  1. Another Neo-Vintage Mascot Logo Concept; this time Big Al from the University of Alabama marches on through the puny competition! This was a previous look I created for Al:
  2. TCU Horned Frog

TCU has a few vintage logos, but I thought I'd take elements from them and create a neo-vintage one:
  3. Virginia Tech Hokie Bird

Took another look at my Neo-Vintage Hokie Bird from 2014 and refreshed it! 2014: 2017: I have a GIF to highlight the differences, but it doesn't seem to work...
  4. (Updated) I have updated the main post so the finalized renderings are seen first. (Still debating over final numbers. Both based off current Eagles font, but modified) Here is the remainder of the blog for how the above were created. Look through and comment I will update the finals if suggestions and changes are warranted. **** ORIGINAL POST BELOW ***** Okay, I've heard lots of talk about modernizing a throwback classic Eagles uniform but haven't seen any good renderings for what the single vision is for this. So, I took the time and created a one. There is too much discussion to me about "Kelly Green". It's more than that. It's bringing back tradition and having an identity that the loyal fan base can relate to. Lots of Kelly Green advocates seem to just want the "old" back. And this annoys the Millennials who don't care about the past...preferring cool. I just want green back (not some hipster made up color) and would love to see a return of silver. To me, the Eagles' colors should be green, silver and white. Agree??? I feel these would be some of the best uniforms in football...home or away. Your input is appreciated to fine tune them. Notes: Green - Not Kelly (50/60s), and not as dark as 80's. Hopefully modernly in between (jersey would have modern shiny shoulder/chest) Silver - The silver has a slight green tint to make it unique (pants would be shiny material) No black - removed from wing logo (any black seen is outline of drawings only) Facemask - Gray, not shiny silver Concept - Closest is Vick era throwback 50's (with shoulder stripes everyone comments on), mixed with the 80's (without overdoing the stripes), and utilizing modern helmet wing and materials
  5. 2018 Winter Classic Logos

Decided to create some winter classic logos for the Rangers, Sabres, and the game itself. Rangers: A mix of their 1920s-30s logo with the modern logo, along with the throwback white color. Sabres: Using the current buffalo and two sabre concept, but adjusting it with some throwback white. Event Logo: Using reference from the inaugural logo for Citi Field from 2009, this logo uses citi field's facade, along with the commonly used winter classic logo. Lemme know what you think:
  6. NHL 2017/18 Outdoor Games

Hey everyone! So, with the 16/17 regular season having just come to an end, i figured I'd get a start on some jersey concepts for the highlights of the 17/18 season, the outdoor games. I'm not sure how long it'll take me to complete them, but I will finish all 8 teams before the season starts. So without further ado, here's my first team of the NHL 100 Classic, the Ottawa Senators!
  7. This concept was started a few years ago here: http://boards.sportslogos.net/topic/98132-vintage-style-lipscombcoloradohoward/ . And I just went back and cleaned it up. Let me know what you think of the updates. Here is the image: And a GIF for comparison:
  8. Vancouver Canucks Concept

Vancouver Canucks New & Old I really like the Canucks colours, but their logo does not suit them in my opinion. I made some small changes to their current alternate logo and put it on some home and away jerseys Tell me what you think, C&C appreciated
  9. NHL: Canada's 150th Anniversary

I've been hearing a lot of rumors about the Ottawa Senators holding an outdoor game to commemorate their 25th anniversary as well as Canada's 150th anniversary. I decided to make a concept logo that resembled the Winter and Heritage Classic logos. Hope you enjoy, C&C appreciated
  10. FLORIDA PANTHERS WINTER CLASSIC CONCEPT *UPDATED*

