  1. Hi! Not new here but it has been long since I finished my last concept... And now back with a NFL to NBA concept. First I want to thank @R3G for his amazing nike NBA template! Very user-friendly. The 1990s NBA jerseys seem to be controversial because of it's colors and details, and I would like to see how the NFL teams can fit into it. Since the Eagles unveiled their current set in 1990s so I decided to start with it. Inspired by the 1992-95 Hawks set and 1997-2011 Wizards set, which both have single-sided stripe and similar curved jersey logos. May back with the white/alt or I will start another new team. C&C is always appreciated!! Thanks for reading!!
  2. As a Jazz fan who's not a huge fan of the current design (minus the City Edition jersey), I figured I would try my hand at redesigning the team. Changing the colors to dark purple, teal, and copper, the team resurrects a snowflake logo. The Association uniform is off-white, the Icon uniform purple, the Statement uniform teal, and the new City Edition uniform a gradient going from pewter blue to dark blue. C&C welcome!
  3. Hi Guys, its my first thread on these boards after I have been a long time lurker. Love the whole idea of concepts/re-designs so i thought i would do most of the NBA, Some jerseys are awesome this season...some not so. Like i said i will be doing most teams so i will update as i go along FIRST UP IS THE BULLS. Got some inspiration for the white & red jerseys from the current Timberwolves jerseys (i love them) Thought i would keep the traditional bulls red. black & white scheme going throughout and the fade in the background. The black jersey incorporates the classic red pinstripe from the Jordan era....this one is my fave out of the trio. Any feedback would be great.
  4. I didnt think these were worthy of two separate threads, but a VERY SIMPLE graphic i made for the playoffs. Each box gets filled in after a win, as you can see with the NHL after 1 game for each. The teams facing off are across from each other, its a race to fill in the triangle in the middle, claiming the majority, making you move on. In the larger hexagon they are in, the two teams that get the triangles that are touching will get to face off in the next round. Simple. I always wanted to see one like this as opposed to the wild designs like the filling in of the rink. Itd be cool if there were some kind of comments/suggestions but theres no need as this isnt really a "concept" NHL day 3 NBA Day 1
  5. Yes, for 13 teams(to be 14 after tonight), the dream of the Lawrence F. O'Brien Trophy being in their hands is just that, a dream. Please to be discussing your next-season prospects here.
  6. NBA 2K League

