  1. NCAA Football Video Game Ideas

This thread is for any suggestions, ideas, or recommendations, you have for a new NCAA Football game. This includes any game features you'd like to see added, changed, or deleted.
  2. At the University of Mississippi, the athletic teams are the heart of the student body. Whether it is a crisp Autumn Saturday Locking the Vaught, getting weird at the Pavilion, or a sunny and 75 beer shower at Swayze, it is safe to say that the Rebels are the largest entity that can unite the students, faculty, fanbase, and state as one giant, high-spirited, hospitable, and often inebriated, family. With that being said, why not try to unite the different sports teams, at least in uniform aesthetics? With this concept, that is exactly what I have attempted to do. What it will consist of are football, baseball, and basketball uniforms and their various combinations, as well as a "new" group of wordmarks and number font that will send Ole Miss into this new era of national recognition and success in one recognizable and "fresh" brand, while still encapsulating and embracing the traits and nuances of the Rebel legends before them (How ya like that for "Nike-speak," eh?). Forward Together, Rebs. We are Ole Miss.
  3. This is something I've wanted to do for a while. I like the "create-a-team" or "Team Builder" feature in sports games and for years, (seriously, ever since the Nintendo 64 days) I've always wanted to go deeper into the customization of the teams. Even though they've come a long way, it's still pretty limited. So, in an effort to send out my ideas that I've had ever since I was a kid, I'm starting a "Create-a-_______" series for this forum. Starting with: Now before any of you get too excited, there is no official word on NCAA Football coming back this year. I HOPE it does, but it's still just a rumor at this point. This game features "TeamBuilder", and with all the logo/branding junkies here, I know several of you are glad that it exists but feels that it could be a bit better than what it is. I could go on about the uniforms, but I'll get to those later. What I really want to focus on for this thread is the stadium creation part of Team Builder, which is lacking. And by lacking, I mean all you're really doing is designing the field (also limited) and picking from a preset design. That would be fine, but if you're like me, that ain't good enough. During the week, I'll get into more detail, maybe even designing menu screens to let you fully see what my vision is for a "StadiumBuilder" feature. I'll also post real-world examples with each category. Stay tuned, folks.
  4. Football Field Templates

Links to each full size template: NFL - paint friendly: http://cisprod.clarion.edu/~s_arsnelick/NFLFIELD/field.html !!! Warning !!! I updated the templates for the paint version of the NFL field to correct the number size and hash size. That change has not been reflected in the Photoshop version. I don't have Photoshop, so anyone who wants to update the .PSD file with the current template, send me a PM. The field is 9376 x 5728 pixels, which is to a scale of 1px=.5inches. So a line width of 4in on an NFL field works out to be 8px on the template. I also added a feature that allows for easy fill around numbers by making the inside white and an outside border rgb 250x250x250 so that from a distance the numbers look all white, but they can have an easy border fill. Also the grass is different colors between each yard line allowing for an easy fill for differently shaded grass. Here is a link to a post with an example of multiple grass shades: http://boards.sportslogos.net/topic/99132-nfl-field-template-completed/?p=2259231 There is also a textured version for photoshop (texture provided by DarthBrooks) !!!Warning!!! The current .PSD version is not to scale Credits: NFL - paint friendly: pitt6pack and SFCOM1 NFL - textured .PNG: Texture provided by and implemented by Darth Brooks and mgdmhl NFL - textured .PSD: Texture provided by Darth Brooks, implemented by mgdmhl NCAA - paint friendly: SFCOM1 NCAA - textured: Texture provided by Darth Brooks, implemented by mgdmhl High School - paint friendly: SFCOM1 High School - textured: Texture provided by Darth Brooks, implemented by mgdmhl Arena (straight endzones) - paint friendly: SFCOM1 Arena (curved endzones) - paint friendly: SFCOM1
  5. It won't go anywhere, but kudos to NW for continuing to push the subject. Read more. The NCAA urinated on this by referencing the golden rule: Thoughts?
  6. Hey all! Its been a while since i've posted a concept but I managed to find some free time to sit down and crank some stuff out. So one of my favorite concepts that ive done in the past was my B1G pro combat series where i took all the teams using Nike uniforms and developed one-off pro combat uniforms for them. Now with the recent expansion of the B1G to include Rutgers and Maryland, I thought it might be cool to go back and revisit this idea of redoing the B1G - but in this hypothetical situation Nike has exclusive rights to every school in the conference (however unrealistic ad that might be). The design intent here wasn't necessarily to go crazy and give every school the bat crazy Nike treatment but to develop full-time sets that i think look awesome, relate to and respect the school and its history while providing modern touches and to create uniforms i think Nike would make in the real world. For the teams that are already using Nike, i want to build off of my previous pro combat concepts and try to develop cohesive sets based on the foundation i've already laid. I plan on doing home and away sets for each team and if all goes well possibly do some rivalry sets as well - we'll see. Some C&C is welcomed and appreciated! So far i have completed 7 teams out of 14... 7. Deadspin's claiming that Manti T'eo's girlfriend, the one who allegedly died of leukemia and carved this legend out of the Irish star, never died. They say the entire thing was fabricated. Very, very weird.
