  1. I believe Gupti first brought this news in the 2017 NFL thread. Credit to him for putting it here first. I have just typed it up and included a few links to Twitter threads. According to Twitter account @madebytim, the Jacksonville Jaguars will be changing uniforms next offseason. The current talk is that this information is being disseminated during stadium tours, although there is no current official word. This is the 5th year of the current set so a change is possible. A quick rundown of the rumors indicate that Tom Coughlin has some significant input into the process, with the knowledge that he wants something "more traditional," does not like the emphasis on the gold and wants more teal in the design, and that this will be a complete change of the look. There are quite possibly some elements that could stay (the current away uniform is a pretty incredible update of the classic away uniform), including the "JAGS shield." One thing that is pretty much a sure change is the helmet. Both Tim of the @madebytim Twitter and Alfie Crow of Big Cat Country, the Jags' SB Nation site, have said they were sitting on the news. Link: https://twitter.com/MadeByTim/status/913435220334010369 Initial thread here: https://twitter.com/MadeByTim/status/913431383426699264 A bit more from London trip here: https://twitter.com/MadeByTim/status/913433955612991488 Most of the info can be found by clicking around that Twitter account. Again, nothing official but exciting to get rid of that helmet.
  2. (Updated) I have updated the main post so the finalized renderings are seen first. (Still debating over final numbers. Both based off current Eagles font, but modified) Here is the remainder of the blog for how the above were created. Look through and comment I will update the finals if suggestions and changes are warranted. **** ORIGINAL POST BELOW ***** Okay, I've heard lots of talk about modernizing a throwback classic Eagles uniform but haven't seen any good renderings for what the single vision is for this. So, I took the time and created a one. There is too much discussion to me about "Kelly Green". It's more than that. It's bringing back tradition and having an identity that the loyal fan base can relate to. Lots of Kelly Green advocates seem to just want the "old" back. And this annoys the Millennials who don't care about the past...preferring cool. I just want green back (not some hipster made up color) and would love to see a return of silver. To me, the Eagles' colors should be green, silver and white. Agree??? I feel these would be some of the best uniforms in football...home or away. Your input is appreciated to fine tune them. Notes: Green - Not Kelly (50/60s), and not as dark as 80's. Hopefully modernly in between (jersey would have modern shiny shoulder/chest) Silver - The silver has a slight green tint to make it unique (pants would be shiny material) No black - removed from wing logo (any black seen is outline of drawings only) Facemask - Gray, not shiny silver Concept - Closest is Vick era throwback 50's (with shoulder stripes everyone comments on), mixed with the 80's (without overdoing the stripes), and utilizing modern helmet wing and materials
  3. Uniform concept I made when I was 8

Recently we moved my Mom out of her house, and in the basement I found an old army locker I had squirreled away, with a few childhood treasures. Along with some awesome old sports magazines, and some hand painted action figures was a stack of drawings. They were in surprisingly good shape for being as much as 45 years old... probably because they were stacked so tight, and my parents' religious use of a dehumidifier. They ranged from probably age 5 to age 14, mostly superheroes, but as I got older, a few football uniform designs started creeping in. This one was the oldest; I actually remember making this. I was probably 8, maybe 9... early 70's. I had been given an amazing set of markers... red, yellow, light blue, royal blue, pink, dark green, and black. At the time, I drew most every in pencil and went over it with a black ball point pen, then colored it in. I remember wanting to use as many colors as possible, but I couldn't get the green in. What I was really fascinated by is how much the set up looks like my current template I use today, and how I had already become a crazy stickler for matching stripes. Naturally, I decided to put it on an updated template; I tried my best to stick as close as possible to my 8 year old design... no "fixing". (The exceptions being the added "W" on the logo... I mean, come on!, and the addition of a road jersey, which I don't think at the time I bothered with.) There were other uniforms in there... for the most part, I started out inventing my own teams, but later I had a bunch of new designs for the Minnesota Vikings. Apparently at the time, I was very interested in adding a lot of yellow/gold to the Vikings. Anyway, I hope some of you get a kick out of this. I had a lot of fun making it. (Both times!) And if the Kansas Jayhawks break out something similar, I'm suing!
  4. FBS Concept Uniforms

Over time, I have been working on concept uniforms for all 130 FBS football teams. I did the universities that are currently planning on staying or joining the FBS level. My designs were intended to be very unique and creative. I have had a lot of fun during this designing process while creating new uniform ideas. I will start uploading the uniforms for each team in alphabetical order. Let me know what you guys think and which ones are your favorites. Hope you enjoy!