So apparently the NBA is getting into eSports, with the NBA 2K League. The inaugural season features 17 teams, each with their own parent club, being an NBA team. Here are the logos and a little blurb about each. All of them were designed by RARE Design of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, with input from franchises. Pacers Gaming "The logo features a modernized Pacers Panther which is unique to the franchise. Kelly Krauskopf, current Indiana Fever President and Pacers SVP said, “Boomer is part of the Pacers heritage; the logo takes Boomer into another dimension.” Krauskopf continued, “Our goal was to create a logo that connected with our past while communicating an edgy, confident and dynamic esports brand. I think we accomplished that.”" Pistons Gaming Team (GT) "The Pistons GT logo incorporates branding elements of the Detroit Pistons while presenting an individualized, distinctive logo to exist in the NBA 2K League and appeal to gamers worldwide. The new logo integrates automotive piston imagery into a progressive design that is representative of the toughness, attitude and hardcore spirit of the region and its basketball history." Cavs Legion GC "The Cavs Legion GC official team colors are wine and gold, consistent with the look and feel of the Cavaliers NBA team franchise. The official team logo features a contemporary adaptation of the Cavalier profile, set above the team name in a sharp typeface that’s inspired by the edges of a sword. “The team’s name, colors and logo honor the heritage of the organization, yet reflects the bold new territory of esports and the renegade nature of a Cavalier,” said Tracy Marek, Cavs Chief Marketing Officer. “This results in an edgy, new-age version of the iconic Cavs brand that fits within the current esports landscape. We are excited for the opportunity to bring the same energy and passion we put into our other properties to Cavs Legion and the entire esports community.”" (Quick side note: The description here mentions how the font is inspired by the "edge of a sword" when every team uses the same font. Weird, huh?) Mavs Gaming "For Mavs Gaming, this was about finding the true meaning of what makes a modern Maverick. “We wanted a symbol that was unexpected, fearless, with a swagger that is rooted in our Dallas heritage,” said Dallas Mavericks and Mavs Gaming owner Mark Cuban. “We are confident that whomever we draft for our team will be proud to wear it.”" Kings Guard Gaming "The team logo is rooted in the ferocity of the lion, the nobility of the crown and the strength associated with the color black. A new lion was created to mesh the iconic Kings marks with a fresh, esports appeal. The name, Kings Guard, references the passion of esports players entering a virtual battleground." Wizards District Gaming "The identity for Wizards District Gaming draws inspiration from the Washington Wizards’ brand. Fans and supporters will quickly recognize a commitment to the city through both the incorporation of “District” into the formal name, as well as the three stars that pay homage to the District of Columbia flag. The “Monumental” spaces reflect the inclusion into the larger MSE family, while paying tribute to the Washington Monument, a prominent feature of the DC skyline. The logo also encompasses key values that are important to the overall MSE brand, including a community-first approach, inclusivity and technological innovation. The logo provides fans with a new, yet familiar way to experience Monumental’s newest franchise." Magic Gaming "The Magic Gaming logo incorporates elements from the NBA Magic team’s logo, including the identifiable colors of Magic Black and Magic Silver and the iconic basketball, while providing an edgier, more mysterious feel that captures the essence and identity of the NBA 2K League team. The color black, primarily featured, conveys a sense of strength and power. This modernized and innovative look also includes Magic Gaming’s secondary logo featuring the iconic star." Heat Check Gaming "Bringing the Heat. Competition. We live for it, love it, and will burn you with it. It’s who we are. Our culture. We are the hardest working, best conditioned, toughest, meanest, nastiest team you’re gonna face, so go ahead and get in line for your participation trophy, because the big one is ours. We’re here for one reason — to win — so if you can’t take the Heat…" Jazz Gaming "The primary icon and global logos, which pay tribute to the Jazz as well as the state of Utah, feature the letter “U” in the color white in the shape of the state of Utah. It is tilted at 66 degrees, with the drop shadow forming the letter “J” in gold and outlined in navy. The secondary logo features "Jazz Gaming" with a beamed pair of eighth notes in place of the "A" in Jazz." Celtics Gaming "Tradition defined. Few clubs — very few — have a tradition or a heritage that run as deep as ours. Celtic pride isn’t just a mantra, it’s a way of life. Green isn’t just our