  1. This is my concept of a Vegas Golden Knights farm team in Reno, Nevada. View the full project here
  2. So, now that I got the Miami Marlins off my chest, I figured I should tweak the other teams that have been bothering me too. Nothing bothered me as much as the Marlins, but it doesn't take much to aggravate me...sadly. The next team I wanted to put a paint brush to was San Diego. Like most, I feel they should be going back to the brown and yellow colors. I on the other hand want to put more emphasis on the brown and keep the yellow to a minimum. I have no issue with their current word scripts and uniform style, I just feel the brown and yellow would look better. So with that in mind, here is my version of the Padres. The away has a grey that has very slight orange tint to it, just to give it some warmth with the brown and yellow. Then there is the Home alternate. The big trend of having the logo over the heart/left side is not missed on the Padres. I'm currently working on a brown top alternate for the road as well as a new main logo that will combine a few era's logos with the swinging friar as the center piece. How does that look? C+C appreciated.
  3. I am in the process of putting together a Las Vegas Raiders rebrand for when they relocate. I am just getting started with the uniforms, but I wanted to get feedback before I did the away uniforms and color rush uniforms. I am incorporating the famous welcome to las vegas sign as a major part of the rebrand. This will be their inaugural season patch and the star from the sign will be implemented throughout the set. As always C&C is greatly appreciated!
  4. Here is a jersey mock-up I did awhile back and two different iterations of it I've done recently.
  5. I missed out when everyone else was making their uniform predictions for the Golden Knights and we're running out of time before concepts become tweaks so here's my go at it.
  6. After hearing the news of the Oakland Raiders plans of moving to the bright lights of Las Vegas, I decided to try to create a new logo. Hence forth, the logo: I based it off the infamous Welcome to Las Vegas sign. Let me know what y'all think. Done in paint.
  7. Hello everyone, I have a big project for you that i've been working one for a while. I made concepts for 6 new possible NHL teams. 1. Qu├ębec Nordiques 2. Portlans Mountaineers 3. Hamilton Beasts 4. Seattle Sasquatch 5. Halifax Schooners 6. Las Vegas Silver Bullets (hopefully there isn't any controversy with gun control and all that stuff) I am Willing to do 2 more teams with your suggestions! This is all for fun, just to see what the brands would look like. Here is a teaser of every team, and I'll post them one by one. Which team are you most excited for? I'll post the one with the most buzz first!
  8. After the release of the Golden Knights' identity, I made up some jerseys for them. They're based on the style of their cross-rivals, the Arizona Coyotes', jerseys, with the shoulder striping and all. I also added in a castle pattern to add to the medieval identity, as well as a more unique alternate.
  9. Okay, I'm newer to the concept thing so this is my first official concept. With the rumors of Las Vegas' expansion team being named "Desert Knights", I figured to go ahead and give it a shot. I used the what the owner said about "chain pattern" and added that to the jersey. I also used the WCH2016 template. C&C is welcome!
  10. Check this jersey concept out! https://www.canva.com/design/DACDOZ3r5Xc/Br5Rb-qQVskymmqgtjjcEw/view?utm_content=DACDOZ3r5Xc&utm_campaign=designshare&utm_medium=link&utm_source=sharebutton
  11. So, I was trying to come up with a logo for my personal design brand and a got a bit sidetracked by the Caped Crusader, the Sharks new logos, etc. I struggle drawing things free hand, for whatever reason. It's difficult for me to even things up. Plus, I needed to start to learn affinity designer and photo more in depth. I started out creating a spartan helmet, something relatively simple. Then I created a spear to go along with the helmet. Then i started reading about the Las Vegas' NHL franchise again. So I had to try to put together a quick logo concept and home/away jerseys. Feels generic, but at this point that might be what will happen. So here are the Las Vegas Spartans. Since Black Knights is a no-go and the OHL London Knights own Knight in Canada, and Foley has been adamant about having knight or knight/cavalry themed something somewhere, I chose Spartans. I did not look up to see if Spartans would work legally, but Las Vegas Spartans actually doesn't sound too bad. Just a primary logo right now, wasn't sure what to do for a secondary logo or tertiary logo. Might use this in NBA 2K16 and NBA 2K17. I'd use it in NHL 17, but... no logo uploads this year. P.S. If you want to use it 2K16/17 just let me know, I have a few different color combos. Can Change just about anything on it.
