  1. HJC just finished their Pairs Comp, And I teamed up with fellow designer Burkus Circus for an idea for a 2019 Centennial Classic doubleheader. The main idea is that the NHL is helping the Packers celebrate their centennial season by playing two outdoor games at Lambeau Field. First, a College matchup between the Golden Gophers and Badgers, then an NHL showdown between the Blackhawks and Wild. I designed the Event Logo, Ice Surface, and Slideshow, while Burkus Circus designed the jerseys and title page. Disclaimer: I have received full permission from Burkus Circus to display our work here. Thanks for watching!

    Crosstown Classic Logo Concept

    What do you all think?
  3. Ahead of the independent league baseball Chicago Dogs' inaugural season, I decided to try my hand at what their uniforms might look like: HOME: ROAD: The designs are informed by the team's previously unveiled logo, a roundel featuring a hot dog set against a baseball in the Chicago flag colors of sky blue and red. It's a really solid logo, but it didn't really work well as a jersey logo, so I rotated it on its side, which solved the problem. The home jersey is pinstriped, as are the home unis of both Major League Chicago teams, and the road set is powder blue with red pinstripes and uses the Cubs' 1958-68 road wordmark. I also used a recolored version of the Angels' Disney era numbers, which seemed to work well here. C&C appreciated! The season begins in less than a month, so I'm expecting an official unveiling of the Dogs' uniforms any day now. It'll be interesting to see how close (or far off) I came to predicting the uniforms.
  4. Hi Guys, its my first thread on these boards after I have been a long time lurker. Love the whole idea of concepts/re-designs so i thought i would do most of the NBA, Some jerseys are awesome this season...some not so. Like i said i will be doing most teams so i will update as i go along FIRST UP IS THE BULLS. Got some inspiration for the white & red jerseys from the current Timberwolves jerseys (i love them) Thought i would keep the traditional bulls red. black & white scheme going throughout and the fade in the background. The black jersey incorporates the classic red pinstripe from the Jordan era....this one is my fave out of the trio. Any feedback would be great.
  5. I created a new concept for the Chicago Fire 3rd kit. The current away and 3rd kits are both based on the Chicago flag, so I thought it was time to change it up. These Jerseys are based on a fire fighter's uniform, The neon and silver accents would be a reflective material similar to that of a fire fighter's uniform. (the image with the black background is meant to show off the reflective accents.) This is what the reflective material looks like in action (Lower Left) This is also seen on the new Tampa Bay Jerseys Although The CFD wears black uniforms I wanted to keep at least on team color on the jersey.

    NHL Outdoor Games Ideas

This is Where I will post my concepts for potential Outdoor Games that I think the NHL should consider, and will even write mini proposals We start off with a crazy idea I has for a Florida outdoor game, a stadium series probably. First off, it would take place in Raymond James Stadium (the Bucs home), which in the winter can go down to as low as 40 F, perfect to sustain ice for a perfect amount of time. With some nice planning, this would not be much of a hassle. As to why to do this you ask? These two teams are very unknown and do not have any attention going to them. A NBCSN game and outdoor game in Florida would attract much press attention. Also although I do not agree with most southern market NHL teams, I feel that Tampa Bay has a very passionate fan base and does deserve this. Now for the aesthetics of it, the Florida Panthers whole theming would be around the sun and heat, as they do represent most of Florida and many of their logos do indeed. For this I made the Panthers uniforms have the rays of the sun on the bottom stripe as well as more red and yellow then usual. The Lightnings uniform have the grey color of storm clouds, using all 4 of their colors rather then just 2. For the actual presentation of the arena the arena would be set up with palm trees all around the outskirts similar Minnesota's pine tree display. There would be a small picture above the arena of a sun facing off against a storm, pushing against one another. This would be between the logos. When the Bolts come out lightning coils will activate as they walk in. When the Panthers walk in fire will erupt followed by gold-ish smoke. Worst case scenario it all melts. Also I feel its only appropriate to have both team goal horns go off. Any Ideas for the next one?

    Chicago Bulls Logo Concept

Here is a logo concept inspired by member mattr1198's concept (if on dribbble it'd be a rebound). I meshed the Windy City Bulls' logo with my own creations: I think they both look pretty sweet, but my edge goes to the left. What about you?

