MLB: The Defunct Saga - Tampa Bay Pirates Added

Oh boy! This means the last team (up for speculation) is closer. Only one other team and maybe some relocations left.

MLB Concepts (MLB Complete, MiLB Chihuahuas 7/30)

    Please! Bring this thread back.
  6. Alright, let’s assume that the AHL went under after the 1977-78 season, as it almost did in real life. The IHL was doing pretty well for itself, so naturally the AHL would be absorbed. What if the NHL went on strike in 1994 and again in 2005, ripening the IHL into a full-on competitor? Well, here’s that story. Here’s the current IHL logo in 2018: Teams for the 1978-79 Season (logos and jerseys as well as modern interpretations will be edited in in a few days) Yes, they will be higher quality! Fort Wayne Komets Home: Away: Muskegon Mohawks Port Huron Flags Grand Rapids Owls Flint Generals Saginaw Gears Kalamazoo Wings Toledo Goaldiggers Milwaukee Admirals Hershey Bears Rochester Americans Nova Scotia Voyageurs New Haven Nighthawks Springfield Indians Hampton Gulls Binghamton Dusters Maine Mariners Philadelphia Firebirds New Brunswick Hawks *yes, there will be original team names in the future

International Hockey League: The 1977 Story

Unfortunately, I can’t work on this thread right now. I’m having software issues that I will soon resolve. Thanks for the feedback.

International Hockey League: The 1977 Story

Okay, so I can’t work on this at home right now because I have a Mac and have the Paintbrush app and that’s too primitive to use for this, to rotating or anything. I’ll try to get something going soon.

Sorry, been busy. I can work on this now.

The road jersey! Quebec gets a team next (spoiler: it’s the Nordiques)

International Hockey League: The 1977 Story

Here’s the road. I forgot to add the shoulder numbers, but I’ll edit that soon.

International Hockey League: The 1977 Story

Here it is, the Hartford Whalers, who joined the IHL (in name only) when the original team moved to Raleigh. The V represents a harpoon’s tip, and the white outline on the back numbers are there to make them stand out more. This is the home jersey. The away will probably be even cooler.

It will look like one uniform after some tweaks.

International Hockey League: The 1977 Story

    1. I thought the v looks neat 2. In my timeline they joined the IHL in the late 90s 3. I forgot to remove the logo.

International Hockey League: The 1977 Story

Thanks! Would it ruin the uni if I added a light blue wave pattern in the “v”? That was the plan for the finished jersey. Could also be an alt.

It’s incomplete, but here’s what I’ve been working on. ?

International Hockey League: The 1977 Story

Working on some stuff right now. The next of this I’ll post is modern day unis and logos.
  18. Man, I saw these logos on another site and I couldn’t believe my eyes. I also found THE WORST LOGO EVER MADE. Nothing ever proposed can skim the surface of this logo’s scum. No hate tho. This is real. Would you like to see it with a wordmark? COMIC. SANS. The league it’s from has some other duds as well. Woah... WITH wordmark OOFEVEN THIS is a “logo” and its brother... this one’s pretty good Woah. Well, I’ll leave you with the BEST NAME of ANY TEAM EVER... Blind Bubba’s Mellow Thugs.

Thanks, this means a lot. I’ll try some more original designs. Paint should eventually work, so I’ll have more work up hopefully in a while.

International Hockey League: The 1977 Story

Oh, I’m definitely farmiliar with Paint, but I have a Mac. That’s a big obstacle in its own right, but dingus me forgot how to run .exes with Wine. I appreciate this, too. But...two things. Firstly, I am basing the information on the actual 70s unis. If it so be, and everybody would prefer unique designs, I’m totally willing. Secondly, I like really bad, stupid looks. They make me laugh. I unironically enjoy this.

International Hockey League: The 1977 Story

Yep, I tried to get rid of the random marks. I have some better supplies now, so hopefully things will look a lot clearer. As for the coloring inconsistencies, I’ll do some looking into that. Thanks The next best thing is Paintbrush on Mac. In no ways a bad option, but...I have no drawing tablet, so I could draw it with a mouse or use my new supplies.

  24. Alright, I found a website (topendsports.com) where, I assume, the original operator wanted to catalog every sport. Now, they allow users to submit their own sports. And yes, I read every submitted sport article, and by a landslide, the one that caught my eye the most was Fufu. https://www.topendsports.com/sport/new/fufu.htm I’ve said I like Scrimmy Bingus for how spontaneous and goofy it is. For me, Fufu falls into the same category of dumb, random humor. Two British children made this game. Basically, a half-deflated football (aka soccer, not going there) is kicked or carried with the elbows into the one goal. Pretty much anything goes, except for, and I’m paraphrasing, biting, eye gouging, shin kicking, or nut punches. There are 5 penalty cards, each with its own bizarre name and oddly specific warrant. There are 7 periods if play and in overtime, there is no set time limit. Play continues until one of the children cries. They also include that teams are of 4 players, but come on, that’s not enough. And they encourage rule changes. Can anybody else see this, or have I hallucinated it? People I’ve shown it too also agree how weird it is, even Ethan, and he’s shown me all sorts of weird stuff. What are your opinions of Fufu?

    Thanks for the input.
