New Hershey Chocolate Logo

It's no doubt a step in a great direction, I just question the decision to change the Kiss from silver to brown in the white background version. I can see how it might look like a steaming pile of crap to someone unfamiliar with the brand. Perhaps keeping the Hershey's Kiss silver would have been a better solution. Besides, the silver foil and white ribbon are both part of the wrapper that come off of the chocolate together so having the (brown) chocolate with the ribbon doesn't make literal sense in the first place.

even in that version its not true to how the candy is wrapped, its a white flag. not silver. they're just going for the visual read that is clearest and the brown candy does that. i think the "it looks like poo" reaction is overblown, but if it really gets to hershey they can just use the word mark by itself. being worried that people are unfamiliar with their product is probably the last thing on their minds.
