Dynasty
Nice! I really like how the ring around the basketball makes it a planet. Orange is an interesting color choice, but I think it would stand out better if you used gold.
Funkatron101
The colors are red, white and gold. The effects are just my attempt at avoiding it getting ripped off easily, which changed the color a bit.I'll repost a new one with more accurate colors tonight. vicfurth
Simple and beautiful. It's one of those "why didn't I think of that" logos. Well done!
pianoknight
The basketball's outline isn't 100% connected. Obviously you chose that as a stylistic element, but I think with the rocket, the "latitude" grip lines on the ball, and the ball outline all coming together at the top, the logo gets just a tiny bit cluttered. It's not bad in color / JPG / vector form, but I wonder about print, etc. Would it look cleaner if the ball was truly a complete circle? 5th in NAT. TITLES | 2nd in CONF. BrandMooreArt
as much as i hate using basketballs in basketball logos i think this looks really cool. im interested in seeing how the gold actually looks without the effects. the R in the word mark looks a bit strange. the opening inside the R comes down too low and almost touches the points on the outside. the right leg of the R is also thicker than the left  GRAPHIC ARTIST BEHANCE  /  MEDIUM /  DRIBBBLE
MDGP
This is actually pretty cool. The only thing I could see being a problem is that the basketball through the ring kinda reminds me of the Heat logo.I'd love to see what it looks like without the effects, simply to get a better context of the colors. I've got a dribbble, check it out if you like my stuff; alternatively, if you hate my stuff, send it to your enemies to punish their insolence! DL Watt
Very nicely done. Simple, yet modern and effective. Were you going to design some uniforms as well?

I may look into tweaking that R if I get a chance.
LoyolaProp1
Really cool, maybe make the rocket a tad larger to emphasize it.

Quackcom
Very nicely done.Just an FYI, I see a face; the rocket a nose, base of rocket an upper lip, the flame a tongue, and the ball seam closed eyes.

Funkatron101
Added a new image to show the true colors. I'll mess around with that R a bit more before I work on the uniforms.
Philly's Phinest
This is really great. It's simple, yet modern. The red and yellow gives you that old school, original feel, while the logo is futuristic. Perfect balance of old/new. Also, that font feels perfect for the brand. I would definitely love to see some uniforms to go along with this. Very nice work!