So I originally was going to post a topic on here again, when I finished my idea for a United American Continental Hockey League (That is not the name of the league but I may change it also you'll see what I mean when I post the list of teams as well as the first team). Until then an idea came to me about a Winter Classic in good'ol Florida. I do have a Tampa Bay Lighting idea in mind but I'm not sure if I want to post it. The design is a ode to the military with a unique style added in that fits in with the current uniforms of the Cats. THE JERSEY: I based the jersey off of the Stadium Series jersey for the Detroit Redwings as well as the striping inspired by the Canadiens and current Panthers uniform. The patch towards the cuff of the sleeves is a Captain's patch from the United States Military (I gave it to Ekblad because I feel by the time they get a Winter Classic Willie Mitchell will have retired and Ekblad will have matured enough to deserve the 'C'... well in this case Captain's bars) Here is a closer look at the Captain's patch... The Navy Blue and and Gold are in there because well it the Panthers' colors so it makes sense. I chose a silver/grey/whatever (technically it Grey-25%) instead of Red because of one simple reason. In the US Military a Captain's bars are silver so it fits in with the Military motif. C&C Appreciated* Some quick Criticisms that I know will be mentioned: -No Winter Classic Patch (I am not the best artist soooo...yeah there's that.) -Main logo too fuzzy (I attempted to fix it up... I stress attempted. Also, I'm using MS paint.) -Using MS Paint
  11. NBA uni set tournament

Would anyone be interested in putting together an NCAA-style 32- or 64-item tournament of NBA uniforms for the site to vote on? I'd be interested to see which ones advanced in certain matchups. We'd need classics like the Shaq-era Magic; "Irish Rainbow" Bucks; MJ Bulls; "Rainbow Skyline" Nuggets; Baby Blue Kings; blue-and-green Hawks (and/or Pac Man-era Hawks); 1974-81 Cavs; Mourning-era Hornets and Heat (what was it about him and good uniforms?); original Grizzlies and Raptors; 1980s and/or 1990s Pacers; and many, many more. I'd think every team could have at least one representation, especially if we did 64 sets.
  12. I want to try to alter and reinvent some of the classic and iconic logos in sports. Logos that no one would want to change, but for the purpose of these concepts, that's the entire point. There's a bit more of a write up here - http://tinyurl.com/nsjvt3c I've done two so far. The Red Sox and Yankees. These are more edgy and not as round as the originals. What do you guys think? And what are some other classic logos you'd like to see my change?
  13. Hey guys! Over the past week or so I have been making a fictional hockey league. I was inspired by Veras' football league, but I decided to try it with hockey. I also realize that hawkfan89 has started one too, but I didn't know about it until today (You should check it out). Anyways, let's get started here... The Canadian Proffesional Hockey League was founded on March 8th, 1932 by Ralph Walter .The league was established as a professional league designed to compete withthe NHL. The league started with 4 teams: The Toronto Snappers, Halifax Harbourmen,Kingston Fire, and the Montreal Saints. Halifax was named after the large harbourin the city, Toronto was named for their cold snaps (Hence the name Snappers),Kingston was named after a large fire that happened in 1840 in Kingston, andMontreal was named the Saints because of the city's nickname 'The City Of Saints'.The Harbourmen and the Fire faced-off on November 14th, 1938 for the CPHL's first ever game. The final score was 6-2 in favor of Halifax. As the season progressed,it was clear that the Harbourmen were special. They won their first 4 games until Kingston deafeated them 7-5, but they bounced back to win 11 in a row. The team wouldlose only 3 more times and add 17 wins for a league best record of 22-4. Toronto would finish with a solid record of 15-11. Kingston was 12-14, and Montreal came in lastwith a horrid record of 6-20. The top 2 teams would battle for the CPHL Champions Trophy, awarded to the champion of the CPHL. Toronto opened the scoring just :44 in and would add another goal just 2:27 later. Halifax finally scored with 3:18 left in the 1st period. The Harbourmen then scored 3 goals just 1:49 apart from each other to take a 4-2 lead. Toronto added a goal 4:59 into the 3rd period, but Halifax went on to score twice moreand added an empty-netter to win the CPHL Champions Trophy by a score of 7-3. The MVP of thechampionship was Right Wing, Lester Wallman. He lead the league in goals, assists, and points with 59 goals, 94 assists and 153 points. 