  1. Have you seen this jersey in a game

Was this uniform made for the photo shoot or was it worn in a game. If it was worn in a game can i please have pictures to prove EDIT: on a nike thread from 2009 it said it was a swingman jersey. Note the swoosh on the jersey. (possibly gonna be worn this year?)
  2. MLS Jersey Concept

I've been lurking here for a while, and I finally decided to post something of my own. I'm only just starting out, so c&c is greatly appreciated. I will try to get through every team in the MLS, home and away, but I might go back and add some third jerseys if it goes well. Teams: Atlanta United FC - Updated Chicago Fire Columbus Crew SC D.C. United - Updated Montreal Impact - Updated New England Revolution - Updated New York City FC New York Red Bulls Orlando City SC - Updated Philadelphia Union Toronto FC Colorado Rapids FC Dallas Houston Dynamo LA Galaxy - Updated Minnesota United FC Portland Timbers Real Salt Lake San Jose Earthquakes Seattle Sounders FC - Updated Sporting Kansas City Vancouver Whitecaps FC - Updated
  3. Making a Jersey With A Template

What software does one need to go about making a concept for, say, an NBA team?
  4. Since Nike is going to be the new jersey supplier for the NBA I made some concepts to show my take on the new jerseys. I used the USA olympic jersey featuring a nike vapor jersey and made my own mockup on it, to get the realistic stitching details on the numbers and logo I used a photoshop action called realistic stitching action to make it look realistic as possible. I hope you guys enjoy! Half way done the other half of the NBA will be uploaded as soon as possible. Feedback would be helpful!!
  5. Hello All As many of you are well aware, Adidas releases postseason jerseys for some of their teams to wear in tournaments. Nike does not do this, so I decided to try my hand at this idea. I have 12 teams that I will be doing jerseys for, and if those turn out well, I may take some requests for teams from the NCAA tournament. Without further ado, here are the first two sets, North Carolina and Butler. NORTH CAROLINA: For the Tar Heels, I've always thought that navy blue would be better than black. So here it is. A navy jersey with their Carolina blue as the accent color. Argyle pattern remains on the shorts, and the word mark is a baseball word mark that I thought worked well for these jerseys. BUTLER: For the Bulldogs, I focused on the aspect that they are Indianapolis' big team. The Indy skyline appears on the jersey, and the flag of the city is the shorts design. Hope you all like these, and of course C&C is appreciated! Thanks for looking.
  6. I've prepared some NHL concepts where I try and refresh team branding and uniforms. I'm trying to make the rest of the league fall more in line with what I've come to expect from Adidas. All teams get *some* sort of change from their current (Reebok) uniforms, although a few don't see much change at all (ie. Flyers, Leafs). I will accept C&C but I don't plan on making revisions to the uniforms unless I really feel compelled. I will be adding "Marquee Matchups" where teams use special uniforms. This is where C&C would be most useful, in suggesting matchups, uniforms, revisions, etc. I will use this first post as a HUB for the concepts: Metropolitan Battle of New York (NYI v NYR) Keystone Classic (PHI @ PIT) Stevens' Cup (WAS + MIN @ NJD) Ohio Classic (PIT @ CBJ) Atlantic Tribute (NJD v PHI) All-American Clash (STL v NYR) Atlantic Battle of Ontario (TOR v OTT) Governor's Cup (FLA v TBL) All-American Clash (WAS v DET) International Classic (BOS @ MTL) Norris Cup (CHI v DET) Hartford Classic (CAR v BUF) Central All-American Clash (NSH v COL) International Classic (VAN @ CHI) All-American Clash (MIN v STL) Battle of Wisconsin (MIN v CHI) All-Canadian Clash (TOR v WPG) Star Series (MIN v DAL) Pacific California Series (ANA + SJS @ LAK) Battle of Alberta (CGY v EDM) Battle of the Desert (ARI v VGK) Marquee of '93 (FLA v ANA) All-American Clash (VGK v LAK) Pacific Territories (SJS v VAN)
  7. Hey guys, EJaws here. Im deciding to start a Minnesota High School hockey redesign. Ill be starting with the Metro East conference and we will go from there! LETS MEET THE TEAMS/PLAY HOCKEY! Hastings Raiders [Royal Blue & Gold] Henry Sibley Warriors [Red & Las Vegas Gold?] Hill Murray Pioneers [Green & Black] Mahtomedi Zephyrs [Navy & Gold] North St Paul Polars [ Red & White] Simley Spartans [Blue & Red] South St Paul Packers [Maroon & White] St. Thomas Academy Cadets [Blue & White] Tartan Titans [Black & Blue] To Begin this project i started with remaking the Conference logo. I decide i needed to remake it when the only image I could find was 90x79. I really like the way this logo was going, so I tried to clean it up a bit. OLD LOGO-> NEW LOGO-> CC is appreciated
  8. When the Minnesota Wild released their stadium series uniform, I thought it could be the excellent basis for a new set. I removed the white yoke (which really doesn't look good for the Wild, no matter the precedent), used the red number/white outline arrangement, and added the stripes to the pants. The white version has a green yoke, for better color balance. The other change I made will probably be controversial, namely the removal of the wheat color. I like the way in which the green and red contrast with each other, and I've always felt that the wheat color muddied it up. White makes it look sharper to me. It may be a departure from tradition for the team, but I think it works. This may be the first of a new series for me. C+C is greatly appreciated!
  9. Arizona Diamondbacks Fix

