  1. Snapping Turtle Logo concept

I'm just posting to share a concept logo i've been working on for a competition on another forum. As a part of the competition I am creating an identity for a NYC based Australian Rules team, and I decided to go with Snapping Turtles as my mascot as it's the state reptile of NY. I've stuck with the blue and orange synonymous with NYC sports. I'd love some feedback! I need to work on a wordmark to go with this, but I always struggle with wordmarks and working them into a logo.

A series of female-themed designs inspired by NFL team logos - apparel coming soon! Minnesota Vikings New England Patriots Tampa Bay Buccaneers Las Vegas Raiders Cleveland Browns
  3. Updated Detroit Red Wings Logo

Hi all, As many of you know, the Detroit Red Wings logo is the oldest logo in the NHL right now. As sacrilegious as this sounds, I decided to modernize/refresh the look of the Red Wings' classic logo quite a bit. Some of the new updates would include: 1. A New Wheel: The most prominent difference is the updated wheel, reflecting a modern car wheel cover. Additionally, the cap now showcases the rarely used alternate "D" logo. 2. Updated/Significant Wings and Feathers: On the current logo, the feathers are relatively rough and hard to replicate on merchandise. I decided to smoothen out the feathers on the wings, while also adding a bit of significance to the feathers too. If you take a look, the back feathers contain 11 "dents", representing the 11 stanley cups the team has won. 3. Minor smoothing: Rougher/inconsistent edges are smoothened out and evened. 4. New Font: The current font used by the Red Wings reflects the same font as the former home, Joe Louis Arena. In order to reflect the change into the new arena, I updated the serif for the team as well. This is a bit rough, but tell me what y'all think if the Red Wings chose to do this? OLD: NEW:
  4. Hello, We are giving away two bundles of sports logo vectors, featuring aggressive animals and human characters. These can be repurposed for any sport. The logos come both in .EPS and .AI formats, separated for each different animal/human character. We also included some fitting fonts to change the city and team names. They're subject to unlimited license, which means you can basically do anything you like with them as long as it shares the same license (it's included in the zip). So that's it, if you like them you can find the files here, and I'll be up to answer any question you guys might have. Also we'd love to see any logo you make with them :). And feel free to share them anywhere you like! Aggressive Animal Logo Human Character Logos
  5. Hello! This is my first ever uniform/logo concepts I have ever done. I am a graphic designer on Instagram, and I am taking a jab at concepts for the first time. Constructive criticism and Feedback is very welcomed!
  6. Boston Bruins Logo Redesign Concept

The Boston Bruins Logo is timeless, and that's why I decided to redesign it. ...Wait what? One of the best challenges is designing a new logo that "Cannot be made any better." By no means am I saying it's better, but I had a blast making it. What are your thoughts?
  7. I've prepared some NHL concepts where I try and refresh team branding and uniforms. I'm trying to make the rest of the league fall more in line with what I've come to expect from Adidas. All teams get *some* sort of change from their current (Reebok) uniforms, although a few don't see much change at all (ie. Flyers, Leafs). I will accept C&C but I don't plan on making revisions to the uniforms unless I really feel compelled. I will be adding "Marquee Matchups" where teams use special uniforms. This is where C&C would be most useful, in suggesting matchups, uniforms, revisions, etc. I will use this first post as a HUB for the concepts: Metropolitan Battle of New York (NYI v NYR) Keystone Classic (PHI @ PIT) Stevens' Cup (WAS + MIN @ NJD) Ohio Classic (PIT @ CBJ) Atlantic Tribute (NJD v PHI) All-American Clash (STL v NYR) Atlantic Battle of Ontario (TOR v OTT) Governor's Cup (FLA v TBL) All-American Clash (WAS v DET) International Classic (BOS @ MTL) Norris Cup (CHI v DET) Hartford Classic (CAR v BUF) Central All-American Clash (NSH v COL) International Classic (VAN @ CHI) All-American Clash (MIN v STL) Battle of Wisconsin (MIN v CHI) All-Canadian Clash (TOR v WPG) Star Series (MIN v DAL) Pacific California Series (ANA + SJS @ LAK) Battle of Alberta (CGY v EDM) Battle of the Desert (ARI v VGK) Marquee of '93 (FLA v ANA) All-American Clash (VGK v LAK) Pacific Territories (SJS v VAN)
  8. World Volleyball Association

