  1. I've prepared some NHL concepts where I try and refresh team branding and uniforms. I'm trying to make the rest of the league fall more in line with what I've come to expect from Adidas. All teams get *some* sort of change from their current (Reebok) uniforms, although a few don't see much change at all (ie. Flyers, Leafs). I will accept C&C but I don't plan on making revisions to the uniforms unless I really feel compelled. I will be adding "Marquee Matchups" where teams use special uniforms. This is where C&C would be most useful, in suggesting matchups, uniforms, revisions, etc. I will use this first post as a HUB for the concepts: Metropolitan Battle of New York (NYI v NYR) Keystone Classic (PHI @ PIT) Stevens' Cup (WAS + MIN @ NJD) Ohio Classic (PIT @ CBJ) Atlantic Tribute (NJD v PHI) All-American Clash (STL v NYR) Atlantic Battle of Ontario (TOR v OTT) Governor's Cup (FLA v TBL) All-American Clash (WAS v DET) International Classic (BOS @ MTL) Norris Cup (CHI v DET) Hartford Classic (CAR v BUF) Central All-American Clash (NSH v COL) International Classic (VAN @ CHI) All-American Clash (MIN v STL) Battle of Wisconsin (MIN v CHI) All-Canadian Clash (TOR v WPG) Star Series (MIN v DAL) Pacific California Series (ANA + SJS @ LAK) Battle of Alberta (CGY v EDM) Battle of the Desert (ARI v VGK) Marquee of '93 (FLA v ANA) All-American Clash (VGK v LAK) Pacific Territories (SJS v VAN)
  2. Here is a shirt design of mine that is currently up and running on Cotton Bureau! I would love some C&C and if would appreciate it greatly if you shared the link or bought one! LINK: https://cottonbureau.com/products/roam-on Original artwork: LINK: https://cottonbureau.com/products/roam-on
  3. In the past year, I've been strategizing on a project involving a professional volleyball league. It would be called the World Volleyball Association and act as a nod to the International Volleyball Association of the 1970s. Many of the teams in this new league would have brands similar to the 1970s counterpart but take on a modern identity. This project is meant to help build my design portfolio after I graduate from VCU and any comments or suggestions are appreciated. I plan on making this project on an extended timeline but I wanted to at least share my idea for the league's official emblem. Backstory: Since this league would be a direct descendant of the original International Volleyball Association, I wanted to introduce a palette of 1970s pastel colors, a groovy yet futuristic typeface, and a stylistic reference of two opposing sides facing of inside of superimposed tennis court. The orange roundel encompassing the other elements of this design are meant to act as a globe. Seeing as the league would be "represented" on a global level with co-ed rosters, it would act as a message of unity.

Sunsets are awesome. They're beautiful, majestic, and one of the coolest thing nature gives us. Since we all love sunsets, it only fits that there's one on a shirt! The colors on the design are color-picked directly from a picture of a sunset I took. Essentially, I took the simplicity and beauty of a sunset and put it on a shirt. Now, I am proud to say that my design "Summer Sunset" is live on cotton bureau. HERE: https://cottonbureau.com/products/summer-sunset For those of you who don't know how cotton bureau works, designs are submitted by designers, then either accepted or rejected. If accepted, their design will be "live" (able to buy on a t-shirt)) for 2 weeks, in which 12 shirts must be sold in order for the shirt to go to print. "Summer Sunset" is available to buy NOW!, but only for a limited time. HERE: https://cottonbureau.com/products/summer-sunset The design looks like this: On a shirt (also available on heather gray or white): I am always looking to get better, so C&C is appreciated. You can get one HERE: https://cottonbureau.com/products/summer-sunset If you don't actually buy one, but still like the design, do me a huge favor and share this link: https://cottonbureau.com/products/summer-sunset or even the link to this post. Thank you for your support!