When the Diamondbacks unveiled their new uniforms, and I--like most of you--was not a fan of what they did. I was surprised, however, when I read the comments on Paul Lukas's critical article about them on espn.com: a majority of the comments were very supportive of the new uniforms and were very critical of Lukas's opinions. It was very interesting to me to see the difference in how these boards at CCSLC viewed the uniforms from how those who post on espn.com view them. It reminded me that we tend to dislike bizarre new uniforms while the (young) general public who post on espn.com (and don't think about uniforms as much as we do) embrace them. And we have to realize that we who notice uniforms to the degree we do are a very small minority of total fans, and the number one goal of these redesigns is to sell merchandise. Anyhow, I decided to try to "fix" the new Diamondbacks uniforms. The goal was to take what they did and make it more palatable. If I would have been hired by the D-backs to design their uniforms, they would not look like this; but my goal for this project was to take what they unveiled and improve it. Many of you will think it is like putting lipstick on a pig, but I enjoyed the challenge. I took inspiration from Brandon Moore's Fix-It-Friday series that took current looks and tried to improve them while staying true to the original vision of the club. What I Like • The decision to try something new. They--along with the Rockies, Rays, and Marlins--don't have long histories and can get away with looking for unique and modern elements. (I have no problem with the Marlins redesign for this reason...not the biggest fan of how it looks, but I can appreciate with what they are trying to do.) • The snake-head logo. I loved that they brought this guy back from their first look. • The dark gray road uniforms. When I first saw them they were presented on a black background, and I thought they looked like a mess. Seeing it away from the black backgrounds really helps these; I like the darker color and think it will look good on a ball diamond. I especially like how the turquoise on the alternate pops; this is my favorite jersey of the bunch. The turquoise would look muddled on a standard gray. What I Don't Like • The different color schemes. How can you effectively build a brand if you can't even decide what colors you want to wear. Arizona is now a black, turquoise, and red team some days and on others say they are a black, red, and sand team. Pick one. This seems to be terrible branding to me. If your fans can't tell you what your colors are, that's a problem. I went with red, black, turquoise, and silver. The sand color did not work with the turquoise, but I needed another accent color to balance out the brightness of the red and turquoise. The fans seem to really embrace the turquoise, and it is unique. They can build a unique brand with this unique color scheme. • The truncated pant stripe. Why, oh why? This is just awful. What I Like But Don't Like • The snakeskin. I like the idea, but the execution is off. The pattern looks nice and I like that they tried something new, but the different colored shoulders look bad...is that dandruff? And it's also under the armpit and on the pants. Even the execution on the alternate hats isn't really good. • The wordmarks. They are an improvement over the last set, and I especially like the Arizona mark. But there are issues with the D-backs mark. First of all, I'm not a fan of using a shortened version of your team name on your uniforms. The problem is Diamondbacks is too long, but D-backs is too informal for a jersey. Then again, these jerseys aren't the most professional to begin with, so I decided to leave it on my redesign. I'm also not a fan of the K; it looks like an H. Again, in the end, I decided to leave it as is, though. My last issue with this mark is that the K has a fang, but there is only one. The Arizona mark has two fangs--as any good rattlesnake has. The D-backs mark is unbalanced. I did fix this is my redesign; here is my updated mark: As you can see, I fanged the B to make the mark balanced. My Fix Logos I did make some subtle changes to the D-Snake logo. I made the negative-space diamondback pattern on his back pointed instead of rounded. Hats As you can see, I kept the halftone diamond pattern, but I started it on the bill instead of the panels of the cap. This way they take a common baseball look (the contrasting bill) and make it their own. The halftone pattern would continue a short ways onto the panels of the cap. Uniforms I liked the more subtle sublimated diamond pattern on the alternate home and road sets, but I don't like the abrupt end to it at the shoulders. I decided to have the high density part of the pattern be in the middle of the back instead of the top so that there wouldn't be the abrupt division between the lighter and darker colors. I did begrudgingly keep the weird pant pattern. I'm not a fan, but I decided I would prioritize changing some other things instead of that. I only wanted to change a few things. As you can see, I did add the pattern to the socks; if anyone wears high-cuffed pants, they should still rock the pattern. The team would match their shoes to the color of the pattern on the pants (or socks). They can also match the four hats (not the snake-head hat) and undershirts, belts, and socks for diversity. Alternate Uniforms I decided to go with the D-backs script on the black alternates because I love how the turquoise looks on the black, and the black alternate they use would minimize the turquoise. I used the diamond pattern they currently use but flipped it. Now it takes a look we have seen before--contrasting colored sleeves with a vest--and makes it their own. The snake-head hat can be worn with the alternates. As a reminder, this is their look: As I said earlier, if I were starting from scratch, this would not be my suggestions, but I do think that it greatly improves their look. If you have interest, you can check out my redesign of the Diamondbacks when I combined their previous eras. I used a black and aqua color scheme, and then I experimented with purple and red.
  10. NHL Crazy Outdoor Game

