  1. NBA Redesign Concept (Sixers 4/21)

As a Jazz fan who's not a huge fan of the current design (minus the City Edition jersey), I figured I would try my hand at redesigning the team. Changing the colors to dark purple, teal, and copper, the team resurrects a snowflake logo. The Association uniform is off-white, the Icon uniform purple, the Statement uniform teal, and the new City Edition uniform a gradient going from pewter blue to dark blue. C&C welcome!
  2. Fixing the Tennessee Titans

The new Tennessee Titans uniforms have been met mixed, mostly negative reviews. I've seen a lot of complaints over concepts - such as color balance and cohesion - as well as over specific details - such as no white helmet and the font selection. Also, a concerning amount of people think the new uniforms make them look like the Texans, Seahawks, and/or Patriots. I don't hate the re-design, but it could definitely use some polishing. As-is, it feels incomplete....but it does have some elements that can be salvaged. -Shifting the focus to navy is a welcomed change that creates a more aggressive look -Changing the shoulder yokes to silver eliminates large volumes of Columbia blue (primary color or not, this is a very good thing) -Injecting silver into the color palette helps tone things down while allowing accent colors to pop Personally, my biggest issue with the set is the aforementioned lack of coherency. It feels like three different teams of designers worked on it -- one on the helmet, one on the jersey, and one on the pants. This should obviously never be the case, so the main goal is to unify the three major pieces. Additionally, I want to clean things up just a bit. The two-tone silver looks muddled, the underarm color blocks feel cluttered, and none of the shapes flow along with one another. Anyways, here are my changes... Helmet - The navy shell with a silver facemask is sharp, but the flaming thumbtack logo must go. It's now replaced with a modified version of the team's 20th Anniversary Logo. The two-tone silver striping has been replaced with a solid red tapered stripe designed to mimic the plume of a titan's battle helmet. (The Nike-speak potential here is off the charts.) Jersey - The navy home and white away jerseys offer continuity with the team's historical jersey colors; however, I refuse to include a Columbia blue alternate because it's just a dreadful color. The shoulder yokes are alleviated of the two-tone silver treatment, though the general color balance remains largely unchanged. The only difference is the removal of the underarm color blocks, with the sleeve trim retaining Columbia blue in the form of the Greek striping pattern. The sharpness of the sword-inspired shape is gone, though, considering you can't wear swords on your shoulders....so instead the shape has been modified in reference to shoulder armor. (You know, something you can wear on your shoulders.) Finally, the font has been adjusted to the one that's been used across most of the team's social media platforms. Pants - The actual pants unveiled the other night are shockingly underwhelming -- the sword sheath idea is intriguing, but the pants complement precisely nothing else throughout the rest of the uniform set. Here, I aim for something simple and coherent that can be worn with any jersey without causing color and/or striping inconsistencies. Navy - Navy - Silver Navy - Navy - Navy Navy - White - Navy Navy - White - Silver Any and all comments and criticisms are greatly appreciated. Thanks!
  3. With the Titans releasing their new uniforms tonight, where do you all on the board rank the Nike/NFL uniform changes? Personally I think the Vikings have the best one out of the handful of teams, and goes as follows: 1. Vikings 2. Seahawks 3. Lions 4. Dolphins (First Change) 5. Tennessee (Based off the leaks) 6. Jaguars (First Change) 7. Browns 8. Tampa Bay Sorry if this post already exists somewhere or has already been done!
  4. Tennessee Titans Concept

Based on the leaks so far, I strongly dislike what I've seen from the Titans. It feels like too much of a shift and doesn't read as the Titans to me. The gray is pointless clutter and makes the set much more drab. The number font is hideous and overly designed. The underarm panels look like something out of 2002. Overall, the color balance is all over the place and there's generally no cohesion at all. I always thought the Titans needed incremental tweaks, not a complete overhaul. The flaming thumbtack is outdated but I really like the circle with the stars from the state flag. The pants are fantastic, however the modern helmet stripes clash with the traditional pants. I like the shoulder stripes and the sword shaped stripes on the new set are a cool evolution of that feature, it's just a shame that they're now gray. My set looks to streamline things a bit (consistent stripes, consistent number colors on the various jersey panels, updated word mark, logo, etc). I like the idea of a red Color Rush set. Navy pants are needless clutter given how fantastic their normal white and columbia blue pants are. I think I do prefer the Titans in white helmets, however, it makes too much sense to use columbia blue to distinguish themselves from all the other white helmet teams, and it still looks great. Of all the helmet choices, the rumored navy is the worst option. I emphasized navy and columbia blue with red used as small touches (swooshes, nameplates, helmet stars, part of the word mark, etc).
  5. The NFL (6/32; Bears added)