  8. Aaron Dodson from The Undefeated listed The 30 Best NBA Throwback Jerseys is response to Nike's announcement that eight teams will be wearing a Classic Edition uniform (READ: Throwback) this upcoming year. There's a lot to be said about Dodson's list, which needless to say, I don't agree with. So I thought I'd share ONE throwback for each 30 teams that I'd love to see worn. This isn't necessarily the best designed throwback from their team history, but more back to an era relatable to the fans and their history. Also, in the spirit of the NBA going with more Color vs. Color match ups, I decided to go with colored jerseys, especially since the Association Edition (READ: Home Uniform) will presumably be the only white jersey in team's collections. Anyways, here is my list. I'd love to see everyone else's opinions on what throwbacks you'd like your favorite team to sport next year or near future ...
  9. Hello everyone. I am very excited for the NBA to make the move over to Nike this upcoming season. And according to Nike, 8 teams will have throwback uniforms this year. I wanted to take a shot at some throwbacks, but I also wanted to modernize them. I will be posting uniforms for all 30 NBA teams, and maybe the Supersonics/All-Star teams. For uniform references, I used this thread by @eibram . First up,the Atlanta Hawks. Atlanta Hawks For the Hawks, I used a combination of their current color scheme/uniforms, and their Dominique Wilkins-era uniforms. Please leave CC. Next up: Boston Celtics.
  10. Overall, I'd say that the transition from Reebok to Adidas has been positive for most teams in the NHL. But some teams took a step backwards...so here is my attempt to fix their errs. First up: Nashville What they unveiled: Too minimized for my liking. Here's my take: C&C appreciated. I probably won't get to every single team in the league, most likely just a handful of them that actually need changes to perfect their current sets. Buffalo is next!

  12. I made a Dallas Cowboys uniforms that make them look unique and entertaining. introducing the Elite Dallas Cowboys Uniforms. So what i did was found some designs on the internet trying to figure out what designs to use on the uniform well here is what i did. 1: i use the double Star design on the shoulders adding the numbers and the Nike logo to make it look good 2: the pants design is too boring so i added a design that will make it look unique. 3: i added the design from captain america so it represents Americas team. 4: i added a side design on the jersey so it looked nice. 5: the helmet has a bigger star and instead of a line i added a sharp spike to make it look good. here is a show case of the uniforms Uniform Template Photo Realistic
  13. This is my first project of this sorts as I've only had PS for about 6 months. however, I've also been into the logos, designs, etc of basketball teams, so i decided to create redesign the entire NBA. This series will include some teams getting full updates, some getting minor tweaks, and some getting an entirely new identities. There will also be a few expansion teams. C&C IS definitely appreciated as this is my first project and i would like to know what i can work on! On to the first Concept. DETROIT PISTONS I wanted to keep this clean and sharp, but still give them something to make them unique. the two tone was in part inspired by the raptors early 2000's purple/black jerseys (Not the recent USA olympic jerseys, although i now realize there are several similarities.) i was never a big fan of their most recent word mark, as its too bubbly, so i went in the direction of a sharper font. ATLANTA HAWKS I haven't particularly liked any hawks jerseys since the classic Dominique era jerseys, so i considering using those to influence my new ones. however, i felt the hawks needed something more refreshing, so i went away with the red and yellow (volt?) in favor of the older blue and green jerseys. And finally my first expansion team BALTIMORE ROYALTY A perhaps underused color scheme in my eyes. We'll start off with the logo. (Don't worry this is the only jersey in the series that features a gradient jersey, but i felt the green/light green could work on these while still looking simple and clean) thank you for viewing. More too come soon!
  14. After searching the site for this thread and coming up with surprisingly nothing I'll start it off. What teams old/classic/vintage uniforms do you prefer over their current ones? I'll take the easy route and say the old Capitals threads. They aren't the best jerseys in the world but I'd say they edge out the current rendition. If I'm blind and this thread does already exist please comment and I'll take this one down.
  15. New NY Giants Uniforms

Hey, I find the Giants current uniforms to be, while classic, rather bland. So, I decided to revamp the uniforms: Both uniforms are based on the 1980s-90s Giants uniforms with a few changes: 1) The white pants currently on the Giants alternate home uniform will be implemented on the new unifoms 2) The socks on the away uniform will be red 3) An all-new, matte finished helmet with the "NY" logo featuring a new red border and new blue Lemme know what y'all think and provide suggestions!

  17. "Dressed to the Nines"

What has happened to the "Dressed to the Nines" section on the Baseball HOF website. It is no longer there. Does anyone know if this is temporary website maintenance, or a permanent deletion?
  18. I am in the process of putting together a Las Vegas Raiders rebrand for when they relocate. I am just getting started with the uniforms, but I wanted to get feedback before I did the away uniforms and color rush uniforms. I am incorporating the famous welcome to las vegas sign as a major part of the rebrand. This will be their inaugural season patch and the star from the sign will be implemented throughout the set. As always C&C is greatly appreciated!
  19. We have the Players in the "Wrong" Uniforms thread and within that thread I've seen a few "Right Team, Wrong Uniform" entries. I thought I'd separate the two, because it is an interesting topic of its' own. Here are a few to start the thread off with ... Charles Barkley, Preseason 1992, Phoenix Suns Matt Hasselbeck, 2001, Seattle Seahawks Jeff Bagwell, 1992, Houston Astros.

  21. Packers to host History Nights

http://www.packers.com/news-and-events/article-press-release/article-1/Packers-Hall-of-Fame-to-host-monthly-History-Night-starting-Feb-28/53164693-fee4-4b76-87c4-dd5a3a960a0a?campaign=sf57406279_TW_C-Content-GB_CT-Hall+of+Fame-GB_sf57406279#ixzz4ZEjQR4U2 Interesting use of the people and artifacts found in the Packers Hall of Fame. I'd love to drive up there if I had the free time for this. For those not interested in clicking the link, the first session is going to be on the history of the uniform. A later monthly session will be on the history of the helmet.
  22. I know this is kind of an obscure topic, but it's one I kind of find fascinating, because of the rarity of both happening and documentation when the internet was just Al Gore's pet project. But, in the 80's there were a number of instances of secondary jerseys and color vs. color match ups. The Utah Jazz for instance wore their green jerseys at home a couple times for St. Patrick's Day -- once against the Lakers, whom were wearing their purple roads. Then again in 1986 during Karl Malone's rookie season. The unique thing about this occurrence was that the Jazz didn't wear their green jerseys as their main roads -- they switched back to the purple jerseys the previous year. But, the match up again was on St. Patrick's Day and this time against Detroit wearing their road jerseys. I know there were a couple instances of teams wearing secondary jerseys -- I believe the 1983-84 San Diego Clippers wore both red and blue road jerseys and I believe the Pacers wore white and gold home jerseys (maybe on the road too?). I was wondering if anyone had any other examples or were familiar with this era's history. Again, it fascinates me, probably more because it's a real hunt to find documentation.
  23. One (of my many) uniform pet-peeves is match-ups involving mixed throwback uniforms -- or even worse -- a throwback vs. current era match-up. I love that baseball is more apt to get both teams in era-appropriate throwbacks -- and to some extent the NFL in 1994 (NFL 75th) and 2009 (AFL 50th) seasons. But, the NFL and NBA have had some horrible mix-matched match-ups. I thought it would fun to find some of the worst ...
  24. Not an unpopular opinion... I hate the current uniforms worn by Tampa Bay. Another not unpopular opinion... I feel the uniforms the Bucs wore from 97 to 13 were nearly perfect, and they were stupid to move away from them, especially for the nightmare they ended up with. However, as easy as it is to say "just switch back", I don't really think that's all that feasible. There are a number of reasons why it isn't really done, primarily IMO because it would just feel like an admission that the change was a huge mistake. It was, obviously, but I don't think a franchise would be willing to swallow their pride enough to simple own up to it. Most of the examples that come to mind of a team doing an about face to a "classic" look are like the Giants, the Jets... uniforms that are truly classic in the 40 to 50 year sense. To quickly switch away from a modern uniform to a fairly recent, almost as modern uniform seems unlikely. From a marketing standpoint, I'd think it would be easier for them to sell a return of the creamsicles, as a "classic return"... which I don't believe they'd be willing to do either. However... While thinking about it, another model came to mind... that being the 2009 San Francisco 49ers. In '96, they went with their modern update, which was well received at first, but aged very poorly. The darkened red, multiple logo placements, and unnecessary black accents were very "90's" and, especially since it replaced a beloved classic, it wasn't surprising to see the 9ers move back. But they didn't move back completely... The new uniform, as much as it's thought of as a return of the old, is actually a modern update of the old that owes a bit to the 90'd look as well. It's simplified, and the 90's logo, which is in the forefront of team marketing, is held over. In that vein, here's something similar for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Take the uniform everyone loves so much... ... add a few elements from the current uniform (logos, brighter red) Put it on a more modern template (which eliminates the black collar and cuffs), go with a seemingly more classic but still unique font... And I got this; Full disclosure, I actually prefer the older logos, both on the helmet and on the sleeves, but again, my thought was a way to return to a better look without fully abandoning the new one. Thoughts?
  25. CHRIS CREAMERS MLB TEMPLATES?

Quick question for all, DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT MOCKUP/TEMPLATE CHRIS CREAMER USES FOR THE MLB JERSEYS??