This may sound crazy, however Florida would make a great place for an outdoor game, probably a stadium series game. The perfect place would be the Tampa Bay Buccaneers stadium (Raymond James Stadium). Tampa Bay can reach the temperature of nearly 32 F, a perfect temperature and can sustain ice long enough. This would be perfect for these two Florida teams, shedding much press attention on what would have otherwise been a fairly unnoticed event by them. The jersey were based off the old Tampa jerseys mashed together and were meant for Tampa only, however the Panthers looked too good in them to pass by. Generally the theme besides storm vs sun is retro jerseys. The arena would be set up with palm trees all around the outskirts similar Minnesota's pine tree display. There would be a small picture above the arena of a sun facing off against a storm, pushing against one another. This would be between the logos. When the Bolts come out lightning coils will activate as they walk in. When the Panthers walk in fire will erupt followed by gold-ish smoke. Worst case scenario it all melts .
  11. Let me start by making something clear: This is NOT my concept and I claim no credit for it. I tried to find a thread with this via search and could not. Now that that is out of the way, This is a concept by Jesse Alkire that I found via Dribbble. I thought that everyone here would really appreciate it. There are some aspects of the concept that on paper would seem hokie or minor league like (topographic elevation lines as pinstripes)... but they REALLY work well and I could imagine seeing them on the field. Here is the link to his page and some images from the concept. ***Well just figured out that Jesse IS a member here... sorry for posting your work. This can be taken down if need be.***
  12. Best NBA Throwback Jerseys

What are some of your favorite NBA throwbacks that your team or other teams have worn? Here are mine. I didn't add one for every team. Add yours ...
  13. Minnesota Wild Home Jersey Concept

I personally like the red home jerseys, but as an alt, not the home jersey. So I came up with something else. Feedback is appreciated.
  14. New Template: Bicycle Jersey

Hi there, as a friend of mine asked me to design a bicycle jersey I wanted to create a template first. As it took me quite a while but as it also was fun - I thought I would share it with you. So please tell me your thoughts and if there's something to fix. (Don't know if there's anybody around who would actually like to design a bicycle jersey, but anyways…) All the best wishes Daniel
  15. NFL / Hockey crossover series (7/32 Dallas)

Here's another series presented by Jay_FS_Designs: I'm creating hockey jerseys for all current NFL teams. For some teams I'm transferring the current jersey designs onto a hockey jersey. For others I create a complete new design the fits the identity. All feedback appreciated
  16. Hello everyone! This is my first ever attempt at making a jersey concept and also my first time ever using Adobe Illustrator. I decided to work on making a new home jersey for the Canes that takes the best elements of their old uniforms as well as the new ones such as the warning flag stripes and the extended yoke, I also took the 2 white stripes that's on the current home uniform and incorporated it. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out but let me know what you think and any advice for the future! FirstCanesConcept.pdf
  17. So this offseason, my High School football team (Varsity) decided on getting special jerseys for this season for the final home games. Since they know I am into design and such they asked me to more or less create a whole bunch of options for us to choose from. Well we just got them this week and I have to say, I really love how they look and so does the team, glad I could design them. What do you guys think? P.S: We use silver helmets with blue chrome wings and grey pants.
  18. I always thought Wisconsin's football uniforms were somewhat boring. And I didn't like that they had uniforms so similar to division rival Nebraska. I liked the red helmets they had in 2013 and 2014 (Ex. one, ex. two) to change things up a bit but the uniforms still needed some work. When Under Armour took over and unveiled the their new uniforms last month I was pretty happy with what they did by keeping the traditional look but still making some interesting changes. I liked the "Forever Forward" theme of the new uniforms but I thought the changes were too subtle (Only having one very thin arrow on each stripe). So I kept with the "Forever Forward" theme and made some tweaks here and there. The most noticeable change I made was to the stripe. I made the stripe arrows thicker and added more arrows throughout the uniform (3 on helmet, 2 per sleeve, and 3 on each side of pants). It's hard to see but I put the "Forever Forward" logo on the helmet bumper. I kept the Badger Bold (modified Aachen) font for the numbers. I replaced the "W" logo on the chest with the wordmark and I removed the wordmark from the leg/thigh area. Lastly, I know the 3rd pants design is a bit out there for Wisconsin but I was just trying something different (I'm not necessarily a fan of it). Please give any c&c you have. If I get enough feedback I might start doing some other college teams too. Home uniform... Away uniform... Football field with new endzone wordmarks...
  19. Philadelphia Flyers 50th Anniversary Concept

