  1. NFL 2018 changes

Any and all predictions/feedback welcome. I have heard where the Titans are planning a slight rebrand. What are some other trends we can expect in the fall? Will #ColorRush still be a part of most Thursday night games? What changes introduced in 2017 will carry over (eg--the Saints wearing black jerseys all the time at home, the Chargers wearing navy pants at home and white on the road)? Will the Cowboys wear their often-jinxed blue jerseys more than once at home? I'm looking forward to everyone's input.
  2. Nike NFL Jersey concepts

Hi all, I got bored one-day and decided to use Nike's teambuilder website to re-design some NFL uniforms Up first: The Carolina Panthers I like Carolina's design right now. Simple and clean. I wanted to keep that going and add a little to it. The home jerseys stay black with white numbers and a light blue outline. However I added the Panthers across front in light blue and put some light blue sleeves on it. Also a light blue/white stripe across the middle. The away jersey follows the same design as the home jersey with a some color swaps to fit the jersey. The alt light-blue jersey also works as the color rush jersey. Let me know what you guys think! Next up will be the Arizona Cardinals
  3. Lions Concept after photos leaked

After studying the leaked photo from the Lions, I came up with the following. I hope they don't over embellish the number font like the Lions current uniforms or the Vikings. And it looks like they might have chrome face masks. At least I hope so. I feel the helmet would be too similar to the Cowboys if they went with a grey face mask.
  4. NCAA Color Rush by CinnamonRoll21

There are a couple of ncaa color rush concepts on the boards. I was going to do this a lot earlier, so don't think I'm trying to steal anyone's concepts. These will be hand drawn. Constructive criticism is appreciated, I will be free to take request. Also, I will only be doing colleges sponsored by Nike. Hope you like them Ohio State
  5. NCAA Color Rush

Hello, A couple of days I was thinking about the "Color Rush" unis that the NFL teams use. I wondered how major NCAA teams would look with these flashy sets. I did a quick search, and found BKKnight95's old thread about NCAA Color Rush unis. If you would like to see his, Click Here. Anyways, I decided to give a crack at it, and came up with a pretty nice set for Georgia. Here it is. List: Georgia (Edited) Georgia Tech (Edited)
  6. Hey guys, I'm new to the site and this is my first post. I was hoping to get some feedback/thoughts on my Philadelphia Eagles Color Rush Concept Uniform. I tried to pay homage to past Eagles uniforms /logos/colors and show them in a more modern light. Your feed back is much appreciated. Try to ignore the fact that it is Tyrod Taylor haha
  7. Flash back to 2009. My late grandmother was in town, and we decided to take her to Tropicana Field to see a World Series rematch between the Rays and the Phillies. Two things I remember about that day is that we got a baseball card made with her picture on it, and she could not for the life of her make out what teams were which sitting in left field because the grey is really really light. Baseball teams play 162+ games a year, they have throwback games, and some teams wear their colored alts more than their regular uniforms. So let's have a little fun, and go all the way. I started a group text chat with a couple young professional designers a few months ago, and over time we titled ourselves the Neat-O Gang. We always talk about doing a collaboration, but this is the real first one we do. You'll see my concepts, but you'll also see ones by my buddies. They'll link their twitters when they post their concepts. Pretend Nike signed a deal with the MLB for next year. Let's just say they're for weeknight games where the crowd might be smaller than normal. We're going to post some colorful alternate uniforms for all 30 teams, no matter the history. The colored uniforms can be worn as a road team against a white team, or as a home team forcing the other team to wear their Color Rush uniforms. So put on some sunglasses and sit back! Quick shout out to MJD7, I had this idea for a few months but they just completed their color rush concepts and I didn't want to steal their thunder. 8. According to various outlets (I believe Icethetics as well as Chris Creamer), the NHL will be ditching all of the currently in use third jerseys once the league's uniforms are taken over by Adidas. So with this in mind, I am dedicating this series to reintroduce the "third" or "alternate" jersey back in to the league. While we don't know the extent to which Adidas will be making changes to each team's uniforms, my goal is to incorporate certain simplistic and templated trends that have been apparent in Reebok's latest unveiled uniforms to make this series realistic without limiting creativity. In addition to most of the alternates that will be unveiled, I will be taking a page out of Nike's "Color Rush" campaign, and introduce "Colorway" uniforms that are meant to bring out each team's unique color identity. 9. NFL Color Rush Redesigns

