Ya, funny enough the Wild were always blacked out on NHL.TV in Milwaukee but not the Blackhawks (unless nationally televised). In terms of the new arena in Milwaukee, it was built as basketball-first, unlike the Bradley Center it replaced. It's not quite as bad as the Barclays Center in Brooklyn for hockey but it's not great. Here's a picture of a college hockey tournament that was held there this past winter. The upper bowl won't be tarped off for the NHL preseason game but as you can see, the end seats will still need to be retracted to fit the rink.

I do like how the Cup is much more front and center. I think my only issues with the redesign is it looking like the VGK crest and where the numbers for the year are placed.

As @the admiral already pointed out, there's no way Foley gets fired over that. If you've watched a Hawks game, you'll know that Pat (and Eddie) make dumb jokes all the time and all in good fun. Obviously, this one was a bit insensitive and it's good that he apologized but it doesn't need to be made into anything more than that. Best for all parties to just move on. Now, if he continues to make similar insensitive jokes, then that's a different story and the proper consequences will have to happen at that time.

If I had to guess, I would say that the animated Pixar film "Coco" has played a part in the holiday's recent popularity.
