  1. New York Giants\Rangers Uniforms

Dear Admins? I am not sure if this is where I can request and update of these two teams but most of the other team pages are complete with their uniform history on this site. For The Giants all uniforms are missing from 1925-2004 as well and the alternative uniforms. I have some of these if you need any help with this. For The Rangers all uniforms are missing from 1926-1975 as well the alternative uniforms and the special event uniforms. Again I have some of these if you need any help with this. Thank you, Mike
  2. The Cincinnati Reds have worn their current set since 2007, and while it is an improvement over the BFBS era of 1999-2006, I have never been a fan of the black-billed road caps and gimmicky font. Is it time for a change? If so, which direction should they go? I will forever be a fan of the simple yet elegant set of 1968-71, and I'd love to see it return. I've said it before, but if they had just kept that look from that point forward, they would be considered unchangeable classics along with teams like the Dodgers, Yankees, and Cardinals. While I loved the pullovers and elastic waistbands as a kid in the 1970s, I now regret that the greatest seasons in the history of the franchise happened in those, rather than the more traditional set that proceeded them. As for the current set, they have lasted longer than most in the history of the franchise. Here's a rundown of their previous looks dating back to 1939, ordered by length of tenure: 1972 - 1992 (21 seasons) -- Pants leg stripe and second red sleeve stripe added 1988-92 1939 - 1955 (17 seasons) -- Blue highlights 1939-46, Red highlights 1947-55 2007 - Present (12 Seasons) 1999 - 2006 (8 seasons) 1993 - 1998 (6 Seasons) 1961 - 1966 (6 Seasons) 1956 - 1960 (5 Seasons) 1967 - 1971 (4 Seasons) -- Pinstripes on home uniform for 1967 season only
  3. Finally got some time to mess around with these hockey uniform templates. I thought I'd try doing hockey uniform versions of the 4 final teams in the NFL playoffs. Never did a mash up before so thought I'd try it out. Wanted to see what the thoughts were. It's the Patriots, Jaguars, Vikings and Eagles. I took various parts of the design from elements of the football uniform, IE: Pant shell stripes from pants, socks from socks or sleeve striping and jersey elements influenced by the elements on the football jerseys. Really enjoyed doing these and experimenting a bit. I didn't change/adjust any of the team logos. I just used the versions that the teams use in the NFL. Hopefully this works.
  4. On April 21, 2001 at the conclusion of the first of that American staple we call "The Big Game at the End", as we watched the Xtreme lift that big X over their heads, we thought that the XFL would be taken away from us forever. But apparently, there are rumblings that the X Football League might be fixin' to make a comeback! Now if that's true, which I hope it is, first of all I'll be tuning in for sure, and second of all they're gonna have to tone down the 2001 more than a few notches. Especially with NFL ratings in steep decline this season, this is the perfect time for Vince McMahon to swoop in and create the Anti-NFL, or the Xtra-Fun League, if you will. But image is everything. And safety, safety's probably in there somewhere too. We'll see. So I want to get way out ahead of the rumors and set up what I think would be a fitting return for the XFL 18 years later. I'm not gonna quibble over the actual rulebook, I'll let them figure that out, but I do know what I'd like to see design wise. Here are my design rules: 1. There are no rules! Actually, there are a few. They're right here. 2. No white allowed. Off-white is allowed in small doses, as well as silver, but stark white is not allowed on Logos, Uniforms, or Merchandise of any kind. 3. Helmets are a canvas. No more small, tame, rinky-dink helmet logos. Helmets should be loud and expressive of a team's design, serving as the centerpiece of their uniform. 