color, it’s our lifeblood. And winning isn’t just a hope, it’s our heritage." Blazer5 Gaming "The new Blazer5 Gaming logo draws its inspiration from the Trail Blazers iconic pinwheel design. The logo makes use of the franchise’s red, black, and white color palette, melding the classic five-on-five swirl into two energetic interlocking blocks. The result captures the inherent action of the original logo, while representing both the individual and team aspects of the competitive esports world." Warriors Gaming Squad "The Warriors Gaming Squad logo serves as a visual bridge between the NBA Golden State Warriors franchise and its NBA 2K League team. The Warriors Gaming Squad logo’s inspiration came from early video game designs that relied on a square, flat graphic, which later progressed to a cube and three-dimensional design. The logo pays homage to the old and celebrates the new as it appears flat and three-dimensional simultaneously. It is contained in a circle, which evokes a basketball and the rich history of the Warriors organization." Raptors Uprising Gaming Club (GC) "Raptors Uprising GC reflects the Toronto Raptors organization’s ‘outsider’ attitude while the esports team’s logo is a chevron, pointing North, taken from the side of the Raptors jersey." Knicks Gaming "We are New York, baby. We rep the greatest city on earth. Our city that never sleeps. Our city that expects toughness. Our city that expects soul. Our city that defines and redefines the game on its streets, and within its chain-linked courts, at will. And we rep our city with grit, heart, and hustle... Forever." (Gosh I wish I could say this is a joke.) Grizz Gaming "Grizz Gaming’s logo is bold and balanced. It is inspired by the Grizzlies’ tenacity, updated for a digital space. The ‘Grizz Gaming’ GG ligature combines the ‘Grit and Grind’ ethos of the Grizzlies NBA franchise with a tacit nod to a traditional gaming sign-off, ‘Good Game’. The bear claw updates the Grizzlies’ secondary logo, elevating it to primary logo status, with each of the five claws representing the five players on the team. The official colors invoke a more simplified version of the Grizzlies’ color scheme, boldly relying on the Grizzlies’ fan favorite Beale Street and Midnight Blues." Bucks Gaming "The primary logo for Bucks Gaming features a stag, which throughout mythology has been portrayed as the king of the forest. With distinct lines and sharp edges creating a buck ready to strike, the Bucks Gaming logo represents the organization’s fierce independence and bold confidence. Negative space in the logo is utilized in the buck’s head to create both a “B” representing Bucks Gaming, as well as subtle reminders of the buck’s forward movement. The logo represents the idea of genuine nobility, with the buck’s antlers creating a figurative crown declaring his place at the front of the pack with a deep sense of pride." 76ers Gaming Club (GC) "Inspired by the city’s revolutionary origins and the modern edge of the esports athlete, the primary logo reflects the number “76” fused into the shape of a bell in tribute to Philadelphia’s iconic Liberty Bell and 1776 signing of the Declaration of Independence." All logos/descriptions taken from these three websites: https://nba.2k.com/2kleague/blog/team-logos-revealed-part-i/ https://nba.2k.com/2kleague/blog/team-logos-revealed-part-2/ https://nba.2k.com/2kleague/blog/team-logos-revealed-part-3/ All in all, I think these suck. The only decent ones are 76ers GC, Blazer5, and Jazz Gaming, in my opinion. The rest all feel so corporate, and since they were all made by RARE, none of them have any personality. But that's just my two cents. What do you guys think? (Quick P.S.: I'm sorry if this has already been discussed. I just found out about this and wanted to discuss.)
  7. I have been snooping around on here for a while and I am ready to give it a shot. Because I am getting on Spring Break right now, I decided I would do a project. I am going to be refreshing and redesigning many big four sports teams. Here's a list: MLB Baltimore Orioles Tampa Bay Rays Cleveland Indians Minnesota Twins Houston Astros Los Angeles Angels Oakland A's Texas Rangers New York Mets (Page 1) Philadelphia Phillies (Page 1) Cincinnati Reds Pittsburgh Pirates Los Angeles Dodgers San Francisco Giants NHL Boston Bruins New York Islanders New York Rangers Washington Capitals Los Angeles Kings San Jose Sharks NFL Cleveland Browns Pittsburgh Steelers Kansas City Chiefs New York Jets Indianapolis Colts Green Bay Packers Washington Redskins NBA Boston Celtics Brooklyn Nets Orlando Magic (Page 1) Dallas Mavericks Los Angeles Clippers Los Angeles Lakers Utah Jazz (Page 2) Here's the first team Team: Philadelphia Phillies League: MLB Reason for Update: Too much for too little The old Phillies logo is just too busy for no reason. I got rid of the baseball field outline and the underline. C&C Apperciated. Next team will be the Mets so stay tuned!
  8. VB Dolphins Concept

