  1. It's the most wonderful time of the year! Yes, Thats right. Last year I made ugly christmas sweater themed wallpapers for various sports teams. I'm opening it again. If you have and requests please let me know. I will also post all the ones from last year so there won't be any duplicates.
  2. CHL All-Star Showdown

This was my entry into HockeyJerseyConcepts' Pairs Competition. I teamed up with one of their former writers, William, and we decided to do a CHL version of an all-star weekend as the top prospects game could be better organized and an all-star weekend could help young players get ready to compete at the NHL level. For the location, We decided on Calgary as it has a rich hockey heritage and it hasn't hosted a major event since I believe the 1988 Olympics. The competition will be a 3-on-3 tournament like the NHL, with 4 teams: The OHL, QMJHL, WHL, and a team of players under 17 years (Nicknamed the 'Young Guns'). For the full presentation click here. The main logo (Designed by William, not me. Mods, please tell me if it isn't properly credited) takes the shape of a maple leaf and a star to show the event is truly international. The font and cowboy hat reflect Calgary's western heritage, and the Calgary Tower and red colors display city pride. My main part of the project was jersey design. Each of the designs is inspired by the respective league's logo. Each jersey has the same basic pattern; a chest stripe, cuffs, and a shoulder yoke. OHL: QMJHL: WHL: Young Guns: C&C is appreciated!
  3. The Rocky Mountain Rage was an obscure team in the Central Hockey League that played in Broomfield, Colorado. I grew up with them. The little outdoor rink I played at in a nearby town sold tickets to the games, so my family and I would always buy tickets and go to the games. Even though we only got one or two games per year through the rink, we bought a ton of other tickets and saw the team a ton. The product on the ice was never that good, (They were notorious for blowing huge leads in the 3rd) and the seats were never full, but we still loved them. Hell, I still own a Rage hat shaped like a hockey helmet and a Rage jersey, which was the basis for most of these designs. I also noticed that there are no good, high-quality versions of their logo online. Below is a recreation of it to the best of my ability. If anyone ever wants to use it or someone wants to add it to the motherboard, go ahead. Also, below is the best recreation of the jerseys I could make from before their end. Here is my redesign. Not a ton of changes. Here's my redesign. The waist striping is honestly the only change, because I love the flames on the arms. It's a lot more like the previous Avalanche jerseys, with the mountains and all. I know it's not a humongous cahnge, but what do you guys think?

  5. Flint Tropics Hockey - OHL

So, a few weeks back, news broke that the Plymouth Whalers were being sold and relocated to Flint, Michigan. It was also said that there would be a fan vote for the new name of the team. Every article I read about this had tons of comments with people suggesting the name "Flint Tropics".... Why not that name? It comes from a popular and very quotable Will Ferrell movie which I feel would drive team popularity through the roof with casual OHL and CHL fans not only in Michigan, but North America as a whole. Semi Pro apparel and Halloween costumes have been popular since the movie came out in 2008. I love the identity of this team, even if it is fictional and ridiculous for a team in Michigan to be named anything tropical. I think a modernized version of this identity could translate nicely onto a hockey jersey so I wanted to give it a shot. I had a few early sketches for a very crazy third jersey and I needed a placeholder logo. I don't want to reveal that jersey just yet, but my quick little sketch logo actually looked like it would be perfect. It was a palm tree and doubled as a "T", so I've been playing with its shape and am looking for some C&C on the logo.