    NBA Blacktop Series by Bruins

This is a project I'd had in my head for a long time, and I finally decided to make it happen. My concept for the NBA to be taken outdoors for the first time in history, the NBA Blacktop Series. The BS if you will. As crazy as it sounds, I think it would be possible if done right for an NBA game to be played outside. I mean if they can do it with hockey, they can do it with roundball. The more outlandish part of the idea is a proposal for the game to be played on an actual street court, Chicago's Margaret Hie Ding Lin Park Court in this case. It would fit in well with the NBA's mindset and would be kind of like bringing players back to their roots, where it all began, on a humble street court. So below are all the facets of what I think this could/should look like. LOGO The logo for the Blacktop Series is simple and uniform, but still hanging on to some uniqueness while serving as a kind of ode to Chicago's Hie Ding Park, with the underside of the El tracks center stage on the logo and court alike. Any further games would fit this same half-circle logo template. SECONDARIES UNIFORMS The matchup for the inaugural Blacktop game is Pistons/Bulls which i think is a healthy enough rivalry, esp. city wise, to kick the series off. The jerseys are noticeably button-up which will serve as a distinct icon of outdoor b-ball. Chi-Town's uni has a black base with the colors of the city's flag as bold accent colors. The Flag Shield secondary from the event logo is the sleeve patch and the flag's four six-point stars are an accent underneath the numbers. Detroit's jersey is much more understated with the D from their new logo on the left breast and the new logo itself as a sleeve patch. Motor City silver is the base. SEATING PLAN C&C hugely appreciated as this is the biggest single project I've done yet, so I'd love to hear what you think of the first installment of the NBA Blacktop Series! Thanks guys

    Updating the Chicago Bulls

The Bulls logo, at least in my opinion, is in much need of an update, as classic as it is. With inspiration from the Windy City Bulls logo, I decided to update this classic logo into a much less dated and cooler design. Let me know what you think. OLD: NEW:

  12. Six months after the unveiling of the new Maple Leafs uniform, I'm used to the mega-thick stripe on the hem, but I actually don't like the classic double stripes on the arms. A great logo like this needs a bold design to compliment it, so I decided to make my fix. The Arenas' 4-stripe barberpole adjusted to fit the thick hem stripe replaces the double stripe, while on the home the stripe is lowered to throwback to the Arenas and form a T with the new pants. The stripe is kept where it is on the away, so the negative white space on the hem connects with the pants. The pants themselves are simple. so to go with the stripe I just put the simple Arenas' T. To show the full uniform and the T on the pants, I used one of JCRGraphix's great templates. C&C Appreciated!

    Chicago Fire Logo Concept

Hey Guys! It has been awhile since I've put up a concept, so here we go. This is a concept for the MLS Chicago Fire. I tried to make it more modern so it can fit with the new "feel" of the MLS. I kept a few touches from the old logo and some from around the MLS. I hope you guys like this one! C&C Welcome! Thanks!
  14. I took a short break from my NHL Pastel Series to redo the Winter Classic jerseys. The changes I made were mostly minor, but I think they really improve the jerseys. St. Louis Blues The Blues really nailed their Winter Classic uniforms this year. When I started out I wanted to incorporate the St. Louis flag into the jersey. Sadly, any way I tried to do so looked awful, so I left the jersey striping as-is, just filled in the cuffs and waist. Chicago Blackhawks The Blackhawks have really untouchable jerseys, so these don't have a major impact either. The "improvements" I made on this one were to add in some sky blue from the Chicago flag, and add the red stars from the flag on the arms. So, I know those were some really minor changes, but what do you think?
  15. The 2016 World Series will be a historic one, to put it mildly. The Chicago Cubs have not won a World Series in 108 years; the Indians have waited 68. In just a few days' time, the history of one of those long-suffering teams will be changed forever. That's a pretty big deal. So for this set, I decided to look at some meaningful uniforms the two teams have worn over the last century. Much like my previous entries in this series, these uniforms would be worn a couple times per season, tops. The Cubs and Indians aren't true rivals, but I have a feeling they'll become them after this postseason. Let's start with the Cubs: CHICAGO CUBS For the Cubs home set, I decided to go with a clean, pinstripe-less look based on their home unis from 1945, which was the last time they appeared in the World Series. I used their current primary logo and a white cap with blue bill similar to their 1908 caps. I went with road pinstripes for their away set, but replaced the old "bear with bat" logo with their current "walking bear" alternate logo. CLEVELAND INDIANS: The Indians home set is a combination of two looks: their 1948 home unis and their late '80s "Major League"-era unis. As such, I'm thinking of making this uniform off-white to give it an old-timey look and to separate it from the Cubs home set. Their road set is loosely based on the Cleveland Cavaliers "Pride" uniforms, which the Cavs wore when they clinched the NBA Finals Championship this past June. I'm thinking of adding front numbers on the opposite side of the block "C," as well as eliminating the sleeve stripes to make it even truer to those Cavs jerseys. I left the road cap blank for now because I haven't yet decided how it should look. I'm leaning towards using Chief Wahoo, so that every cap in this series won't have a "C" on it. As controversial as Wahoo may be, the fact remains that he's been a big part of the Indians identity for the last half century. Any suggestions for the cap would be great. As always, C&C appreciated!
  16. Here is the latest in my series of MLB Rivalry Faceoff concepts. No real reason I chose these teams other than the fact that they have similar names. The two Sox teams don't really have much of a rivalry and I believe they've only met in the postseason once. Still, I've had some design ideas for these teams and I thought this series would be a perfect opportunity to get them out of my system. Let's start with the Red Sox: Per @Discrimihater's suggestion, the Red Sox home jersey is inspired by the '80s Celtics warmup jackets. The road uni is loosely based on Boston's 1999 All-Star Game jerseys and puts the Red Sox in vests with the dangling socks logo on the chest. What do you guys think of the shamrock sleeve patches? Too much? Also, I really wanted to give the home set a red cap with white brim, but I couldn't figure out what logo to put on the front. Any suggestions? The White Sox home set incorporates elements from several early 20th century uniforms. I used the Shoeless Joe-era logo, the "crossing socks" cap design from their 1926 road set and the T-bars from the '40s jerseys. I also gave the jersey oversized buttons with pinwheels on them, an idea I took from mascot Southpaw's jersey. The road set is basically what they wore on the road for the first fifteen years of their existence, updated with their present day color scheme. The wordmark and numbers are from their notorious '76 unis. I really wanted to emphasize the WHITE in White Sox, so the home set has black stirrups over white sanis, while the road set has striped hosiery inspired by their 1917 World Series uniform socks. As always, C&C appreciated!