4. 3 logos per team, no more and no less. They are as follows; Insignia: main logo, Proxy: secondary, Character: letter logo 5. 3 uniforms per team, no more and no less. They are as follows; Base: worn at home, Clash: worn on the road, Army: outside the box third jersey worn at home. 6. Unique NOBs are still allowed, but have to be approved before being applied to jersey. So there you have 'em, my official design rules for the XFL! I'll be following these closely for all eight teams (more on teams ahead). The New Official Logos of the XFL The original XFL logo was rushed and horrible, so I wanted to make a logo that would completely change people's view of the league. Modernized, but as no nonsense as always. This was my creative process, pardon the roughness. Early thoughts were that I'd like to include a lightning bolt in the X or make the X from negative space, but I ended up choosing something closest to the lowest logo on the center left because I liked the unique shape and inclusion of a football. After some retooling, I ended up with a result I'm really happy with that includes an Insignia, Proxy, and Character logo for the league. The Insignia uses a combo football/shield shape with half of the X made by stitches; football or otherwise. Teams Here's the thing, I don't know the teams yet. I know the cities, but I don't know the teams. The reason being this is going to be a step-by-step project so I'll be including my entire process, part of which is choosing the names of all 8 teams. I'd love to hear any names you can come up with as well! Here are the eight locations: Boston (new) Chicago Detroit (new) Las Vegas California New York St. Louis (new) Texas (new) So there it is, The new XFL! What do you think of the idea, setup, and first trio of logos? Your feedback is incredibly important to me, so don't hold back with the C&C! Thanks guys, and stay tuned for Boston!
  5. Hello! In this topic I will post the concepts of football shirts I am making. I thought it was better to make a topic for all football shirts than to create one for each league, but I'm going to post concepts here for clubs around the world! If you want to see my creative process, and see some posts ahead of time, follow me at instagram.com/donelece. 6. Hello everybody! After about 2 months of not posting, I'm back! I have looked through a lot of concepts trying to find the perfect basketball concepts for college, I have not found it. I thought I can be the first big College Basketball Uniform thread. Credit to @CAB for his good designs for the teams he did, and SportsFontDatabase. Credit to ScottySprings with the template that I used. I will be doing the power 5 and the Big East. I will be doing the good teams too but not their whole conference. After all of my teams, I may do requests. C&C is always appreiated! You will notice things about this thread: 1. Most of the uniforms are the ones that the currently have, it is very hard to change the uniforms that they have. 2. I have put the sponser on the right side of the uniforms. 3. I used apps on all of the uniforms, some may be bad quality. 4. I have adjusted all teams to fit the templates I used. 5. After I finish ALL of the uniforms that I plan to do, I will be taking requests! If you would like a special uniform for a team that I did, or if you want another team, comment when I am done! 8. NBA Changes 2018-19

