    Braves Alternate Hat

Mulled over the idea of a true alternate hat for the Atlanta Braves. They currently use only the Navy Hat/Red Bill/White A at home with the All Navy/White A on the road. They seem to have dropped the old Navy hat/Red Tomahawk A hat that was the alternate. Here's to trying out something different. The B from the "Braves" script. C&C appreciated. Chop On.

    Atlanta Falcons Logo Concept

The Falcons are overdue for a fresh look. In my opinion, their old look wasn't a bad one, but Arthur Blank wanted to forge a new winning identity, so I get why the brand was changed. It's unfortunate that such a classic and strong logo had to fall victim to association to decades of losing. My idea is to go back to the old branding, but not all the way. I kept the current forward tilt of the current logo, as well as the aggressive bird's eye and overall feel to the classic logo. I did some styling to the wing feathers for a more aerodynamic look, and updated the bird's head and beak to look more like a bird of prey than the old, docile head of the classic logo. I may play around with helmet/uniform concepts along this line, so stay tuned! Here are the old and current logos for reference:

    Atlanta United 3rd Kit Concept

Atlanta United is rumored to be doing away with their inaugural away kits, which is a good thing in my view as they were pretty boring. I love their red and black striped kit, and wanted to keep the "5 Stripes" in my concept kit as well. It's an all black idea, so I thought it may work better as a 3rd kit rather than their main away kit. I may attempt an away kit as well on this thread in the future.
  4. I'm not a big basketball guy (in fact, this is my first basketball concept ever), but I'm an Atlantan and very displeased with the Hawks uniforms. The shift to navy blue and red 10-15 years ago felt foreign (I know they had worn those colors before, but it was so long ago) but was at least relatively harmless. I was excited to see an emphasis put back on the Pac Man logo as they slowly reintroduced him. However, the way the redesign was executed left me with a bad taste in my mouth. The red was very prominent. That much was good. Navy blue was out; also good. In its place was a dark gray...not the familiar black, but better, nonetheless. Where it really fell apart was the hideous volt. What a terrible color that looks so out of place! I also realize the Hawks have used lime green before, but they hadn't used it paired with these new colors. The red, gray, and volt felt like a cheap knockoff version of the Hawks I grew up with. The Hawks have such great inspiration to pull from, and the current iteration with the feather pattern misses the mark. Overly detailed, poor color balance (can I say gaudy?), too trendy and already outdated. Definitely not "timeless." I wanted to come up with a design that feels familiar for the Hawks but pushes the needle a bit. The Dominique Wilkins era uniforms were near perfect for the time but don't quite translate to today's NBA. The Hawks need to emphasize red, white, and yellow. The current red and black sets are screaming for some white to balance it out because the volt makes it look dirty and dingy. Black should definitely be used sparingly and in this case, I relegated it only to an alternate uniform. It works because black is familiar for Atlanta, but leaves the main uniforms untouched. Those sets don't need any black at all. I took the forward looking graphic of the script and applied it throughout the uniform: the front and back number, as well as the NOB. I skipped name and number outlines in the interest of letting the design do the talking. It has a "loud" script so I wanted to keep the rest of the set fairly minimalistic. I originally had a contrasting collar and shoulder trim, but I got rid of those for the same reason. I created the new Nike template from scratch and if there's interest I may release it. Still playing around with it and optimizing it for use. It includes all the various seams and mesh panels. _________________________________________ TEMPLATE RELEASE I have tried to make this pretty user friendly. Just pay attention when you're changing the color of the uniform to also swap the inner garment color. There's a shadow layer and if you disable that layer's visibility, then you can click the inner garment color and swap that. I tweaked a couple things from my original design: got rid of the dashed stitching and just made it solid since it's hardly visible, anyways...added a jock tag, inner neck detailing, etc. The file is an Adobe Illustrator file (which I believe should also open and be compatible within Inkscape). https://drive.google.com/file/d/1qnKqVYduUtFGMPYpiAdCT93F1Dt7s5Y0/view?usp=sharing

    New Atlanta Stadium

Prelim designs for the new Atlanta Stadium just got released. Two options, one called The Pantheon which is pretty ground breaking and looks to be more of the enclosed multi-use stadium with the wow factor that the city wants and the other is The Solarium which looks like a greenhouse. Very Lucas Oil like with great open views of the city which I know the owner said he wanted. The Pantheon The Solarium Here's the link where you can download the full PDF which has the other design as well. http://clatl.com/fre...#readerComments What do yall think?

