    NCAA Color Rush by CinnamonRoll21

There are a couple of ncaa color rush concepts on the boards. I was going to do this a lot earlier, so don't think I'm trying to steal anyone's concepts. These will be hand drawn. Constructive criticism is appreciated, I will be free to take request. Also, I will only be doing colleges sponsored by Nike. Hope you like them Ohio State

    NCAA Color Rush

Watching the Color Rush games so far this year has hurt my eyes a little bit, but then I had an idea: "What if college teams were doing it?" I think the Color Rush idea is cool, but with the one-helmet rule in the NFL, kind of defeats the idea of "one color head to toe". College has no such rule so here's my rules for this: One color head to toe. NO WHITE. Unless you're Alabama and you have 2 colors. Or just have 2 colorsNo entirely new designs. Might add a stripe to pants or helmet, but nothing new. All teams will be on the Mach Speed template. I don't have good working Adidas/UA templates yet. Here's Ohio State: Ohio State in all red looked really bad. Like really bad. So they are back in black. I think this is the only team that has white because of the buckeye stickers.
  3. So I started to make an AeroSwift template when it was unveiled, and I didn't have enough resources to complete it at the time, so I moved on, worked on other things and now, in the the biggest basketball month of the year, I finally have a template. It will be an .ai file and I'm still debating on a release right away. But in the meantime, and to make sure that I worked out all the bugs, I decided to roll in a Sweet 16 concept thread with it. First things first, here's the template. And starting off the concepts is the Wisconsin/Florida matchup: Wisconsin's newish look doesn't change a whole lot with the move to the template. Biggest difference is the leg stripes wrap around the legs this time. So I do not like Florida's current uniforms, the panel design just isn't doing it for me, so I mixed the HyperElite Disruption uniforms with the sublimated gator pattern, and the stripe pattern from the 2013 uniforms and you get the above result. I know I'm a day late dollar short for the whole set of games, but I still plan on getting through them all to the finals. C&C welcome!!
  4. Here is the new and improved NCAA Basketball Uniform Database! All courts are made by And 1 Designs. I just do the uniforms. I am doing the top 7 in each of the top 6 conferences. Except the SEC will have the top 5 wth 2 being from the American. Same with the PAC 12 with 2 being from the WCC. This are the the first 4 in the Big East. Enjoy!
  5. Updated 3/31: Elite 8 Complete/Final Four Set Elite 8 Complete/Final Four Set: First Four: On Off Sweet 16 Complete: First Four On First Four Off Round of 32 Complete: First Four On First Four Off Round of 64 Complete: First Four On First Four Off First Four Round of 64 with First Four off Release (3840x2160) A new year, a new theme and look. Info after the photo. - A clean look, optimized for larger, hopefully easier to read school/team name and overall record text. - Tournament Title in white and black trim, with an orange shadow - Round of 64 teams will have smaller logos than in last years first round. In addition, Round of 64 team records will be replaced with that Team's game score. - Round of 32 through the Elite Eight features a slightly smaller pod, but a more vertical logo. Above the divider will be the school name, and below will be the Team's game score. - Round of 32 through the Elite Eight orange end caps will be changed to the team's color once they advance. - The Final Four, black team pod with orange gradient trim. - National Championship matchup features black team pods with gold gradient trim. Note: The "First Games" are at the bottom center of the bracket, but may be covered by a app dock or other apps. I've turned on dock hiding and that fixes the issue. But once the First Four is complete, I'll remove the first four pods for a cleaner bracket. C&C: I thought about lightening the background, as it's a little darker here than I anticipated, then again it might just be the perfectionist in me.

    NCAA Color Rush

Hello, A couple of days I was thinking about the "Color Rush" unis that the NFL teams use. I wondered how major NCAA teams would look with these flashy sets. I did a quick search, and found BKKnight95's old thread about NCAA Color Rush unis. If you would like to see his, Click Here. Anyways, I decided to give a crack at it, and came up with a pretty nice set for Georgia. Here it is. List: Georgia (Edited) Georgia Tech (Edited)

    Nike State Mascot Series

Last thanksgiving, I spent the wee hours of the morning coming up with a logo. The logo had been in my head for a few days, and it was a Virginia Tech logo of a turkey incorporating the shape of Virginia. Made it, got a couple of likes, and that was it. I saw it the other day and thought it was cool, so I tweeted it back out. It was really well received and a few people told me I need to make more. That's what I did! I made the California one a few weeks ago, and the Tennessee one today. They feel like Nike shirts to me, so I'm calling this the Nike State Mascot Series Feel free to suggest some if you have an idea!
  8. Instead of making an 'unique' bracket for March Madness I decided to give a theme based on popular culture from the past year. Enter Stranger Things. All logos were used in 1983 which is the year of season 1. I took the time to research each school in advance by going through this website, digitized yearbooks, youtube games, and google searching. I believe this is about 96% accurate to 1983. "In reality NC State defeated Houston as a Cinderella team. That game is considered to be in the Top 5 of greatest finishes in the NCAA Tournament. The Final Four was hosted in Albuquerque, New Mexico and the tournament consisted of 52 teams. In the Upside Down, the tournament expanded to 68 teams and neither NC State or Houston qualified. How will the tournament fare this year? Will we see stranger things happen in March?"

