  1. I thought it would be wise to create a separate thread for next season. What we know: -Adidas is taking over the production of the on-ice jerseys. Fanatics will produce the retail jerseys. -Alternate jerseys will not be worn during the 2017/18 season. -Edmonton Oilers will promote their orange 3rd jersey to full-time home status. Rumors: -New Jersey Devils are reported to have a redesign in store. -Washington Capitals are rumored to be returning to the retro jerseys full time. *edit- also if a mod could move the posts from the 2016/17 thread to this one, that would be cool.
  2. Selection Sunday is a couple of weeks away and Nike and Adidas usually release new uniforms for a couple of teams. If your team is a lock for the Tourney, then expect a concept to be made for them. These are the teams that I'll be doing. Nike Gonzaga Arizona Villanova Duke Kentucky Florida North Carolina Oregon West Virginia Virginia Purdue Adidas Kansas UCLA Louisville Wisconsin Here are my Kansas Jayhawks
  3. I love watching college football and I like to see how teams change their uniforms over the years. Most of those changes have been for the better but there's still some that changed for the worse or have just always been bad. In this thread I'm not going to do redesign every team's uniform. I'm only going to redesign FBS teams that I thought have bad uniforms or could use some slight changes (which is around 30 teams). I'll try to give some type of explanation for teams I didn't change at some point too. I'm not going to post these in a specific order. And just because I post only a home, away, and alternate uniform that doesn't meant helmet, jerseys, and pants can't be mixed around. Teams I have done: Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan, Fresno State, Georgia Tech, Hawaii, Houston, Indiana, Kansas, Louisville, Nevada, Northern Illinois, Oregon State, TCU, Tulsa, Wisconsin, Western Michigan Teams I plan on doing: UCLA, Arkansas State, Georgia Southern, Georgia State, Louisiana-Monroe, Louisiana-Lafayette, Bowling Green, Southern Miss, North Carolina State, East Carolina, Texas-San Antonio, Texas-El Paso, UAB, North Texas, Charlotte, Akron, Kent State On to the concepts... Central Michigan Chippewas (current uniform) Home Uniform: Away Uniform: Alternate Uniform: -Normal glossy helmets -Unique pattern on shoulders and pants. The pattern might be a little too much, but I'd rather see a team try something different than use a similar template than other Adidas schools. -Added "Chippewas"/"Central Michigan" to front of jersey Up Next: EMU
  4. Since my last page was shut down by a moderator due to a lack of activity for some reason, I decided to post jersey concepts here that I had planned for the logo changes in my other forum. Note also there are no alternates for the first year: First... PACIFIC DIVISION Anaheim Ducks: Their current alternate is promoted to their Home jersey, while a similar reversed color away jersey is added to replace the old one. The "D" logo remains an alternate logo on the shoulders. LA Kings: Same jersey colors and striping, but the new logo I created in my other forum is added to the front of the home and road jerseys. Other than that, no changes. San Jose Sharks: New logo added onto the front of both the home and road jersey. The old logo on the shoulders are removed. The neck color on the home jersey is changed to white to contrast the blue jersey. Edmonton Oilers: Orange alternate jersey already announced as their new home jersey for 2017-18. No changes otherwise. Calgary Flames: There recent throwback jersey returns as their primary jersey to coordinate the new logo I proposed. An away jersey reverses the colors of the home jersey and uses the primary on the font without a black outline. Vegas Golden Knights: I expect a relatively bland uniform (considering the ownership), at least for the first few years. Black home with gray sleeves and gold stripe. The same goes for the road with an added black stripe separating the gold stripe from the white. The neck laces will be the team's red accent color. The primary logo will be on the front of the jersey. I chose a more classical font, they may choose a modern font, but I think that may look too similar to the old Ducks uniforms style wise. Vancouver Canucks: Same home and road uniforms but the new logo is added to the away, and an inverted version is added to the home jersey. The logo is removed from the shoulders on both uniforms. Arizona Coyotes: No changes at all. Uniforms were also updated last year, so change is unlikely if not impossible. What do you think? Coming next: Metropolitan Division!
