  1. In an attempt to both make the Burger King logo look good, and eradicate black from their color scheme, I came up with this Los Angeles Kings set. I know it's out there, but I like it. What do you think?
  2. While recently brainstorming on how to improve the Clips horrendous rebrand, i came up with this idea for a simple clipper ship logo with LAC worked into the sails. C&C appreciated!
  3. So, I have been a Rams fan since childhood, and while i drifted away after the 2000 uniform change debacle, I thought with the new stadium and uniform change imminent, that I would post what I have been playing with for a while. Horn on helmet have shading (block, not drop shadow) to give depth. I didn't want to really change the horn, but update it gently. Numbers are throwback, but not standard block number types. My favorite look is the Royal and Gold so I went that avenue Navy/White as well as Royal/White as it appears they are leaning towards losing Gold altogether. As always C&C welcome
  4. Full project here: https://www.behance.net/gallery/47660267/SD2LA-The-Los-Angeles-Breakers The beach. The palm trees. Hollywood. America's game in the City of Angels. Los Angeles deserves an NFL team that's undoubtedly, indigenously LA. With San Diego returning to it's roots after 55 years in San Diego, they are in need of a new brand. This brand should still pay some homage to the Charger days, but with a fresh take on the identity that also embraces LA, in equilibrium. I sought to feature the LA surf, sun and celebrity culture. I think this brand better speaks to the fan base in LA, versus just slapping "Los Angeles" in front of Chargers.
  5. So I saw someone point out today that the LA Chargers logo that made its rounds today is very sloppy and the alignment on it is atrocious. So in an attempt to fix that I got carried away and ended up just making something a lot better out of it. Enjoy
  6. I figured I'd toss my two cents into what will inevitably be a deluge of LA Chargers concepts. Moved the Bolts up to make the A Crossbar and made the bolt angles match the letters. And some powder blue variations because you can't abandon that look.
  7. Hey everybody! Please check out my logo concept for D'Angelo Russell and let me know what you think, all CONSTRUCTIVE criticism is more than welcome as I see it as a way to improve my process. This is a portfolio piece for my Senior year at the Savannah College of Art & Design and no affiliation with the athlete or Nike. Thank you! https://www.behance.net/gallery/41163175/DAngelo-Russell-Identity-Concept
  8. So I've been making logos for a while, but I never really took the time out to try a uniform concept before. After seeing the work of the NFL/NBA mashups from before, I was inspired to do something similar. At the time, the Kings seemed like a great way to start. If this went well, I was thinking about attempting a uniform for the St. Louis Blues, or go the opposite route and make a sweater for the Lakers. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
  9. Los Angeles FC (LAFC) Just based on the crest that LAFC release I came up with this concept. This will be one of the Adidas kits that have the 3 stripes along the side of the shirt, they will match the color of the stripes on the shorts so use your imagination there. I chose YouTube as the sponsor since I noticed that one of the co-owners, who happens to be an alumnus of the school I go to, IUP (it's a state school, don't beat yourself up looking up info about it), Chad Hurley who co-founded YouTube so I thought that would be an appropriate sponsor. Lastly I payed tribute to another one of LAFC's co-owners, Will Ferrell, by using his name and an image from Kicking and Screaming. Let me know what you think. I'm open to creative criticism so throw it at me.
  10. I haven't posted an official concept in a bit, but i wanted to show you guys what I'm working on.(just a week in) As we all know, the LA Rams have made their return to the NFL. I decided a few days ago to make a concept around this as many have done already. I'm still in the very early stages of this project and am in need of some critiques on what i have so far (Primary Logo). Thank you all for visiting my Post and again C&C always appreciated.
  11. Howdy Guys I've got a new one for you. I've come up with what I'd like to see from the ASG next year let me know what you think! Feel free to give it a like on dribble as well! As always feedback is appreciated!
  12. Howdy Folks I'm back with something a little out of my wheel house today, A LA Rams concept. As an LA native who was born the year the Rams left and grown up without a NFL team I can safely say I do not care that the Rams are back. BUT since they are why not rebrand! I used the old rams colors to give my logo a UC kinda of feel. As always Folks feed back is much appreciated! Uniforms to come so keep checking back!
  13. Although I know there will be a ton of new Rams concepts popping up on here, I was inspired to go ahead and put one of my own together that, hopefully will stand out from the crowd. I wanted to leave the latest era of navy blue and vegas gold uniforms in St. Louis where it belongs, So naturally I went back to the classic blue and yellow of the Rams' Super Bowl winning season and their years in the LA sunshine. I also drew up a brand new LA monogram to be used as the team's primary logo and a wordmark that is a bit of a combination of eras. The new logos and uniforms are meant to be a modern take on a classic look. I tried to both make things feel familiar and fresh at the same time by using the same basic template as the classic Rams uniforms, but with a more contemporary number font, and adjusted shoulder insert and a few more modern touches to make them unique to the new-look Los Angeles Rams. Thanks for taking the time to have a look and I would appreciate any and all comments and criticisms. Full Disclosure: I realize that my uniform concept is similar to AAWagner001's, but it is totally coincidental, I had no intention of copying his work whatsoever and the work is 100% mine.
