  1. Does anyone happen to have or know where I can get the new Leafs font that's on their new jerseys? I've been looking for it but I'm having no luck I'm looking to make a poster in photoshop with the back names and numbers but like I said I can't find the font. Any help would be greatly appreciated
  2. I was wondering if anyone out there could help me identify the fonts used in the Toronto St. Pats logo as I'm looking to make a higher resolution version. Any help is appreciated.
  3. Hello anyone, I was wondering if anyone out there has the font the Blue Jays use (preferably the one that has the pointy edges) as I'm working on a photoshop project and I planned on using the font but all I can find is the back of jersey font and thats your run of the mill block font. I'm looking for the one on the front of the jerseys and numbers with the double lines.
  4. Hey all! So this is the design of the Toronto Maple Leafs alternate jersey that I did for the latest hockeyjerseyconcepts.com contest. I explained my reasoning behind the choices on the logo, but if anyone has any questions I am happy to answer them. For reference these are the University of Toronto logo and Toronto Arenas logo that I mentioned in the image, and the 1934-37 jersey that was mentioned. I am pretty happy with how this turned out, but as always comments, questions, and critiques are always welcome! Thanks in advanced.
  5. Six months after the unveiling of the new Maple Leafs uniform, I'm used to the mega-thick stripe on the hem, but I actually don't like the classic double stripes on the arms. A great logo like this needs a bold design to compliment it, so I decided to make my fix. The Arenas' 4-stripe barberpole adjusted to fit the thick hem stripe replaces the double stripe, while on the home the stripe is lowered to throwback to the Arenas and form a T with the new pants. The stripe is kept where it is on the away, so the negative white space on the hem connects with the pants. The pants themselves are simple. so to go with the stripe I just put the simple Arenas' T. To show the full uniform and the T on the pants, I used one of JCRGraphix's great templates. C&C Appreciated!
  6. Roller Hockey International was a league that lasted 6 years from 1993-1999, and never had good attendance, merchandise sales, or popularity. One of the founding members of that league was the Toronto Planets, who had an awful logo, and only lasted one year. HockeyJerseyConcepts.com is having a redesign project, and the goal is to redesign an RHI team. I took a shot at redesigning the Toronto Planets, and I'd like to get a little feedback before I send it in. So without further ado, here's the project. Credit to @McElroy19 and MockupArena.com for the jersey template.
  7. World Cup of Hockey Concepts I made these about a year ago for a design contest on HockeyJerseyConcepts.com and since the world cup logos and jerseys were released last night I thought it might be fun to revisit them now. Now I will be the first to admit, some of these are crap. This was one of my first ventures into Photoshop and also one of the first times I've made a logo, so please keep that in mind when you are criticizing them. I may go back and do the US jersey again without the sash just for the hell of it so keep and eye out for that. Other than that, enjoy my concepts from last year and let me know what you think. #MakeDonaldDrumpfAgain (why not)
  8. I decided to continue my previous Hybrid Logo Series on my hometown team, Toronto Raptors. Here are all 29 NBA teams mashed-up as a Raptors logo. You can catch a closer look via my instagram @mmmonggg or website johnmong.com. LET'S GO RAPTORS
  9. Here are some designs I've created for a possible Winter Classic in Toronto. Here's the event logos... Now on to the team logos... The Maple Leafs... And the Rangers... For the Maple Leafs logo, I combined their shoulder logo from the 1990's and an updated Toronto Arenas logo. As far as the Rangers, I took their mark from 1947-1953 and tweaked the colors. Here's the uniforms for both teams (outfitted with Adidas jerseys, not Reebok). And, of course, you can't forget the field. I've heard from sources that BMO Field (Toronto FC) is more likely than the Rodgers Centre, so I based my design on that. That's all! Let me know what you think.
  10. The Maple Leafs are getting a new logo for next season. Next season will be year 100 in the NHL for the Leafs. A wordless version of the logo has been seen at the ACC lately.
  11. As usual, feel free to critique this latest sports concept. On a special note, this project came about due to the feedback of the previous project I've worked on these very forums. The project in question? Miami SC/96 - MLS Design. Although I decided to continue with a turtle theme, I've decided to change the sport to baseball rather than work on another soccer team. Also, while I'll continue to work on the details for this personal project, the logo is for the most part finished since I'll be working on other art projects in the future.
  12. For this first attempt at a concept I wanted to do something that most likely won't happen. I'm labeling it as a Modern Vintage set. After watching the All-Star game I really liked the name bar connecting to the back rather than just a nameplate, so I executed that with a whole set. I think the home dark gives a more modern feel with no hem but still a "chest" stripe. Then adding a hem to the white jersey i felt gave it more "beef" and gave a more vintage feel. Tell me what you think about this first one. Hate it? Like it? Minor alterations? Or just scrap the whole idea?
  13. I wanted to wait until the Maple Leafs revealed their logo before making a concept for it. The jerseys are based off the ones they wore for a while in the 30's, 40's, and the 50's. An alternate(s) will come soon. Edit: 100TH POST!!!!!
  14. The Leafs finally unveiled their nice new logo yesterday. Now the speculation begins as to what the jerseys will look like. I figured they will be based on a classic set, but possibly with a twist. So I came up with this interpretation. What do you think?
  15. Hey guys, this is the first sports concept I've ever done outside of racing liveries. As a Leaf fan, I've always been curious about when they would change the long standing "Ballard Leaf". With such a long history, and the many changes their logo has gone through, it's only fitting that the 100th anniversary of the franchise gets a new logo that ties all* of the designs of the past into one, while still looking modern. (*Well, maybe not all, you will notice the lack of the colour green in this concept.) I'm really pleased with how this turned out, so I hope you like it: As a bonus, I did a quick chop of a few images of the jersey on current photos to give a better idea of how it looks in action: Let me know what you think!