To kick this series off, I'm going with the Dolphins, Titans and Jaguars since those are the teams that will soon unveil new designs in the real world. (Please hold template requests, I will provide at end of the series in SVG format) THE NATIONAL FOOTBALL LEAGUE BY BRAVE-BIRD 08 MIAMI DOLPHINS For Miami I wanted to focus on using layers of white and dark grey to mimic an actual dolphin, while letting a more vibrant teal and shade of orange pop off the uniform. I've seen a lot of Miami concepts in the past use the sunburst as a focal point of the design, so I wanted to go in a different direction and use the swooping feel of the logo to tie the look together. The helmet is much more modern iteration, while the pants are intended to echo the feel of the helmet as well. ALTERNATES ONE | ALTERNATES TWO | ALTERNATES THREE Thanks for viewing! Next up: Tennessee Titans
  6. TITANS UNI SET MOCK UP

New to the forum, but I've been a lurker for a while now. Being that I am a Titans fan and that there has been quite a bit of talk about them and their new uniforms lately I figured I would give things a shot. This is not how I envision them to do things at all, but more like how I would do it i it were up to me. I did take a few design cues away from some of the sneak peaks though. Going off of there "Tradition Evolved" campaign motto, I did just that by merging a similar styling and color scheme with some modern updates. Let me know what you think. AWAY HOME COLOR RUSH

This is a big one. I've had the bits and pieces of this one working for two and half years and I finally feel ready enough to get this one out to the public. This project began when I wondered one day what would happen if Nike did something ludicrous and somehow managed to get apparel rights to every single FBS level team. Of course this is seemingly impossible in the real world, but it was fun to think about. Then I took it one step further. Not only would get every FBS football team, but if every FBS football team also had a Division 1 basketball, baseball and hockey team for Nike to get their hands on. So the goal here is one, to actually finish this idea, but more than that, is to see if I can create a unique identity for 130 some teams across 4 different sports. This means that some traditional looks will be changed slightly and some might change drastically. Nevertheless, I'm excited to get this off the ground and share it with you guys. Teams will be posted as I get them done and will be done in a random order I have created with some help from the internet and first up is the Ohio Bobcats of the MAC: (I also will create one of these cool team headers for every team). Ohio's sports have a rather laid back and simplistic look to them. Even with adidas/Russell at the helm of their apparel, they don't have too crazy of a look and I kept that in mind as I designed their uniforms for this. Keeping that in mind, I left their football uniforms pretty much the same as they have been the last couple years. Biggest change here is the addition of real pants stripes as opposed to no stripes or very short stripes. I limited black to an alternate set that would hopefully be worn separately, but in the current state of college football we all know that wouldn't happen. The hockey uniforms are very similar to how the football uniforms go. I did consider shoulder logos for them but I didn't keep them, as it just didn't feel right to me. Baseball uniforms again are very simple and consistent with the rest of the uniforms. Biggest thing here and across the board is that there is no longer a "grey away" designation. Unless a team has grey in their set, I won't be giving a team a grey uniform for baseball. Basketball is consistent with the rest. I didn't want to go full Celtics with Ohio, so the double stripe pattern is on the shoulders and the collar trim is a solid color. On the shorts the waistband is striped and the hem is a solid color. C&C is welcome as always. Given the larger nature of this thread, I'll try and get the next team up as soon as I can.
  8. MLB by NIKE