  5. Everybody knows the news that Under Armor will be taking over the MLB jerseys in 2019, but I had the idea to think of a world in which Nike was running the MLB. This is that world; vibrant, creative, and very unique. Some of these designs will be off the wall, while others will put a modern, yet classic twist on timeless jerseys. This is my first major project, and I fully intend to complete this to the very end, so constant C&C will be very helpful and appreciated. I have no particular order for which I will be unveiling these teams, basically whatever comes to mind for me, or if you'd like, you can request a team and I'll see about getting to it! First up we have the Miami Marlins. What I've done here is tried to create a blend of the old logo set and the new one. I boiled it down to just three colors, black, orange, and light blue. Occasionally I will use gray as an outline or accent color, but those are the main three. So without further ado, here is the first set of logos for MLB by Nike. Thanks for looking and C&C is greatly appreciated.
  6. I have two game-worn jerseys of my favorite childhood athlete wasting away in a drawer and I really want to step up and frame them for my office... my father is a high-end woodworker, so I am good on the hardware, I am eyeing all the UV-protecting class and non-acid backing, etc, and I will probably bite the bullet on having a professional mount everything... but I am more interested in the conceptual side since I will want to design the actual layout myself... does anyone have any framed jerseys in their home/office? Any pics of your setups or general advice? Any tips are appreciated!
  7. Back in 2016 I started a new hand drawn series that unfortunately stalled at 18 concepts. Dwindling inspiration, dissatisfaction with some the concepts and the decision to add helmet designs made me pull the plug and take a much needed break. Now I am back with a new series that I am truly proud of. I can say with complete confidence that I have given this new series every thing I have. I began working on new concepts at the start of 2017 and work has continued to this day. All 31 teams will be tackled and I plan on posting a new concept each day. Currently, 25 teams are completed so there will not a drop-off in material as there was on my last thread. I will kick things off with a team that just made its first Conference Final. Nashville Predators The Predators almost got things perfect with their 2011 redesign but a few bad decisions have them currently sitting in the middle of the pack. I removed the unnecessary piping and went with simple, traditional stripes. The Predators made gold more prominent on their road socks in 2013 so I decided to apply this change to the rest of the road uniform. It was tempting to go with a Navy alternate but I really wanted to make them the de-facto Gold team. The alternate adds silver to tip the hat to the pre 2011-look and the 3D logo has received a simplification in the same vein as the current primary. C & C welcome, thanks for looking .
  8. Bison Bros Adventure Company: A recent idea of my friend and I's, to start an outdoor adventure brand. We came up with the name Bison Bros Adventure Co. and decided to build off that. Here is a proposed logo, went from more of a simple, easily recognizable mark. Thoughts? I have some others drawn up but this is what we all like so far. Version 2:
  9. GRIZZLY BEAR HEAD LOGO - Just for practice, decided to try my hand and a grizzly logo! - Traced an image from online, no hand drawn steps, as that hadn't helped me out with a falcon I decided to simply trace it in illustrator instead. - Eyes and Nose aren't to my liking but cant seem to find a better way to portray them both. - Teeth may look to "sharp" or Cartoony? But help the fierceness IMO. C&C Much Appreciated/Needed Inspiration Image:
  10. So I was originally going to abstain from posting this, but I could really have another set of eyes look at it. - Drew Inspiration from mountains clearly - To Be used as watermark on my photographs and work design. - Uses my initials, HK. Lemme know what you think!
  11. My concept for an athlete log like Lebron, Chris Paul, RG3, etc... I think I have a good start, want to get some feedback on it. Put it in the Cardinals colors, cause well, we need him haha.
  12. Hey all This is my first post and this is a little something I did in Microsoft paint. I recolored the Mariners logo and replaced the teal with more of a bright green. The 2 logos in the top right are the cap logos, couldn't decide which would fit better. Feedback would be much appreciated!
  13. So to go along with my re brand proposal to my high school, I am making a Falcon logo which is our mascot. I have the general shape down to what I really like, but am struggling with all the little details. Included is the vectored shape, and the sketch of what I have so far! I could really use some advice on this.
  14. I am trying to create a solid brand for my High School, Catalina Foothills to propose to the AD. I have emailed him, and he told me in person that it is on his radar for sure. So far I have gotten a basic idea which was hand drawn, and then I digitalized what would be the secondary mark which is the CF monogram. Down the line I hope to create a solid Falcon logo, as pur current one is very outdated! Colors: Royal, Silver, White, Black (sometimes). The black in the case looks much better for right now. (I may go a different route with the "font style" but for now this is it. Current Logo:
  15. I I am a student of arts and I want to start my career as a designer. Can you suggest me some good tools which I need to master before I enter my career. I haven’t decided which field I would be working for, but I don’t want to restrict myself to one domain only. I know that designers use different software for different industries. For example, if I have to make a custom logo design, I need to learn logo maker, adobe illustrator, logo smartz etc. But what if I have to make a banner? I can’t use the same software’s right. So can you guys list me some essential software which can help me irrespective of the industry I choose.

