  1. I finally decided to post my Minnesota Vikings concept that I made in January. The concept is based on the idea that there is a home/away set, color rush, and a throwback alternate. I based the main set on the vikings current uniforms while also implementing the concept drawings by Hubenthal. I used the current Vikings font but without the serifs, added a white facemask, and tweaked the horn logo slightly. For the color rush uniform I decided to base it on the all white uniforms the vikings wore from 1969-1995 with the UCLA stripes. I based the alternate/throwback on the 1965 uniform set, where the numbers are outlined and the stocks dont have stripes.
  2. So I was looking at some NFL uniforms today, and the idea popped in my head, what if the NFL allowed teams to put ads on their uniforms. This could be a very real possiblitily in the near future, so I decided to whip up a quick concept of it potentially. This post is not my best work, I just wanted to get the idea across to everyone. For this I went very Boston by putting Dunkin' Donuts on the Patriots home uniform. Tell me your thoughts down below, and if you would like me to do this for any other teams. Thanks. The Vision: I wanted to see what an NFL uniform would look like with an ad on it. Quote: "Ads can produce a large amount of income, but is it worth it to hurt your identity potentially?" -Kong Tom
  3. Finally got some time to mess around with these hockey uniform templates. I thought I'd try doing hockey uniform versions of the 4 final teams in the NFL playoffs. Never did a mash up before so thought I'd try it out. Wanted to see what the thoughts were. It's the Patriots, Jaguars, Vikings and Eagles. I took various parts of the design from elements of the football uniform, IE: Pant shell stripes from pants, socks from socks or sleeve striping and jersey elements influenced by the elements on the football jerseys. Really enjoyed doing these and experimenting a bit. I didn't change/adjust any of the team logos. I just used the versions that the teams use in the NFL. Hopefully this works.

    2017-2018 NFL Concepts

Imgur Album Links: Saints Steelers Cowboys Chargers Rams Falcons Packers Jaguars Patriots Eagles With the NFL Playoffs starting today, I decided to mock up some ideas I had for a three NFL Teams: the Saints, Steelers, and Cowboys. I loved the color rush uniforms for both the Saints and Steelers; ideas from both are implemented in these concepts. For the Saints, the concept basically is their color rush; there is no reason they shouldn't adopt that look full time. I simplified their helmet logo a bit and brought back the Louisiana state outline logo as a chest patch. In addition to the white jerseys taken from the color rush set, the concept includes a black jersey with gold-white-gold-white-gold stripes as well as a gold jersey with b-w-b-w-b stripes. An alternate white helmet idea is also shown; it would only be used if the NFL were to lift the one helmet rule, obviously.
  5. As a Dolphins fan, it gives me no particular thrill to upgrade the logo/uniform set of the team that beats up on us twice a year, but the current Pats set has felt stale- even if, in its own right, it has become a classic. The silver with New England's helmet and piping (and, yes, at one point, alternate jersey) has always felt kind of odd, but they've really made it their own- the winning they've done in the post-Bledsoe unis have all but solidified this set as a classic, irrespective of its aesthetic merits. The Pat Patriot logo, though, still seems to have a particular resonance with Boston sports fans, and in an attempt to have my cake and eat it too, I did a sort of cross-blend of eras by updating the Pat Patriot logo but keeping the sensibilities of the current set. Would love to hear thoughts! Logo: Home: Road: Alternate:

    NFL Playoff Wallpapers

Hello all! I've been a pretty busy commentator here on the boards, but I've never done an actual concept series. I started one, but I was ill prepared to continue it. Now here I am with a concept series that we've kind of seen before. Much like the Bowl Game Wallpapers from Forbes, here is an NFL Playoff series of wallpapers starting wiht the AFC and NFC Wildcard Rounds. The concept is pretty simple, helmets facing each other, on a colored background of the team colors. The goal was to use three team colors if possible, but with the Packers and Giants and such, I had to use only two. C&C much appreciated as always, let's go ahead and get to it.

The way the league us now is better and I would love to see a LFL team here in NE in the future. Here's a concept I came up... The New England Glory. I hate how the eyes look and I know it needs some touching up but I want some feedback if im headed in the right direction and what should be improved. Keep in mind this is just a WORK IN PROGRESS.

