    NBA Redesign Concepts (Celtics 4/27)

As a Jazz fan who's not a huge fan of the current design (minus the City Edition jersey), I figured I would try my hand at redesigning the team. Changing the colors to dark purple, teal, and copper, the team resurrects a snowflake logo. The Association uniform is off-white, the Icon uniform purple, the Statement uniform teal, and the new City Edition uniform a gradient going from pewter blue to dark blue. C&C welcome!

Boston Celtics logo tweak by CrownCorvus

Logo Concept - Boston Celtics The Boston Celtics have a pretty timeless logo so for an update I couldn’t do anything too crazy. I mostly made the line widths a little more even, made the lettering better spaced on the outer circle. The biggest changes are to the Celtic’s vest and tie which is no longer gold and/or carrying an unnecessary number of clovers all over it.

    Boston Bruins Logo Redesign Concept

The Boston Bruins Logo is timeless, and that's why I decided to redesign it. ...Wait what? One of the best challenges is designing a new logo that "Cannot be made any better." By no means am I saying it's better, but I had a blast making it. What are your thoughts?
  4. The Boston Bruins have, IMO, one of the coolest Retired Number banner motifs in all of sports. I thought it might be fun to try a version of a Stanley Cup Banner akin to their roundels. What do you think?

New WNBA Team Concept Art (Boston)

Howdy folks! I started a concept art project for what future WNBA teams would look like should they ever exist. Although not all NBA teams have "sister" teams who share the same arena as their NBA counterparts, I've came up with some ideas for possible "sister" teams to their NBA brothers. The first one I will be sharing is Boston. I present to you, the Boston Charm, sister team to the Boston Celtics. And yes, I've designed the unis and the court. The Charm uses the same exact color scheme used by the Celtics: green and gold. It also uses the iconic shamrock in its logo and on its uniforms. I also added a second alternate uniform which is black and has "Bean Town" written across the front. I know the court is missing a few things, but I just wanted to give the general idea of what the court is expected to look like. The TD Garden logo's placement is different from the one on the Celtics court. More teams will be coming soon and I hope to submit my ideas to the WNBA when they're ready to expand. Also, I'll be doing new concepts for the defunct teams from the early 2000s. I would gladly appreciate any and all feedback. Ask yourself; what do you think about the team name, the court, the uniforms, the idea in general?
  6. Here is the latest in my series of MLB Rivalry Faceoff concepts. No real reason I chose these teams other than the fact that they have similar names. The two Sox teams don't really have much of a rivalry and I believe they've only met in the postseason once. Still, I've had some design ideas for these teams and I thought this series would be a perfect opportunity to get them out of my system. Let's start with the Red Sox: Per @Discrimihater's suggestion, the Red Sox home jersey is inspired by the '80s Celtics warmup jackets. The road uni is loosely based on Boston's 1999 All-Star Game jerseys and puts the Red Sox in vests with the dangling socks logo on the chest. What do you guys think of the shamrock sleeve patches? Too much? Also, I really wanted to give the home set a red cap with white brim, but I couldn't figure out what logo to put on the front. Any suggestions? The White Sox home set incorporates elements from several early 20th century uniforms. I used the Shoeless Joe-era logo, the "crossing socks" cap design from their 1926 road set and the T-bars from the '40s jerseys. I also gave the jersey oversized buttons with pinwheels on them, an idea I took from mascot Southpaw's jersey. The road set is basically what they wore on the road for the first fifteen years of their existence, updated with their present day color scheme. The wordmark and numbers are from their notorious '76 unis. I really wanted to emphasize the WHITE in White Sox, so the home set has black stirrups over white sanis, while the road set has striped hosiery inspired by their 1917 World Series uniform socks. As always, C&C appreciated!

    Boston Celtics overhauled primary logo

Just a very small project: If the Celtics were actually simplifying their current primary mark, this is how I would overhaul the whole thing.
  8. Well, I've attempted to rebrand the Celtics. Yes, the unthinkable. Yes, those Celtics. Link below for a PDF of the full brand, research, elements, and more collateral, including uniforms, court, tickets and other collateral. http://issuu.com/ianbakar/docs/2016_celticsconcept_low_5f185fdb617349?e=1212987/30859354
  9. Once upon a time, the Hub City was home of the Red Stockings Beaneaters Doves Pilgrims Rustlers Braves Bees Braves. Both uniforms in the set are somewhat loosely based on the uniforms worn by 1914's Miracle Braves, though instead of the block B and completely red chief on the sleeve of the originals, I used the B from the Braves script and the more colorful Indian of the 40s. Also a B on each cap (the originals were logo-free), with the home cap's B being white trimmed in red to separate itself at least somewhat from the Red Sox. Yes, the blue-gray with red pinstripes actually happened. And was worn for more than one season. Mindblowing, I know. Up the road from Third Base to Huntington, they sang another victory song... The grays are a loose nod to the Huntington Avenue era, when there was a BA (the A being for American League) on the chest. The whites, meanwhile, are a nod to the first Red Sox uniform from 1908. Hey, what can I say, so I've posted a similar jersey before...why mess with a winning formula? Saturday will see the release of the NYC trio.