    March Madness Concepts

Selection Sunday is a couple of weeks away and Nike and Adidas usually release new uniforms for a couple of teams. If your team is a lock for the Tourney, then expect a concept to be made for them. These are the teams that I'll be doing. Nike Gonzaga Arizona Villanova Duke Kentucky Florida North Carolina Oregon West Virginia Virginia Purdue Adidas Kansas UCLA Louisville Wisconsin Here are my Kansas Jayhawks
  10. Here is a logo concept for the Montana Grizzlies. A bear is another mascot that every designer should try to draw up. I took inspiration from their current bear's face and smoothed it out some. Rendered it in their current Maroon/Silver and the vintage Gold/Copper.
  11. I'm guessing I'll catch some flack for this but, I'm tweaking the "un-tweak...able." I'm a fan of the Texas's current look, however a few things have bothered me. It looks a bit flat and the shape of the horns looks off (especially compared to Bevo). So I went in and fleshed out the animal. In doing this I added a color... cream to the look. I feel like I've always associated cream color with UT but I can't place it... Anyway, I did a flat version too for all those fans that would have to breathe into a paper bag if they dropped that all together: Here are some reference images:

    Deshaun Watson Logo Concept

My concept for an athlete log like Lebron, Chris Paul, RG3, etc... I think I have a good start, want to get some feedback on it. Put it in the Cardinals colors, cause well, we need him haha.
  13. Once again; this would not end up being used by the school. They have tooooo much invested in Herbie looking guys. But I tried to think of some mascots that fit the name, region, and aren't human. Because let's face it, it won't be long until all human mascots will offend someone. My 2 options here are: Raccoon- They are always raiding the corn fields, cribs, and silos. They are from the animal family Musteloidea so they fit in the BIG10. They have peopleish hands so to get to the corn they actually husk it. They are un-used in D1. Drawback- many farmers hate them. Scarecrow- They are associated with fields/corn fields. Human-ish so it's not as far of a move from Herbie. They are un-used in D1. They are often stuffed with corn husks. Drawback- seem to be either too creepy or too friendly. Here are the looks: Raccoon: Not sure about the eyes A B Scarecrow: Let me know what you think. If you think they should just have a Herbie, then explain why in a way that is not "because that's what they've always had".
  14. Indiana has had a bulldog, bison, and an ox as a mascot identity. Rather than fall in with one of the most populous mascots I chose to go with the ox (I've done a lot of bison work too) .
  15. Let me start by saying that this is NOT intended to replace the grinning Goldy. Also, I KNOW that the school would not replace the current Goldy with this one. After I did the Michigan Wolverine and Wisconsin Badger I thought I'd try to give a similar feel to the Minnesota Gophers. I used the 13 striped ground squirrel for reference; no it's not a gopher but judging by Goldy's tail it's what he is based off of and many people call the ground squirrel a gopher. I think it turned out to have a good balance of cute and fight. Comment with your thoughts.

    All Things College Hockey

Figured we could have a spot for all things college hockey, logos, jerseys, regular old convorsations about the games themselves. please delete this thread if I have missed a pre existing thread. What do you think of the "50th Season Throwback" for the riverhawks, I was at the game a few days ago and I personally enjoyed the Jersey in action.

    Falcons Concept Logo

Before I'm away for the weekend, I thought I'd leave you with this new design and a few thoughts. I was recently inspired to draw-up a falcon image and while working it out I chose to think metacognitively about my process. What follows are a list of some of the thoughts that were........thunk. 1. Lets see what a falcon looks like Search for falcon images 2. Falcons have big eyes and a small beak compared to eagles and hawks, that's a distiguishing feature Draw out the shape of a basic falcon head 3. An angled pose would be most dynamic Search falcon in stoop or stooping falcon stooping is a funny word Add more slant to composition 4. They almost have an innocent look to them 5. Try to keep some of the innocent look 6. I wanna keep that ring around the eye, that's a distiguishing feature 7. Since the eye doesn't have much anger, what makes them scary? They are FAST..... lightning shapes They have a black colored eye... no yellow in the eye itself like hawks and eagles, that's a distiguishing feature Search falcon screeching 8. Erase closed beak, draw in open mouth 9. Keep dark portion of beak, that's a distiguishing feature 10. Work in the dark shape in the feather colors on the face 11. Huh, that doesn't look half bad References used:

    Wisconsin Badgers Logo

I must have Mustelids on the brain! I just re-tooled my wolverine logo and that inspired me to do a badger logo. I didn't actually have Wisconsin in mind when I started this, but its an easy fit. I also KNOW that they would never dump their classic Bucky. This is just a conceptual idea on which I'd like to get some feedback.

    Michigan Wolverine Logo

Back in 2010 I created a Michigan Wolverines logo and it looked pretty good for my skill-set at that time. But, now I've been constantly seeing flaws. So I've gone back and re-tooled it! Let me know if I upgraded or downgraded it and any other C&C. 2010: 2016:

    Bowl Game Wallpapers

I am posting some 2016-2017 game bowl posts you for anybody that would like a desktop wallpaper. My only thing with these is I am sure about the bars I put the team name in. I feel like they are a little plain but Im not sure what I can do with them. But that just me if you feel differently about the team text or have any suggestions on how I can fix them just please me know. I all will probably constantly update some of these if the schools announce they will be wearing a different helmet then the ones I already made. All feed back will be much appreciated!
  21. About half a year ago, SFU's Department of Athletics announced that they were looking at the possibility of sending their men's hockey team into NCAA Division I. There had been no updates since then... Anyway, here goes the concepts. Home: Away: Alternate: Work in progress...
  22. http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/ncaaf/2016/07/28/when-is-the-college-football-playoff-date-change-bill-hancock-new-years-eve/87644010/ After intense opposition and declining television ratings, the College Football Playoff has discontinued its attempt to create a new tradition on New Year’s Eve. Playoff executive director Bill Hancock told USA TODAY Sports the event’s management committee has decided to change the dates of the Playoff semifinals In four of seven years when those games were scheduled for Dec. 31. They now will instead be played on the preceding Saturday. The other three years, New Year’s Day falls on Saturday or is designated a Federal holiday.
