This was @JJ Anderes' and my entry into the HJC Pairs comp. We ended up winning it, so thanks to HJC and all who voted! Anyways, let's dig into this. The concept was to make some logos and uniforms for a future all star game. We chose to put the NHL's All Star game in Denver, Colorado. Below are JJ's logos, and my uniforms. It was a lot of fun working with JJ, and he definitely made some incredible logos. Thanks for watching!
  2. Over the past week, I have posted a few of these logos and they seemed to go over well, so I decided to run with the theme... each logo is inspired by an NHL team, but designed for a mini-mite-level kid's hockey team. Every logo is a work in progress, so feedback is appreciated! All designs from this set are available at: https://www.teepublic.com/user/csquared Up first is Pittsburgh:
  3. I've never posted a hockey concept before. I just recently got a template together, so I thought I'd try it out. I had a lot of fun making it. Thoughts?
  4. When I was in my early teens, my parents bought me NCAA Football 98 for the computer. I really enjoyed the game, and it was very well-designed for the most part: 100+ schools; full-season play with rankings, major bowl games, and major awards; school fight songs; decent playbooks; something approximating logos on the helmets. It was a very good game for the late 1990s---not as good as the Football Pro series overall, but distinctly collegiate and lots of fun. Anyway, despite the overall quality, there were two details that I have since learned were wrong. One, LSU by default wears yellow jerseys over white pants at home in that game. Two, Missouri's colors are green and gold in the game instead of black and gold. (Come to think of it, I think the latter was also the case in that college hoops game for the Super Nintendo even earlier.) I was wondering: have you guys and gals noticed any similar errors in other games? (Incidentally, Football Pro 98 has the Eagles wearing kelly-green-and-gray even though they were in their second season with their current and inferior color scheme.)
  5. Hey all, this is a little something that I've been working on recently. This idea was originally intended to be submitted to HJC's pairs competition, but @McElroy19 and I couldn't fully put together our ideas and submit before the deadline (but thanks for helping out and giving me feedback throughout the entire design process Matt!). and here is what the main mark looks like on a white background (and in BW). I'm definitely open to all C&C, as this is by no means a "finished" project. I am just a bit stuck on what I could possibly change/add/etc. to make this a stronger mark - if anything even needs to be edited at all. Any thoughts? Oh, and uniforms are on their way too
  6. I had been putting off the start of this project for a while and then I remembered school is right around the corner and so I thought it better to get it going as soon as possilble. As the title and header image suggest, it's time for another NHL redesign from me. The last one I did came in 2013 and looking back on it, was just awful. I hope that in the 3 years since, my skills have gotten better. Anyways, its another NHL leaguewide redesign, and even with Adidas taking over, I left all the jerseys Reebok branded. Lets get in to it. The last time I ran through the NHL, I was very sloppy, this time I hope to not be a walking disaster. Anyways, here's a couple rules I'll hope to follow: NHL sets a rule on jerseys: 5 can be in the rotation for any given season. Special event jerseys (Winter Classic, SS, Heritage) can be worn after their event if the club desires. Just means one of the 5 pre-determined jerseys gets worn one less time that season Have to have a designated home and away set, but the other 3 can be alternates, throwbacks, what have you. I think one team has 5 jerseys but you'll see why when I get to them. The Bruins are not the team, and here they are: Call me crazy, but I don't think too highly of the EDGE Bruins uniforms. The overoutlining ruins it for me. Plus, I'm just not a fan of the uniforms. Call it unpopular if you want. I went back in time on their look. -took the stripes from the '69-'74 jerseys -kept the more modern looking yoke design -deleted a few outlines from the spoked B, which improves the look drastically IMHO -BRUINS bear logo graces the shoulders. -single color NOB, also fixes the look. -home socks stay yellow, but both sets reflect the jersey stripes now. -black pants now feature standalone B on the pant leg. Alternate: Having two black jerseys feels really redundant to me, and so elevating the Winter Classic jersey to me felt a very lateral move. So I played with the design a little bit, because I was a big fan of said WC uniform. -basically flipped the colors on the WC jersey from this past year. -big ass stripes on the sleeves, and one big ass hem stripe. -modern bear logo on the chest. C&C welcome and will have Buffalo up next.
