  1. Charlotte Checkers Concepts

HJC just finished up their contest called The Season, where you anonymously create a concept that goes into a round-robin where readers vote on which jersey they like more. I picked a random team, which ended up being the Charlotte Checkers. My goal for these concepts was to create a similar but not identical look to the parent club Hurricanes, and to incorporate a checkerboard pattern, since it's right there in the name. The first set on the top was my round-robin set. I used a off-colour shoulder with checkers as stripes. This ended up finishing second in the group, earning a playoff spot. The bottom set was for the playoffs. I went with a black home just to change things up, and created a new pattern, featuring two seperate checker patterns. It unfortunately couldn't get to the final, but I was still happy with the design. So what do you guys think? C&C is appreciated!
  2. Toledo Walleye Concept

Taking a small break from my New Look series to post this. Over at HJC, they recently had a Toledo Walleye Redesign Comp, and this was my entry. IMO the walleye have one of the best minor league identities in sports, so I didn't change too much. I kept the navy cuffs/hem on both jerseys, but made the striping pattern more traditional, but with a minor league feel. there are yokes on both jerseys, and I used the realistic-looking walleye as the main crest. The double-hook logo is on the shoulders. Not much else to say. C&C welcome.
  3. Taking a small break from my city mashup series in order for me to complete my concepts for HJC's World Hockey Jersey Championship. First up is Canada. For this, I used the Chest stripe from their vintage jerseys, and added the two stripes from their modern jerseys. A vintage-style maple leafs adorns the front, and black is relegated to the equipment. C&C is appreciated!
  4. The Season concepts

Recently, HockeyJerseyConcepts had a competition called "The Season" where people would anonymously send in concepts for a team of their choice. The teams were then split into groups for a round-robin format. The top 2 concepts in each group would advance to the playoffs, where the people would send in new concepts. I chose the San Jose Sharks as my team because I wanted to use their great new logos. I used the Archetype template from Icethetics because I didn't want to make my jersey obvious. For the first set of jerseys, which were part of the round-robin, I wanted to use orange (Unpopular Opinion: I like orange in their color scheme, I like orange in general), but only as a trim colour. I tried to make the design modern with a little bit of vintage. For the second set of jerseys, which were used in the playoffs, I wanted to use a style similar to the jerseys they used from 1998-2007. C&C is appreciated!
  5. Philadelphia Quakers Concept

This was submitted to HJC for their 365 Club competition I took part of their jersey's stripe pattern and added white to make it look closer to their away jerseys. Thoughts?
  6. Roller Hockey International was a league that lasted 6 years from 1993-1999, and never had good attendance, merchandise sales, or popularity. One of the founding members of that league was the Toronto Planets, who had an awful logo, and only lasted one year. HockeyJerseyConcepts.com is having a redesign project, and the goal is to redesign an RHI team. I took a shot at redesigning the Toronto Planets, and I'd like to get a little feedback before I send it in. So without further ado, here's the project. Credit to @McElroy19 and MockupArena.com for the jersey template.
