    NBA Redesign Concepts (Celtics 4/27)

As a Jazz fan who's not a huge fan of the current design (minus the City Edition jersey), I figured I would try my hand at redesigning the team. Changing the colors to dark purple, teal, and copper, the team resurrects a snowflake logo. The Association uniform is off-white, the Icon uniform purple, the Statement uniform teal, and the new City Edition uniform a gradient going from pewter blue to dark blue. C&C welcome!
  2. I want to start this off by saying that IMO much of the Timberwolves current set looks good (but I am a fan of the team). I am of the group of people that thinks they should reach back and use a blue/green/silver color scheme. I also think that the current "angry wolf head" looks like a strange wolf/coyote/saluki mix. All of these thoughts will show through in my concept. There are things about this concept that may have been tried, in another way, before; but it seems like this is the first time they're all put together into one concept. So I give you the Power of the Pack:
  3. I had this idea for the Wolves a while ago when other NBA teams were rolling out their "Pride" uniforms. Minnesota was primarily known for French voyaguers, Scandinavian vikings, Native Americans. I figured the MNUFC Loons and NSC Stars (when they were around) used the French "L'Étoile du Nord" theme and the Vikings using the viking theme that I should go with the Native aspect. The Ojibwe and Dakota are Minnesota's main tribes. I forget why, but I went with the Ojibwe word for 'Wolves' being 'Ma'iigan'. So using Daniel Ramone's template, I threw this together with the new Midnight Blue and Aurora Green of the wolves. I didn't think the current number font of the Wolves worked well with this, so I found a Jimmy Butler shirsey online and used that. The trees are from the promo when the Wolves first announced they would be unveiling a new logo. C&C appreciated!

    Minnesota Timberwolves Concept Court

So we have no sort of info on what the court for the 'Wolves will look like, considering the summer-long renovation, so I decided to play around with a template and made this. It's a bit rough around the edges, due to my limited know-how on graphic design, but it's just an idea I had.

    Minnesota Timberwolves Court Revamp

Lets face it: the current T-Wolves primary logo is outdated. They need to use the howling wolf in a circle as their primary logo. With that said, I have a concept for a revamped Timberwolves court. Tell me what you think!
  6. Back when I was a college student in 2011, I made a hybrid T-Wolves logo that combined the original logo with the current one. Yesterday, I finally decided to re-make it with improved bezier curves. This is the original image from 2011 (that quite few people have stolen and claimed to be their own logo over the years...but I digress...): And here's the new one with different color scheme and backgrounds/borders: Lastly (for now) here's one I just whipped up that I don't feel that good about...but it's a direction I'd like to explore more: Thoughts? I know the actual re-brand will likely alter things to a much greater degree...but I'm going to at least enter this into ESPN's contest. Just don't know which one yet.

    Ultimate Minnesota Sports Logo

A few years ago I posted a version of the logo that was still a work in progress. Here's the new, completely remastered version that was 100% created/recreated in Illustrator: https://www.behance.net/gallery/25720211/Ultimate-Minnesota-Sports-Logo It's a combination of the following logos: My ultimate goal is to do one for each state. Thoughts?
  8. The current ‘Wolves branding is a slight fixer-upper of a logo that was originally introduced in 1996. As of late, their aesthetic has gone from a nice mix of green and blue, to looking more and more like the Orlando Magic (especially with their two primarily used wolf-head and howling wolf logos) and in their uniforms, utilizing only black, blue and silver. The current trees look like legos, and the yellow in the eyes are garish. The NBA has an overabundance of blue, and unique color schemes are few and far between. With such a unique name, that suits the area so well, the Wolves owe it to themselves to have a stand-out and cohesive brand. With a young, fresh, unique and star-studded line up including the likes of Karl Anthony-Towns, Andrew Wiggins, Ricky Rubio and Zach LaVine, the Wolves need a brand that reflects this new energy. A full-view PDF presentation with process, uniforms, court, apparel and more below. Short preview images below the link: http://issuu.com/ianbakar/docs/ianbakar_timberwolves_rebrand2015/1 I realize the color settings turned out a little muted in the PDF. It's never done that to me. Still trying to figure that out.
  9. Minnesota has a lot of hope going forward. That hope will likely produce a new look in the coming years. This is my refresh/tweak of their current primary. I've always liked their primary but thought it was lacking a little fierceness, the eyes always looked dull. Also, I'd love to see the team re-incorporate the original Blue-Green color scheme. My reference material, aside from the current and past primaries, is this photo:

    Minnesota Timberwolves rebrand

Hi everybody. I've been slowly working on a rebrand lately of one of my favourite young new franchises at the moment, the timberwolves. I think its finally at a stage to present at least v1 so let me know what works and what should be improved. The main ideas were to make it clean and minimal and a bit more modern than the marks they have now, although I thought of redoing the sort of cool wordmarks they have now I chose to modify a font to create a custom lettering system for this. The colours and jersey follow the bucks a little bit in trying to be more minimal and I thought it was a good direction considering the colour scheme, and maybe using the grey a bit more than they currently do considering its the main association with wolves. Also I focused on a bit more of a geometric look for the primary as I found it hard with the composition of the first wolf I made. I also think I might do a media guide or something with this current branding. Cheers let me know what you think

    New NBA Uniforms

Hello again. I recently made a different topic similar to this one about the possibility of Under Armour taking over the NBA, however now we learned that Nike is the frontrunner. I have made previous concepts, but I have revised some. I have not included the brand because it is just a concept not based on previous uniforms made by other manufacturers. Revised Bucks Uniforms with Current Logos/Colors I will post my updated Supersonics and Timberwolves concepts in the near future, and also an alternate for Portland, along with redesigns for the Clippers and Raptors (Huskies). Tell me what you think! Bucks Logos, Colors, and Wordmarks Bucks Away: Bucks Home: Bucks Alternate:
  12. Hey forum! I'm trying to bring back the glory days of The Minnesota Timberwolves, the days of K.G. and Spree. Here's the court which has elements from their 2003/04 season court and the actual court that they use right now. Tell me! Should I do the jerseys as well?
