Revamping/Renewing the Portfolio Site

Nice and fresh! I like how light it is, but I'm a sucker for that.

If I had to offer one criticism, it would be on the homepage. From a user experience perspective, the 'The Work' section is confusing. It signifies a significant point in the page with the parallax background and large block of color, but the only content is effectively 'click below'. If you've got the capability, I'd suggest using this area as a spot to showcase your best work directly on your home page. I'm thinking of the user flow, and I'm making this assumption: you want people to come to your site, check out your work, then contact you for you to do some for them. You can get that in effectively two steps by putting some work on your homepage, whereas the current layout requires 3-4 clicks to get there. It's a minor tweak that will improve the user experience and also liven up the home page just a touch more.

All right, I added a "recent projects" section in "the work" division on the home page. Teases my top 3 most recent or updated projects and links to the full galleries - and then a button below directing to the full portfolio of case studies.

Also, Doug this is Squarespace.