  14. Hello! Here's my redesign of the Los Angeles Clippers Organization. Feel free to critique.
  15. Thought I would toss up my Logolympiad submissions thus far and receive some feedback on them. I haven't been able to enter as many events this year as I would like, but hopefully I can submit an entry or two for these final few events (with more success than my first two). EVENT 1: Alternate Logo For the first event, designers were tasked with designing an alternate logo which could replace the primary in some applications. I opted to design a logo for the Celtics because I felt they had a lot of original Celtic imagery that could be drawn from. My design is based upon the claddagh, a prominent symbol of Irish heritage and culture, with a basketball replacing the heart. The crown I chose was admittedly kind of plain, but it is not without its history for this franchise. I based the crown off of the one appearing in the logo Boston used during the 50s and 60s. For my effort in this logo, I received two bronze medal votes. EVENT 3: Wordmark The next event I entered, the task was to create a wordmark for a potential Los Angeles NFL team, utilizing one of three color palettes. The name I selected is a callback to a team from the All-America Football Conference that called Los Angeles home during the late 1940s. The imagery comes from the nearby La Brea Tar Pits, which are the final resting place for many prehistoric species including the mastodon (Dons being short for Mastodons). This wordmark was in all likelihood far too ambitious both for this event and for my designing abilities. Despite this, I still received a nice little triple crown of one gold, one silver, and one bronze vote for my submission. Nevertheless, I'd love to see how I can improve this with some feedback and continued work.
  16. Hey guys! Check out this little project I put together! Tried to do something different with it but still within the general realm of the Lakers identity. Let me know what you think!!
  17. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ORIGINAL POST: I decided to throw my hat in the ring for the Clippers' new look. This is just the rough draft right now, and I'll get into more detail (logos, uniforms, wordmark, numbers) later, but let me know what ya think...
  18. Hello all, this is my first post on Sportslogos.net and I am very excited to finally be able to share my concepts with the people on this site. I look forward to any comments and constructive criticism. The following concept is one that I came up with for the Los Angeles Clippers who as we all know received a downright awful rebrand a few weeks ago. I feel that my design better represents the Clippers motif than the design that was actually chosen. My concept includes a primary logo and a secondary logo... As well as a set of uniforms including a home jersey... A pair of road jerseys... A Back in Blue Alternate... And Finally a newly designed Court. Thank you for viewing my work and I look forward to your thoughts.
  19. With all the recent contests running for the rebrand of the LA Clippers, I wanted to join in on the fun. My concept has been online for about a week now and has received some cool reviews. I originally had designed it for a contest run by the LA Times. Not saying mine is better or worse than what the Clippers are using, this was just my take on the brand and the direction I would take with it. I really respect the opinions of the community on this site. Love to hear any thoughts or general convo about any other NBA teams that could use a rebrand. Thanks!
  20. Rebranding the Los Angeles Clippers © 2015 by ianbakar.com My take on what is currently the latest travesty in the world of professional sports branding. Full PDF on the link page, and link to PDF below: http://issuu.com/ianbakar/docs/laclippers_brandproposal
  21. I don't know if many people agree with me but I think that the Stadium Series jerseys had a lot of missed potential this year, especially for the LA side of things. I think their more muted colour pallet bodes well with a half / half design, and tried to show that here. Gone are the gimmicky chrome or whatever designs on the logo and white pants, instead, a gimmicky logo altogether. Straight from the 1990s, INTRODUCING!!! the Sunglasses Lion logo!! This logo is lifted from the shield that fans either seem to have a love or hate relationship with. Why the Sunglasses Lion? Well the game is outside of course. You need sunglasses to keep that California sun out of your eyes. So without further ado the concept! Anyway... If you have any comments, or criticisms go for it. I am all ears. But not really... A person who was 100% ears would have a hard time typing this out since they wouldn't have fingers.
  22. Hey guys, this is a kind of old concept I made for a minor league baseball team, but I never posted here. Im not really looking for critiques that much, but I figured some people may be interested to see it. The concept is based off of the La Brea tar pits and the saber tooth tigers that were trapped in them. The full project can be seen HERE. https://www.behance.net/gallery/12390015/LA-Tar-Tigers
  23. So there are rumors that the Rams will move back to LA. While I was thinking about this, I thought that a little rebranding would be in order. Of course, they would have to change the "St. Louis" in their logos to "Los Angeles". But I don't think any of the other logos ought to change. But I do think a little change in their uniforms is in order. I also think a new, gold alternate jersey should be added. Let me know what you think. C&C welcome. (PS I know the horns on the helmet look a little off. That's because I took it off a pic that had part of it cut off for the face mask) (PPS Credit for the template goes to McCraeWilliamsProductions)All pants and jerseys are interchangeable
  24. Hey guys, I decided to rebrand the Los Angeles Clippers. I decided to go with a nautical theme for the logo. One of the top three logos (where it says option#1, #2, and #3) would be the main logo, while the bottom two would be alternate logos. If you could, please vote on one of the top three logos. I could not decide which one I liked best, so I thought I'd leave it up to you. Leave feedback on any of these! Also, I would like to get some ideas on how to improve the court design. Especially the center court logo; it looks a little weird to me. Thanks guys!
  25. http://s1102.photobu...09983.jpeg.html Blue: AFC East Green: AFC North Orange: AFC South Red: AFC West As you can see (or not cause this is pretty :censored:ty haha), I relocated the Bills to Toronto, the Dolphins to South Beach, The Chargers to Portland, Oregon, and the Jaguars to Los Angeles. I think those cities are more deserving than the ones that have their teams currently and make the divisions make more sense. Update: Here is what I have so far for the Los Angeles Grizzlies!
