  1. New LA Clippers logo (prototype)

As many (most?) of you know, the (vast) majority of people think the new/current Los Angeles Clippers logo sucks... and for good reason. But spontaneously - out of absolutely nowhere - I came up with a brilliant concept. If nobody has thought of this before, I might actually be surprised. (Maybe a little?) Well, check this one out! It's a prototype that exemplifies the best of minimalist design (which is the trend du jour), while incorporating elements that make way too much sense. And yes - the red and blue used here is EXACTLY the same as that used in the current and former Los Angeles Clippers logos. The logo looks like a boat, which is a stand-in for a Clipper ship - the Los Angeles Clippers, which were originally based in the naval city of San Diego (as the San Diego Clippers), borrows its nickname from the aforementioned seafaring vessel. The logo incorporates a stylized "LA" (which you can see here), and the bottom of the logo incorporates a part of a basketball, which is commonplace for NBA logos. (By my count, two-thirds of all NBA teams have this as part of their primary logo.) Not to brag, but I say that this idea is too good to ignore. If someone improves upon this design and it gets some serious press, I've done my job already. Thoughts? Disclaimer: This work, illustrated herein, is an entirely original concept by sj10689 (the original author of this thread); any other logos/designs which have already been created prior to the posting of this comment, that bear any (striking) similarity, or is (almost) exactly the same, constitutes a circumstance which is purely coincidental. Therefore, as sj10689 is verily the creator of this work, which was not in any way inspired by, nor copied from any other pre-existing works, sj10689 assumes full ownership of this property. P.S.: I go by "Adam_Halverson" outside the forums, on sportslogos.net. I reposted this concept on the Los Angeles Clippers primary logo page.
  2. LA Clippers Rebrand

Los Angeles Clippers Rebrand, any feedback would be appreciated
  3. The switch to Nike gave me the idea to create my first project, make my version of NBA jerseys. Maybe it's a little bit ambitious with my studies which take me a lot of time, but i'll do the maximum. I will do Association , Icon and Alternate/Community jerseys for each team. C&C are appreciated ! TABLE OF CONTENTS - Portland Trail Blazers (Icon) - LA Clippers (Association, Icon, Alt1) PORTLAND TRAIL BLAZERS - ICON
  4. LA Clippers Rebrand

While recently brainstorming on how to improve the Clips horrendous rebrand, i came up with this idea for a simple clipper ship logo with LAC worked into the sails. C&C appreciated!
  5. It's been quite a while since I posted a concept! Many aren't too excited about the new Clippers logo, so I thought I would take a stab at it. The clipper ship connection has been gone a long time so I wanted to at least try to bring that back in some way. There are a lot of great concepts out there showing ships, so I'm trying a different angle here. I am not sure I like the compass rose on the B version, but variants like a ship's wheel were not working at that size. I may put some sails, a la their old logo, but again, the small size might not help. I don't want to put a generic star or circle in place if I don't have to. Enjoy and give comments.
  6. Just A Quick Clippers Post

Hello again. Awhile back (during the summer) i posted a clippers logo concept because i didn't like the re-brand that they have gone with (still don't). i had fun creating my concept, but i was still new to creating logos an such and i know they weren't very good. some time after i posted the initial concept i started working on another clippers re-brand just to try and improve on making my work. i came up with three concepts, granted one is just a rehash of the San Diego Clippers logo just modernized with a new Font and colors. 2 of them i made the same day made apparent by the Font used and the other was made before those 2 during the time that i was working on my USPBL concept (my fictional basketball league). these were all made rather quickly and i didn't really smooth out the bumps so im sorry for the overall sloppiness but i just wanted to know what some of you thought of them. so without further ado here are the logos C&C always appreciated.
  7. LA Clippers Redesign

Hello! Here's my redesign of the Los Angeles Clippers Organization. Feel free to critique.
  8. Los Angeles Clippers Nautical Concept (UPDATED)

Hello all, this is my first post on Sportslogos.net and I am very excited to finally be able to share my concepts with the people on this site. I look forward to any comments and constructive criticism. The following concept is one that I came up with for the Los Angeles Clippers who as we all know received a downright awful rebrand a few weeks ago. I feel that my design better represents the Clippers motif than the design that was actually chosen. My concept includes a primary logo and a secondary logo... As well as a set of uniforms including a home jersey... A pair of road jerseys... A Back in Blue Alternate... And Finally a newly designed Court. Thank you for viewing my work and I look forward to your thoughts.
  9. LA CLIPPERS REDESIGN CONCEPT