  7. There won't be any third jerseys in the NHL for the next season, but that hasn't stopped me from designing some anyways. I am happy to announce the start of my 2nd series on this site, "NHL Third Jerseys". I know, creative title, I hope that my concepts are a bit more creative. C&C is always appreciated! Below are direct links to individual concepts and will be updated as I post each new concept I post. Pacific Division Anaheim Ducks Arizona Coyotes Calgary Flames Edmonton Oilers Los Angeles Kings San Jose Sharks Vancouver Canucks Central Division Chicago Blackhawks Colorado Avalanche Dallas Stars Minnesota Wild Nashville Predators St Louis Blues Winnipeg Jets
  8. This Friday, the NHL announced the next outdoor game: the NHL 100 Classic, taking place in Ottawa between the Senators and Canadiens. Only the logo has been released, which is similar to that of the Centennial Classic. With that in mind, I decided to create jersey concepts based off of the Centennial Classic's style. For the Habs, I outlined their logo in silver, and modernized their chest stripe uniforms from their NHA days, by adding arm striping, putting it on the Adidas template, and removing the hem striping. I also outlined the outermost stripes with silver. For the Sens, I created a red version of their alternate jerseys, added some silver to the logo, and again outlined the outermost stripes with silver. Like the Wings and Leafs, I added modernized older alternate logos to the pants. What do you think? C&C Appreciated!
  9. I was wondering if anyone out there could help me identify the fonts used in the Toronto St. Pats logo as I'm looking to make a higher resolution version. Any help is appreciated.
  10. I thought it would be wise to create a separate thread for next season. What we know: -Adidas is taking over the production of the on-ice jerseys. Fanatics will produce the retail jerseys. -Alternate jerseys will not be worn during the 2017/18 season. -Edmonton Oilers will promote their orange 3rd jersey to full-time home status. Rumors: -New Jersey Devils are reported to have a redesign in store. -Washington Capitals are rumored to be returning to the retro jerseys full time. *edit- also if a mod could move the posts from the 2016/17 thread to this one, that would be cool.
  11. After finishing my Oilers concept, I wondered if I could make a decent jersey for their rivals, the Flames that still included black in their colour scheme, as I like their logo better with it. I went in the same direction as my Oilers concept with two stripes, and then added black stripes around and in between them. I think that it turned out pretty well. The numbers are triple outlined to match the logos on the jerseys, and I brought back their alternate logo from last year. Lastly, I wasn't sure on whether to do a full-length yoke as a throwback to these jerseys, and I'd like to hear what you guys think. C&C is appreciated!
  12. Bored. Did stuff.
  13. I personally think that some of the extinct hockey teams looked the best. The Whalers, Nordiques, Rockies, Jets, etc. had some of my favorite hockey designs ever, and instead now we get to feast our eyes on the Hurricanes and Avalanche. Sad. So, This is basically my attempt to rewrite history, if the new franchises continued the look of their formers, Starting out with the Whaler-Hurricanes. The whalers had one of the best logos in all of sports history, and awesome uniforms and color scheme to boot, which helps to make the Hurricanes design more unique. C&C appreciated, and although I have some more on tap, let me know what you'd like to see next! Thanks!
  14. WELCOME TO THE FANTASY HOCKEY LEAGUE! I created the fantasy hockey league in March of 2017 and orginally is a league with 16 team members divided into the Eastern and Western Conferences. Both Conferences have 8 teams and two divisons of 4 each. Each team plays another from the other conference and other divison twice (once home and once away), and plays the members in their own division four times (twice home and twice away) for a grand total of 36 games. At the end of a season, the top two in each division will enter the Fantasy Hockey Championship Playoffs. The 8 teams that make the FHCP will play their divison rival in a best of 7 series and continue until two teams meet in the Fantasy Hockey League Championship. Team names and divison pairings will come closly but feel free to help me with designing logos and jerseys! Expanison will come and most importantly enjoy!
  15. Mr. Foley, (the billionaire that's picking up most of the tab for the Las Vegas NHL project), has repeatedly stated that he prefers the name "Black Knights" for the Vegas hockey team. He's the man, so I've attempted a concept using Mr.Foley's choice of name and colours.
  16. Inspired by the chaos and fights in this thread, I decided to update the Colorado Avalanche's logo. Here it is below. It isn't a whole lot better than their current logo, but I tried to go off of what everybody in the thread said. Make the 'A' smaller and not-curved, and turn the oval into a circle. Only thing I did on my own was brighten the burgundy. I threw it together quickly and I don't like it that much, but I figured it'd be worth it to post. What do you think?
  17. Here is a jersey mock-up I did awhile back and two different iterations of it I've done recently.
  18. This is my latest concept, for the Edmonton Oilers. I'm not a fan of them changing to orange, but I understand why they would do it, because of the dawn of a 'new era'. So for my concept, I wanted to try something different while not straying too far from their current identity, with one goal being to make the orange more prominent. I used two stripes plus a cuff for the arms, and two stripes for the hem, because a traditional team needs traditional jerseys. There are no shoulder patches as they have never worn them. The font used is the traditional block font that the team was always used, but without outlines. Any C&C is appreciated! Side Note: Does anybody out there know how to do jersey swaps, mostly in paint.net? I would like to know so that I could see how the jerseys would look like in real life.
  19. Most AHL teams have adopted their parent clubs' identities and many are pretty close to it. I wanted to try and embrace that by creating the "NHL Night" promotion for AHL teams, where they look back into their parent clubs' uniform histories and make a past look their own. When creating this, I figured this promotion could be like a Sunday promotion, or since division teams play each other 8-11 times, they could use one of those matchups as an "NHL Night." Some AHL teams get crazy with alternates, so what's one more to the mix? Starting with the Atlantic Division, here are the Bridgeport Sound Tigers modeled after the 1978-1995 New York Islanders. We all know how much they like reminding us about the four cups they won in the 80s, so why not make their AHL club wear the unis they did it in. *Logos from sportslogos.net, template from the concept resources on the boards, and nhluniforms.com for jersey references.
  20. Truth is, I have been making jersey concepts for almost four years now and I thought it would be cool to post one and see what other people think of it.
  21. (Edit 12/30/16) Took a break for a couple days but I will get back to it soon to do some fixes on LA, and Washington for sure..maybe some others) I wanted to start a project that would get my creativity going, and kind of kick-start me back into the mood of graphic design. I decided to create my ideal NHL. (formerly "perfect", but nothings perfect) This is what I personally would change, or not change as far as teams logos are concerned. I accept all thoughts, ideas, proposed changes etc..... ******NOT ALL THESE DESIGNS ARE MINE.****** Some are obviously based on teams past and present logo archives. Some are from concepts created that I found online. I will recognize each and every aspect of a logo, or entire logos that are not mine, and give 100% credit where credit is due. Most teams have a current logo, and a source logo (the logo used for my inspiration to my own) I will explain the best I can how I came up with the thought behind each chosen logo. I know most of them are color changes, but remember..this started as a project to get me motivated back into graphic design. There will be more custom projects to follow ANAHEIM DUCKS CURRENT LOGO USED BY TEAM: SOURCE LOGO USED FOR MY VERSION: MY VERSION: (ALTERED ORIGINAL MIGHTY DUCKS LOGO) - I wanted to revert back to the old Mighty Ducks logo because I think it's more recognizable than the current webbed "D", it has attitude, and I just like it a whole lot better. - I felt the original colors were good to use since they are very unique, but I also wanted to incorporate the more 'orangey' orange for the sticks and the whole "Orange County" reference. - I removed the shading from inside the holes for the mask. ARIZONA COYOTES CURRENT LOGO USED BY TEAM: MY VERSION: (REVERT BACK TO ORIGINAL PHOENIX COYOTES LOGO) - Pretty much the same thought process as the Ducks. I wanted the older logo because of its attitude. The new one just really really doesn't do anything for me. - I figure the old logo will do good with an updated jersey, with the use of the dark maroon, and off-white for striping. Keep the crazy amount of colors strictly to the logo itself. BOSTON BRUINS CURRENT LOGO USED BY TEAM: MY VERSION: (ALTERED SHADE OF YELLOW) - Small change to the yellow. Made if more of a distinct yellow, instead of the often used "golden yellow" around the NHL. BUFFALO SABRES CURRENT LOGO USED BY TEAM: SOURCE LOGOS (2): MY VERSION: - I really enjoyed the outcome of this one. - I asked myself, how could I make such a non-photogenic animal appear menacing for the Sabres. I like the total idea of the swords and the buffalo, but something just wasn't fully there for me to love it. I decided to remove the heavy blue from inside the circle, changed it to white keeping the overall look that people love, but giving it a modern feel. - Some people may not like the light grey within the white, but I attempted to make the wordmark and buffalo blue, and it just didn't give the look I wanted. I like the slightly subliminal approach. To each his own I suppose. CALGARY FLAMES CURRENT LOGO USED BY TEAM: MY VERSION: (REMOVE BLACK OUTLINE) - Simply removed the black outline. Is it necessary at all??? CAROLINA HURRICANES CURRENT LOGO USED BY TEAM: MY VERSION: (MODIFIED) - Changed the center to a more simplistic design. - Thickened the silver outline. - I feel as though there is a slight sense of movement the way it is offset. Didn't think this logo needed a major overhaul, but at the same time...something was not right. CHICAGO BLACKHAWKS (NO CHANGES MADE) COLORADO AVALANCHE CURRENT LOGO USED BY TEAM: MY VERSION: (MODIFIED) - Removed the blue oval and thickened the outline. - I felt the oval took away from the sizing of the logo especially while on jerseys, and I felt that it really serves no purpose on a logo that isn't exactly symmetrical to begin with. COLUMBUS BLUE JACKETS CURRENT LOGO USED BY TEAM: MY VERSION: (SWITCH TO BLUE AND OFF-WHITE ALTERNATE) - I HATE everything about the current primary Columbus uses. They overused red, white and blue scheme. And the primary logo that belongs at an All-Star game, not anywhere else to represent a professional sports team. - In comes the alternate blue and off-white canncon logo. Along with the jerseys they use to sport this logo. In my opinion this brings the overall look of the Blue Jackets from absolute worst in the league, to the top. They couldn't switch to this style in real life fast enough if you ask me. DALLAS STARS CURRENT LOGO USED BY TEAM: SOURCE LOGO: **NOT MY DESIGN*** DESIGN CREDIT TO 'TORCH CREATIVE' MY VERSION: - I took the design from Torch Creative and changed the shade of yellow to a lighter version, getting away from the brown spectrum. - I really like the design those guys came up with, and I just can't stand the current one used by Dallas, just does not feel like a great concept to me. DETROIT RED WINGS (NO CHANGES MADE) EDMONTON OILERS CURRENT LOGO USED BY TEAM: MY VERSION: - I darkened the blue, and added the copper color (once used by the team) as an outline for the orange. I think it adds a little bit extra, without taking away any of the classic aspects from the well known Oilers logo. FLORIDA PANTHERS CURRENT LOGO USED BY TEAM: SOURCE LOGOS: (2) MY VERSION: - Not a fan of the new Panthers logo, I set out to create something that I always wanted to see, the old panther, slightly less detailed, jumping out of the sun. - I mocked this up against their older red jerseys and this logo really pops! HARTFORD WHALERS (TEAM ADDED) (NO CHANGES TO LOGO) - One of the greatest logos of all time in any sport. I just had to have the Hartford Whalers back in my perfect NHL, what's not to love? - Used original (lighter) blue and green. LA KINGS CURRENT LOGO USED BY TEAM: SOURCE LOGOS: (2) MY VERSION: - I felt there were a ton better options than the current banner flag / shield thing the Kings have going on right now. (Even though they've had success with it) - I wanted purple back in the picture, along with the crown and the font from that era. - After messing around quite a bit, this modern shield is what I came up with. I'd prefer this on a black jersey. LAS VEGAS KNIGHTS CURRENT LOGO USED BY TEAM:(ALL LEGAL ISSUES ASIDE) MY VERSION: - Added the 'Las' to Vegas because it's just better. - With the LA Kings change to purple for my project, I figured silver would be the best way to go for the Knights. The dark color is an