    Orem Owlz set

Owls fly mainly at night...and the lunar cycle is often marked on calendars. So a while ago, I was looking at a calendar, and thought it'd be a good idea to somehow incorporate it into a uniform. So here we are. Home/Away set Alternates I figured I'd keep things semi-normal aside from the lunar cuffs (a theme I would have gone with for Asheville if I hadn't been revisiting the Hawaiian shirt angle), if only so you aren't as speechless as you were in my last baseball post.

    Asheville Tourists revisited

As an old song put it, let's do it again. A few years back, I'd posted an Asheville Tourists concept. Then I tweaked it. Then the Tourists changed to the moon logo shortly afterward. I'd thought about a revisit for a while, but it always got put on the backburner...until now. The distinguishing feature of the home and away jerseys is the stars & hibiscus patterned cuffs. The old tourist bear inspired a sunglasses cap on the previous set, and a revisit wouldn't be complete without borrowing the moon man's shades. Now, for what the people want. Oh yes...khaki pants. I went there. Granted, it's a bit difficult to think of the navy jersey as a Hawaiian shirt, given the lack of flowers, but the idea was there. Going with it is a navy version of the shades cap with a starred bill. The royal blue jersey...yeah, it's the more straight Hawaiian shirt, with flowers and stars, and the moon mixed in. Figured the rib-eating moon man would fit the mood of this jersey, so he adorns the left sleeve. Yell words, while I sue Tails for false advertising...you aint gonna need a Tailescope (or a telescope) for this one.
  3. Years ago, I was member of the Major League Hockey fantasy league. One member had a team that i designed the logo and the uniforms for the team when he was coming up with a name for the team. He decided to call them the 66ers for the fact Route 66 goes through Flagstaff. http://boards.sportslogos.net/topic/57624-name-the-flagstaff-franchise/ With all of the talk of the NHL expanding also it would be a safe bet that the AHL would also expand. Plus, having this year the AHL moving several teams out west to be closer to their parent clubs and a other NHL clubs moving their affiliates to them such as Columbus moving to Lake Erie Monsters. I thought of this old concept for a possible new AHL team to become the affiliate of the Arizona Coyotes. The Colors are to resemble the state flag of Arizona with the red being the Coyotes brick red and on the alternate jersey the sand from the Coyotes logo. The design pattern on the alternate is to pay homage to the Coyotes original uniforms when they moved but with a Navajo design influence which is also in the Inaugural Season patch on the jersey. The Secondary logo is of a meteor with the puck inside for the crater that is near Flagstaff that a meteor caused long ago. The Inaugural Season patch design as mentioned has a Navajo inspired shape with the moon representing the Coyotes from their logos, the road representing Route 66 with the team logo being the route sign, the mountain in the background is the San Francisco Peak nearby Flagstaff. I intend to post these on HJC in the future. Any and all input welcome. (the set on the ice background is my initial design in made. I posted the other jerseys as options to what i first made as possible replacements or additions)
  4. I am glad to see the return of an old IHL and AHL foe. But, I dont really care for how they colored the moose. I looks flat and dull needs a little to make it jump out like the old logo did. I made new uniforms for home, road, alt. I liked Manitoba's jerseys they had pre-edge template. Also, I made a variant on the Jets number to have a Moose flair with the antlers incoperated into the Jets font. (I did not do the player name font with the antlers though.) I created a shoulder patch with an M and antlers to mimic the main logo. I am open to any and all criticisms on this whether they are positive or negative. The CCM player pants and CCM helmet templates are my creation also. I have thought of uploadign them to a file site just have not done it yet. Thank you for your time. I more than likely will make some corrections of my own also to the shoulder logo

    Connecticut Tigers baseball

Earlier in the year, the CT Tigers rolled out a couple mascot logos that look like something straight outta Steamboat Willie. Naturally, I felt them concept worthy. Home and Away Didn't stray too far from RL for the homes, though I decided to take a stab at including a bit of orange. The grays are based on the 70s-80s Detroit roads. Alternate and BP The BP is based on an old Detroit BP jersey that was posted here once, and an Erie Seawolves concept (I forget his CCSLC handle, but I know who posted it) inspired the striped jersey. I simply expanded the theme to a probably oddball level.

    Daytona Cubs

I've been eyeing the D-Cubs since the long-overdue overhaul they did last year. Here goes nothin...home and away The home, just about the only difference from RL is the right sleeve patch being the surfing cub rather than the primary. The road, I decided to give it a bit of a different look, and traced a palm tree from the primary so as to put it on the left sleeve, kinda like the 70s Braves' feathers. Now here go the alts... You probably noticed the pinstriped alt cap. That came first, then I figured, why not make a blue jersey with powder blue pinstripes? Eh well, it'd be a conversation starter at least. Then, the vest. What can I say about it that it doesn't say by itself?
