    MLB Concept Rebranding: Nike Edition

Hello everyone! As from my last topic, I didn't redesign that well and I wasn't being bold, so this thread will be. I will be "restarting" my old MLB topic from a year ago! This time, I will be doing the jerseys sponsered by Under Armour. Some logos will change and the colors may change. I know there is a lot of MLB threads out there, and I want to put my input on what I think they should do when the league switches to Under Armour. Each team will have a home uniform, road uniform, a home and road alt uniform, and a throwback uniform. C&C is very appriciated, as it helps me become a better designer. I hope you enjoy! I am starting with the Baltimore Orioles, then moving on with the American League then the National League. AL: Baltimore Orioles, Boston Red Sox, Chicago White Sox, Cleveland Indians V2, Detroit Tigers, Houston Astros V2, Kansas City Royals, Los Angeles Angels, Minnesota Twins V2, New York Yankees, Oakland A's, Seattle Mariners, Tampa Bay Stingrays, Texas Rangers, Toronto Blue Jays NL: Arizona Diamondbacks, Atlanta Braves, Chicago Cubs, Cincinnati Reds, Colorado Rockies V2, Los Angeles Dodgers, Miami Marlins, Milwaukee Brewers, New York Mets, Philadelphia Phillies, Pittsburgh Pirates, San Diego Padres, San Francisco Giants, St. Louis Cardinals, Washington Nationals BALTIMORE: I like the cartoon Oriole, and made that the primary logo. For the secondary, I made it the maryland flag logo with Baltimore surronding it. No changes really for the Orioles. Home Uniform: I added piping to the home uniform, and removed the white and black hat. I never really liked the 2 tone hat for Baltimore, so I made the hat Orange. I think that is an underused color for the Orioles. Road Uniform: Same as the home uniform, with the 2 color piping and kept the orange hat. Home Alt Uniform: I still added the piping, and made the hat black, with the socks being black. Road Alt Uniform: I changed the wordmark for the black uni, making it "Baltimore" instead of it saying "Orioles". I kept the hat orange also. Throwback Uniform: The Throwback unifrom is from the 1980 season, with the old Orioles script and the white hat.
  2. Chris Creamer and Sportslogos.net need your help. We're looking for MLB uniform enthusiasts, and designers who'd like to volunteer to create MLB uniform mock-ups for the site. Chris initially asked me if I could help out, but I'm a bit tied up in other projects. So he has given me the green light to seek help from the public. What is currently needed: Arizona (all jerseys), Houston (new navy blue alternate), San Diego (new home, new brown alternate, new blue camouflage), Milwaukee (new blue retro alternate), Minnesota (new red alternate) Below is the prefered template we'd like used on the site. (template by Bmac) You can download this SVG. template <here> Your help would be greatly appreciated.
  3. Some of you may have seen the previous versions of my National League uniform concepts that I was posting one day at a time on a separate topic, but to make it easier to look at and since I've also come up with some better ideas since then, here is the complete lineup of every NL uniform that I have created. (However due to the fact that the amount of jerseys exceeds the limit of images that one is allowed to post, I've broken it up into two parts.) I've gone back and made some minor modifications to a few of the existing ones, as well as adding some new jerseys. I will possibly make better versions of each uniform on a better template eventually, but for now I've just finalized the ideas of my designs and I'm looking for feedback. A description of each jersey is at the bottom of the page. Using the Wikipedia template, I tried to keep all the jerseys as close to the way they look as possible and if anything enhance them or remove elements that I felt weren't necessary or I just didn't like. Also I've included BP jerseys with each of the uniform sets, as well as a few throwbacks. The BP jerseys are made to more resemble the previous version the MLB wore prior to the kind they wear now. As an added touch, I've given all the teams traditional style stirrup socks and I've cleaned up the colors on the shoes a little bit too. Here's each team in alphabetical order.

    MLB Uniform Adjustments and Concepts

Hey everyone, This is my first submission of any type of concept, so bear with me as I learn the ropes and look to hopefully get better at this. As a St. Louisan, naturally my favorite sport is baseball, so I thought I would start off with the current MLB uniforms and modify them in places where I felt that they needed adjustment. Using the Wikipedia baseball jersey template, I tried to keep all the jerseys as close to the way they look as possible and if anything enhance them or remove elements that I felt weren't necessary or I just didn't like. Also I included BP jerseys with each of the uniform sets, as well as a few throwback uni's. As an added touch, I've given all the teams traditional style stirrup socks and I've cleaned up the colors on the shoes a little bit too. I will be starting off with the National League and will submit each team one at a time alphabetically. I appreciate your compliments and I'm open to any advice or constructive criticism. Please note that I'm entitled to my opinions as you are to yours, so please don't take offense at any of my thoughts or reasons for doing work on a particular team's jersey. That's just what I think and you don't have to agree with it. Anyway, here goes nothin'.Arizona DiamondbacksFirst off let me say that I never have liked the "D-backs" lettering on the current Arizona home jerseys. To me it just doesn't look like an MLB jersey. However I've always loved the southwestern style "A" made to look like a snake head. Taking that logo and basing the jerseys off the design of the 90's D-backs jerseys, I made a modern version of them with just the "A" logo at home and on the alternate red jersey. The road jersey is pretty much left unchanged, as well as the black alternate and the BP jersey is basically the same as the red alternate, just without the sleeve cuff stripes and a two-tone colored hat. I'll post the next one in a couple days. First I'd like to see how much feedback I get from this one. Thanks everybody and have a great day!

    Brave-Bird 08's MLB 2013-14

Howdy folks, I'm posting my first concept of my next concept series! To those who have followed my NFL redesign, I'm down to five teams! Those will be completed very, very soon, but I want to get this next project up before first pitch tonight. This MLB redesign is going to be pretty progressive. I know a lot of people restrict themselves when doing major league concepts, so I'm going to let loose and get weird on these (to an extent). Drop some comments and ask if you want to see any changes to each concept--luckily JAYJACKSON'S wonderful template is very inkscape friendly, so doing tweaks is super quick! PLEASE DO NOT ASK ME FOR THE TEMPLATE. Atlanta Braves As a Braves fan, I'm a huge fan of the old Hank Aaron look, though the triple-stroke wordmark and numbers from that era really funked up the design. This uniform makes a huge jump in removing the two most iconic parts of the current identity, which are the 'A' and the tomahawk. The concept identity focuses on the feather logo, which I think is one of the more original and aesthetically pleasing elements in baseball uniform history. I used it on the cap, which gives off an indian head dress vibe. The home white and road grey are pretty similar, overall, to the current look. Notice the red bill returns for both solid-colored caps. Also, the blue is much lighter. The yoked-alternate is intended to be a Sunday alternate, while the blue shirt can be worn for home and road games.
