  1. What throwbacks from the big four major sports(NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL) that hasn't been seen before do you want to see in a game, a season, or for now on? Here's my first pick: The NFL's Tennessee Titans going with wearing the mid to late '60s Houston Oilers uniforms for a game would be cool to see, but that's me.
  2. It's the most wonderful time of the year! Yes, Thats right. Last year I made ugly christmas sweater themed wallpapers for various sports teams. I'm opening it again. If you have and requests please let me know. I will also post all the ones from last year so there won't be any duplicates.
  3. 2018 Winter Classic

Here is a guess as to what I think the Rangers and Sabres will wear in the '18 Winter Classic - based off of the team hats that were recently leaked Thoughts?
  4. This is the night you love to hate. For this series, I am going to create a new set of uniforms for the teams playing on NBCSN's "Wednesday Night Rivalry" (stupid name, I know). Similar to how the NFL has their color rush games on Thursday nights, the NBA has their "statement" jerseys, and how many different "rivalry" uniforms are worn in college football, this would be the ideal time for Adidas and the NHL to showcase new designs on a national stage. There will be color vs color! There will be all new uniforms! There will be throwbacks, too! Stay tuned to see how this series unfolds. 11/1/17 - Philadelphia Flyers at Chicago Blackhawks
  5. NHL By Nike

Hey folks! So this will be my first series here in about six months. I haven't been creating concepts as much during the summer, but now that hockey's back, I figured it was time to continue. This series is focused on the 2023-24 NHL season, the year after Adidas' jersey contract expires. With Adidas not willing to extend their contract, Nike becomes the official NHL uniform supplier. Along with the switch, the NHL decides to lose the traditional home/away jerseys and replace them with a new system that mimics the NBA's new 4-jersey system. Each team will now have four jerseys to choose from for each game: FREEZE: The team's white jersey. CLASH: The team's colored jersey that closely resembles the FREEZE uniform. STORM: This will be the team's alternate jersey, using a dark color, and completely lacking white. PRIDE: This jersey can be any color. It reflects both the history of the city and of the team itself. The home team will choose the jersey they want to wear, and the away team will select one that doesn't closely match that of the home team. With that in mind, here is the first team! **************** CALGARY FLAMES FREEZE/CLASH: These uniforms bear a striping pattern similar to their alternate jersey from 2013-16 seasons, while the logo remains the same. The number font is also changed. ALTERNATE: The striping is similar to Calgary's early uniforms. For the first time since 2006, the team will have a black jersey. PRIDE: The overall design is based of of the WHA Calgary Cowboys' uniform, though it doesn't match completely. Thoughts? Comments? Suggestions? Leave it below!
  6. 90s to Now Series

Decided to do a mini-series inspired by the Mariners "Past Meets Present" scheme. However, the reverse applies to this series, as I am taking the best/most infamous sports logos of the 90s and giving them a modern color refresh, rather than the other way around. I'm starting off with the NHL, before moving onto the NBA, and MLB (I'm skipping the NFL because the league significantly lacks iconic "90s" logos and colors). With regard to the NHL series, the logos featured are the only ones that had noticeable color changes. In my opinion, the Blues and Canucks old logos with their new color schemes look the best while the old Capitals logo looks the worst with its new scheme. Hope you enjoy this series!
  7. Kansas City Scouts: Resurrection

While playing NHL 17, I came across the Kansas City Scouts' logo when messing around on Create-A-Team. I got to thinking pretty hard about what I would do if I were ever approached to build a new Scouts identity from the ground up, and got to sketching. Today I have a finished product to share! The Scouts looked really good during their time, and I'd be perfectly fine if a resurrected Scouts franchise skated out of the gate wearing those exact get-ups. I wanted to challenge myself, however, and went the way of the Winnipeg Jets with a built-from-scratch identity. This identity revolves around a war-painted horse with feathers attached to the mane as the primary mark. The alternate marks are inspired by painted hand prints that warriors would place on their horses for both accomplished missions and an oath of vengeance. The original logo is also used as the primary crest of an alternate third fauxback, which is a red, navy, and gold version of the original sweaters. Let me know what you think! C&C is appreciated, you know the drill!
  8. Saskatchewan Whitetails