Hello! I have a concept for y'all to look at! So in Virginia Beach, we have dolphin statues around the town. It's a lot like the neighboring city Norfolk, which has mermiad statues around that town. Here's an example: Also, we're supposed to be getting an NBA-sized arena at some point, which was originally going to be used for the Knigs, but they stayed. I created an idea for an expansion team called the Virginia Beach Dolphins, which is inspired by the dolphins around town. Here's my primary logo: The secondary logo will come in a later post. The colors are what I call "Virginia Blue" and "Kelp Green." C+C appreciated!
  9. I made an update concept of an old favorite logo. I thought it was too much things going on in the old version. so i cleaned it up. i took the font on the crown and used it as a main font for the logo
  10. LSUA GENERALS LOGO CONCEPT

I had started a thread in the sports logos section a few months back in regards to this design. I recently made contact with someone from LSUA who advised me they did not choose any of the entries they received for their contest. So with that being said I can now go ahead and post my work. The idea behind this concept was to use a TIGER to create a link between LSUA and LSU while introducing a fresh interpretation that would connect to the Generals nickname. Secondary and tertairy marks were added to further tie in to the Generals home and location while also making it a complete set. Check em out and let me know what you all think. Appreciate everyone's C&C. Thanks for stopping by!
  11. Washington Bullets update concept

I thought the Bullets old jerseys were a bit too messy. and that their 90's jerseys were too red and unpleasant for the eyes. so I tried to do something in between. Their court I thought had far too much empty space and too small logos. so I pulled them up a bit. and I fixed some angels on the primary logo.
  12. NBA Finals 2018 - Possible Teams

I was not sure on making this as many other people could've. This is how you guys's predictions will work, you put what you think the teams rank before the name, and put west: in front of one and east: in front of another. Ex: West:Warriors1 East:Cavs3
  13. Team Color Changes

In the Major 4 sports -- for the most part when there is a logo change the team colors stay the same -- or don't vary much from the base color. I know there are a few teams that have traded in red, blue, white for green, black and white (as an example). But, there aren't many ... I was trying to make a list of teams in the NBA, NHL, MLB and NFL, I know I didn't catch them all, so I'd love the boards help.
  14. Omaha Lucky Buckets NBA Concept

This is the first design of mine that I am uploading to this site. Pretty much all of the logos are a mashup of different logos I found. The name Lucky Buckets is from the famous Lucky Bucket Brewing Company originating from Nebraska. I thought it would be interesting to design a concept based on the brand. Let me know what you think and respectful criticism is more than welcome. BTW, I've used the program GIMP to do my designs, so I apologize that these aren't "professionally" done. Main Logo: Alternate Logo: Home Jersey Text Away Jersey Text Bottle-cap Logo NBA 2K Design
  15. Kansas City Hunters - NBA Concept

Hello! Im just posting this concept for the NBA. I honestly think the NBA should expand to 32 teams. Feel free to comment!
  16. Seattle Supersonics concept

I Want some sonic boom back! Here's an Seattle Supersonics concept I made
  17. update and rebranding New Jersey Nets

here is a logo concept and uptate I did of 1990/91 - 1996/97 New Jersey Nets logo. logo. I´ve always thought it was an excellent logo. But the colors and finish were awful.
  18. Because there was no good picture here on Sportslogos.net on one of my favorite all-star logos in nba. I rebuilt it. And made some adjustments. among other things, so the wave's side follows the blue outer edge and removes some foam from the wave which I thought was unnecessary and superfluous. as well as changed the blue color.
  19. NBA All Star Game jerseys