  12. The NHL's 2017-18 Las Vegas expansion team will obviously need an AHL expansion team as an affiliate, so I'm curious to see some ideas get thrown around in this thread. Location Nickname Logo Uniforms ***Lets exclude any existing teams from the lower minors, as a possible promotion to AHL***
  13. Quebec Bishops! Their colors should be purple, navy blue, silver, white. I just wanted to guess it if anyone wants to create them. Quebec Bishops or Quebec Saints if you like! No one used purple and navy blue together. *shrugs*
  14. ...A lot of talk lately about an NHL franchise in Vegas, and, although the prospective new owner apparently likes "Black Knights" as a team name, I think that "Aces", with an "air force" spin would be the way to go. Nevada has a rich aviation history with several airfields situated in the state. The largest (Nellis Air Base) is home to the USAF Thunderbirds Team. The Winnipeg Jets gave a nod to the Canadian Air Force with their theme, so why not have Vegas do the same with the USAF. (Imagine the promotional possibilities when these two teams hook up). So I've done up a concept with a logo inspired by this famous American warplane insignia... The barred or winged American star roundel has existed in various forms since 1947 (according to Wickipedia).
  15. I know people are going all out w/ ideas for the Las Vegas NHL team and so I decided to throw my hat in the ring just to add to the Black Knights speculation. I know that if that is what the team turns out to be they cannot be exactly like the Kings. But they also shouldnt have a random color just added to black or charcoal. However, the team's identity should be dark, threatening, and intimidating. So imo, all you have to do is involve several shades of grey without involving white or black. That should separate them from LA. For the main logo I'm going with a semi-typical interpretation of a Black Knight, one less like Quick's mask and more like Boba Fett's. So here is my take on the LV logo. I went very dark, i know, but without black, you have to compensate. I added two hockey sticks to either side of the helmet and the diamond on the top of the head represents the "Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas!" sign. I understand its a bit simplistic but i like simplistic logos because i think too little is better than too much. I will be following up with some alternates, a wordmark, and most importantly, uniforms in a bit. C&C would be great, thanks!
  16. Here is a quick concept for the new las vegas team. rumor has it they'll be the black knights?
  17. So this is my first concept and it's my take on the newly announced Black Knights team. I wanted to get this out here before other concepts come flooding in. The plan was originally supposed to have more gold but my gold marker ran out. Also I know the alternete logo looks like the old Posse logo combined with the West Virginia logo. ( that was an accident) C&C greatly apreciated
  18. USL (or NASL) will soon be in Las Vegas, so here is my take on a Las Vegas FC concept. The badge is based on the star from the "Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas Nevada" sign using the colors from the flag of the City of Las Vegas. The home kit is a direct representation of the flag of the City of Las Vegas. The away kit uses hoops made of 3 stripes as a representation of the 3 cities that make up the LV metropolitan area (Las Vegas, Henderson, & North Las Vegas). The alternate kit incorporates the shape of the famous "Welcome of Fabulous Las Vegas Nevada" sign.
  19. So I had an idea in a history lecture to make an egyptian themed hockey logo and uniform set. I put the team in Las Vegas but the concept isn't really about the expansion. The logo is a representation of the Egyptian god of the sun "Ra". The name of the team is the Las Vegas Gods. C&C Appreciated!!
