  1. Portland Wolves Baseball

In my graphic design class, we got to do a choice project so I decided to create a baseball team. I just want to post it on here and get some feedback but won't be updating it due to me not having the correct files at my house. So without further ado: *The gray and white pants indicate they can be worn home or away
  2. Portland Steel Identity Update

Hola everyone! I've been roaming around the Creamer boards for a little bit to see all the great concepts that everyone is putting out. I thought I'd get in on the action around here and post my first ever concept here on the Creamer boards. I decided to update the Portland Steel AFL team brand and overall design aesthetic. I wasn't too keen on the logo they unveiled a few months ago and thought that it could use some work. I ditched the knight icon for something a bit more appropriate, using instead an actual steel working illustration. I did however like the original colors so I didn't deviate far from that combo. Anywho, comments are welcomed and appreciated. If you'd like to see more goodies from this project, check out the full presentation HERE
  3. Portland Sawbucks NHL

Portland is always at least mentioned when discussing NHL relocation. It's a decent market in the desirable U.S. Pacific Northwest region. It has an NHL-ready venue (the Moda Center). NHL aspirations pretty much hinge on the whim of Moda and NBA Trailblazers' owner Paul Allen. Although he's a "basketball guy", Mr. Allen reportedly put in a bid for the NHL's Coyotes in 2013, which never transpired. So, in regards to an NHL franchise landing in Portland...you never know...maybe. Based on the (slim) possibility, I gave a Portland concept a go. The Inspiration I built this identity around 3 elements of Portland culture/history... - the quirky, iconic Portland "White Stag" sign, featuring a stylized deer/stag. - Plaid. I think of plaid when I think of Portland. I don't know why...perhaps because of the Grunge scene, or the lumberjack tradition. - the lumber industry- an important part of Portland's history. There's a large concrete statue of Paul Bunyan (looking more like Alley-Oop) somewhere in the city...
  4. Portland Cascades NHL Expansion

My newest NHL Expansion concept is a truly unique name, at least to the best of my knowledge it is. I wanted to make a Portland team and upon researching Portland, I saw that some of the first inhabitants of the area were the Cascade Indians. So was created the Portland Cascades. The primary logo is a C with waterfalls, or cascades, streaming down. I know it may be a little busy, but I freehanded the waterfalls, so it won't be perfect. I wanted to incorporate the native part of the name so with the alternate, I created an arrowhead with rivers running through it. The rivers form the shape of a rose, to represent Portland as the Rose City. The team colours are based from the Portland flag. The green and yellow are primary, while the blue is kind of an accent colour, plus, the water is blue. Good C&C is appreciated. Just saying, this is my first completely original concepts. I freehanded the waterfalls and rivers and arrowhead, so if its not perfect, its because I'm not the best at drawing. Also, just in case TRoyConcepts, I think is his username, shows up, this concept isn't for real use. It's purely for myself and whoever wants to look at it.
  5. Hello everyone, I have a big project for you that i've been working one for a while. I made concepts for 6 new possible NHL teams. 1. Qu├ębec Nordiques 2. Portlans Mountaineers 3. Hamilton Beasts 4. Seattle Sasquatch 5. Halifax Schooners 6. Las Vegas Silver Bullets (hopefully there isn't any controversy with gun control and all that stuff) I am Willing to do 2 more teams with your suggestions! This is all for fun, just to see what the brands would look like. Here is a teaser of every team, and I'll post them one by one. Which team are you most excited for? I'll post the one with the most buzz first!
  6. Who wants an MLB team?

No I'm not Regis Philbin, but let's play anyway. We start off with this gem out of Tampa. http://hardballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/10/25/report-rays-owner-stuart-sternberg-has-discussed-moving-the-team-to-montreal/
  7. Portland 2 Concept

I posted this in the discussion of the new Timbers 2 USL team. I didn't care for their effort, so I took the liberty to quickly do what I would have done, if tasked. Mind you this is a first (maybe only, who knows) draft. The 2 weight is wonky because, well quite frankly i stretched it to see fit. It probably needs some adjustment. Otherwise, this seems like a more appropriate approach to a team named Timbers 2, rather than just throwing a little subscript 2. Cheers. In comparison, this is what was released.
  8. PCHA Modernization

This is my attempt at modernizing the PCHA. I initially was just going to do a seattle metropolitans concept but since it seems like everyone is doing one, I decided to go a little bit further. The full project can be viewed here. First I updated the league logo. I wanted to retain the feel of the logo, its simplicity and black and white color scheme, while brining it into the 21st century. Next up are the Portland Rosebuds This may be one of my favorite concepts i've ever done, im extremely happy with how it came out. I really wanted to make the "rosebuds" intimidating. Primary Logo Secondary Logo Alt Logo Home Uni Away Uni Alt Uni C&C appreciated
  9. Wolfpack logo

This is an update to a team I've been working with for awhile. The original logo turned out pretty neat, but looked more like an illustration than a logo. My main objective with this redo was to create something simple and introduce secondary logos to my league work. I feel like my design skill is still evolving, so I'd like to affirm that on the forum:) I'm set on the colors, but I'm open to c&c on the logos.