In the past year, I've been strategizing on a project involving a professional volleyball league. It would be called the World Volleyball Association and act as a nod to the International Volleyball Association of the 1970s. Many of the teams in this new league would have brands similar to the 1970s counterpart but take on a modern identity. This project is meant to help build my design portfolio after I graduate from VCU and any comments or suggestions are appreciated. I plan on making this project on an extended timeline but I wanted to at least share my idea for the league's official emblem. Backstory: Since this league would be a direct descendant of the original International Volleyball Association, I wanted to introduce a palette of 1970s pastel colors, a groovy yet futuristic typeface, and a stylistic reference of two opposing sides facing of inside of superimposed tennis court. The orange roundel encompassing the other elements of this design are meant to act as a globe. Seeing as the league would be "represented" on a global level with co-ed rosters, it would act as a message of unity.
  9. NBA teams are taking a minimalist approach on new logo designs. Therefore, I wanted to re-design the primary logo for the San Antonio Spurs! I mainly wanted to simply the iconic spur by blending the stem with the star. I also wanted to personalize the backdrop badge to represent the city by incorporating the Alamo. i'd love to get your feedback! Go Spurs Go!
  10. MLB World Series Concept Logo

NCAA Tournament is winding down, MLB Opening Day a week away or less, and the release of MLB The Show 17 tonight, I thought it would be fun to show you a World Series Concept Logo I've been working on. World Series Logos from years past My Concept for the 2017 World Series: A navy and steel blue gradient diamond with a red interior outline and white bases and home plate. Four pennant flags (four because two didn't look like enough) I guess you could say the four stand for the following: 1 to represent the NL, 1 to represent the AL. 1 for the NL champion and 1 for the AL champion (but I think that's reaching a bit). The World Series in a "Championship Gold" and "Autumn Brown" gradients. Date in white above, and the MLB league logo at the bottom. Improvements: - Wondering if MLB league logo should be a bit smaller to center with home plate. - I had a baseball logo that I was going to put in the two pennant flags but didn't look right to me and wasn't sure where else to put it. - World Series seems like it's not truly centered, which according to my program I use it is, so maybe it's my eyes playing tricks on me. As usual, C&C appreciated. (The timer on MLB The Show 17 on my PS4 is moving so slow...)

  12. UNLV new logo

    Have at it...
  13. As a Spurs fan, I was completely let down when the new secondary logo was recently released. I think the new logo is way too generic and does not represent the organization at all. Even though I'm not a fan of the simplistic logo trend going around the NBA, I wanted to design my own minimalist concept for the SA Spurs that featured the iconic Alamo with the basketball.
  14. Velo