I guess we're starting to look forward to the 2018-19 season with the recent news of the Charlotte Hornets wearing the white version of their classic throwbacks next year. Just on a side note, it'll be interesting to see if the Hornets follow that up in 2019-20 with their purple throwback jerseys? Obviously that's just speculation. As far as other changes at this point, I am not sure if we've heard anything else. I would assume more teams will wear classic throwbacks and we'll see a new wave of community jerseys since apparently those will be a yearly change for some if not all teams?
  9. USC Facemask & Jersey

Two questions after watching last night's Pac 12 Championship: 1. What is the color of USC's facemasks & what is the story behind them? They used to be gray, right? Now they're almost like some sort of clay/pink? 2. Why do USC jerseys look like they are made of Saran Wrap?
  10. I believe Gupti first brought this news in the 2017 NFL thread. Credit to him for putting it here first. I have just typed it up and included a few links to Twitter threads. According to Twitter account @madebytim, the Jacksonville Jaguars will be changing uniforms next offseason. The current talk is that this information is being disseminated during stadium tours, although there is no current official word. This is the 5th year of the current set so a change is possible. A quick rundown of the rumors indicate that Tom Coughlin has some significant input into the process, with the knowledge that he wants something "more traditional," does not like the emphasis on the gold and wants more teal in the design, and that this will be a complete change of the look. There are quite possibly some elements that could stay (the current away uniform is a pretty incredible update of the classic away uniform), including the "JAGS shield." One thing that is pretty much a sure change is the helmet. Both Tim of the @madebytim Twitter and Alfie Crow of Big Cat Country, the Jags' SB Nation site, have said they were sitting on the news. Link: https://twitter.com/MadeByTim/status/913435220334010369 Initial thread here: https://twitter.com/MadeByTim/status/913431383426699264 A bit more from London trip here: https://twitter.com/MadeByTim/status/913433955612991488 Most of the info can be found by clicking around that Twitter account. Again, nothing official but exciting to get rid of that helmet.
  11. (Updated) I have updated the main post so the finalized renderings are seen first. (Still debating over final numbers. Both based off current Eagles font, but modified) Here is the remainder of the blog for how the above were created. Look through and comment I will update the finals if suggestions and changes are warranted. **** ORIGINAL POST BELOW ***** Okay, I've heard lots of talk about modernizing a throwback classic Eagles uniform but haven't seen any good renderings for what the single vision is for this. So, I took the time and created a one. There is too much discussion to me about "Kelly Green". It's more than that. It's bringing back tradition and having an identity that the loyal fan base can relate to. Lots of Kelly Green advocates seem to just want the "old" back. And this annoys the Millennials who don't care about the past...preferring cool. I just want green back (not some hipster made up color) and would love to see a return of silver. To me, the Eagles' colors should be green, silver and white. Agree??? I feel these would be some of the best uniforms in football...home or away. Your input is appreciated to fine tune them. Notes: Green - Not Kelly (50/60s), and not as dark as 80's. Hopefully modernly in between (jersey would have modern shiny shoulder/chest) Silver - The silver has a slight green tint to make it unique (pants would be shiny material) No black - removed from wing logo (any black seen is outline of drawings only) Facemask - Gray, not shiny silver Concept - Closest is Vick era throwback 50's (with shoulder stripes everyone comments on), mixed with the 80's (without overdoing the stripes), and utilizing modern helmet wing and materials
  12. Uniform concept I made when I was 8

Recently we moved my Mom out of her house, and in the basement I found an old army locker I had squirreled away, with a few childhood treasures. Along with some awesome old sports magazines, and some hand painted action figures was a stack of drawings. They were in surprisingly good shape for being as much as 45 years old... probably because they were stacked so tight, and my parents' religious use of a dehumidifier. They ranged from probably age 5 to age 14, mostly superheroes, but as I got older, a few football uniform designs started creeping in. This one was the oldest; I actually remember making this. I was probably 8, maybe 9... early 70's. I had been given an amazing set of markers... red, yellow, light blue, royal blue, pink, dark green, and black. At the time, I drew most every in pencil and went over it with a black ball point pen, then colored it in. I remember wanting to use as many colors as possible, but I couldn't get the green in. What I was really fascinated by is how much the set up looks like my current template I use today, and how I had already become a crazy stickler for matching stripes. Naturally, I decided to put it on an updated template; I tried my best to stick as close as possible to my 8 year old design... no "fixing". (The exceptions being the added "W" on the logo... I mean, come on!, and the addition of a road jersey, which I don't think at the time I bothered with.) There were other uniforms in there... for the most part, I started out inventing my own teams, but later I had a bunch of new designs for the Minnesota Vikings. Apparently at the time, I was very interested in adding a lot of yellow/gold to the Vikings. Anyway, I hope some of you get a kick out of this. I had a lot of fun making it. (Both times!) And if the Kansas Jayhawks break out something similar, I'm suing!
  13. FBS Concept Uniforms

Over time, I have been working on concept uniforms for all 130 FBS football teams. I did the universities that are currently planning on staying or joining the FBS level. My designs were intended to be very unique and creative. I have had a lot of fun during this designing process while creating new uniform ideas. I will start uploading the uniforms for each team in alphabetical order. Let me know what you guys think and which ones are your favorites. Hope you enjoy!

