I live in Australia so we have different timezones so right now it is the 31st and I would imagine it's the 30th in America

Let me Google that for you

Four times IHL Nielson Cup Champions - Montréal Shamrocks (2008-2009 // 2009-2010 // 2012-2013 // 2014-2015)

Five times TNFF Confederation Cup Champions - Yellowknife Eagles (2009 CC VI // 2010 CC VII // 2015 CC XII // 2017 CC XIV // 2018 CC XV)

Has it started yet remember different timezones

Seriously? I just posted information about the Eastern Timezone...

Even with different timezones, there is at least a 12 hours difference between Eastern Time and Australia. For example, if it's 7PM in Australia, it's 7AM Eastern Time, on the same day.

This means it is impossible that it is September 1st here if it's August 31st in Australia.

I will post events in a separate thread in the morning of the date mentioned in the calendar. This means that you will get the information during the evening, your time.

Be patient. Once it starts, you'll know it.

Four times IHL Nielson Cup Champions - Montréal Shamrocks (2008-2009 // 2009-2010 // 2012-2013 // 2014-2015)

Five times TNFF Confederation Cup Champions - Yellowknife Eagles (2009 CC VI // 2010 CC VII // 2015 CC XII // 2017 CC XIV // 2018 CC XV)

I submitted my design for Event 1, along with some questions regarding my presentation. I just wanted to make sure my submission was "legal"?

Edit: I fixed all the problems and emailed you the right submission. I hope it is within time!

I understand you may have questions, but let me remind everyone of this rule:

Specific criteria will vary by event, but there is an overlying set of rules for the LOGOLYMPIAD:

[snip]

I will serve as the contest's referee, and will answer any questions about rules and event criteria. Questions must be asked within the event thread, and will be answered within the same event thread. I will NOT respond to any questions about an event in a PM, instant message or personal email, so don't contact me directly. Any contact via PM, instant message or personal email will be answered in the event's thread for full disclosure.

[snip]

For event 1, I reminded everyone of rules already. I will NOT do that for the next nine events, so be sure to read the event rules and submission guidelines carefully.

what time does voting start?

Events close at 11:59 AM Eastern Time, so voting will be set up shortly after, depending on the amount of entries I have received.

daylight savings or standard time?

Eastern Time is currently Daylight Saving Time. I won't start calculating time to post the voting thread. It'll be up early this afternoon.

Seriously, though, it's only an hour difference. You'll have three complete days to vote for your top 3 entries.

I received this via PM:

I have created a [removed] for Event 2 of the Logolympiad. I was hoping to get some C&C on the design prior to adding it to the final product. I can't post it on the boards as it will reveal my identity prior to voting, which would disqualify me. I was wondering if you could point me in the right direction so that I can ensure I create the a quality design for the competition.

Unfortunately, I will not be giving any C&C during the contest. I would like to be able to give you comments, but I must remain impartial for the sake of the competition.

You therefore have two options.

1- You can reach out privately to other members here to get feedback, but you risk disqualification if someone mentions what design you have done.

2- You can ask around at home / school / work for feedback.

The LOGOLYMPIAD is here to get you out of your comfort zone and to push you to do your best. Doing some work without feedback might be hard, but very rewarding.