    Full body hawks logo

So I was thinking about the hawks and I always liked the full body logo of the 90's and 00's but the one they have now is perfect so I combined them, C&C welcome!
  7. So not exactly a logo or uni design, but I enjoy making FSU wallpapers for big games, big moments or just general cool designs. I went ahead and made this for the upcoming Florida State-Alabama game this September. I tried to use a vintage fight poster theme, thus why it's a little over the top and cheesy. Enjoy!

    ATL Falcons Rebrand

Been working on this project recently for fun. I'm not 100% done but it's come a long way and I'm happy with it as is now. Goal was to refresh the brand and create something that wont age quite as quickly as their current branding. I'm a fan so I may be biased, but I love what the Panthers did when they refreshed the logo and word mark (next step is uniforms, hopefully). The Panthers logo was definitely inspiration for this project. Check out some of the project below and more on my portfolio! http://jessediebolt.com/atlanta-falcons-rebrand Looking forward to your feedback!
  9. Hey guys, Wanted to take a shot at a new project...this is my first attempt working with Illustrator rather than Inkscape. I'm using my own template (which has been slightly streamlined). I envisioned a new look for the Falcons, whose current uniform has been stale for about a decade. This new set would coincide with the new stadium and is more of a throwback look. The overall look harkens back to the beautiful throwbacks from 1966 with the addition of sleeve stripes. I felt conflicted because I love the Northwestern style stripes they've worn before...I also love the gray pants with the red, white, and black stripe (same as the Super Bowl 1998 team's pants)...but mixing those with the helmet and you have a complete hodgepodge of striping patterns. So I've started from the helmet and the throwback pants stripe and expanding into a simple and consistent stripe across all elements. I have designed a custom number font. It's somewhat based off of the wordmark font and tweaked but I think it's still rather simple. I have also included an "Inaugural Season" patch on the black jersey, which I'd imagine they would wear for the very first game at the new stadium. Here's the rest of the number set:

    Atlanta Braves New Stadium

The Braves have released their renderings of the new ballpark Highlights: 6,000 parking spaces for a 41,000 seat ballpark and no Public Transportation A complex of suburban shops, offices, and residences (Because it worked so well for Glendale) A ballpark seemingly purposefully turned to obstruct any possible view of Atlanta.

    Falcons 2017 design

Hey! just a random idea i had... people have probably had plenty of interpretations of the Falcons especially recently with the new 2017 stadium / possible new designs / etc, but i wanted to throw my hat in the ring Updated the logo slightly to streamline the outlining a bit, simple white keyline around the grey area now instead of vice versa Trying to update the wordmark a bit, kind of just a throwaway idea here, i could take it or leave it myself New custom font, trying to add a bit of "speed" to the uniform with some pointed edges and italicized feel. still trying to keep it simple, though. i feel like nike would do something in this general area. the white numbers on black with red trim is simply inspired by throwbacks Home uniforms, more throwback references with the red helmets. i know the fans here like the black jersey / red helmet throwback for a fact, and the league could stand to get rid of a black helmet, so many teams have it. white pants as the primary option, but grey pants like the early 2000s return, albeit a darker grey. white pants also the primary option for road, but black pants come in to play as well Red jerseys with black pants as an alternate, red all red color rush and "alternate" helmet decals. the helmet uses a short pointy stripe but keeps it pretty simple overall. Using an old Bucco template here i think lol. slightly modified but good work Buc it's stood the test of time. Let me know what you guys think

    Atlanta United Uni Concept

We're officially just one year away from MLS in Atlanta! I decided to post an idea for the soccer kit, or soccer shirt really, for Atlanta United FC. The concepts are based on the 2016 Adidas design being used in the MLS this season. Any constructive feedback is welcome.

    New Atlanta Falcons Logo/Uni Concept

It's about time for my beloved Falcons to get a new look. And by new look I mean go back to when our logo and helmet was the best thing going in the NFL even if our team wasn't.

