    NHL 2017-18

Typical NHL. In any other league these would have been all released at the same time.

Agreed. But has Toronto unveiled their away yet? I haven't seen them

Why are you putting giant watermarks over photos that you didn't take??

    NHL 2017-18

I'm not sure if it's any indication of changes to the away jerseys but both the Oilers Twitter and Instagram pages are sporting an orange outline around their logo

    NHL 2017-18

Because this is the same ownership group that dresses the Stampeders. They're stubborn beyond belief and have a terrible sense of style

2016-17 NHL Uniform and Logo Changes

Has anybody else noticed that the logo the Oilers are using on their new website appears to be the lighter 1970s blue?

2016-17 NHL Uniform and Logo Changes

I think the single stripe on the pants makes the hemline stripe make a bit more sense. The fact that they matched the legs and arms is also a nice surprise

    2016 CFL Uniforms

According to B.C. Lions twitter, the orange helmet (white logo) and orange uniform combo is only for preseason. Don't panic football #fashionistas, saving black helmets for fans at @bcplace @CFL

    2016 CFL Uniforms

For those commenting on Hamilton's black pants, they still have gold and white alternates to choose from according to The Spec. I'll miss the stripes but at least the non monochrome option is still there. http://www.thespec.com/sports-story/6552782-ticats-unveil-new-old-look/

    2016 CFL Uniforms

I guess I'll be the only one to say it......with the exception of the tramp stamp I love every part of the Lions new look.

    2016 CFL Uniforms

They appear to use the primary on the helmet in the video

The S would definitely stand out but the majority of the logo would get lost in the background which is why I assume they've always used the silver alternate in the application. Maybe they'll use a white outline.

    2016 CFL Uniforms

I'm wondering what logo Sask goes with now that they've eliminated silver from their logo set. The helmet logo has never been the one above (unless used on the white alternates) that they tweaked but they haven't released any updates on the silver helmet logo changes. Unless they're planning on going with green on green which would look terrible.
  18. The fact that it's closely based on established historic designs is a big plus. No need or excuse for faux vintage with an original six team. I'm probably also in the minority on this, but I'm really glad they didn't include an outline. I think it's a much crisper look without the extra white border. Since you brought it up, the new look also separates the look from the stylized leaf of team Canada as well as the that from the Jets roundel. Truly unique look again.

2015-16 NHL Uniform and Logo Changes

Dropping the script was an upgrade but the blue on blue just doesn't do it for me. I think it needs more contrast. I've tried adding green to the logo as well and agree that it never seems to quite work.

The "V" looks infinitely better than any variation of the "C" (excluding awful Johnny Canuck Vachon head). I wish they would go with something like this.
  21. Agreed with all of this but I still wish the execution managed to look a bit more like an actual maple leaf (less like a fern) even though I've already explained why that would be difficult to pull off due to the word mark. Overall, I'm happy that the corporate blockier leaf is gone, but the rectangular look of the vintage leaf has always bugged me. I think something in between could have been pulled off with the right designer. Overall an upgrade, but unfortunately still lacking....in my opinion....but far better than what I feared based on some of the concepts floating around.
  22. I'm actually torn. I agree that the Ballard leaf best represents the shape, and I love the shape of the standard stylized Canadian maple leaf in most logos. However I prefer that the team logo of the Maple Leafs be more vintage in appearance. I've flipped back and forth on the new logo since it came out. I think it will look great on a jersey. The Ballard leaf looks nice on paper but sometimes felt a bit too boring on ice when you compared it to the Wings or Hawks. I'm willing to trade old school detail for a bit of realism especially when it actually pays tribute to the historic logos previously used by the team. The 1963 throwbacks always popped better in game play than the regular uniforms in my opinion. I'm optimistic these will accomplish the same.