    NFL concepts -Bengals

After a long time of looking at the great work of others on this site and after almost two years of making concepts I've finally decided to post some of them here. First up is my hometown team the Atlanta Falcons. C&C is greatly appreciated. http://s1382.photobucket.com/user/BenDavis14/media/Atlanta%20Falcons_zpsppeokbke.png.html?sort=3&o=0 Sorry it's posted as a link I've been having trouble getting it to actually post the picture. I will also post some other teams that I have done and they are in no particular order.
  13. My alma-matter, graduating class of 2014. I'm particularly a Mason basketball fan; my freshmen year witnessed the Men's basketball Cinderella-story trip to the Final Four, in 2006. Unforgettable. The current look, adopted in 2004, is passable for now, but as an ever-growing university presence in America, Mason Nation is certainly due for a refreshed athletic aesthetic. 14. Hey all! I got really inspired by Connor Brandt's project over on Dribbble of redoing local high school logos. Coincidentally, he's doing a district where I grew up: Omaha, Nebraska. I thought I'd take a crack at redoing my high school alma-mater - Millard South. I'll be designing football, basketball and baseball looks with this mark, as well as merch. But for this first post, here's my redesigned mark. As always, C&C is encouraged and appreciated. Cheers!
  15. I haven't been on this board for a while so I am a little out of touch with what is being posted. I've noticed that there are quite a few NFL Concept Series taking place right now. Hopefully my work won't be too similar! So I've had a couple of weeks available to attack this concept series. I will be looking to upload as much as I can as I complete the work. I won't ramble on as the series is pretty self explanatory but I have started with teams that I think need to have a change. Some of the changes are drastic, some are subtle. Hopefully you guys will enjoy the work and and C&C is welcome. Below is the concept order. Panthers Bengals Cowboys Titans Patriots Saints Broncos Jets Cardinals Jaguars Rams Falcons Braves (Redskins) Eagles Texans Chargers Lions Ravens 49ers Bills Steelers Raiders Packers Giants Chiefs Colts Bears Seahawks Vikings Dolphins Buccaneers Browns First up are the Carolina Panthers. I felt that although they have an already great uniform (despite being two decades old and unchanged) it was time for a slight change. Home Road Alternate Hope you like them and looking forward to C&C.
  16. I think with this latest revelation, we can get this story its own topic. Not looking all that great there, Aaron.
  17. I created a forum signature for the Patriots, anyone can use it if they would like to.

    Designing the Super Bowl

The Super Bowl is upon us yet again, in its 49th rendition. The Seahawks are back for another helping, looking for a second world championship in a row. The Pats are back for their 6th run since the turn of the century. Most people aren't fans of the game design-wise however. The Patriots have a fairly dated look, with lots of excessive piping. Their are some good components to their uniforms, however. The helmet stays mostly untouched, as do the pants. The shoulder striping is inspired by the look of the Boston Patriots of the AFL, and the NE Patriots of the 1970s-1990s. The new number font is used to match the new wordmark. On the inside of the collar is "Hang together". This is taken from the quote from Benjamin Franklin: "We must hang together, or assuredly we shall all hang separately." The undershirt is inspired by the uniform of a colonial American patriot's uniform. The three stars represent Super Bowl titles. Without further ado, the newly designed New England Patriots: Inspiration: The Seahawks uniforms were overhauled when Nike received the NFL contract. It's safe to say they own monochrome, so I stuck with that look for them. The stiping is heavily based off of the uniforms of the 80s and 90s, and the most recent stiping pattern. The twelve dashes on the front represent that 12th man thing they love so much, also represented on the pants. "12" is written in the inside collar and on the undershirt. Helmet remains basically the same, with the subtraction of those weird stripe-things and the joining of the Seahawk is a tad bit different. Inspiration: As an extra bonus here's what I believe the field will look like: Enjoy the game! Expect me back for a NBA All-Star game redesign soon!
  19. I introduced the Hybrid Logos in a pervious post. Here's the Boston/New England Hybrid Logos Boston Bruins (inspired by New England Patriots) Hybrid Logo. This logo uses the design elements of the current Patriots logo. The Patriots face is replaced by a black Bruin Bear and the red wave stripes are replace with yellow wave stripes. Boston Red Sox (inspired by Boston Bruins) Hybrid Logo. The Red Sox "B" replaces the Bruins "B" and the colours of the spokes and circles are replaced from the Bruins black and yellow to the Red Sox's red, white and blue. Boston Celtics (inspired by Red Sox) Hybrid Logo. This logo uses the simplicity of the Red Sox Logo to create the Celtics Hybrid Logo. Kept is the circles and font of the Red Sox logo. Replaced is the socks to a shamrock, baseball to a basketball the Red Sox colours to the Celtic green, white and black. New England Patriots (inspired by Celtics) Hybrid Logo. This was the most difficult of the bunch to create. The logo uses the winking Celtic man and the old Patriots logo as inspiration. The stance of the man are the same as the Celtics. The outfit is the same as the old Patriots logo (minus the cross chest straps). Instead of a wooded cane I used a sabre and instead of the baseball I used a football. The font of the name is change to the Patriots current jersey font. View more on my website www.johnmong.com
  20. Have the patriots ever worn (in their current set) the white (road) jersey with the grey (home) pants? I know they've worn blue (home) jerseys with blue (road) pants. If they have, is it possible to have a picture?
  21. Nothing too exciting with this post, but I've put together what Super Bowl 49 should now look like. The only thing I've really changed is the logo of the game itself. I've used some concept art as a base but made some alterations. The logo is in the shape of Arizona, I've added purple as an accent color, and if you look closely at the logo, there are stripes representing Arizona's Flag. Hope you enjoy. (Both uniforms courtesy of this very website)
  22. As I mentioned in my KC Chiefs logo concept post, I am obsessed with logos designed in the 70's. So after I did the Chiefs, I decided to do another team: the Celtics. I looked at the shape of a clover / shamrock and noticed that the right side could be tweaked into a "B" for Boston. Perfect! After I made the all-green version, I decided to make a version for the Red Sox by simply changing the color of the B from green to red with a navy blue outline: . . . . Then I realized that this logo now represented both the Celtics AND Red Sox, and realized I had a potential all-Boston mashup logo on my hands and wondered how I could incorporate the Bruins and Patriots. So I took the circle design from the background of the Bruins logo and put that behind my clover B logo, and then put Pat Patriot's tricorn hat on top. BOOM! I think this would make a great tattoo. If anyone wants to get it done feel free, just take a pic after it's done and post it in this thread so I can see it. I'd love to hear what you guys think of these!