  20. Las Vegas Announced 6 possible team names that they will let fans vote on. Silver BUllets was not included so I had to create a new concept for the team. I chose scorpions. Here it is: Jerseys will come soon after I get some feedback
  21. With the possibility of Las vegas receiving an NHL franchise I came up with a few possible team logos depending on whatever they are gonna call this team. Black Knights doesn't seem like a great name in my opinion, and the NHL might no like a team with a name that is based off of gambling so even though "The Aces" may be the best option, I decided to avoid it and other gambling related names, also because many concepts for Aces have been done already. The "Bighorns" was also an option as the Bighorn sheep is the Nevada state animal but a minor league basketball team in Reno already has the name and a few concepts for that have been done as well. Here are the names of teams that I thought could be a possibility and didn't sound too terribly cliche. 1. The Nukes The Nukes pays homage to the nuclear testing that occurred north of Las Vegas during the 40s-60s Sometimes the mushroom clouds could be scene from downtown. Black Knight color scheme of black gold and silver. 2. The Silver Rattlers/Sidewinders This could be either two teams "The Sidewinders" which is a snake native to the las vegas desert, or "Silver Rattlers" as a nod to the silver mining industry. 3. The Sidewinders Another version for the Sidewinders name. 4. The Neons Nothing says Las Vegas like the flashing neon lights of the strip. Three hockey pucks line the bottom. 5. The Silver Bullets This one could carry some controversy to it due to "bullets" what do you think? 5. The Mustangs A personal favorite of mine. Nevada is home to more than half of North Americas wild horse population and can be found from southern to northern Nevada. I'll probably make more logos for other possible names and other versions in the future but for now feedback on these is much appreciated. Also let me know if you'd like to see Jerseys of these.
  22. http://imgur.com/a/w0Zaf This is my second attempt at creating a Las Vegas expansion concept. Just after finishing my Aces concept, it was released that Las Vegas was applying for expansion with the name Black Knights. So I decided to redo my concepts with the new Las Vegas Black Knights. I kept the colour scheme pretty similar with a darker red. When I do make the jerseys, the grey may or may not be used, just to keep the amount of colours down. The knight is, of course, the primary while the sword Vegas star is the alternate. I did get most of the ideas for the alternate from another concept I saw online. I flipped the sword the other way and did a couple things different, but I liked the idea too much to do a different logo. I plan on making the uniforms soon, as I only had time to create the logos and some iPhone and computer wallpaper. Good C&C is appreciated I should say, I am not a very experienced concept creator, just a class in high school and general knowledge of logos along with my creativity, so please don't be too harsh with the comments Again, any help with putting the direct pictures up would be awesome.
  23. http://imgur.com/a/ZVjZA I created this Las Vegas NHL Expansion concept before I heard the news that Las Vegas is going for the name Black Knights. I had a better idea for Aces anyway. I got the idea for the primary logo from a different concept I saw, but I added the Vegas star into the spade. I'm more proud of the logos then the uniforms, so any C&C on it, especially the jerseys, would be appreciated. Thanks. Also, all the help I have received for posting the direct picture has not been too helpful. I'm working on a Macbook, and the site claims that the image extension isn't supported. If someone could help with that, that would be awesome.
  24. I have created a concept logo for our soccer supporters group in Las Vegas. The idea was to relate the badge to the atomic past of Las Vegas, but use a modern style. I am not a professional graphic artist and am a beginner at using AI, so any constructive criticisms are welcome. The colors are based on the City flag's blue and silver, and UNLV's scarlet (as we support all levels of soccer in LV - and hopefully a new MLS team). The group is also made up of supporters from the entire Las Vegas Valley (LV, Henderson, & North Las Vegas) so I wanted to use images in 3s to represent each city. Here's some of my inspiration:
  25. I'm working on a badge concept for a soccer supporters club in Las Vegas. I need some feedback on the design. The inspiration was the famous "Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas Nevada" sign, but I didn't want it to mimic the actual sign like so many other logos do. The colors and sash come from the flag of the City of Las Vegas. Also, I love the idea of a double shield in one badge as used in the Seattle Sounders FC badge. I would also like to incorporate some other aspects of the Seal of the City of Las Vegas (Hoover Dam, Sunrise, etc.), but it might just make it too busy. Font ideas (I want a timeless font)? Most importantly I did not want to add any design details that were casino/gambling related.