Quick little concept here, with the NBA All Star Game approaching soon. The jerseys that were unveiled (or leaked, not really sure where we stand on that) were plain awful. I decided to whip up a quick concept using gold and silver as the main colors, and here's what I came up with. On the back collar is the NBA logo with "L" and "A" on either side, and on the chest is a star with the number of ASG the player has been selected to. I had originally tried to put the number of stars somewhere on the jersey, but with guys who have a lot of games under their belt (LeBron and his 14) it's hard to fit that many stars on a jersey in a good looking way. Anyways, here it is.
  20. I'm not a big basketball guy (in fact, this is my first basketball concept ever), but I'm an Atlantan and very displeased with the Hawks uniforms. The shift to navy blue and red 10-15 years ago felt foreign (I know they had worn those colors before, but it was so long ago) but was at least relatively harmless. I was excited to see an emphasis put back on the Pac Man logo as they slowly reintroduced him. However, the way the redesign was executed left me with a bad taste in my mouth. The red was very prominent. That much was good. Navy blue was out; also good. In its place was a dark gray...not the familiar black, but better, nonetheless. Where it really fell apart was the hideous volt. What a terrible color that looks so out of place! I also realize the Hawks have used lime green before, but they hadn't used it paired with these new colors. The red, gray, and volt felt like a cheap knockoff version of the Hawks I grew up with. The Hawks have such great inspiration to pull from, and the current iteration with the feather pattern misses the mark. Overly detailed, poor color balance (can I say gaudy?), too trendy and already outdated. Definitely not "timeless." I wanted to come up with a design that feels familiar for the Hawks but pushes the needle a bit. The Dominique Wilkins era uniforms were near perfect for the time but don't quite translate to today's NBA. The Hawks need to emphasize red, white, and yellow. The current red and black sets are screaming for some white to balance it out because the volt makes it look dirty and dingy. Black should definitely be used sparingly and in this case, I relegated it only to an alternate uniform. It works because black is familiar for Atlanta, but leaves the main uniforms untouched. Those sets don't need any black at all. I took the forward looking graphic of the script and applied it throughout the uniform: the front and back number, as well as the NOB. I skipped name and number outlines in the interest of letting the design do the talking. It has a "loud" script so I wanted to keep the rest of the set fairly minimalistic. I originally had a contrasting collar and shoulder trim, but I got rid of those for the same reason. I created the new Nike template from scratch and if there's interest I may release it. Still playing around with it and optimizing it for use. It includes all the various seams and mesh panels. _________________________________________ TEMPLATE RELEASE I have tried to make this pretty user friendly. Just pay attention when you're changing the color of the uniform to also swap the inner garment color. There's a shadow layer and if you disable that layer's visibility, then you can click the inner garment color and swap that. I tweaked a couple things from my original design: got rid of the dashed stitching and just made it solid since it's hardly visible, anyways...added a jock tag, inner neck detailing, etc. The file is an Adobe Illustrator file (which I believe should also open and be compatible within Inkscape). https://drive.google.com/file/d/1qnKqVYduUtFGMPYpiAdCT93F1Dt7s5Y0/view?usp=sharing
  21. Hey all, I decided to try and create retired number banners for current NBA players and their respective teams. These banners are based off the actual style of retired number banners the team uses (with exception to LAC and OKC since they havent retired any numbers yet). Justifications as to why I did or did not include certain players (HM=Honorable Mentions) are included below as well. I hope you think these are good and they are free to use and respond with any suggestions! I will be doing this series for the NHL as well after! ATLANTA: Joe Johnson (played majority of his all-star career with the organization and led them to many playoff births) HM: Josh Smith, Al Horford (neither put up good enough numbers) BOSTON: None No HM BROOKLYN: Vince Carter (All-star and leader for all of his nearly 6 years with the team), Brook Lopez (considering the Nets history of honoring long-tenured players and Lopez's solid numbers, it's very likely he'll see his number in the rafters) HM: Richard Jefferson, Deron Williams (neither were as effective as the other two players mentioned) CHARLOTTE: Kemba Walker (will be a multi-time all-star, a