Anyone know who did these edits?

I don't know if this is the right place(so feel to move it to the proper section) but there's these cool edits of Jarran Reed and A'Shawn Robinson in their new uniforms and I would like to know who did them and see if it was done to some of the rookies. Chicago Cubs April Fools Redesign

Hello! I'm sure several of you saw the April Fools New Jersey Angels redesign. If not, you should google it. Anyway, that inspired me because it's a pretty decent logo, but it would never ever be used. I decided to try the same concept on the Chicago Cubs. I realize they would never change their colors to green and red. I modeled the main logo off of a Cubs script they used to use. The logo is inspired by the ivy at Wrigley. Also, I hardly ever draw baseball concepts, so don't be too harsh.
  19. The Chicago Bulls announced today that the team has been granted the right to own and operate an NBA D-League club that will begin play in the 2016-17 season. The new team will play its home games at Sears Centre Arena in Hoffman Estates, IL. The team is running a "Name-The-Team" contest, with an interesting caveat– all team name suggestions must end in “Bulls”. http://www.bullsdleague.com/

    Chicago Huskies hockey

Chicago Huskies concept is part of the fictional Great Lakes Hockey Association that also has my other concept for the league the Marathon Argos based in Marathon, Ontario. I plan on posting this to Hockeyjerseyconcepts. I altered the UConn Huskies logo to look more like my huskie Moxie's fur patterns and tones. She has more of a cream tone and not white that is why there is little to no white color in the concept. and the pawprint is based off of her own pawprint . There will be more designs of other teams coming possibly.

    Chicago Blackhawks third jersey concept

After seeing a depiction of the Blackhawks logo in JUST black, white and red on Corey Crawford's mask, I wonder if a jersey could be made with that logo. I decided to look through the Blackhawks jersey history to see if anything could work. I chose the 1928 jersey with a few changes... 1. Most obvious, the insertion of red into the jersey color scheme. 2. The large collection of stripes on the should has now be condensed into a repeat of the sleeve stripes. 3. I actually like it when a team can put logos on their sleeves instead of their shoulders. Not that it always works, but when they do it well, it works great. 4. I actually think this looks well with no waist stripes at all. I tried putting the sleeve stripes across the waist but they were too huge and too cluttered and left almost no room for the jersey name and number. What do you think?

Horns Up: A Chicago Bulls Rebrand

I was playing around with Greek mythology and thought about making teams off of their symbols (e.g. Athena Owls, Zeus Eagles) and decided to go with Bulls for Poseidon. Since he's my favorite, I made them first. After a while I decided to shove that off and use the logo for a Bulls golden anniversary rebrand. https://www.behance.net/gallery/32912741/Chicago-Bulls-Rebrand-Concept Non-Behance bonus:
