  1. New LA Clippers logo (prototype)

As many (most?) of you know, the (vast) majority of people think the new/current Los Angeles Clippers logo sucks... and for good reason. But spontaneously - out of absolutely nowhere - I came up with a brilliant concept. If nobody has thought of this before, I might actually be surprised. (Maybe a little?) Well, check this one out! It's a prototype that exemplifies the best of minimalist design (which is the trend du jour), while incorporating elements that make way too much sense. And yes - the red and blue used here is EXACTLY the same as that used in the current and former Los Angeles Clippers logos. The logo looks like a boat, which is a stand-in for a Clipper ship - the Los Angeles Clippers, which were originally based in the naval city of San Diego (as the San Diego Clippers), borrows its nickname from the aforementioned seafaring vessel. The logo incorporates a stylized "LA" (which you can see here), and the bottom of the logo incorporates a part of a basketball, which is commonplace for NBA logos. (By my count, two-thirds of all NBA teams have this as part of their primary logo.) Not to brag, but I say that this idea is too good to ignore. If someone improves upon this design and it gets some serious press, I've done my job already. Thoughts? Disclaimer: This work, illustrated herein, is an entirely original concept by sj10689 (the original author of this thread); any other logos/designs which have already been created prior to the posting of this comment, that bear any (striking) similarity, or is (almost) exactly the same, constitutes a circumstance which is purely coincidental. Therefore, as sj10689 is verily the creator of this work, which was not in any way inspired by, nor copied from any other pre-existing works, sj10689 assumes full ownership of this property. P.S.: I go by "Adam_Halverson" outside the forums, on sportslogos.net. I reposted this concept on the Los Angeles Clippers primary logo page.
  2. Updated Detroit Red Wings Logo

Hi all, As many of you know, the Detroit Red Wings logo is the oldest logo in the NHL right now. As sacrilegious as this sounds, I decided to modernize/refresh the look of the Red Wings' classic logo quite a bit. Some of the new updates would include: 1. A New Wheel: The most prominent difference is the updated wheel, reflecting a modern car wheel cover. Additionally, the cap now showcases the rarely used alternate "D" logo. 2. Updated/Significant Wings and Feathers: On the current logo, the feathers are relatively rough and hard to replicate on merchandise. I decided to smoothen out the feathers on the wings, while also adding a bit of significance to the feathers too. If you take a look, the back feathers contain 11 "dents", representing the 11 stanley cups the team has won. 3. Minor smoothing: Rougher/inconsistent edges are smoothened out and evened. 4. New Font: The current font used by the Red Wings reflects the same font as the former home, Joe Louis Arena. In order to reflect the change into the new arena, I updated the serif for the team as well. This is a bit rough, but tell me what y'all think if the Red Wings chose to do this? OLD: NEW:
  3. Yuengling new packaging

I wouldn't say it was a necessary change but no harm done. Definitely a more uniform brand now.
  4. Cleveland Browns New Concept

Hi, We all know how awful the Browns are and, more specifically, how awful and bland their helmet logo has been. So, I decided to create a fun concept attempting to fix the Browns' identity once and for all. Integrating both Browns history (here) and the identity of Cleveland (here), I think this logo would be great. Hope you guys like it! Feel free to comment any suggestions or praise!
  5. Hello concepts board! For this new project, I have collaborated with @XenonDesigns on redesigning a Division II NCAA school in my former state of New Mexico, the Eastern New Mexico University Greyhounds. So here we go with the reveal of the redesign. ALL CREDIT to @XenonDesigns for the logo. Mainly the point of this logo to give the same logo a more modern look. Now here is the secondary logo. The zia is still a big part of the old primary logo, but Xenon decided to remove that from the primary and make it a secondary. And now here are the soccer kits, also courtesy of @XenonDesigns. (I will be doing work in this series, I will release the basketball and football uniforms in a couple of days.) HOME SOCCER KIT: AWAY SOCCER KIT: Like I mentioned above, the basketball and football uniforms that I will make will be released in the next couple of days. But for now, all critiquing goes to Xenon. Thanks guys!
  6. New England Revolution Logo Concept

Hey Guys! If you remember, I already made a Revolution Logo concept, I just had an idea and wanted to run with it! This logo is a simple crest with 13 stripes for the US flag. Also, I have "N" and "E" for New England that fills in for the stars. 1776 for the year of United States Independence. And there you have it, another Revolution Logo Concept. Hope you like this one! C&C Welcome!
  7. New Aquafina logo

I saw about 1/2 the water bottles in the mini fridges at the grocery store had a different Aquafina logo on them What do you think?
  8. Hey all, I got this idea a while back for a new sport to play (well, modified from an existing sport at least) and I thought it could be fun (plus good design -practice) to take it and build a league concept around it, so here we go! The sport is called Reflex. It is a modified form of Tchoukball (click the link to see a highlight reel), where teams score points by throwing a ball against a rebound net and having it hit the ground before the defense can catch it. The sport has elements primarily of ultimate and handball. Games are played on a hardwood court with walls around it the size of a standard hockey rink. Some major rules are: * 6 Players on the court for each team. * Player with the ball cannot take more than two steps. * Player with the ball cannot hold onto it more than 5 seconds. * Either team can score off either rebound net when ball is in their possession, but must complete a minimum of three passes before a shot is attempted. * If the offense drops the ball, steps in or has the ball land in the red zone, commits a penalty, or allows the defense to intercept the ball in they lose possession. * If the defense catches the ball off the rebound net, no points are awarded to the offense and the defense gains possession. * Contact is not allowed, and the defense cannot enter the forbidden zone. Major defensive penalties result in a penalty shot for the offense. Minor penalties result in a player spending 1 minute in the penalty box. * Hockey-style substitutions. Scoring: * 1 Point - Ball rebounds off net and hits ground in 1-Point Zone * 2 Points - Ball rebounds off net and hits ground in 2-Point Zone * 3 Points - Ball rebounds off net and hits ground beyond the 2-Point Zone * Reflex - After the offensive player bounces the ball off the rebound net, a teammate catches the ball and immediately throws it off the rebound net again, after which is hits the ground in one of the scoring areas. Worth 3 Points + Points corresponding to where the ball hits the ground (so if 2nd throw bounces and lands in the 2-point zone its worth a total of 5 points). Team locations (will be a 20 team league), names and logos will be unveiled in the coming days, but here is a diagram of the playing surface for the United Reflex League. A larger version of the league logo will be posted next. C&C is appreciated, enjoy! These teams are posted so far (in order of post date): Austin, Milwaukee, Atlanta, Omaha, Grand Rapids, New Orleans, Albuquerque, San Jose, Columbus, Orlando, San Diego, Denver, Chicago, Charlotte, Oklahoma, Utah, Hartford, Nashville, Phoenix, Portland I'm also going to add secondary logos and uniforms to the posts linked to above as they are made for easy locating, in addition to their own dedicated posts.
  9. Houston Rockets: A Merging of Eras

Hello everyone and thank you for visiting this thread. this will be a short concept that ill be doing of the Houston Rockets. I like the Rockets current logo for the reasos that it is simple and simple is always good but its missing the creativity of the old logos so i decided to do a mash-up of a few of the logos. it isnt done yet but i would love some C&C on what can be improved (i will be adding a rocket into the logo so dont say "ADD A ROCKET") but i will accept any response if you dont think it needs one. the 2 logos i chose to merge with the current logo are the San Diego Rockets & The 72-95 Logo(Championship era) Logos pictured below San Diego: 72-95 Championship era: i went with the colors of the 95 logo and the negative space in the san diego logo i added to the new one. now without further ado heres version 1.0 of the logo i came up with.