If your like me you probably thought the color rush was "okay" ,but for most teams nike could have done better so this is supposed to be a series where I will try to either: A ) give teams who didn't get a real "color rush" jersey an actual one. (ex, teams with white or black unless black is their actual team color like the saints or steelers) B ) give teams an actual new uniform (ex: Eagles, 49ers, etc.) C ) give teams an away one for teams who wont wear their actual ones this year(ex: Falcons, Texans, etc) D ) give teams who have horrible ones *Cough Redskins *Cough ones that are at least bearable. I will also be following all the current color rush rules so that mean no different colored helmets. now given all those rules I will still probably end up doing all the teams First of is the Eagles: Philadelphia Eagles: I went with a faux-back look with their old 70s and early 80s jerseys but switched the kelly green with midnight in order for it to match with the helmet. Home I love this look honestly and would be very happy if the Eagles went with this in real live. would also look really good against the Giants this year. Away I don"t know why I made an all white look but it does look good except it looks like the packers color rush with grey instead of yellow. I dont know who im going to do next so if you want me to do someone just ask. Also big thanks to @bigmike for letting me use his template. P.s.(this is most likely going to be a series but due to limited time i have at the moment i wouldn't expect these to come out every day)
  10. Color Rush Redesign (All matchups added)

Hey everyone, so I had an idea on how to improve the NFL's Color Rush games a bit so I threw a few concepts together and ran with it. Like most people I was pretty underwhelmed with a lot of the designs; some were great but a lot were uninspired. Not to mention we're to week 4 of the season and we haven't even seen a legit color rush matchup yet. So to remedy that here are my rules: -Unis are still monochrome; jersey, pants, and socks are all the same color. Helmets can't change color, facemasks and helmet decals can. -Every team gets two uniforms; one solid colored uniform and a whiteout alt for matchups that clash or when both teams feature the same colored jersey -Team wordmarks and TV numbers are optional -If a team's CR jersey is the same color are their standard home, it will likely be fauxback-inspired -Both uniforms don't have to be color swapped versions of each other. Since most teams already have a whiteout option I thought it'd be boring to slap white socks onto their away unis and call it a day. One uni might be a throwback and the other might be something totally different. I'll figure it out as I go. Ok here we go: LA Rams: I dig the Rams' yellow set so there aren't many changes. Got rid of the toilet seat collar and the pant stripe is solid navy to eliminate all the white for the uniiform. For the whiteout it is a fauxback to their blue and white set of the 60's(?), complete white a white facemask and helmet decals: New Orleans Saints: The Saints' Color Rush is probably my favorite so the whiteout doesn't change, and I simply made a blackout version of that for their second set: San Francisco 49ers: They probably have one of the worst Color Rush sets so I completely scrapped it and went with a set inspired by their uniforms worn in 1994. Thanks for looking, feedback is always appreciated, I'll add teams whenever inspiration hits.
  11. I'm a few weeks late to the party but oh well, at least I showed up. Anyways, I like the idea behind the Color Rush games, but think the exection is a few pennies short of a dollar. So basically, I'll take a matchup and make it look all colorful. I'm staying in the lines on this one, meaning I'm working within the Color Rush rules, which unfortunately means I have to obey the one helmet rule. Except the one difference is that regardless of design, every team will be on the Vapor Untouchable template. So starting with the first CR game: Jets vs Bills: So this matchup last year was my personal favorite of the CR games, except for the fact that the colorblind community had a tough time with it. -all blue for the bills, nothing too new except the facemask is blue -jets go all kelly green (the better of the greens) with the striped socks. Don't like blue or green, I have a solution : So we go red vs white. Kind of defeats the idea of "color" rush but we saw what Red vs Green did... -same thing for the bills with a red facemask -also same for the jets, with the white facemask and striped socks. C & C on these, and Houston/New England will be up next.
  12. Since the Color Rush uniforms debuted last week I have been thinking of ways to improve them. That being said, I am pretty much opposed to the whole Color Rush idea on principle. I hate the mono look of the socks pants and shoes, but since the NFL is rolling with it I decided to go ahead and try to come up with uniforms that I cold live with but also adhere to the silly Color Rush program's guidelines. I'm a week late getting these started, but the plan is to release each matchup on Wednesday of every week there is a TNF Color Rush game and release the uniforms for the Colts, Redskins and Lions throughout the season. Here's the schedule just for reference: Week 2: Bills vs Jets Week 3: Patriots vs Texans Week 4: Dolphins vs Bengals Week 5:Cardinals vs 49ers Week 6: Broncos vs Chargers Week 7: Bears vs Packers Week 8: Titans vs Jaguars Week 9: Falcons vs Buccaneers Week 10: Browns vs Ravens Week 11: Saints vs Panthers Week 12: Thanksgiving (Lions, Redskins, Colts) Week 13: Cowboys vs Vikings Week 14: Raiders vs Chiefs Week 15: Rams vs Seahawks Week 16: Giants vs Eagles So without further ado, Here is the first Color Rush matchup: I had a hard time deciding whether to put the Bills in blue or red, but since they have mad wearing mono-blue a regular occurrence, red was the way to go. The striping is different than the current but hearkens back to the striping of the Jim Kelly-era uniforms. The Jets are in all white to avoid another colorblind fiasco. However, they are not just wearing their regular white uniforms as the green has been changed to kelly green which the Jets have used throughout their history (and hopefully future). The predominately white logo is a throwback to the 1964 season. I also have the uniform matchup for the second Color Rush game to present today. This matchup features the Houston Texans and New England Patriots: I didn't really change much of the Patriots uniforms besides adding some sock stripes and changing the white stripes to silver, So this one is less of a concept and more of a tweak, hopefully for the better. I was actually pretty disappointed in the Texans for what I thought was a lazy attempt at a color rush. The Texans are in white which I though would be the best backdrop to showcase the red and blue team colors, especially with the Patriots in blue. I used the logo as inspiration for the sleeve design and striping as well as the socks, which I realize now might not be Color Rush Kosher? Anyway thanks for taking a look and I'd love to hear your c&c or other input anyone has PS: I know the first two are traditional color vs white matchups, but there will be plenty of color in the future.
  13. NFL Color Rush Uniforms