So once upon a time in a different but similar parallel universe there was a sport called Velo. The name derived from the fact that it was a bicycle racing game played on a velodrome. It was a team in which a team competed to be the first to reach 9 points or enough points in the game that their opponent could not overcome them. There of course was the possibility of a tie. Eventually the North American Velo Organization (NAVO) that would even eventually morph into the Professional Velo Rank (PVR) was formed. With time that league as well as the Colligate Cycling Conference (CCC) gained a large national following. This however is the story of how it all began and everything that followed… It all started back in 1888 when showman P.T. Barnum was looking for another money generating attraction. Someone had told him all about the sport of cycle racing and how in Europe they had these sloped tracks, like Preston Park in England, that accommodated such racing events. Barnum hired some engineers who soon developed a portable velo track that could be simply disassembled. With this invention his intention was to develop a couple teams that would travel the country competing against one another. Before getting to that point however he thought he would test it out in Boston. Barnum set out to put two teams together and pit them against one another in an event to be held in Boston. If things went well he thought he could perhaps then establish some sort of tour. So he went to the Boston Globe and announced he was looking for a couple men who might have some cycling knowledge and would be interested in managing and coaching these teams. To Be Continued… Before the continuation however let’s spell out the rules to the game of Velo. Each team consists of 6 roster spots. The head rider is called the Leadoff position, behind him is the Middle position and following him is the Cleanup position. These are your starters or line. Your remaining roster spots consist of the bench. These positions are First Option, Second Option, and Third Option. A team also has a head coach and may have 1-2 assistant coaches. Games are played in 3-5 races which are called sets. Every set has the potential for 3 points to be scored. Only one team can score in a set. It works like this; every team has 3 riders in a set, so this means 6 riders are on the track for each set or race. The winner of the race scores a point for his team as does each of his teammates who finish with him before the highest finisher on the other team. Therefore you see that a team can score up to 3 points in a set. See below for an example that might help explain; Team A Team B other four riders finish in any other order (this would be a one point score) Team A Team A Team B other three riders finish in any other order (this would be a two point score) Team A Team A Team A Team B Team B Team B (this would be a three point score) By this the max point total a team could score would be 9 points in a game. That is because if a team ever reaches 9 not enough other points remain possible to score that would allow their opponent to overcome them. So for example if a team scores 3 points each of the first three sets the remaining two sets are not necessary. The final score would be 9-0. This is referred to as a perfect game. There are several other scenarios that exist that could cause a team to end before all 5 sets are needed but at the minimum no less than 3 sets can be played in a game. Each team starts the game with their line. After each set they must substitute at least one rider. No rider can remain in the game longer than 3 consecutive sets. However after sitting out for a set a rider may be substituted back into the game. The only reason a player cannot reenter a game is if they are involved in a crash. If they crash at any point in a game they may not return back into the game.
  15. Houston Rockets: A Merging of Eras

Hello everyone and thank you for visiting this thread. this will be a short concept that ill be doing of the Houston Rockets. I like the Rockets current logo for the reasos that it is simple and simple is always good but its missing the creativity of the old logos so i decided to do a mash-up of a few of the logos. it isnt done yet but i would love some C&C on what can be improved (i will be adding a rocket into the logo so dont say "ADD A ROCKET") but i will accept any response if you dont think it needs one. the 2 logos i chose to merge with the current logo are the San Diego Rockets & The 72-95 Logo(Championship era) Logos pictured below San Diego: 72-95 Championship era: i went with the colors of the 95 logo and the negative space in the san diego logo i added to the new one. now without further ado heres version 1.0 of the logo i came up with. 20. 2018 Winter Classic Logos

Decided to create some winter classic logos for the Rangers, Sabres, and the game itself. Rangers: A mix of their 1920s-30s logo with the modern logo, along with the throwback white color. Sabres: Using the current buffalo and two sabre concept, but adjusting it with some throwback white. Event Logo: Using reference from the inaugural logo for Citi Field from 2009, this logo uses citi field's facade, along with the commonly used winter classic logo. Lemme know what you think:
  21. 49ers Logo Update

Just a quick stress relieving exercise and a logo update to match the teams other various branding. Nothing special here
  22. Stags Inline Hockey logo

Hey Guys! It's been awhile but I'm back with an inline hockey logo! I took the Hershey Bears logo as inspiration mainly because of how mean and intimidating the logo looked. I chose a "Deer" because where the team is located in Northeast Pennsylvania, there is an abundance of white-tailed deer. Of course, I had to use black and gold because...well, i just really like those colors for a hockey team! (Go Pens!) Hope you guys like this one! C&C Welcome!
  23. Hello, I've been working on this design for quite a while and come up with a few different options. The trouble is I have no idea which one to go forward with? Would love to hear everyones feedback on the design they prefer and hopefully why that is (so that it will help in the future). Also love to hear any feedback on how to improve the logo in general. All feedback is very much appreciated!!! Thanks Phil FFD
  24. MLB History Poster

So I made this chart to show the expansion/logo changes of MLB teams since 1901. I know something similar to this has probably been done before. I figured I'll print this out on 2'X3' paper for myself and hang it on the wall. Just thought I'd share! If y'all have some sort of C&C let me know. I'm going to be making some other ones (different leagues, maybe cities?) over the Summer. (I know creations are typically under the Concept section but this just didn't fit.)