With my college hockey season winding down, I find that I once again have time to post stuff on here again. I've started a bunch of projects, but haven't had the time to get them on here until now. I've got a super massive project coming soon, but I wanted to get this one up and going before I consider starting that one. Enough with that though, lets dive in. I am aware Under Armour will be getting the MLB in 2019, replacing Majestic and Nike, but I really haven't done a baseball redesign series to date (i'm not considering my Pinstriping the MLB a "redesign series"). So I thought I'd give it a go. Now traditionalists be warned. This won't be a run of the mill white/grey/color uniform set for each team. Some teams will stay traditional in that sense, others will be a little off the board. Expect some colored pants. Sleeve stripes will be bigger for most, if not all teams. Traditions will be upheld for some. But that is enough my talking, I'll let the concepts do that instead. I'm going in alphabetical order of teams, starting in the AL. I don't really have a lot of complaints with the current state of Baltimore's uniforms. Hence why there isn't a whole lot changed. I did scrap the grey uniforms in this case. -Hats/Batting Helmets - I really really really am a sucker for white panel hats. However I am not a huge fan of the cartoon oriole on the front of the hat so I changed it to the O's logo. Black hat stays pretty much the same. But on the batting helmets I used the cartoon oriole. The O's logo just didn't look right on it. BP hat is orange with the cartoon on it, and it could be snuck into the rotation of hats. -Jerseys - Again, not much is different from what is currently used. Orange jersey becomes the new road jersey, and now has the Baltimore script on the chest. Black jersey gains some white detailing and is the new alternate. BP jersey I will have fun with for all the teams. Most teams will have a logo instead of script on them and will have more modern striping. In this case, two BP jerseys for the Orioles, both have the cartoon Oriole and truncated racing stripes. Also, just to be more modern, I added a chest number. -Pants - White pants only for the Orioles. I knocked around the idea of orange or black pants but found it didn't suit the look. Plus I didn't think they'd want to look like oranges running across the field since they've tried that before. C&C welcome as always!
  9. Okay so I am posting for the first time in about 7 months... back when i used to use paint to make concept jerseys.... I have gotten better at designing and I decided to put my skills to use on my favorite basketball team, the Oklahoma City Thunder. Unlike many, I have always loved the Thunder's colorway and most of their uniform sets. Especially the away uniform. Anyway, I always felt like there could be a little bit of flare added to their uniforms. The designs I created take inspiration from the current Nike sets that they have right now as well as looking past to retro 90s uniforms. Take a look. The uniforms go as followed: White Association uniform, blue Icon uniform, Sunset uniform, and Thunderstorm city uniform
  10. I'm not a big basketball guy (in fact, this is my first basketball concept ever), but I'm an Atlantan and very displeased with the Hawks uniforms. The shift to navy blue and red 10-15 years ago felt foreign (I know they had worn those colors before, but it was so long ago) but was at least relatively harmless. I was excited to see an emphasis put back on the Pac Man logo as they slowly reintroduced him. However, the way the redesign was executed left me with a bad taste in my mouth. The red was very prominent. That much was good. Navy blue was out; also good. In its place was a dark gray...not the familiar black, but better, nonetheless. Where it really fell apart was the hideous volt. What a terrible color that looks so out of place! I also realize the Hawks have used lime green before, but they hadn't used it paired with these new colors. The red, gray, and volt felt like a cheap knockoff version of the Hawks I grew up with. The Hawks have such great inspiration to pull from, and the current iteration with the feather pattern misses the mark. Overly detailed, poor color balance (can I say gaudy?), too trendy and already outdated. Definitely not "timeless." I wanted to come up with a design that feels familiar for the Hawks but pushes the needle a bit. The Dominique Wilkins era uniforms were near perfect for the time but don't quite translate to today's NBA. The Hawks need to emphasize red, white, and yellow. The current red and black sets are screaming for some white to balance it out because the volt makes it look dirty and dingy. Black should definitely be used sparingly and in this case, I relegated it only to an alternate uniform. It works because black is familiar for Atlanta, but leaves the main uniforms untouched. Those sets don't need any black at all. I took the forward looking graphic of the script and applied it throughout the uniform: the front and back number, as well as the NOB. I skipped name and number outlines in the interest of letting the design do the talking. It has a "loud" script so I wanted to keep the rest of the set fairly minimalistic. I originally had a contrasting collar and shoulder trim, but I got rid of those for the same reason. I created the new Nike template from scratch and if there's interest I may release it. Still playing around with it and optimizing it for use. It includes all the various seams and mesh panels. _________________________________________ TEMPLATE RELEASE I have tried to make this pretty user friendly. Just pay attention when you're changing the color of the uniform to also swap the inner garment color. There's a shadow layer and if you disable that layer's visibility, then you can click the inner garment color and swap that. I tweaked a couple things from my original design: got rid of the dashed stitching and just made it solid since it's hardly visible, anyways...added a jock tag, inner neck detailing, etc. The file is an Adobe Illustrator file (which I believe should also open and be compatible within Inkscape). https://drive.google.com/file/d/1qnKqVYduUtFGMPYpiAdCT93F1Dt7s5Y0/view?usp=sharing
  11. An Arizona Cardinals Concept

Its been a while since I've done a concept uniform on here, so I thought I would try and update my Arizona Cardinals. - Added a sandy tan color to accent the white and red instead of black on the uniforms. - Used a simple striping pattern across all three uniform pieces, I've been sick of the current piping and striping we currently have. - Made the red a little brighter and bolder than the current shade which is more like an actual cardinal in my opinion, not a huge change but still noticeable. - Thought about adding red pants, only for the away uniform, but I decided to keep it a non alternate concept to start. - Credit to Logan Weaver for the template! 12. NBA Changes 2018-19

I guess we're starting to look forward to the 2018-19 season with the recent news of the Charlotte Hornets wearing the white version of their classic throwbacks next year. Just on a side note, it'll be interesting to see if the Hornets follow that up in 2019-20 with their purple throwback jerseys? Obviously that's just speculation. As far as other changes at this point, I am not sure if we've heard anything else. I would assume more teams will wear classic throwbacks and we'll see a new wave of community jerseys since apparently those will be a yearly change for some if not all teams?
  13. PK80 College Football