I decided to try 4 NFL Color Rush Uniforms. Let me know what you think. This was done rather quickly, so expect some errors.
  14. After finishing my Uni-Swap Series, I got the itch to keep making baseball concepts. Thus, I present the MLB Color Rush series. Inspired by the NFL series of the same name, I will be designing monochrome (solid-color jerseys and pants) uniforms for all 30 MLB teams. Please provide C&C; I want to know what works and what doesn't--where I should add piping, where I should remove it, etc. We start today with the Mariners and Padres, AKA the "Vedder Cup."
  15. Yes, I am throwing my hat into the ring with some "Color Rush" jerseys of myself. Since St. Louis and Tampa Bay have wrapped up the reveals for 2015, the first of my concepts will be modifying the actual uniforms to fit the "rules" of my series. First and foremost, and I'm sure most of you can agree with me here, I do not like monochrome. Especially from head neck to toe. That being said, I am going to follow a set of guidelines, or "rules," if you will, that cater to generating aesthetically pleasing uniforms full of color. RULES: 1. No white in the uniforms - Yes, I am going to attempt this series completely void of white, with the exceptions of logos and when working with teams that only use one color and white (i.e. Indianapolis and New York Jets). 2. Color from head to toe - This does include the helmet (See Rule #1). This is a concept series, and, therefore, I do not care about the NFL's "one helmet rule." 3. Colors available for use are colors that the team has worn in the past or present - there will be no new colors generated 4. No modifications to existing logos other than color (i.e. St. Louis Rams, as seen in the first concept) - All 32 teams will be using their current logos. -and most importantly- 5. NO MONOCHROME Well, alright, let's get this thing going. NFL COLOR RUSH #1: ST. LOUIS RAMS I saw a Rams concept on these very boards not too long ago that I really liked. I apologize for not remembering who did it, but I remember commenting on it, so, to whoever it is: credit to you, sir for the inspiration. Honestly, I've had this idea floating around for awhile. Initially I wanted to see how the uniform would look with the horns on the sleeves but my fear of Nike's awkward templates and cuts cutting off the horns led me to change my mind. The idea of the uniform is primarily based upon the Los Angeles Rams' uniforms from the 50's and later for the NFL's 75th anniversary in 1994. I utilized the bold single pant stripe from the L.A.'s 1964-72 blue and white uniforms. The numerals are based off of the current St. Louis Rams' numbers; they're modern yet not over-the-top like some number fonts in the NFL. The helmet is basically what the Rams have worn in both L.A. and during their "Greatest Show on Turf" times in St. Louis. The only exception is the shade of blue, which I have changed to match the royal blue used in the logo and on the pants. Thanks for viewing. Tell me what ya think!
  16. Another Rams' concept, this time inspired (sorta) from the color rush uniforms. Part of my continuing attempts to create a set of uniforms that would look like the beautiful 50's uniforms at home, and the also beautiful 80's road uniforms on the road. Feedback appreciated.