  5. Like most, due to Adidas' ownership of Reebok, I do not believe many drastic logo changes will come to the NHL logo-wise. I believe most teams will see either recolors or promotion of alternates to primaries, with only one or two teams receiving full on new logos. However, here are my ideas/suggestions regarding logo changes for both the Pacific Division and the Metropolitan division. PACIFIC DIVISION: LA Kings: I see the Kings keeping their current color scheme but this is a mixed concept that I made. It involves a mix of their rarely seen stadium series logo and the old crown from the franchise's inception, rather than the dated and complex current crown. This could work as either an alternate or (preferably) a primary. San Jose Sharks: I see the shark's new alternate logo for 2016-17 ready to take over the current sharks logo. This and the Panthers logo were the only all-new non-anniversary logos introduced this year, so I see it promoted to the primary. It is an improvement over the previous logo. Anaheim Ducks: This is the logo change I and most really want to see: the duck mask must return. Strip it straight from the already used alternate and promote it to a primary and demote the "D" logo down to an alternate. Edmonton Oilers: This logo is either staying the same or, in my opinion, getting a minor recolor to give it more of the classic look. Vegas Golden Knights: This logo was unveiled earlier this year. I'm not much of a fan, but it is what it is. Calgary Flames: Black will be removed from the team's color scheme entirely, reverting its colors back to the much preferred older color scheme. Vancouver Canucks: I think either the orca logo stays or, preferably, the classic canucks hockey stick "C" makes its way as a primary. Arizona Coyotes: No changes. METROPOLITAN DIVISION: New Jersey Devils: Although a new logo is rumored for the Devils, I don't see their classic NJ icon leaving anytime soon. If anything, I see their colors being reverted back to red and green to differentiate itself from the many bland red and black teams out there. If they do choose to go with a redesign, I hope it at least keeps the spirit of this logo. New York Rangers: No changes. Possibly the return of lady liberty? New York Islanders: No changes. However, the life that this logo has left with the Islanders scheduled to be arena-less in 2019 may be short... Pittsburgh Penguins: No changes. This recolor was perfect for the franchise and nothing needs to be added. Carolina Hurricanes: No changes, unfortunately. While the logo is bleh right now, the team has been dead last in attendance and I see relocation in sight. The team will not waste resources on a new logo if the team has no time left in North Carolina. Philadelphia Flyers: No changes. Very solid and classic logo with no need for change. Columbus Blue Jackets: I see their much acclaimed alternate logo taking the place of their much derided primary. This is a fantastic logo that better represents a primary logo than their primary logo. Washington Capitals: I see their word mark logo falling into secondary territory, while their eagle logo gets a few minor tweaks to color and design and gets promoted to the primary. The logo is amazing and its wanted. Do you agree? Will add the Atlantic and Central Conference soon...
  6. So... Today's outcome had me pretty down, so I decided to take a swing at what I would've liked the match to look like.
  7. No but I would bet a lot of money that they will look exactly like this (not my concept BTW mods just a good prediction by Avi):
  8. UPDATE: Thanks for all the support, guys! This was a fun series to do. Get hyped. 31 teams, 4 all star teams, and 66 jerseys. NHL by Adidas. Here are the Eastern Conference logos and All Star jerseys. They're designed with the red Eastern Conference color, and a classic design based off the past, and prepared to withstand the future. Eastern Conference teams are up first, and will start coming in tomorrow. TEAMS: EASTERN CONFERENCE: Eastern Conference All Stars Boston Bruins Buffalo Sabres Carolina Hurricanes Columbus Blue Jackets Detroit Red Wings Florida Panthers Montreal Canadiens New Jersey Devils New York Islanders New York Rangers Ottawa Senators Philadelphia Flyers Pittsburgh Penguins Tampa Bay Lightning Toronto Maple Leafs Washington Capitals WESTERN CONFERENCE: Western Conference All Stars Anaheim Ducks Arizona Coyotes Calgary Flames Chicago Blackhawks Colorado Avalanche Dallas Stars Edmonton Oilers Los Angeles Kings Minnesota Wild Nashville Predators San Jose Sharks St. Louis Blues Vancouver Canucks Vegas Golden Knights Winnipeg Jets Thanks!