EXTREMELY deep blue, almost black, and the unique shade of red outline reminds me of the Canucks when they went blue and red. At the same time this feels different to me. - Looks a ton better than the current mud in my opinion. MINNESOTA WILD (NO CHANGES MADE) MONTREAL CANADIENS (NO CHANGES MADE) NASHVILLE PREDATORS CURRENT LOGO USED BY TEAM: SOURCE LOGO: MY VERSION: - I wanted to get away from all the golden yellow parody in the NHL, so I chose to give Nashville a more mellow yellow. - I altered the sabre-toothed cat to be more fierce. - The dark color is a really deep greenish blue with I feel contrasts the yellow pretty well. - All in all the changes feel pretty drastic, yet at the same time its all so familiar, I think this change would become very welcome in Tennessee once the bright orange/yellow memory wore off. NEW JERSEY DEVILS (NO CHANGES MADE) NEW YORK ISLANDERS (REVERT TO OLDER COLORS) CURRENT LOGO USED BY TEAM: MY VERSION: (ONLY CHANGED BACK TO 97/98 SHADE OF BLUE) - I think the darker blue really really brings out the orange over the lighter blue. There's really little else to be said about this classic gem of a logo. NEW YORK RANGERS (NO CHANGES MADE) OTTAWA SENATORS (CHANGE TO TEAMS ALTERNATE AS PRIMARY) CURRENT LOGO USED BY TEAM: MY VERSION: (ALTERNATE LOGO FROM SENATORS ARCHIVE) - I do not like the current Senators logo. At all. I see what they were going for, but in my opinion, it failed. Meanwhile they have this beauty^ as an alternate. They need to make the switch ASAP. PHILADELPHIA FLYERS (NO CHANGES MADE) - My favorite team!!! Sweeeeeeet logo. PITTSBURGH PENGUINS (REVERT TO 'ROBOPENGUIN' BUT USE BRIGHTER YELLOW) CURRENT LOGO USED BY TEAM: MY VERSION: (REVERT BACK TO THE ROBO-PENGUIN OF THE 90'S) - Although I really actually do like the skating penguin a whole lot, I feel the infamous robo-penguin is much classier and noble. It was a back and forth on this one. QUEBEC NORDIQUES (TEAM ADDED) (LOGO TWEAKED) ORIGINAL LOGO USED BY TEAM: MY VERSION: - I thought the original Nordiques logo needed to be touched up slightly. The darker red makes the lighter blue stand out to me. Hopefully to everyone else also. SAN JOSE SHARKS (SWITCH TO 25TH ANNIVERSARY SWIMMING SHARK) CURRENT LOGO USED BY TEAM: SOURCE LOGO: MY VERSION: - It's hard to go wrong with any of the sharks logos, so I chose to go with the version without a triangle behind. Love these damn logos, top notch. ST. LOUS BLUES CURRENT LOGO USED BY TEAM: MY VERSION: - I wanted to go with the lighter blue for the inside, it just felt better than having the darker version. TAMPA BAY LIGHTNING (SWITCH TO ALTERNATE LOGO) (COLOR CHANGE) CURRENT LOGO USED BY TEAM: SOURCE LOGO: (ALTERNATE FROM LIGHTNING LOGO ARCHIVE) MY VERSION: - Didn't like the use of such a dark blue when I felt a lighter, more "electric" blue would look GREAT with a black jersey. (The letters and bolt(s) on the inside will stay white. Really brings the team identity to life. TORONTO MAPLE LEAFS (NO CHANGES MADE) VANCOUVER CANUCKS (SWITCH TO JOHNNY CANUCK LOGO AS PRIMARY) CURRENT LOGO USED BY TEAM: MY VERSION: (ALTERNATE FROM CANUCKS LOGO ARCHIVE) - It does take a little getting used to seeing this guy in all his glory on the front of a jersey (pictures do exist), but it's well worth it, and I think it would finally give all Vancouver fans what they really wanted all along. WASHINGTON CAPITALS (MODIFIED ALTERNATE 'WEAGLE' LOGO AS PRIMARY) CURRENT LOGO USED BY TEAM: SOURCE LOGO: (ALTERNATE 'WEAGLE' FROM CAPITALS LOGO ARCHIVE) MY VERSION: - This really could be my favorite creation from the whole set. I was back and forth on if I should keep the sticks or not, but they balance out the 3 stars that represent the D.C. flag. WINNIPEG JETS (COLORS ALTERED) CURRENT LOGO USED BY TEAM: MY VERSION: - I just don't believe the grey is necessary. Although it doesn't look bad on the logo as a whole, the current jerseys they use (beautiful in my eyes) don't really call for grey to be used, so I decided to make a more jersey friendly version. Don't miss out on the white outline that makes the whole thing look great on, you guessed it, those b e a u t i f u l jerseys!!! That's it (for now) Let me know what you guys think!!!!!!