Uniforms created for a hypothetical football version of the PK80 basketball tournament. Looks were built out based on the basketball uniforms worn by each team in this year's tournament. Oklahoma has moved to Jordan brand, as the games would take place next season. Like this year's iteration of the PK80, the use of black is prominent and iridescent highlights are used to accent footwear, gloves and event branding. Individual team concepts coming next
  14. Georgia Bulldogs Concept

Here is a concept I made based off of Georgia's 1980 period uniforms. I liked what Clemson did a year ago by modernizing their uniforms from their national championship years so that's what . I wanted to do with my UGA concept. Would love some feedback as this is my first time ever messing with this kind of stuff on photoshop.
  15. NHL By Nike: 12/30 COLUMBUS

Hey folks! So this will be my first series here in about six months. I haven't been creating concepts as much during the summer, but now that hockey's back, I figured it was time to continue. This series is focused on the 2023-24 NHL season, the year after Adidas' jersey contract expires. With Adidas not willing to extend their contract, Nike becomes the official NHL uniform supplier. Along with the switch, the NHL decides to lose the traditional home/away jerseys and replace them with a new system that mimics the NBA's new 4-jersey system. Each team will now have four jerseys to choose from for each game: FREEZE: The team's white jersey. CLASH: The team's colored jersey that closely resembles the FREEZE uniform. STORM: This will be the team's alternate jersey, using a dark color, and completely lacking white. PRIDE: This jersey can be any color. It reflects both the history of the city and of the team itself. The home team will choose the jersey they want to wear, and the away team will select one that doesn't closely match that of the home team. With that in mind, here is the first team! **************** CALGARY FLAMES FREEZE/CLASH: These uniforms bear a striping pattern similar to their alternate jersey from 2013-16 seasons, while the logo remains the same. The number font is also changed. ALTERNATE: The striping is similar to Calgary's early uniforms. For the first time since 2006, the team will have a black jersey. PRIDE: The overall design is based of of the WHA Calgary Cowboys' uniform, though it doesn't match completely. Thoughts? Comments? Suggestions? Leave it below!
  16. I'm doing a sweep through of the NFL and making adjustments where I see fit to the existing uniforms. Some teams may get substantial redesigns, and some teams may receive minor tweaks. I do not see a need to limit the jersey combinations, so many teams will have alternates and throwbacks, or potentially even multiple throwbacks. I will however, maintain the single helmet shell rule. So without further adeu, I'm starting off with the Giants.
  17. Nike NFL Jersey concepts

Hi all, I got bored one-day and decided to use Nike's teambuilder website to re-design some NFL uniforms Up first: The Carolina Panthers I like Carolina's design right now. Simple and clean. I wanted to keep that going and add a little to it. The home jerseys stay black with white numbers and a light blue outline. However I added the Panthers across front in light blue and put some light blue sleeves on it. Also a light blue/white stripe across the middle. The away jersey follows the same design as the home jersey with a some color swaps to fit the jersey. The alt light-blue jersey also works as the color rush jersey. Let me know what you guys think! Next up will be the Arizona Cardinals

  19. THEREALPEPMAN'S NIKE X NBA TEMPLATE

Hello folks! I would like to share a uniform template I have created. It’s called the Nike NBA Aeroswift Uniform Template. It’s in Adobe Photoshop. On that document, I have created every element Nike and sports design enthusiasts can come up (ex. NBA logo placements, necklines, etc.). Play around with what I made there as you can turn them on or off on the Layers portion of the program. Download it on the link below this text. And please credit me if you’ll use my template for your future projects. Please and thank you. =D TEMPLATE (EDITED 08/30/17) SOURCE IMAGES (CTO) -TheRealPepman
  20. So with the recent NBA releases,I had some ideas... and decided to translate them into concepts. Some stuff will remain intact: Nike Swoosh to stay,4 uniform format as well, although I'll increase the throwbacks to 10. Ads,however, are not welcome in this project; I don't like them (the way they are, they're merely a superflous gimmick, tbh) Teams that comprised the playoffs will go first, then everyone else based on standings. I'll alternate between the Western and Eastern conferences,Western first since the champions are from there. So,let's start with the 2016/17 champs: the Golden State Warriors The "Association" and "Icon" uniform are based off their look from the first half of the 1990s. These two feature a sublimated "bridge" graphic on the bottom left, taken from the primary logo. The slate grey "athlete's mindset" uniform has the same design, albeit printed in yellow/blue,while the yellow "community" uniform is a simplification of their current look + bit of a fauxback. Up next: I'll try to fix the broken new Cavaliers unis...

Well its confirmed the numbers aren't huge. Actually looks really nice.