1932-1933 Standings1. Halifax2. Toronto3. Kingston4. Montreal Champion: Halifax (1) MVP: RW, Lester Wallman 1932-1933 Uniforms A few notes: This will be made in paint.net, so quality will be a little rough. I have uniforms completed for the next 3 years, and results until 1945, so I may post the standings first and the uniforms a bit later. Don't expect new stuff every day. Yes, these uniforms suck, but that's how they were back then. Trust me, they will get a lot better. C&C is encouraged! If you have any suggestions for teams or uniforms I'll take them, but they may have to wait because I have results done until 1945. Thank you very much for checking out my league, it really means a lot! - Dolphins91
  14. So, after feedback from those about my Stadium Series sweaters being too good to be Stadium Series apparel, I went back and looked at how to make the jerseys modern, yet keep the classic feel. I've narrowed it down to two sets, I feel they deserved their own thread as they won't have the Stadium Series Patch, nor the cream color. I've been a bit lazy in getting them posted, and today I look and see Demonkah's set, so they may appear a bit redundant, but still hopefully a little different. Here ya go. Home Sets: While A1 is strictly a classic look, with A2, I wanted to add a little flavor, and tried a white yoke, but wasn't feeling it, so tried gray and black and liked it. Not sure how others will feel about it. Road Sets: I really like both Road sets, but for me and B1, it's a teal-palooza. B2, adds a little contrast with the teal hem/sleeves and the black yoke. Which ones do you like? C&C is welcome as always.
  15. A couple years ago in the "Unpopular Opinions" thread, I mentioned that this is my favorite Sonics logo: I don't know what it is about it that I love so much. I like the fact that it actually represents the team's namesake (Supersonic jets developed by Boeing), the 60's simplicity of the design, and its sweeping motion of the jetstream. Of course, it has its problems, like the lack of yellow, the non-matching lettering font, and the over-simplicity of the jet and Space Needle (itself a landmark of the "Zeerust" aesthetic). So, I have updated it. I've shortened the jet stream to give the logo a more manageable size, switched the font to better reflect the two-color system, replaced all of the white with yellow, modified the Seattle Sounders' Space Needle graphic to provide better perspective to the building and give it more overall weight in the composition, and switched the dark green to kelly green (the color scheme used during the Sonics' most successful period of the late 70's through the 90's). The jet is based on the conceptual Boeing 2707. Here it is, in comparison to an SRGB-enhanced version of the original logo. It's only meant as a proof-of-concept, as it has yet to be properly polished. Also, I have updated the classic skyline logo to fit in with the new primary and reflect some of the buildings built after the original's debut: C+C is appreciated.
  16. Classic MLB Logos

I was thinking about doing a modernization of retired teams of the MLB. Here are the Boston Americans: http://static1.wikia.nocookie.net/sonic/images/9/95/Boston.gif And here are the Classic Baltimore Orioles: http://static3.wikia.nocookie.net/animalcrossing/images/7/7d/Retro-Orioles.gif Feedback please!

  18. Hey guys I created a 2015 Winter Classic logo for San Francisco (AT&T Park) to feature the San Jose Sharks and the Colorado Avalanche. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks! I designed the logo to feature the scoreboard in the stadium.
  19. Via this reddit submission, a fan's girlfriend's grandfather (exhale) found a chest full of pretty awesome Hartford Whalers/classic NHL stuff. Figured this community would enjoy it. Imgur link to full album Sorry for not posting more images, most of them are sideways.
  20. Vintage College Mascot Logos

Does anyone have a better version of this logo?
  21. When I heard that Great Britain would be participating in the next WBC, I wondered what that would be like if they played as four different states, like their FIFA counterparts. Here's a concept for England I just finished... I plan on doing the other ones too, Scotland, N. Ireland, and Wales. C&C appreciated, as always. Should I continue with this?