  9. The title of the thread says it all... I will be posting my predictions for what I think the NHL/Adidas will be unveiling for their league-wide overhaul next season, as well as changes I would make/what I want to see. We know a few details for what to expect - such as the Oilers wearing their orange alts full time, the Devils rebranding, etc - but according to @Chris Creamer, some teams won't have major changes. So first up... 1) Washington Capitals Prediction: rumor has it that the Caps are thinking about switching to their retro-throwbacks full time. Wish List: a combination of throwback and modernization 2) Tampa Bay Lightning Prediction: they switch to their current third jersey's template to stray away from the Maple Leafs/Red Wings comparison Wish List: bring back the unique Hawaiian blue and throw in some more black Florida and Columbus are next....C&C appreciated.
  10. I wasn't really with Canada's World Cup of Hockey uniforms they used this year. Canada has a really unique and storied hockey history, and the jersey didn't really respect that. It was a little too modern and stripped down for my tastes. I wanted to come up with something that respected the past and was modern and forward thinking at the same time. I figured that I have a hot hand with concepts right now, so I figured I'd take a shot at it. To do this, I took inspiration from two uniforms in particular. The first was the Winnipeg Falcons Team Canada throwbacks that they wore in 2004. I really like the center chest stripe, as well as the styling of the maple leaf. The second was the 2010 Olympic jerseys that Canada wore when they won the gold medal. I thought that the jersey was really really good, especially with the striping and First Nations design sublimated in the maple leaf. I first wanted to come up with some logos for the jersey and the rest of the uniform. I wanted to take the old styled maple leaf and combine it with the First Nations elements from the 2010 maple leaf. Here are the maple leaf logos that I came up with for the jersey. I took an irregular looking silver maple leaf and sublimated a Pacific Northwest First Nations design on top of it. I moved the arching "Canada" from the Falcons throwback down below the leaf, similar to the 2010 maple leaf logo. For the jerseys, I wanted the same mix of old school and new school. Here are the two jerseys: The home set is red with a white stripe in the middle of the jersey. The yoke is darker red, with the same dark red in the inside of the two white stripes. The away set is the reverse of the home, except for the red yoke. Both sets have black helmets and pants, as well as red socks. All C&C and feedback welcome and appreciated!
  11. I think that Senators is vague enough that it can basically apply as "Ottawa HC." I think the best look for them would be to go red instead of black on the barberpole, ditch vintage white, and put the profile senator on the front. Like this:
  12. Hey folks! Ever since the NHL announced that Adidas will take over the uniform system in 2017, I've been curious and excited to see what the new jerseys will look like. I originally started a series with some concepts for this upcoming season, but now that we have more information as far as what we might see next season. So far, we know that the NHL won't allow third jerseys to be used next season, meaning that some teams could promote their alternates to primary status. It's been confirmed that the Oilers will going orange for the next season, and both the Wild and Capitals are in the process of deciding whether to make the upgrade. It's also very possible that we will see the dreaded Adidas trademark: the three stripes. Based on the negative reaction from many fans, and the outcry we'll get from teams like the Canadiens and Red Wings, I doubt the stripes will be under the armpit, rather somewhere else (the back of the jersey collar, maybe?) First concept coming soon!
  13. Could NHL sweaters look like this after the Adidas take over? leave your ideas here too!
  14. This is a series for the 2017-18 season when Adidas takes over the NHL. I've removed the all of the adidas marks from the jersey, as they look much cleaner without them. Anyway, here's the first team... WASHINGTON CAPITALS While the Capitals have had some decent designs in the past, none of them have been perfect. Here's my review for each of them... All photos from nhluniforms.com '74-'95: Nothing positive about this set. '95-'07: While the color scheme and striping pattern sucked, the eagle logo was amazing. '07-present: The best color scheme by far, and the shoulder logo was pretty sick, but the striping and chest logo are pretty bad. MY DESIGN: C&C is appreciated. Be the first to comment and pick the next team for me to design.