Hey everyone, so recently there was a competition held by the youtube channel Post2Post and the challenge was to create logos for a new NHL expansion team from a somewhat reasonable expansion location. I chose Saskatoon as my location but the team will be named Saskatchewan to try and gain fans from across the area much like the Roughriders. The team is called the Whitetails for the animal of Saskatchewan and the team colors are kelly and forest green with white. With the colors of the Roughriders, University of Saskatchewan, and the Provence of Saskatchewan all having green I decided to use it, along with the fact no team in north american pro sports uses 2 shades of green as their colors so it'd be unique, not another black and red or red white and blue team. The Whitetails main logo is a fierce deer head facing forward to a bright future. There are also two secondary logos, one is the same deer head but with a 'S' in the left side for Saskatchewan, this would be used on the breezers and merchandise mainly. The second is a circle with a 'S' sticking out the top slightly and wheat to its sides, this logo is a modernization of an old Saskatchewan Roughriders logo. Wheat is a big part of this teams identity and it is seen on one logo, the team word mark, and their third jersey. This submission got second place in the competition, let me know what you think!
  9. So this is the series I mentioned about in my new look NHL, which now will be going on alongside this series, the AFL-NHL crossover! Australian Rules Football is an amazing sport that I wish had more of a global presence, especially here in Canada. For you folks who don't know what this sport is, here you go. I discovered it two years ago, and am now a proud supporter of the Western Australian teams. This idea came to mind when the folks at HJC started the AIHL (Australian Ice Hockey League) redesign. I'd been wanting to do another crossover series, and everything just clicked. Adelaide Crows Brisbane Lions Carlton Blues Collingwood Magpies Essendon Bombers Fremantle Dockers Geelong Cats Gold Coast Suns GWS Giants Hawthorn Hawks Melbourne Demons North Melbourne Kangaroos Port Adelaide Power Richmond Tigers St Kilda Saints Sydney Swans West Coast Eagles (update) Western Bulldogs I will be starting off with the two recent grand finalists, Richmond and Adelaide, then going down the ladder (standings). So without further ado, here we go! First off are the newly crowned premiers after 37 years, the Richmond Tigers. The team's jumpers (uniforms) are black with a yellow sash, so I turned it into a chest stripe to fit in with other hockey jerseys. The aways are yellow as a tribute to the jumpers the tigers won the premiership in. The sock stripes are inspired by the team's past home jumpers. The numbers are white like they are on the club's jumpers. C&C appreciated!
  10. Decided to give a redesign to all of the NHL uniforms, some to a greater extent than others. I used the current adidas format for everything. I started off by redesigning the Atlantic Division first (H=Home, A=Away, P=pants): BOSTON BRUINS H: New chest logo featuring the B as a more prominent yellow than the black they've used. I also removed the shoulder yoke to invoke the more classic Bruins designs of the past. Finally, the socks are now mainly yellow with a black and white stripe to match that of the sleeves. A: The uniform design stays mostly in tact, with exception to the new chest logo. The shoulder yoke better fills out the sweater on this design than the home uniform. P: The belt is now yellow and the new logo is added to the right side of the pant. BUFFALO SABRES H: The blue has been lightened and the silver has been removed almost entirely. The uniform style remains the same overall, but the weird front number is removed as well. A: Holds the same uniform design as the new adidas away jersey, simply with the lighter colors added. P: A new yellow belt is added and the pants' blue is matched to the home and road uniforms. DETROIT RED WINGS: H: No changes. I absolutely could not touch this timeless uniform in any way without making it worse. A: The sweater remains in tact, but the helmet is now red rather than white to invoke the "Red" in the Red Wings name. P: The stripe on the side is thinned to match the length on the uniforms. FLORIDA PANTHERS: H: The leaping panther logo returns to the front of the uniform in a much desired move. A: See "H". P: No changes for the pants, which really complement the uniforms. MONTREAL CANADIENS: H: No changes to what is a classic uniform. A: Major changes here though. The road uniform gets the home uniform's treatment. The "Habs" line goes on the road uniform now, while the logo colors are reversed to better contrast the line. The bottom stripe is also altered to better match the style of the home uniform. P: No changes. TAMPA BAY LIGHTNING: H: Black returns to the Lightning color scheme in the form of both the neck and the sleeves. The ends of the sleeves are now completely black, giving the team a much more notable look. Black is also added to the sock design as well. A: All of the blue on this set is outlined with black to add the color to the other part of the uniform scheme. P: The Lightning stripe on the side now features a black outline. The belt color has also been changed to black. TORONTO MAPLE LEAFS: H: The classic sweater remains in tact. The new socks bring back the three stripes commonly used on the Maple Leafs uniform set. A: See "H" P: No changes here. Up Next: Metro Division, where there will be a lot more changes...
  11. NHL Team 32?