  16. Alright, as we all know, the Maple Leafs are getting a new logo and jerseys next season. Based on the hints dropped by merchandise, marketing, and CCSLN, I've made a few concepts that represent what I'd like to see the Leafs wear. Let me know what you think of the jerseys and logos!
  17. does anyone know what logo this is? I would love to figure out how old this hat is. i thought it was part of the marlboro's / Leafs franchises but couldn't find it anywhere
  18. Hey folks, I was wondering if you guys would be interesting in holding our own little throwdown and see who comes up with the best toronto maple leafs update(as they recently announced that they would be updating the logo next year). May the best designer win?
  19. As I am sure many people have since the Chris Creamer broke the news of the Maple Leafs redesign, I took a stab at a new look for the Leafs. The design which I made is completely different than anything the Leafs have ever worn before, but still looks classic, although not in the traditional sense. I also threw together a basic centennial patch to go along with the jerseys. As always, comments and criticisms are always welcome!
  20. Hey guys, thought I'd do a redesign for an old Toronto based team, the Toronto Blizzard. They had a few different crests throughout the years, all of which were god-awful, and theres been rumours of a second team in toronto, so I thought this was a natural choice. Thanks for the feedback as always
  21. This upcoming season's All-Star Game is set to take place in Toronto. The Toronto Raptors just underwent a massive re-brand and it is safe to say that most feel it is a downgrade from what they had before. However, they might be able to make it up if the All-Star Jerseys come out nice. Since they have not yet been released, there is no telling what the final product will truly look like. That is where my concepts come in. I have provided a concept as to what I feel what be a nice design for the All-Star Game. The concept that I have is based on jerseys that the Toronto Raptors have sported in the past. The East will wear white since Toronto falls in the Eastern Conference and in Purple (yes, purple makes an appearance) are the Western All Stars. There are also certain elements that I will explain in further detail. Where to start, the overall concept has some designs that are seen on other All Star jerseys such as the team logo and the player's number. The front of each jersey states EAST or WEST depending on where the player plays. The All-Star Logo for Toronto appears on the player's left shoulder and the year "2016" appears above the EAST/WEST. The sides of the jersey feature the familiar design that the Raptors currently use with the silver bars. On the back is where things start to get a little bit interesting. On the back of the collar is a feature new to All-Star jerseys, a little golden strip that states the amount of All-Star appearance that the player has made. This same golden strip appears on the jerseys of teams who have won championships and it reads how many that that certain team has won. Taking the place of the normal NBA logo, one of the alternate logos made for the Toronto All-Star game, a Maple leaf with the NBA logo inside of a star will be placed. Another feature that appears on the concept is that like last year's All-Star jerseys, the player's full name will appear above the number. Appearing below the number is the logo of the team that the player plays for in the NBA. The final feature appears on the back of the shorts, and it is a small phrase that I thought would be cool for an All-Star game up North without saying WE THE NORTH. The phrase is NORTH NATION and I think that it is neutral enough for the All-Star game. That concludes my concept for the All-Star jerseys for 2016 Toronto. I know that they are not perfect and I appreciate it when people point out things that can be improved. C & C appreciated!
  22. This can go on all sports, but right now in the NBA I have to say the Rockets, Jazz, and Thunder are the teams most in need. In the NFL the Bucs and the Jags need to scratch the Nike treatment, and in baseball the only team that really catches me are the Rockies. But the worst team in all "4 major sports" IMO is the Aneheim Ducks.
  23. Following the Toronto Raptors' rebrand, I thought I would have a go at tinkering with their court and offer up a couple of concepts.
  24. With all the talk about the new Raptors logo coming out soon... I wanted to play around with a different way to use the Raptor in a circular logo. I thought having the Raptor incorporated into a basketball was kinda cool.
  25. Although I first posted the Boson/New England Hybrid logos it all started off the with my hometown, Toronto. I needed/still needed to tweak of the logos but here they are anyway. Toronto Raptors (Blue Jays) Hybrid Logo. I red did the font and use the Blue Jays logos clean line for inspiration but still can't not totally happy with it. I kept the original Raptors colours but this logo also looks good with the Blue Jays colours (below). This one is still a work in progress. I've been having a hard time getting this one jusssst right. Thoughts? Here's the logo in the Blue Jays colours with a different mouth. Which colour way do you like best? Toronto Blue Jays (Raptors) Hybrid Logo. \ This is my personal favourite. Using the original Raptors logo as inspiration by keeping font, layout, the legs and head position and making The Blue Jay hold a baseball and wear a baseball uniform. I kept the Jay's colours minus the red. Toronto Maple Leafs (Argonauts) Hybrid Logo. As dull as the Argos and Leafs logos are I did have to do something. Here I used the current Argo's logo, changed the "A" to a "L" and added maples leaves to the border of the shield. Toronto Argos (Maple Leafs) Hybrid Logo. I didn't have much to work with the Leafs logo. I re-did the entire font since its not available anywhere to download. I turned the Leaf into a "A" and kept the side of the leaf design so it didn't just look like a boring "A". Toronto Maple Leafs (Argos Classic Logo) I prefer the old Argos logo to the current one so I had to do another Maple Leafs Hybrid Logo based on the old one. Instead of the Argo I replaced it with a hockey player holding a hockey stick and a shield (couldn't think of anything hockey-ish to replace the shield). The helmet is changed to a hockey helmet with a leaf branded on it. Stuck with the old Argo colours. The line work needs to be cleaned up a bit. Thoughts, praise and criticism is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