  15. Since things are picking up for the NHL with the start of the new season I would start a series that had been in my computer for awhile. For now I am taking a short break from MLB Organizational Tweaks to do these. I am starting with each team in alphabetical order standard uniforms including any regular alternates. I appreciate any comments or criticisms as I will be making changes to concepts. My plan is to make uniforms that would look good on the ice, but also have some personality to them. First tweak is to the NHL logo now in only black and white without silver gradient. Anaheim Ducks Arizona Coyotes Boston Bruins Buffalo Sabres Calgary Flames (UPDATE) Carolina Hurricanes Chicago Blackhawks Colorado Avalanche Columbus Blue Jackets Dallas Stars Detroit Red Wings
  16. Inspired by the Nike "universal" 3rd kits (using what later would be the Challenge template in 2014/15 and the Laser III template 2015/16), I decided to create an universal template for the third/alternate kits of some clubs currently sponsored by Adidas. Given the current Adidas trend to recover retro designs for their latest football kits (Germany and Russia) I'll be going for a retro style as well, using the pattern from the Arsenal "Bruised Banana" shirt. This is the design I'll be using as base: And this is the list of the clubs I'll be doing (for the moment): AC Milan AFC Ajax FC Bayern Munich FC Shalke 04 Juventus FC Manchester United FC Olympique de Marseille Olympique Lyon Real Madrid CF Valencia CF For some teams I'll be using their traditional colours, and for others I'll use new colour schemes. I'll start uploading the designs tomorrow.
  17. According to various outlets (I believe Icethetics as well as Chris Creamer), the NHL will be ditching all of the currently in use third jerseys once the league's uniforms are taken over by Adidas. So with this in mind, I am dedicating this series to reintroduce the "third" or "alternate" jersey back in to the league. While we don't know the extent to which Adidas will be making changes to each team's uniforms, my goal is to incorporate certain simplistic and templated trends that have been apparent in Reebok's latest unveiled uniforms to make this series realistic without limiting creativity. In addition to most of the alternates that will be unveiled, I will be taking a page out of Nike's "Color Rush" campaign, and introduce "Colorway" uniforms that are meant to bring out each team's unique color identity. There may be a bonus unveiling of additional uniforms here and there, as well. 18. Okay, I'm newer to the concept thing so this is my first official concept. With the rumors of Las Vegas' expansion team being named "Desert Knights", I figured to go ahead and give it a shot. I used the what the owner said about "chain pattern" and added that to the jersey. I also used the WCH2016 template. C&C is welcome!
  19. In this series I will be re-branding all 32 NFL Team's uniforms with either Nike (Mach Speed, Pro Combat, Vapor Untouchable), Adidas (Techfit 2016), or Under Armour (Diablo). Nike/Jordan Carolina Panthers New York Jets Adidas Tampa Bay Buccaneers Minnesota Vikings Under Armour Atlanta Falcons Leave comments and requests of what team with what brand/template you want. First up is the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with Adidas' Techfit Template
  20. With the upcoming Adidas NHL takeover, I've decided to create new alternate jerseys for every NHL team. Starting with the Pacific, I'll go division by division, eventually getting to all 30 teams. C&C greatly appreciated! LA Kings Edmonton Oilers San Jose Sharks Calgary Flames Anaheim Ducks Arizona Coyotes Vancouver Canucks Minnesota Wild Colorado Avalanche Winnipeg Jets St Louis Blues Nashville Predators Chicago Blackhawks Dallas Stars Florida Panthers Boston Bruins Detroit Red Wings Buffalo Sabres Toronto Maple Leafs Montreal Canadiens Tampa Bay Lightning Ottawa Senators Columbus Blue Jackets New York Rangers New Jersey Devils New York Islanders Philidelphia Flyers
  21. I am so happy with the response from my first NBA template series that I wanted to update it to better suit you guys and create a better template to show off the creativity and design on this site. So here's what we've got! Here's whats been updated: - updated Adidas mesh design to match actual uniform - added championship crest on back collar - organized illustrator files/layers for better access - added basic number/NOB font (link below) - added stripes - added side view for jersey - added front view for shorts Here are the links to download the templates/font: https://www.mediafire.com/folder/p252i2mir80g8/NBA_Uniform_Templates.ai I am excited to hear from you guys! I welcome all feedback about the templates. Let me know what you would want to see changed or perfected! Enjoy.
