  1. Here is my very first concept I have created! My vision was to give my take on the most classic jersey in the MLB, the New York Yankees. I have dubbed my concept as "Yankees Evolved". I would appreciate honest feedback on these. I plan on updating this thread. If you want my take on a certain team, just comment down below. Thanks

  4. MLB Concept Rebranding: UA Edition

Hello everyone! As from my last topic, I didn't redesign that well and I wasn't being bold, so this thread will be. I will be "restarting" my old MLB topic from a year ago! This time, I will be doing the jerseys sponsered by Under Armour. Some logos will change and the colors may change. I know there is a lot of MLB threads out there, and I want to put my input on what I think they should do when the league switches to Under Armour. Each team will have a home uniform, road uniform, a home and road alt uniform, and a throwback uniform. C&C is very appriciated, as it helps me become a better designer. I hope you enjoy! I am starting with the Baltimore Orioles, then moving on with the American League then the National League. AL: Baltimore Orioles, Boston Red Sox, Chicago White Sox, Cleveland Indians V2, Detroit Tigers, Houston Astros V2, Kansas City Royals, Los Angeles Angels, Minnesota Twins V2, New York Yankees, Oakland A's, Seattle Mariners, Tampa Bay Stingrays, Texas Rangers, Toronto Blue Jays NL: Arizona Diamondbacks, Atlanta Braves, Chicago Cubs, Cincinnati Reds, Colorado Rockies, Los Angeles Dodgers, Miami Marlins, Milwaukee Brewers, New York Mets, Philadelphia Phillies, Pittsburgh Pirates, San Diego Padres, San Francisco Giants, St. Louis Cardinals, Washington Nationals BALTIMORE: I like the cartoon Oriole, and made that the primary logo. For the secondary, I made it the maryland flag logo with Baltimore surronding it. No changes really for the Orioles. Home Uniform: I added piping to the home uniform, and removed the white and black hat. I never really liked the 2 tone hat for Baltimore, so I made the hat Orange. I think that is an underused color for the Orioles. Road Uniform: Same as the home uniform, with the 2 color piping and kept the orange hat. Home Alt Uniform: I still added the piping, and made the hat black, with the socks being black. Road Alt Uniform: I changed the wordmark for the black uni, making it "Baltimore" instead of it saying "Orioles". I kept the hat orange also. Throwback Uniform: The Throwback unifrom is from the 1980 season, with the old Orioles script and the white hat.

Hey guys, just decided to show off some of my concepts I have been working on for quite some time! Link to each team (Completed teams in bold): NL: Cardinals, Cubs, Brewers, Reds, Pirates | Mets, Braves, Nationals, Marlins, Phillies | Dodgers, Giants, Padres, Rockies, Diamondbacks AL: Royals, White Sox, Twins, Tigers, Indians | Yankees, Red Sox, Blue Jays, Orioles, Stingrays | Mariners, Rangers, Astros, Athletics, Angels I'm a fan of classic uniforms and respecting tradition, but I definitely feel like modern elements have their own niche in uniform design. Modern can look great if done well, and not over-designed! To get started... First team up, the St. Louis Cardinals! Here is the logo package: The home uniforms are true classics, and are untouched--hands down one of my favorite uniforms in the big leagues. The away uniforms are slightly changed, with "St. Louis" being on the front of the road greys, and a navy cap with a red button and bill--harkening back to the 1940's and 1950's. The throwback uniforms are those worn by the very successful Cardinals teams of the "Gas House Gang" era. These will be worn on Sunday afternoons.

Thought I would take this out of the College Uniforms thread, as this post is pretty much merchandise and branding. No jerseys as of yet... I love watching college football and I like to see how teams change their uniforms over the years. Most of those changes have been for the better but there's still some that changed for the worse or have just always been bad. In this thread I'm not going to do redesign every team's uniform. I'm only going to redesign FBS teams that I thought have bad uniforms or could use some slight changes (which is around 30 teams). I'll try to give some type of explanation for teams I didn't change at some point too. I'm not going to post these in a specific order. And just because I post only a home, away, and alternate uniform that doesn't meant helmet, jerseys, and pants can't be mixed around. Teams I have done: Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan, Fresno State, Georgia Tech, Hawaii, Houston, Indiana, Kansas, Louisville, Nevada, Northern Illinois, Oregon State, TCU, Tulsa, Wisconsin, Western Michigan Teams I plan on doing: UCLA, Arkansas State, Georgia Southern, Georgia State, Louisiana-Monroe, Louisiana-Lafayette, Bowling Green, Southern Miss, North Carolina State, East Carolina, Texas-San Antonio, Texas-El Paso, UAB, North Texas, Charlotte, Akron, Kent State On to the concepts... Central Michigan Chippewas (current uniform) Home Uniform: Away Uniform: Alternate Uniform: -Normal glossy helmets -Unique pattern on shoulders and pants. The pattern might be a little too much, but I'd rather see a team try something different than use a similar template than other Adidas schools. -Added "Chippewas"/"Central Michigan" to front of jersey Up Next: EMU
  9. I always thought Wisconsin's football uniforms were somewhat boring. And I didn't like that they had uniforms so similar to division rival Nebraska. I liked the red helmets they had in 2013 and 2014 (Ex. one, ex. two) to change things up a bit but the uniforms still needed some work. When Under Armour took over and unveiled the their new uniforms last month I was pretty happy with what they did by keeping the traditional look but still making some interesting changes. I liked the "Forever Forward" theme of the new uniforms but I thought the changes were too subtle (Only having one very thin arrow on each stripe). So I kept with the "Forever Forward" theme and made some tweaks here and there. The most noticeable change I made was to the stripe. I made the stripe arrows thicker and added more arrows throughout the uniform (3 on helmet, 2 per sleeve, and 3 on each side of pants). It's hard to see but I put the "Forever Forward" logo on the helmet bumper. I kept the Badger Bold (modified Aachen) font for the numbers. I replaced the "W" logo on the chest with the wordmark and I removed the wordmark from the leg/thigh area. Lastly, I know the 3rd pants design is a bit out there for Wisconsin but I was just trying something different (I'm not necessarily a fan of it). Please give any c&c you have. If I get enough feedback I might start doing some other college teams too. Home uniform... Away uniform... Football field with new endzone wordmarks...