  22. Since my last page was shut down by a moderator due to a lack of activity for some reason, I decided to post jersey concepts here that I had planned for the logo changes in my other forum. Note also there are no alternates for the first year: First... PACIFIC DIVISION Anaheim Ducks: Their current alternate is promoted to their Home jersey, while a similar reversed color away jersey is added to replace the old one. The "D" logo remains an alternate logo on the shoulders. LA Kings: Same jersey colors and striping, but the new logo I created in my other forum is added to the front of the home and road jerseys. Other than that, no changes. San Jose Sharks: New logo added onto the front of both the home and road jersey. The old logo on the shoulders are removed. The neck color on the home jersey is changed to white to contrast the blue jersey. Edmonton Oilers: Orange alternate jersey already announced as their new home jersey for 2017-18. No changes otherwise. Calgary Flames: There recent throwback jersey returns as their primary jersey to coordinate the new logo I proposed. An away jersey reverses the colors of the home jersey and uses the primary on the font without a black outline. Vegas Golden Knights: I expect a relatively bland uniform (considering the ownership), at least for the first few years. Black home with gray sleeves and gold stripe. The same goes for the road with an added black stripe separating the gold stripe from the white. The neck laces will be the team's red accent color. The primary logo will be on the front of the jersey. I chose a more classical font, they may choose a modern font, but I think that may look too similar to the old Ducks uniforms style wise. Vancouver Canucks: Same home and road uniforms but the new logo is added to the away, and an inverted version is added to the home jersey. The logo is removed from the shoulders on both uniforms. Arizona Coyotes: No changes at all. Uniforms were also updated last year, so change is unlikely if not impossible. What do you think? Coming next: Metropolitan Division!
  23. Here is my new concept idea for the Nordiques... Maybe its more of a AHL looking logo rather then a NHL logo but I think its a fun idea that would represent the Nords return to any league. The igloo is the primary and the polar bear is the shoulder patch logo. Comments and critiques are welcomed!
  24. Like most, due to Adidas' ownership of Reebok, I do not believe many drastic logo changes will come to the NHL logo-wise. I believe most teams will see either recolors or promotion of alternates to primaries, with only one or two teams receiving full on new logos. However, here are my ideas/suggestions regarding logo changes for both the Pacific Division and the Metropolitan division. PACIFIC DIVISION: LA Kings: I see the Kings keeping their current color scheme but this is a mixed concept that I made. It involves a mix of their rarely seen stadium series logo and the old crown from the franchise's inception, rather than the dated and complex current crown. This could work as either an alternate or (preferably) a primary. San Jose Sharks: I see the shark's new alternate logo for 2016-17 ready to take over the current sharks logo. This and the Panthers logo were the only all-new non-anniversary logos introduced this year, so I see it promoted to the primary. It is an improvement over the previous logo. Anaheim Ducks: This is the logo change I and most really want to see: the duck mask must return. Strip it straight from the already used alternate and promote it to a primary and demote the "D" logo down to an alternate. Edmonton Oilers: This logo is either staying the same or, in my opinion, getting a minor recolor to give it more of the classic look. Vegas Golden Knights: This logo was unveiled earlier this year. I'm not much of a fan, but it is what it is. Calgary Flames: Black will be removed from the team's color scheme entirely, reverting its colors back to the much preferred older color scheme. Vancouver Canucks: I think either the orca logo stays or, preferably, the classic canucks hockey stick "C" makes its way as a primary. Arizona Coyotes: No changes. METROPOLITAN DIVISION: New Jersey Devils: Although a new logo is rumored for the Devils, I don't see their classic NJ icon leaving anytime soon. If anything, I see their colors being reverted back to red and green to differentiate itself from the many bland red and black teams out there. If they do choose to go with a redesign, I hope it at least keeps the spirit of this logo. New York Rangers: No changes. Possibly the return of lady liberty? New York Islanders: No changes. However, the life that this logo has left with the Islanders scheduled to be arena-less in 2019 may be short... Pittsburgh Penguins: No changes. This recolor was perfect for the franchise and nothing needs to be added. Carolina Hurricanes: No changes, unfortunately. While the logo is bleh right now, the team has been dead last in attendance and I see relocation in sight. The team will not waste resources on a new logo if the team has no time left in North Carolina. Philadelphia Flyers: No changes. Very solid and classic logo with no need for change. Columbus Blue Jackets: I see their much acclaimed alternate logo taking the place of their much derided primary. This is a fantastic logo that better represents a primary logo than their primary logo. Washington Capitals: I see their word mark logo falling into secondary territory, while their eagle logo gets a few minor tweaks to color and design and gets promoted to the primary. The logo is amazing and its wanted. Do you agree? Will add the Atlantic and Central Conference soon...
  25. One (of my many) uniform pet-peeves is match-ups involving mixed throwback uniforms -- or even worse -- a throwback vs. current era match-up. I love that baseball is more apt to get both teams in era-appropriate throwbacks -- and to some extent the NFL in 1994 (NFL 75th) and 2009 (AFL 50th) seasons. But, the NFL and NBA have had some horrible mix-matched match-ups. I thought it would fun to find some of the worst ...