Decided to give Houston the 32nd team out of the fact they would be in the Central Division, also thought it would be fun. The team would be called the Aeros and the logo i made off of an Air Force badge (lots of connections lately in the NHL and military). But with that being said I ended up with this and I would imagine I will do different versions. Might attempt other expansion options aswell, such as Seattle, KC, and a personal favorite Milwaukee. This is also my first logo I've made.
  12. New Series - Redoing the NHL

I'm starting a new series where I am going to redo the home & away sets for every single team. Starting from the top, here are the Ducks.
  13. DT Concepts' 2018 Winter Classic

Here's what I came up with for the upcoming Winter Classic.
  14. Buffalo Sabres Winter Classic Concept

Here's a quick concept I put together for the Sabres. Based off of the Buffalo Bisons of the IHL (circa 1932). C&C appreciated!
  15. NY Rangers Logo Revamp

Hey y'all, Decided to try and revamp the New York Rangers' classic logo. Currently, their logo set is a bit cluttered, taking on multiple fonts and styles mixed from both the 90s and the 40s-60s. Some quick descriptions: Color: Held constant from current logo set 1. Primary: Keeping the same general shield style as the current logo, although there are two major changes. The first change being a font shift back to an adjusted form of the 1940s-60s font that the Rangers used. The second change is the "Rangers" now reads step-style, rather than simply diagonally. 2. Lady Liberty Alternate Returns: Due to the seemingly universal demand for the return of the lady liberty alternate logo used until the late 2000s, I brought it back, adjusted and improved in multiple ways. The first change is the colors are updated to reflect the same colors in the scheme currently used. The second change is the new font, which same style as the one used in the primary. The third, although minor, is the adjusted shield, which now has rounded curves near the bottom, whereas the older version had sharp diagonal sides. The fourth change is the addition of the four stars, representing the four Stanley Cups the Rangers have won. 3. NY Pride Secondary/partial: Finally, I wanted a simpler logo that could effectively be used on alternate merchandise, rather than the more complex Lady Liberty. It involves the same font as the primary and alternate, featuring a silhouetted Rangers shield. It is in similar style to the Rangers proposed Winter Classic logo, while being a tad more modern. Lemme know what y'all think and if you have any suggestions, please tell me.
  16. ANAHEIM DUCKS ORANGE JERSEY

Just a concept i made in an hour
  17. I always come across cool sports memorabilia and never know where to post it, so I figured this topic deserves its own thread! Post any unique sports memorabilia you find, whether it is online or from your own personal collection! This item is up on eBay and I found it super interesting... a team-issued jersey, custom-made for Angie Harmon, the now-ex-wife of Jason Sehorn: Probably a gift from the team after this awesome TV moment:

  19. Welcome to my new series, the New Look NHL! In this series, My goal is to give each NHL team a new look (compared to what they unveiled with Adidas) based on many things, such as one-off jerseys, the team's mascot in real life, or just ideas that come into my head. This is not a tweaking series or an Ideal look series. Some jerseys in this series could be on a 90's level of craziness, and others a simple, timeless look. Due to my lack of logo-making skills, I will be using some teams' primary or alternate logos, or I might mashup some of a teams' logos. Teams: Anaheim Ducks Arizona Coyotes Boston Bruins Buffalo Sabres Calgary Flames Carolina Hurricanes Chicago Blackhawks (Rainbowhawks) Colorado Avalanche Columbus Blue Jackets Dallas Stars Detroit Red Wings Edmonton Oilers Florida Panthers Los Angeles Kings Minnesota Wild Montreal Canadiens Nashville Predators New Jersey Devils New York Islanders New York Rangers Ottawa Senators Philadelphia Flyers Pittsburgh Penguins San Jose Sharks St. Louis Blues Tampa Bay Lightning Toronto Maple Leafs Vancouver Canucks Vegas Golden Knights Washington Capitals Winnipeg Jets Let's kick this off! I always thought that the Ducks were a green/jade team, so I used Jade as the base colour for the set. The striping isn't exactly 'new' but think it'll pass. The stripes are not slanted, and feature three stripes and then a cuff the colour of the middle stripe. This pattern is also used on the hem and socks. I used a rounded font for the numbers and names to tie it all together. The equipment is purple aside from the helmets. C&C is appreciated! I am not doing this is any particular order, so if you want to see a certain team done, or a set done in a certain way, feel free to post any idea you have.
  20. Nashville Predators concept