    NHL Evolution-Faux Historys

So I'm kind of taking my 90's remix jerseys and going to the next level. I'm taking defunct NHL teams and continuing there jersey history like they never left. I'm going to do the Atlanta Flames, Colorado Rockies, Minnesota North Stars, Atlanta Thrashers, Kansas City Scouts, Hartford Whalers, Quebec Nordiques, Winnipeg Jets and Cleveland Barons. Here's the first team I've done The Rockies, from its 76-77 debut threw the 90's Non traditional in to the 2000's edge and the transformation from yellow gold to "golden Colorado" Vegas style gold.
  16. 2016 / Arizona 2017 / Tampa Bay 2018 / Atlanta 2019 / San Francisco Bay Area ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ORIGINAL POST My first post of 2016 will be something I've been thinking about for a while. Like the old Super Bowl logos, I wanted to make location-specific logos for the College Football Playoff National Championship games. I want to create a template (like the Final Four) where each logo features one constant item, but they all still have elements related to the city in which the game is being played. I've started with a rough draft for this year's game in Glendale. You can kinda see where I'm going with this. (p.s., if anyone knows any fonts that would work well with Arizona, let me know) Rough Draft:
  17. I was bored on my computer and decided to create a team called the Atlanta Pirates. Before I release the uniforms, I wanted to release the primary, alternate, and wordmark logos.

    Atlanta Hawks -- 2015 rebranding

I just wanted to start a thread for discussion about Atlanta's upcoming rebrand -- as we've got one for the Bucks, Raptors, 76ers, and Clippers, but don't seem to have one for the Hawks. Most of the discussion has been in the general NBA changes thread. It looks like we'll be getting the new look on Wednesday. http://www.ajc.com/news/sports/basketball/big-week-of-change-for-hawks-with-uniforms-owners-/nmjBX/?ecmp=ajc_social_twitter_2014_hawks_sfp We've already seen these: http://news.sportslogos.net/2015/05/30/atlanta-hawks-new-logo-leaked/ No idea how credible this is so take it FWIW:

    New Atlanta Hawks Uni Concepts

I have always been one to care about uniforms, logos and the general aesthetics of sports. I am a huge Hawks fan, and we pumped when the organization decided to go back to the pacman identity. Now that it is reported to be our primary identity starting next year along with some other changes, I assume our uniforms will reflect our new identity. I'll initially post rough ideas/sketches, and eventually add more polished artwork. You are welcome to post any ideas you may have and/or feedback.

    Atlanta Hawks Rebrand

Hello, all. I'm in the middle of working on an NBA series- with a twist. But I'm not going to tell you that twist- yet. For now, I'm looking for C&C on the concept, of course, and the presentation as well. First team, in alphabetical order, is the Atlanta Hawks, so I'll share them as a bit of a teaser. Logos, numbers, wordmarks, etc: Home uniform: Away: Alternate: And my first attempt at a personal logo is in the corner. It can be read as a B as it is, or a M turned 90 degrees. I forget who made the template, but thanks to them. Enjoy!

    Atlanta MLS challenge

Ive been lurking on the forums admiring the work you all do. Today, Atlanta officially got the MLS franchise and Arthur Blank has said that team name and logo will be up wfor suggestion/discussion. He did reveal the colors would be red, black, and gold and that they would stay away from the Chiefs name from our NASL days. Any one interested in creating a logo/kit for a team with no identity yet? One of my greatest fears as an Atlantan is that our team gets a horrible logo/name/identity. I was an avid Thrashers fan but that was one of the worst logos in pro sports history.
  23. Arthur Blank the owner of the Atlanta Falcons is adding and Atlanta MLS team to his portfolio. Both teams will be sharing the New Falcons stadium in 2017. I thought it could be cool if Blank combined Atlanta soccer history with the future, while showing the Falcons relationship. I feel like the logo would need some adjustments, but I ran out of ideas.
  24. From what is being reported Atlanta will be announced as the newest MLS expansion team on April 16th. As of right now I have not heard of any discussions of the Atlanta Silverbacks (NASL) moving into the MLS, especially since the ownership groups are different. I was just wondering what a Silverbacks kit would look like designed for the MLS. Last week as well the SIlverbacks released their new kits for the upcoming NASL season. They were no longer sporting the hoops which I personally liked, and have no character at all. I would love to hear some feedback, as this is the first uniform design I have tried.