  17. Week 11 was one of the weakest...ahem...weeks we've seen so far this season. We had some good looking match ups - including a bit of a surprise at the number one slot on the best list - one real disaster, and not a whole lot else. So place your bids and let's play our game. As always, your mileage may vary. Best: 1. Chiefs - Chargers: Every once in a while, a match up comes along that makes it pretty easy for me to overlook all the things I don't like about the current Chargers uniforms. The blue alts in the San Diego sunshine against the Chiefs in all white is one of those match ups. 2. Packers - Vikings: How much did I like KC - San Diego? So much that this match up between two top 5 uniforms only managed to take the #2 spot this week. I'll have to check with BrandMooreArt, but I think it's OK if I refer to the Vikings as modern uniform. Anyway, I think the Vikings are the perfect example of what a modern look should be. The Packers are still considered a traditional look, right? 3. Jets - Texans: I'd like this game more if the Jets had gone with all white, but the green pants work pretty well when matched up against the Texans home uniforms. The Texans are one of those rare teams that got their uniforms right on the first try. Great helmet too. 4. Washington - Carolina: Speaking of getting it right on the first try, the Panthers did a pretty good job out the gate too. When you get it right from the start, you only need to make a tweak here and there to stay "current." I'm probably in the minority, but I don't miss Washington's burgundy pants at all. The gold is so much better. 5. Bills - Patriots: I think this game would have looked even better if it had been played in natural light. Still a really good looking game. Worst: 1. Titans - Jaguars: I was tempted to just post this... and move along to the #2 game on this list. Anyway, this game was almost as ugly as the first dose of "Color Rush" we were subjected to. That said, I think the Jags jerseys and pants work as separate uniform elements. The jersey would look pretty good with white pants. The pants would look pretty good with a black or white jersey. My BAFS/BASS cohost, Zach/Still MIGHTY described the Titans look perfectly when he referred to it as "pajamas." 2. Bengals - Cards: Until BrandMooreArt establishes something a little less cumbersome than "Reebok NFL era designs" as the proper terminology for this type of look, I'm going to refer to them as what they are - ugly. There's a lot to work with here. Both teams have great colors and great helmets. The problems are the ugly stripes, ugly piping, and pointless, ugly panels. Both teams could shoot right to the top of any best looking list by simply going back to the looks they had in the 80's. Until then, both looks are dated and ugly. That's it for this week, Thanks for taking the time to stop by.
  18. After the horrendous NFL 'Color Rush' jerseys, my friend TheArtfulJB, creator of the OrdinarieO© hat series, decided to create a Color Rush version of his hats, found on his Tumblr and Instagram pages, and with his permission, I was able to create some Color Rush NHL Jerseys, based on his logos and designs! They're still a work in progress, so keep that in mind, but whenever I finish a design or two, I will post them here! OrdinarieO© on Tumblr / Instagram DT Concepts on Tumblr / Instagram More coming soon!
  19. Anybody who had ever read one of my posts will not be surprised to hear that I considered Thursday night's inaugural "Color Rush" game to be a huge eyesore. IMO it failed on numerous levels. However, if this is something the NFL wants to go forward with, I thought I'd see if I could come up with something that would make me, at least, happy. One thing that gives me hope is the use of the term "historic colors" in the NFL's promotional language, and the fact that the Cowboys are doing a throwback, of sorts. (A throwback to one of their dumbest and most over rated jersey IMHO, but still...) So with that in mind, I thought I'd search the archives for some older looks that could be manipulated into this concept. I started with the NFC North because it's the best dressed division, currently, and (except for Detroit) all had monochrome uniforms in their histories. So, here we go... Thoughts?