With all the recent contests running for the rebrand of the LA Clippers, I wanted to join in on the fun. My concept has been online for about a week now and has received some cool reviews. I originally had designed it for a contest run by the LA Times. Not saying mine is better or worse than what the Clippers are using, this was just my take on the brand and the direction I would take with it. I really respect the opinions of the community on this site. Love to hear any thoughts or general convo about any other NBA teams that could use a rebrand. Thanks!
  10. MY Clippers Re-brand (FINAL)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ORIGINAL POST: I decided to throw my hat in the ring for the Clippers' new look. This is just the rough draft right now, and I'll get into more detail (logos, uniforms, wordmark, numbers) later, but let me know what ya think...
  11. Hey guys as you all know the clippers are going with a new logo and overall redesign of the team. i decided to take what they had and just add one thing to it, and that one thing was a tie in to the teams name of Clippers. i like roundel logos and i hope the entire NBA goes to or in some cases back to them that for all teams. the clippers new logo was missing the identity of the team so i i darkened the blue and lightened the red, removed the "LAC" and added an anchor to the center of the basketball logo and for a secondary logo i turned the ball on its and add a clipper and "LA" logo to the center and i really want to know what everyone thinks so without further ado... C&C always welcomed.

  14. After the NBA released this year's uniforms that the 10 teams will where on Christmas day, I was left wanting more. I think so much more creativity could be utilized to make these uniforms memorable. I then decided to mock up my own concepts for this year's Christmas Day games, with a strong Christmas theme displayed in each piece. Shortly after this post, I will just go ahead and post all of the match-ups at one time. I ask that you refrain from focusing on the sleeved/sleeveless discussion as it is not the focus here. Upon request I can also provide my ai. template for the uniforms that I made from scratch, I just ask that in return you give me (tbdaniel15) credit when you use it for your own work. Thanks guys, and enjoy!
  15. Oh great, the last thing we need is the Oprah Clippers of Los Angeles.http://espn.go.com/los-angeles/nba/story/_/id/10874138/donald-sterling-embattled-owner-los-angeles-clippers-says-wishes-had-paid-woman-off
  16. Clippers logo and court design.

Hey guys, I decided to rebrand the Los Angeles Clippers. I decided to go with a nautical theme for the logo. One of the top three logos (where it says option#1, #2, and #3) would be the main logo, while the bottom two would be alternate logos. If you could, please vote on one of the top three logos. I could not decide which one I liked best, so I thought I'd leave it up to you. Leave feedback on any of these! Also, I would like to get some ideas on how to improve the court design. Especially the center court logo; it looks a little weird to me. Thanks guys!
  17. What do I do?

Hey... I'll admit this, I barely know how the Ducks and Clippers are doing and have only watched a handful of their games. Same with the Steelers. I still consider me a fan of these teams, but I'm not really following them. I think it's because I can't really watch them in Iowa, I only had Sunday Ticket for a season and usually a Bears game would be on because my parents and little brother are Bears fans. The NBA and NHL have something similar, and while I think I would like it, I doubt I'd get it, because it adds alot to the bill. DirectTV gave us the local channels which contain Ducks and Clippers games for awhile, but they stopped carrying it for some reason, which I don't understand. So in short, I'm wondering what I should do. Stop considering me a sports fan? Switch favorite teams? Or should I find a way to watch them legally without paying money, which I think is impossible. Can you guys help me out without bias towards your teams?
  18. I've decided to make a master thread for compiling my random NBA concepts. So...yeah, here we go. Los Angeles Clippers Logos | Home | Road | Alt | Court Phoenix Suns Logos | Home | Road | Alt | Court Dallas Mavericks Home | Road | Alt | Court Indiana Pacers Home | Road | Alt 1 | Alt 2 | Alt 3 | Court Seattle Supersonics Logos | Home | Road | Alt | Court Sacramento Kings Logos | Home | Road | Alt | Court
  19. Well it's been awhile, but I'm finally back with some new material. This Los Angeles Clippers Identity Concept has been in the works for a few months now...between looking for an internship and moving to London for four months to study abroad I haven't had a ton of free time. But that's enough of my personal life...to the concept! I tried to mix the different eras of Clippers basketball. The primary logo is obviously inspired by the team's original logo, back when they were in San Diego. The script is similar to their current one, but a little cleaner and not slanted. The LAC secondary (or tertiary here) remains, but with some tweaks for beater readability. The number and NOB font stays the same. As for the uniforms, I wanted to go for simplicity. A single, thin stripe down the sides, similar to their previous set, that flares out slightly at the ends. The primary logo (sans-script) appears on both sides of the shorts. Now, my big problem is choosing a color scheme. I started out with their current red and blue with a little silver added in for a little extra depth, but then tried out the powder blue and orange color scheme they wore originally. So I'll post both and see what everyone thinks. So, without further adieu... Red/Blue: Logos | Home | Road | Alternate Powder/Orange: Logos | Home | Road | Alternate
  20. LA Clippers Concept: Home Jersey Update

I been ekeing out a Clippers concept for a while and found inspiration from their San Diego days. Not to sure about the placement of the word mark though.