  17. Hey guys, I just got the Adobe suite of software and will primarily be playing around with Illustrator and Photoshop. I used to have one of the older Photoshops about a decade ago so I am confident I will be able to pick that up and learn it fairly easily. However, Illustrator seems a good bit different from what I've known out of Inkscape the last 6-7 years or so. I'm struggling to figure out how different file types interact from one program to the other. For example, I had some .svg files made in Inkscape that I wanted to try to import into Illustrator and mess with, perhaps fine tune them, etc...but they don't seem to convert well. Any tips for this? Any general help or tips would be much appreciated. I am excited to try my hand with this new tool but it appears there will be a decent learning curve from what I have known previously with Inkscape.
  18. Me & my gf are joining a hockey league and I want to make her a custom pink jersey for Xmas with out cat (Catface) as the logo... still needs to be rendered/vectored, but figured I would look for feedback first! And if anyone has any embroidery/jersey hookups, I would appreciate some guidance!
  19. Hey guys, I'm new to this site and would like to give a formal greeting to you all! I would also like to see if I could get some ideas/ creative criticism for this logo I designed just as a side project for Salisbury University. I recently graduated and was never really happy with the original logo (Which you can find online; it's like 50 years old hahaha) . I wanted something that kept with our original seagull but was strong and iconic for our university. Let me know what you think!
  20. Hey Guys! Today I have a concept for the Pittsburgh Condors basketball team. I'm a big fan of Pittsburgh sport teams and think they can expand to other sports, like the NBA. I wanted to pick a team name that had some history in the city. I chose the ABA's 1970-72 Pittsburgh Condors. Previously known as the Pipers. The logos I've designed mirrors the city of champions with the good old Black and Gold. I went with Wing-Theme to be slightly different from the Hawks and Pelicans. With the basketball logo, I had to give a nod to the ABA Condors so they are not completely forgotten. ( Although their logo should ) Hope you like this one! ABA 1970-1972 Logo: NBA Pittsburgh Condors 2017 Logo: C&C Welcome!
  21. Here are my designs for the 18 teams competing in the German Bundesliga in the 2016/2017 season. Each team has three kits, C&C is welcomed. FYI the bundesliga patches are only on the left sleeve which is what is normal for the league teams are allowed to sell the other sleeve space for advertising and therefore each team could be different and they haven't been seen yet so I left the right sleeve blank. Hope y'all enjoy, I am looking for a lot of feedback, I will try to explain my designs to the best of my ability so its clear the direction I intended. I will be posting in alphabetical order.
  22. Hello, this is my second thread that I have started. I have an international kit thread going as well if you want to check it out. This thread will be my design concepts for the teams in MLS, this include all 20 current teams plus Atlanta United, Minnesota United, and LAFC All concepts have a Home, Away, and Third kit C&C is welcome
  23. MINNESOTA TIMBERWOLVES NEW LOGO CONCEPT Growing up i've always been a fan of the Timberwolves and what they've done with their branding. I've always liked their logos, colors, court designs, elements of their jerseys, etc. I think they have done a pretty nice job overall over the years. With the Timberwolves rebranding next season, I wanted to try my own version of their logos. I've always been a fan of their original logo, but felt that it needed some tweaks to really make it pop. I have two different mockups that i've done; classic revamp of the their original logo vs. tweak of current secondary logo. I wanted to try and focus on the blue, green, and white colors with the use of black as an alternate color. What do you think of these concepts? Any critiques, suggestions, improvements are encouraged. Thanks guys! Enjoy! Matt
  24. I'm slowly learning the ropes to photoshop. After what took over two hours I managed to make a personal logo for myself. It's nothing special, just black and white with a hidden "TC" like the old Hartford Whalers logo.