In a few weeks, the Flyers will unveil their 50th anniversary uniforms. Not much is known about what they will look like, but the team has released two teaser images (that don't exactly show much...) Teaser 1: What we know: -There is a black collar -Jersey looks to be predominantly orange -Not a normal Reebok styled yoke -50th Anniversary logo rests on the right shoulder, other shoulder is logo-less Teaser 2: What we know: -Mostly the same as above, BUT! There is some white on the upper part of the sleeve What could this second teaser mean? Is the jersey going to be predominately white? I hope not. But also, if the Flyers were going to honor their history, wouldn't they want to draw inspiration from a uniform that they have worn in the past? I sure hope so, as they have never worn a white jersey with orange shoulders. The team's uniform history has been relatively stable and simple, plus they currently wear their original threads. Here is my guess for what they are planning on unveiling.... A modern version of their chrome jerseys! Just basing off of the teasers, the body and yoke is orange (with Reebok's over-sized yoke style), with the arms predominately white with the same type of design found on their early 2000's alternate jersey. To go along with the theme of their 50th anniversary, I swapped out the silver for the bronze that is found in their anniversary logo. What do you guys think? Is this anything close to what you imagine them unveiling? C&C always appreciated (also, I'm trying out some new gear templates so let me know what you think of those, too.)
  20. The NHL Pacific division has a lot of potential for alternate jerseys, but most of them are pretty lackluster. So here I'm setting out to make sure the Pacific's alternates are everything that they should be and hopefully, more. First, the Coyotes. The 'Yotes didn't release an alternate with their new set so I did what I think is a good option. I decided to use their paw alternate and put all the design on the sleeves just like their Home/Away jerseys. C&C more than welcome, and any post will be liked so feel free to let me know what you think. Sharks are up next, thanks!
  21. New York Rangers Cleanup

So the trend nowadays is take a logo from the 60's and simplify it, maybe change the colors a little bit. And the Rangers, while being one of the better designed teams, also need a logo update. So without any further ado, I present to you the new-look Rangers! C&C Appreciated!
  22. Winnipeg Jets Throwback Concept

My main questions are: Do I ditch the light blue altogether? Should I keep the shoulders the way they are? Is the logo on the jersey too big?
  23. Hey guys, EJaws here. This Forum will be about the redesign of the Metro East Hockey Conference in Minnesota High School hockey. SO LETS MEET THE TEAMS! Hastings Raiders [Royal Blue & Gold] Henry Sibley Warriors [Red & Las Vegas Gold?] Hill Murray Pioneers [Green & Black] Mahtomedi Zephyrs [Navy & Gold] North St Paul Polars [ Red & White] Simley Spartans [Blue & Red] South St Paul Packers [Maroon & White] St. Thomas Academy Cadets [Blue & White] Tartan Titans [Black & Blue] To Begin this project i started with remaking the Conference logo. I decide i needed to remake it when the only image I could find was 90x79. Overall I really like this logo so all I did was just neaten it up a bit. Old Logo-> New Logo-> C&C is very much appreciated!
  24. A Bunch of Random ECHL Concepts

I was planning to do an entire ECHL redesign, but I couldn't find enough creativity/motivation to do every team, so here's the few I did do. ALASKA ACES: (Home/Away) COLORADO EAGLES: (Home/Away) FORT WAYNE KOMETS: (Home/Away) GREENVILLE SWAMP RABITTS: (Home/Away) INDY FUEL: (Home/Away/Alternate) ORLANDO SOLAR BEARS: (Home/Away/Alternate) TOLEDO WALLEYE: (Home/Away/Alternate) UTAH GRIZZLIES: (Home/Away) Tell me what you think! I doubt I'll make any changes, however, due to other projects I've taken on and a lack of motivation for this. Thanks, though! Template credits to @timberwolf