  17. Aaron Dodson from The Undefeated listed The 30 Best NBA Throwback Jerseys is response to Nike's announcement that eight teams will be wearing a Classic Edition uniform (READ: Throwback) this upcoming year. There's a lot to be said about Dodson's list, which needless to say, I don't agree with. So I thought I'd share ONE throwback for each 30 teams that I'd love to see worn. This isn't necessarily the best designed throwback from their team history, but more back to an era relatable to the fans and their history. Also, in the spirit of the NBA going with more Color vs. Color match ups, I decided to go with colored jerseys, especially since the Association Edition (READ: Home Uniform) will presumably be the only white jersey in team's collections. Anyways, here is my list. I'd love to see everyone else's opinions on what throwbacks you'd like your favorite team to sport next year or near future ...
  18. Hello everyone. I am very excited for the NBA to make the move over to Nike this upcoming season. And according to Nike, 8 teams will have throwback uniforms this year. I wanted to take a shot at some throwbacks, but I also wanted to modernize them. I will be posting uniforms for all 30 NBA teams, and maybe the Supersonics/All-Star teams. For uniform references, I used this thread by @eibram . First up,the Atlanta Hawks. Atlanta Hawks For the Hawks, I used a combination of their current color scheme/uniforms, and their Dominique Wilkins-era uniforms. Please leave CC. Next up: Boston Celtics.
  19. Overall, I'd say that the transition from Reebok to Adidas has been positive for most teams in the NHL. But some teams took a step backwards...so here is my attempt to fix their errs. First up: Nashville What they unveiled: Too minimized for my liking. Here's my take: C&C appreciated. I probably won't get to every single team in the league, most likely just a handful of them that actually need changes to perfect their current sets. Buffalo is next!

  21. I made a Dallas Cowboys uniforms that make them look unique and entertaining. introducing the Elite Dallas Cowboys Uniforms. So what i did was found some designs on the internet trying to figure out what designs to use on the uniform well here is what i did. 1: i use the double Star design on the shoulders adding the numbers and the Nike logo to make it look good 2: the pants design is too boring so i added a design that will make it look unique. 3: i added the design from captain america so it represents Americas team. 4: i added a side design on the jersey so it looked nice. 5: the helmet has a bigger star and instead of a line i added a sharp spike to make it look good. here is a show case of the uniforms Uniform Template Photo Realistic
  22. This is my first project of this sorts as I've only had PS for about 6 months. however, I've also been into the logos, designs, etc of basketball teams, so i decided to create redesign the entire NBA. This series will include some teams getting full updates, some getting minor tweaks, and some getting an entirely new identities. There will also be a few expansion teams. C&C IS definitely appreciated as this is my first project and i would like to know what i can work on! On to the first Concept. DETROIT PISTONS I wanted to keep this clean and sharp, but still give them something to make them unique. the two tone was in part inspired by the raptors early 2000's purple/black jerseys (Not the recent USA olympic jerseys, although i now realize there are several similarities.) i was never a big fan of their most recent word mark, as its too bubbly, so i went in the direction of a sharper font. ATLANTA HAWKS I haven't particularly liked any hawks jerseys since the classic Dominique era jerseys, so i considering using those to influence my new ones. however, i felt the hawks needed something more refreshing, so i went away with the red and yellow (volt?) in favor of the older blue and green jerseys. And finally my first expansion team BALTIMORE ROYALTY A perhaps underused color scheme in my eyes. We'll start off with the logo. (Don't worry this is the only jersey in the series that features a gradient jersey, but i felt the green/light green could work on these while still looking simple and clean) thank you for viewing. More too come soon!
  23. After searching the site for this thread and coming up with surprisingly nothing I'll start it off. What teams old/classic/vintage uniforms do you prefer over their current ones? I'll take the easy route and say the old Capitals threads. They aren't the best jerseys in the world but I'd say they edge out the current rendition. If I'm blind and this thread does already exist please comment and I'll take this one down.
  24. New NY Giants Uniforms

Hey, I find the Giants current uniforms to be, while classic, rather bland. So, I decided to revamp the uniforms: Both uniforms are based on the 1980s-90s Giants uniforms with a few changes: 1) The white pants currently on the Giants alternate home uniform will be implemented on the new unifoms 2) The socks on the away uniform will be red 3) An all-new, matte finished helmet with the "NY" logo featuring a new red border and new blue Lemme know what y'all think and provide suggestions!
  25. MLB Concept Uniforms (16/30 Done)

Here are my Concept uniforms for the MLB! C&C is always appreciated! I will be keeping each of the logos that the teams have now, just changing some colors around. Enjoy!