    Boston Celtics Court Concept

So I feel like the Boston Celtics court needs a little modernizing. So here is my first post! Any thoughts? Please go easy on me lol

    Australian Football Beanpot

I figure most of you here know of the Beanpot tournament, in which the Boston area's major college hockey teams-Boston U, Boston College, Harvard and Northeastern-square off against each other. Figured I'd put my own spin on it (it was either that, a Big Apple cluster:censored:, or the Philly schools again)...so here goes the Aussie rules Beanpot Boston College The first choice is a fauxback design intended especially for the Beanpot. After seeing references to the College Vault damn near everywhere, I decided to see for myself. The eagle on the front, as well as the BC, I saw there and figured they would lend themselves well to the old-time look I was aiming for, paired with the West Coast Eagles' wings design (trust me, this is much simpler than what I'd go with if I wanted it to be more personalized). Given that it'd be very easy to differentiate from the other three home jumpers, the more modern-looking whites wouldn't be needed, but I threw em in for the hell of it. For anyone wondering how the hell I came to that conclusion, simple: since the back is almost entirely gold, the jumper is considered mostly gold, a color the other three schools aren't using here. Boston University For BU, I was thinking hoops, but not exactly normal hoops. Not the style from the Maple Leafs' socks, either. What I decided on isn't exactly earthshaking, but it was to my liking. The black shorts are twofold: first, traditionally, home teams wore black shorts until the mid-late 70s IIRC, and second is I wasn't feeling right going with red shorts here. Harvard Honestly, I had the image of a huge H making up most of the jumper in my head, and the horizontal pinstripes came to me in the process. Northeastern Yes, in the same vein as AS Monaco, I went with a red/black diagonal. Then decided the red portion could use a subtle husky (it's only as visible as it is so you guys can see it, it'd be more subtle IRL)
  12. I introduced the Hybrid Logos in a pervious post. Here's the Boston/New England Hybrid Logos Boston Bruins (inspired by New England Patriots) Hybrid Logo. This logo uses the design elements of the current Patriots logo. The Patriots face is replaced by a black Bruin Bear and the red wave stripes are replace with yellow wave stripes. Boston Red Sox (inspired by Boston Bruins) Hybrid Logo. The Red Sox "B" replaces the Bruins "B" and the colours of the spokes and circles are replaced from the Bruins black and yellow to the Red Sox's red, white and blue. Boston Celtics (inspired by Red Sox) Hybrid Logo. This logo uses the simplicity of the Red Sox Logo to create the Celtics Hybrid Logo. Kept is the circles and font of the Red Sox logo. Replaced is the socks to a shamrock, baseball to a basketball the Red Sox colours to the Celtic green, white and black. New England Patriots (inspired by Celtics) Hybrid Logo. This was the most difficult of the bunch to create. The logo uses the winking Celtic man and the old Patriots logo as inspiration. The stance of the man are the same as the Celtics. The outfit is the same as the old Patriots logo (minus the cross chest straps). Instead of a wooded cane I used a sabre and instead of the baseball I used a football. The font of the name is change to the Patriots current jersey font. View more on my website www.johnmong.com
  13. When the Celtics unveiled their new Parquet Pride uniforms, myself like many of you, thought they were pretty ugly looking. One think I did like on the uniform was the parquet pattern on the side panels of the jersey and shorts. I thought that was kind of cool looking. I took that idea and added it to the Celtics green jerseys (mine still says Celtics on the front, I know the current ones now say Boston). I made it gold, like the gold from the St. Patrick Day uniforms. I took the stripes on the shoulder and had them run down the side of the jersey and shorts. One of the things I might do is add a gold outline around CELTICS and the number just to change it up a little more. What do you think?
  14. As I mentioned in my KC Chiefs logo concept post, I am obsessed with logos designed in the 70's. So after I did the Chiefs, I decided to do another team: the Celtics. I looked at the shape of a clover / shamrock and noticed that the right side could be tweaked into a "B" for Boston. Perfect! After I made the all-green version, I decided to make a version for the Red Sox by simply changing the color of the B from green to red with a navy blue outline: . . . . Then I realized that this logo now represented both the Celtics AND Red Sox, and realized I had a potential all-Boston mashup logo on my hands and wondered how I could incorporate the Bruins and Patriots. So I took the circle design from the background of the Bruins logo and put that behind my clover B logo, and then put Pat Patriot's tricorn hat on top. BOOM! I think this would make a great tattoo. If anyone wants to get it done feel free, just take a pic after it's done and post it in this thread so I can see it. I'd love to hear what you guys think of these!

  16. Watching the Finals, I cannot help but notice how fantastic the Hawks red sweaters are and the B's white sweaters are, and just how truly great this game looks, because it looks like a freaking old time hockey game. This is what the game is meant to look like. So, when's the last time the CUP FINALS have looked this good or better? Remember, STANLEY CUP FINALS ONLY.
  17. Jerseys in this thread: Colorado Avalanche Pittsburgh Penguins Calgary Flames Anaheim Ducks Boston Bruins Los Angeles Kings Nashville Predators Edmonton Oilers These next concepts I will be bringing you (first time posting on the site) is from a template I recently made, so there are still some bugs I'm working out as I go a long, and as I upload these keep in mine I love listening to constructive criticism. But I cannot change these jerseys anymore since they are long gone from their original .psd file! Hope you all enjoy! The first 3rd Jersey is Colorado Avalanche. Colorado Avalanche 3rd Jersey - With this jersey being my first one with this template, you could say I was a beginner with it. I actually didn't realize it until after I finished that it had a nice hint to the Nordiques, but that wasn't my plan going into it. Rather just create an icy feel to the jersey. - This recieved a Concept of the Week nomination on HockeyJerseyConcepts.com! - Tell me what you think, and hopefully I can upload a new one soon. Can't wait to hear your response!
  18. First time submitting to sportslogos. This is a alternate logo design I had.