Pretty simple, straight forward fix for the Predators. Their Adidas unis are a bit bland, and my goal here was to bring a little more life to them. C&C appreciated!
  21. Updated Detroit Red Wings Logo

Hi all, As many of you know, the Detroit Red Wings logo is the oldest logo in the NHL right now. As sacrilegious as this sounds, I decided to modernize/refresh the look of the Red Wings' classic logo quite a bit. Some of the new updates would include: 1. A New Wheel: The most prominent difference is the updated wheel, reflecting a modern car wheel cover. Additionally, the cap now showcases the rarely used alternate "D" logo. 2. Updated/Significant Wings and Feathers: On the current logo, the feathers are relatively rough and hard to replicate on merchandise. I decided to smoothen out the feathers on the wings, while also adding a bit of significance to the feathers too. If you take a look, the back feathers contain 11 "dents", representing the 11 stanley cups the team has won. 3. Minor smoothing: Rougher/inconsistent edges are smoothened out and evened. 4. New Font: The current font used by the Red Wings reflects the same font as the former home, Joe Louis Arena. In order to reflect the change into the new arena, I updated the serif for the team as well. This is a bit rough, but tell me what y'all think if the Red Wings chose to do this? OLD: NEW:
  22. A Few Hockey Concepts

In large part because of the HJC Open, I have a few extra concepts lying around on my hard drives, so I'd might as well post them here, too. The first one is a Minnesota Wild "redesign", which is more or less just an "ideal look" or a "fix" to their uniforms. Nothing special here if I'm being honest. Next up, a Colorado Avalanche concept, where my idea was to take the full length shoulder yoke they already use, but put a mountain design cutting into it about halfway down the sleeves. If that doesn't make sense, just look below. I also replaced the black with navy blue, though outside of the pants and gloves it only appears in the logo. The next one is a New York Islanders set where I tried to bring back teal. On the home and road sets I only used it as an accent color, and in large part kept the striping faithful to their current look. The logos are a bit of a departure, though. For the alt, I went all-out teal and even used a wave pattern on the hem. Next is a very slightly revised Penguins' concept that I actually posted as an alternate in another thread of mine a few months ago, but here it is again on a different template and with slight revisions. I think my design decisions should be spelled out on the image for the most part. Last, and possibly my favorite of the bunch, is a Blue Jackets concept. After seeing another Jackets concept, I thought that the Jackets may be one of the few teams that vintage white would fit well with, so I went with it. The striping is inspired by the Ohio flag, which isn't the most innovative for the Jackets, but I really like the way this turned out, and I'm surprised it didn't look any more basic than this. The typeface was also custom formed by myself based on the one inside of their alternate roundel, since their new Adidas typeface hasn't really been seen in enough detail to trace or re-create yet. That's all I have for now, but I should be posting a Sherbrooke Phoenix concept pretty soon once I finish it. C&C appreciated!
  23. NHL Football Uniform Designs *Atlantic Division Added*

Thought it would be cool to see what NHL branding would look like on the Nike Vapor Untouchable Template. Leave comments and requests below! First up... The Pacific Division LA Kings San Jose Sharks Edmonton Oilers Phoenix Coyotes Anaheim Ducks Calgary Flames Vancouver Canucks
  24. Here's a quick concept for the Columbus Blue Jackets I have put together... The two primaries are a breath of fresh air, as they are based around the striping of the Ohio flag, pay homage to Ohio's first NHL team (Cleveland Barons) and incorporate other design elements the team has used to date such as: Current name/number font Cuff design with the stars at the wrist Simplified hemline and logo usage The home's hanger effect reads "March On", and the road has a new "Columbus Blue Jackets" word mark created by me in a previous project... The alternate is a classy change of pace from the two primaries, featuring an all-blue look with minimal red accents...
  25. Strange Anaheim Mighty Ducks Jersey

So I was at Plato's Closet yesterday and found a rather interesting Anaheim Mighty Ducks jersey. It looks VERY authentic, even including a fight strap. Everything sewn onto the jersey is very high quality, but there's something off about it, and that's the main color of the jersey. It's actually maroon instead of the purple that the Ducks used. Could this maybe be a prototype, or could they have possibly used a base for an Avalanche jersey at the factory by accident? You be the judge...