first for the "Hornets" in years) No HM CLEVELAND: LeBron James (OBVIOUS REASONS) HM: Mo Williams (not effective enough), Kevin Love (too early to call/not on team long enough), Kyrie Irving (went out on sour note) CHICAGO: Derrick Rose (a homegrown kid, multi-time all-star, and only the second Bulls player to win MVP outside of MJ) HM: Joakim Noah (DPOY but didn't do much outside of that and a few all-star appearances) DALLAS: Dirk Nowitzki (OBVIOUS REASONS) No HM DENVER: Carmelo Anthony (Denver scoring leader and put the team back on the map after years of futility) No HM DETROIT: None No HM GOLDEN STATE: Stephen Curry (OBVIOUS REASONS), Klay Thompson (leader and all-star for the current team, likely career Warrior), Draymond Green (top-tier defensive talent and leader for Warriors) HM: Kevin Durant (not on team long enough yet), Monta Ellis (not effective enough/bad teams) HOUSTON: James Harden (likely career Rocket, potential future MVP, and consistent all-star and team leader) No HM INDIANA: None HM: Paul George (left on sour note and didn't play with team long enough) LA CLIPPERS: Chris Paul (team leader and consistent all-star, delivering Clips to playoffs), Blake Griffin (career Clip, multi-time all-star, fashioned lob city era) HM: DeAndre Jordan (not effective enough) LA LAKERS: None HM: Pau Gasol (didn't play with team long enough and wasn't effective enough) MEMPHIS: Marc Gasol (all-star and Memphis' soft process on retired numbers) HM: Mike Conley (too early to call/not effective enough), Pau Gasol (didn't play on team long enough) MIAMI: Chris Bosh (sad story/way he went out, multi-time all-star), Dwyane Wade (OBVIOUS REASONS), LeBron James (brought in championships and was MVP with Heat) HM: Udonis Haslem (devoted, but not effective enough to pass Heat's lenient standards) MILWAUKEE: None HM: Giannis Antetokounmpo (too early to call) MINNESOTA: Kevin Love (multi-time all-star and double double leader) No HM NEW ORLEANS: Anthony Davis (Multi-time all-star and leader for Pels) HM: Demarcus Cousins (not on team long enough yet) NEW YORK: Carmelo Anthony (leader and all-star all 7 years on the team) No HM OKLAHOMA CITY: Russell Westbrook, Kevin Durant (BOTH OBVIOUS REASONS) HM: James Harden (not on team long enough), Nick Collison (not effective enough, despite longest tenure) ORLANDO: None HM: Dwight Howard (disrespected team and city, very up in the air/not a guarantee) PHILADELPHIA: None No HM PHOENIX: N/A (do not have retired number banners) PORTLAND: Damien Lillard (multi-time all-star, leader, and likely career Blazer) HM: LaMarcus Aldridge (not on team long enough and not effective enough in time there) SAN ANTONIO: Manu Ginobili (career Spur and team leader), Tony Parker (see "Manu"), Kawhi Leonard (multi-time DPOY and all-star, new team leader) No HM SACRAMENTO: None HM: Demarcus Cousins (wasn't effective/respected enough in tenure, plus Kings' reluctance to retire numbers easily) TORONTO: Vince Carter (multi-time all-star and put Raptors on the map), Demar DeRozan (Canadian player, multi-time all-star, and career Raptor) HM: Kyle Lowry (too up-in-the-air) UTAH: None HM: Deron Williams (disrespected organization and not effective enough) WASHINGTON: John Wall (career Wizard, multi-time all-star and team leader) HM: Bradley Beal (too early to cal, no all-star appearances)
  22. NBA 2017-2018 City Uniforms

With the NBA City Uniforms released, let's take a moment to reflect on them. Personally, my favorite are the Indiana Pacers, as I love the nod to the Indy 500, with the finish line and the numbers in the circle Feel free to state your opinions here!
  23. OKC Thunder

OKC's Statement uniforms could make for an interesting and unique look if they were to incorporate that design into a full set. I put together a few jerseys to see what that could look like. What do you think? EDIT: Here are a couple alternate white looks. (Special thanks to @R3G for sharing your template!)
  24. NBA Changes 2018-19

I guess we're starting to look forward to the 2018-19 season with the recent news of the Charlotte Hornets wearing the white version of their classic throwbacks next year. Just on a side note, it'll be interesting to see if the Hornets follow that up in 2019-20 with their purple throwback jerseys? Obviously that's just speculation. As far as other changes at this point, I am not sure if we've heard anything else. I would assume more teams will wear classic throwbacks and we'll see a new wave of community jerseys since apparently those will be a yearly change for some if not all teams?
  25. What throwbacks from the big four major sports(NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL) that hasn't been seen before do you want to see in a game, a season, or for now on? Here's my first pick: The NFL's Tennessee Titans going with wearing the mid to late '60s Houston Oilers uniforms for a game would be cool to see, but that's me.
