Thankfully we dont usually get Fox feeds in Canada so I wont have to see this, but I feel its too square and not enough of a boarder that it could get lost if say the Jets played the Raiders or Patriots etc. it relies too much on team colours. On another note, I hated the Fox bar on racing events, it made much more sense as a continuous tracker bar. I like horizonal shapes for sports as well, anyway we can see more of the screen, the better. This one looks like it takes up too much. BrandMooreArt Posted September 10, 2014 Share Posted September 10, 2014 it works well enough and may even take up less room, but i think last years is more aesthetically pleasing and works better. the new one's type is less readable, or becomes less readable from a shorter distance. last year's use of black was smart as it separated game info from team info with an emphasis on the game clock (use of yellow). the new one doesnt fail in these areas, but it is less good. i do prefer the use of a logo as in 2012 because they are a faster read and most of the primary logos are on the helmets, so its very easy to see who is playing. even as you stand away from the tv, the logos become a clearer read than 2-3 letters. Especially with that stupid dancing robot, it seems they try TOO hard to cutting edge and futuristic.But then again, I'm a traditionalist who prefers simplicity so I may be a bit biased in my opinion of the FOX graphics.I also may be biased due to me being a Bills fan and watching 90% of the broadcasts on CBS, but I always preferred their look.