  22. The ISBHF is the International Street and Ball Hockey Federation. It is currently the highest level of ball hockey in the world. For those of you who don’t know what ball hockey check this out: http://www.isbhf.com/en/about-sport-w4/basic-rules-w23/ Recently they had their world junior championships in Sheffield. This will be a concept for that tournament. For this concept the ISBHF secured a deal with Adidas similar to the one Adidas has with the NHL. On top of that Adidas releases an equipment line up specific to ball hockey. The equipment is limited to gloves, sticks and helmets. However all of the equipment is CCM Tracks or RBZ with Adidas logos. Adidas also does not make goalie gear or any other protective gear. All of the players using Adidas gear also use CCM protective gear. Anyway here are the first two teams Canada and the Czech Republic:
  23. The IIHF or International Ice Hockey Federation is worldwide governing body for Hockey. (Ice Hockey in most places.) And there are 77 members, or countries, in the IIHF. 54 are full time members, 21 Associate Members, and just 2 affiliate members. I will be redesigning the full time members, as if Adidas became the uniform supplier. I hope to get the concepts done as frequent as possible, but I'm pretty busy trying to finish up school... Here's the list of what I've finished so far.... Great Britain Norway USA Great Britain Great Britain has more hockey history than you'd think. Lord Stanley bought the silver cup, that evolved into the current Stanley Cup, in Sheffield, England, and the Great Britain National team won the Olympic gold medal in 1936. The Alternate is based off of those 1936 jerseys. The regular jerseys are inspired by the EA sports NHL Legacy Edition video game and the Great Britain jerseys... C&C Appreciated!
  24. So while I finish up my CLH series, I'm going to start my next big project. Many of you might remeber my last NHL by Adidas project. It was well recieved but I ran out of time and my template was clunky. I'm back with a new template, new format. It's very similar to my CLH project. Here's some groundrules; •I will be following Adidas trends, like bold colours and new patterns, all while creating a classic look. •One home and one away. I will also be doing a Winter Classic and other outdoor games. •I will be trying to differentiate colour schemes and uniform styles. With that being said, here's the first two teams! ARIZONA COYOTES I actually really liked the new Yotes uniforms, with some changes. I added a pattern to the arms and hem, as well as replicating the styles to all parts of the uniform. I kept the colours of the rebrand because the design complimented it. ANAHEIM DUCKS This is one where I want some advice. A Duck fan, a friend of mine, says that these colours wouldn't fly, but this series IS about trying things out. I felt the orange and green looked good, but it may not. The design was inspired by Daniel Lowry. We'll see how it goes. Leave C and C! I'll upload Boston and Buffalo tomorrow morning. Excited to see how this goes!
  25. Every year around this time, I usually work on a concept series since I have a decent amount of time in between when school ends and when I start my summer job. So for this spring/summer, I am going to give every team in the NHL a new look. With this series, I want to incorporate more color into the uniforms, abandon the "cookie cutter" templates, and give each team a unique identity. All C&C is welcomed and appreciated. First, I'll start off with the Atlantic Division. Atlantic Division Toronto Maple Leafs Florida Panthers Montreal Canadiens Boston Bruins Detroit Red Wings Tampa Bay Lightning (Update) Ottawa Senators Buffalo Sabres Pacific Division Arizona Coyotes Edmonton Oilers Vancouver Canucks Calgary Flames (Update) Anaheim Ducks Los Angeles Kings San Jose Sharks (Update) Metropolitan Division Pittsburgh Penguins Philadelphia Flyers (Update) Washington Capitals New York Islanders (Update) New York Rangers Columbus Blue Jackets Carolina Hurricanes New Jersey Devils Central Division Dallas Stars Chicago Blackhawks St. Louis Blues Colorado Avalanche Minnesota Wild Winnipeg Jets Nashville Predators The first two teams I am posting are expected to unveil new uniforms, so here is a guess as to what they will look like! Toronto Maple Leafs Florida Panthers
